  1. Thank you @kerszr, Your help is welcome. But I have a couple of points. Neo Geo Banner: The left character is stretched. It's something we must avoid at any cost. Atari and Apple II: There're some artefacts remaining (on the right of the atari and on the II of the Apple one). The famicom one is perfect! I'll add it in the next update, next week (I am going on vacation tomorrow). Thank you. By the way, the new version has a new view. A big tv screen

  4. You can change the transition effect at BigBox->Options->Transitions . By my point of view is that the Fade transition is the best to get a nice fluid transition. Wheels are usually Strench to the parent grid so it depends of a particular resolution the outer systems from the wheel may be cut out. I like this behaviour but if you want to adjust in this particular case to a 16:9 resolution the easiest way (after some tests at 1080p) is to open with a text editor the "PlatformWheelImageDetailsThumbsFiltersView.xalm" file inside Metallic->Views folder. Search for CameraZPos

  9. Launchbox is an amazing piece of software, a phenomenal front-end and I think it has the potential to be the best game emulator there is. Yes, I know that it's not an emulator and there are those who would say that Emulator front-ends should stick to what they know like Hyperspin, RocketLauncher and MAME all being separate. Let's dispel the notion that users actually want to have three separate programs or that it's necessary to keep front-ends, launchers and emulators separate. On the Mac side, OpenEmu has done an incredible job combining these three tog

  10. I used a program called "Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder", which is free, and can find images that look the same, but may be different resolutions and file types. It takes a some time, as you need to manually examine the results, but it does a great job of cleaning up duplicated images.

  11. @CriticalCid Thank you for making that so easy. I've created a theme and voila, instantly what i'm looking for. @Jason Carr I continue to be impressed by the flexibility of this system of yours. Hats off to you and your team, this software and community is top-notch! I know for sure that this multi-faceted front-end absolutely meets my needs. Thank you!

  12. I'm using Controller Companion for that. In my case, the home button of my DS4 controller opens BigBox. And select + home opens BigPicture. It's really handy. What's more, I can control anything on my computer with the controller only. Really. I can type anything in any software just with the controller, right or left click everywhere, scroll a web page with the right stick, and so on... It's an awesome software that I recommend. 3$, but it worth it. (if you want, you can also bind any key to any button in any application or game. Usefull, particularly for

  13. For me, there are a lot of games that I have played as a kid and want. I don't have to have all of the games but, there are a lot of games I can remember playing, growing up, and I don't know the name of the game. So I mostly get all of the games for the days I want to just scroll through the games and go on a Journey through time on gaming. I also have a curiosity of systems i've never played before like the Vectrex and Turbografix-16. It is quite taxing on space though and time consuming. I have about 4.5TB on my 5TB HDD. But, I do ha

  14. It would really be awesome if you release a 4:3 version in time. I understand that most themes are 16:9. It is not that i still use a old fashion monitor for my main pc setup, but i use LaunchBox as my FE for my Bartop, and i personally like a 4:3 monitor in there better, as all arcade games and early generation console games are made for 4:3 aspect ratio. Nevertheless, your theme looks amazing! Keep up the good work!!

  16. I'm french and I don't have any problem... Maybe it's related to your internet service provider... Sorry. Try to download the new version (0.5.4). Maybe it's better.

  17. That's a good point @wallmachine. For the first one, it's related to BigBox itself. You can try to remove every translation but beyond that, I'm afraid I can't do anything. The second point is fexed in the last version, thanks to you (v0.5.4) And for the last point, it's related to me . I prefer like this and we have only 5 views to customize. So I had to make a choice.

  21. 1920 x 1080P Scanline Overlay View File This is a 1920 x 1080P scanline overlay that can be used with custom BigBox themes and such @1080P. I have not tested it on higher resolution monitors other than 1080P monitor so I cannot comment on how it looks on a higher resolution monitor but I know it looks great @1080P. Also if you are viewing the png file in a picture viewer program that has a black background you will not be able to see the the scanlines as you need a white background to view them best. Submitter

  23. Like I said, getting full sets for pre 32-bit consoles is just easier than trying to think of the good games and get them. They don't take up much space at all and you never know when someone will say "hey check this game out" and you just fire it up and play it. It's when you get into the 32-bit and beyond like the Playstation and Playstation 2, Saturn and Dreamcast when the collections become massive in drive space requirements.

