PS5 UI Sounds (High Quality)

This is a sound effects pack from the Playstation 5's menu. These are really nice, high quality sounds and they were recorded with background music off. I ripped them from this source: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mdh1G7TQhVM&t=0s". I made sure there was zero popping in the audio. There's two sets here with the startup sound too. It's good to go! Enjoy!
To use these, simply download and unzip the file. Place the folder into your "LaunchBox/Sounds" folder. Then launch BigBox and go into the "Options" select "Sound" and change the "Sound Pack" to "PS5".

Japanese Arcade Ambience in Stereo
I decided to make another arcade ambience audio file composed from different sources on the internet, this time in the Japanese Arcades in legendary Akihabara, prepare for some crowded and noisy arcades lol The sound quality varies at some points but overall it gives a nice impression.

The way I use these audio files is just start the file with a media player before I open BB and then start some nice arcade games, it does add to the experience for me, although it could be wise to adjust the volume slider of your media player so you have the game you play set louder than the ambience unless you just love total sound chaos around you lol

Mr. RetroLust's Arcade Stick Sound FX
Just had an idea to record my arcade's stick sounds, think it came out pretty nice.
Extract the folder inside the zipfile to "Launchbox/Sounds/" go to Big Box and select the sound pack in Options/Sounds
Back = Hold and let go of the arcade stick, sounding a bit like a plunger
Select = Arcade button press
Move = Microswitch arcade stick moving
Here's my stick lol:

MegaMan Classic Soundpack

All I did was load up some MegaMan NFS files into Nestopia, record these and then do a little cleaning in audacity. I have always enjoyed the MegaMan music so I thought this was fitting. I kinda just wanted to have to do the Robot Master select jingle when I started LB but I figured, as I went on, that the other sounds were cool enough to use.

Arcade & Diner: 5.1 Surround Ambience
A completely different mix than the one posted yesterday it's composed and mixed in 5.1 Dolby Digital, out of 5 different one hour ambience recordings, each recording is slowly spinning 45 degrees within 5 minutes to either Front Left, Front Right, Surround Right, Surround Left or the Mid-speaker, but they even travel across the matrix in depth, sort of like 3D sound depth. This way the audio hopefully won't become repetitive as with most ambience recordings after a while. Can also be played on stereo systems although the surround effect will be less.
If you like to simulate an arcade setting, audio helps give it that extra dimension/mood. Just fire up the audio with your media player of choice and MAME-away
The file is an MKA file, the audio container format of well known MKV video container format. At least MPC-HC and VLC will be able to play it but other players may as well.

p.s. It's also nice to play the 5.1 audio with your eyes closed, strangely it relaxes lol ?

Mega Multi Wheel Click Pack - Hyperspin & More!

If you have a certain game sound or other certain sound/clip lmk. I will volume match it & add it for you.
Requires BigBox 11.14
Mega sound pack for BigBox when scrolling through wheels.
Instead of a single click you get many iconic game sounds & a few random, suprise sounds as you scroll.
The pack is put together & normalized by me. Of course sound cred goes to OG devs.
It has several of the common sounds included w/ stock Hyperspin (I re-downloaded/normalized only the best.)
I have added a ton more sounds sourced from all over the place & normalized them as well.
This will give you a unique wheel sound with every move. It will also sound quite unique compared to Hyperspin.
Install is simple... unzip & drop the folder into your BigBox 'Sounds' folder then select it as your sound pack under BigBox Sound Settings.
I only have 1 Select, 1 Startup, & 1 Back sound in this pack so if desired overwrite those 3 w/ your fav sounds youve been using.
Just dont add a Move sound. Leave the Move Folder as is.
This gives you the ability to run your same sound theme you currently use with a spruced up wheel click similar to Hyperspin.
Of course you can just keep the included Select, Startup, & Back sounds if desired.
Tips:
I like to keep my music/video volume low-ish, in the 80% range. I'd advise that ou do some adjustng of your video/music levels until you strike the right balance .
I DISABLE the 'play click/move sound when direction arrow is held' option in the BigBox sound settings.
I also DISABLE the 'play click/move sounds while in Attract Mode' under the Attract Mode Settings.
That is personal taste as it is too many sounds playing at once w/ these options checked imho.
Something else I find that helps ALLOT is under Settings>Options>Transitions set 'Game Image/Video Transition' to Explosion & also 'Platform Video Transition' to Explosion.
You can do any transition you want ovbiously but the idea is it delays the video start slightly & just enough to clean up the move/click sound so it sounds cleaner w/o much overlap.
I just personaly found 'Explosion' worked well.
I will continue adding sounds as more games pop in my head or via requests.