  24. I used to be like this way but forget it! I will never play all of the variations or regions. I go after games I want to play someday, like or are considered the best games for the system even if I don't like them. I normally go for the latest revision unless the earlier one is better. I seldom play PAL games (sorry) so I have mostly US and Japanese region games. I have a lot more HDD space nowadays too. Still for some systems I have complete sets but that is only because size wise they aren't big or whatever. Either way I've calmed down and am much happier. EDIT: I d

  25. I don't know but I need to have everything ? plus with most systems this approach has led me to find new games also for systems I had as a kid like the Snes. Speaking of full set's out linking to piracy of course does anyone have a led on one for Dreamcaat or maybe a text listed off all the games.

  26. A first update in order to avoid the problem of Favorites and/or Recent games. Thanks to @AeronNL Also, I fixed some visual bugs and added a header bar. I prefer like that, Better visual impact. I've a ton of new ideas for this theme, it's far from finished

  27. Then... you will be disappointed... This isn't working on a 4:3 monitor. Because all the UI was designed for 16:9, everything will be stretched. For 4:3, we have to remake every element and adjust it in every .xaml. Like create a new theme, in fact. But it's something I will work on later, I think. It will stays in the back of my mind and won't go away if I don't do anything about it For the question about the "Favorites" box, not for the moment... But I plan to add a lot of tweaks and it may be a new option, yes.

  28. Thanks guys, I am in full agreement that recording the videos without the bezels would be best, because then we have full flexibility. Personally, I don't care at all how much hard drive space 1080p videos take up. Having 1080p video snaps I think would be amazing, and well worth the extra space. My thoughts are that anyone who wants to use background videos in Big Box are definitely going to appreciate the 1080p videos. @circo I would think if bandwidth is an issue for this, which it probably is, it might be an opportunity to add another price point to the options. 30. Yeah for older console stuff getting an entire set is easier than hand picking but once you get into the larger CD based libraries it can get out of hand in a real hurry.

  31. That's entirely up to you I'm a got buy'em chinpokomon player myself (very Immense) so I'm down for having everything I proudly display my Barbie games everyday in LB plus I think music files take up more file size then the entire NES collection.

  32. Personally I like to get the No-Intro sets (Which are usually just one rom per game, save some revisions), delete anything I know I don't want, and then play the ones I'm not sure about for a few minutes and delete what I don't like. I've gotten a few systems down to 15-20 games that way (Game Gear for example)

  33. @Nielk1 I agree completely with everything you are planning to do with this app. Do you know what method utilities like ICE use for adding steam shortcuts? If the name of the shortcuts are API functions, could be a more or less failsafe way to future proof the renaming functions. Then, if steam renames files or moves them around, a simple update to the app could be used to deal with those changes instead so if they do remove said functions, no hard done. I also have found that the proxy app, when using launchbox to call Retroarch, it is not sending the qu

  34. I'm predominantly a metalhead but I do listen to some other stuff when the mood strikes like some classical, rap and techno style music. Stuff I won't listen to though is country and pop, basically if it's on the radio or TV I won't ever hear it. But then again I don't watch regular TV anymore outside of baseball and hockey and if I am in the car I got my iPod loaded up with metal.

  35. Sonic the Hedgehog Theme I made: I had an idea to try and make a theme for my Genesis system that I could use on all my games. After toying around in Gimp (I have my photoshop on a different pc) I ended up putting together a Sonic the Hedgehog theme with a tv in the spot where all the videos play. I have a picture of 2 different variations, one bright with no text and one dim with the game description. As you know we can alter a lot of options such as the view type etc. I placed Sonic where the game text should always be below his feet while using this view type. Right now I have it applied

  36. :) Personally, I tend to frown on piracy. That said, I'm not going to let some developer or publisher's poor decisions mandate whether or not I can play a game. I always make an honest effort to purchase a game, but if it's not available for sale anymore directly from the developer/publisher, I see nothing wrong with acquiring via "alternative" means. ;) I'm certainly not going to go hunt for old games on eBay; those purchases don't benefit the developer or the publisher one bit. So that's my rule of thumb. If I can purchase it directly from the developer/publisher, I most definitely wil
