  4. If you speak of the devil… I just saw this thread pop-up over at the HyperSpin forums. Maybe it is helpful for all of you guys. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/30288-game-hacks-collection/ Nevertheless, I just did a quick record of the provided Unified System Theme. 5. ClassicMini View File ClassicMini is a lightweight theme inspired by the NES (and Famicom) Classic Edition that was recently released. It doesn't feature all the flashy videos that seem to be the rage nowadays, but it's simplistic pixel design will take you back to the days of yesteryear. 16:9 aspect ratio is suggested, I haven't had time to test at any others so don't complain if it doesn't look right. Working game ratings if you have them set in LaunchBox ClassicMini Changelog: v1.2.1 (01/23/2017): - Changed the font to a normal sans-serif (Segoe UI family) to help with overall aesthetics and readability - Added filter/platform details to the text filter/platform view v1.2 (01/21/2017): - Changed the binding of the cover images to use the transition presenter instead of calling them directly v1.1.1 (01/19/2017): - Added a missing opacity mask for the text platform and text game view v1.1 (01/19/2017): - Added a Famicom styled theme. I had to make it a seperate theme because of the way BigBox shares some of its views. - Re-named the NES version of ClassicMini to ClassicMiniNes to reflect the addition of the ClassicMiniFamicom theme - Added Famicom skin images - Skinned the platform text view, system menu, and options menu - Minor changes to various image files v1.0 (01/16/2017): - Initial release Screenshots: Submitter Grila Submitted 01/16/17 Category Big Box Custom Themes

  6. Oh, holy smokes. If you get that game video view BlueArrow suggested going, I am all in on this theme. I've been looking for the perfect theme to give me that GameCube intro squeak.

  7. I am a Noob here but want to express my thanks for all the hard work @Jason Carr @eXo @donarumo have done. I have been emulating since I wee kid in the 90s but it was Launch Box, retroarch and the Exodos that pushed over the edge to put a proper collection together and buy a raid box. Its really easy and fun now to browse your favorites and discover gems you missed.

  10. @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT I haven't looked through everything yet but I am going to go ahead with the official release. We'll get back to bug testing on that shortly after.

  11. Similar to HyperSpin, I'd like to be able to press any button to stop the video and head into HyperSpin. Also, instead of setting a 'minimum time' would it be possible for a option to use 'length of video'. I haven't tested this feature but what happens if I set a minimum time greater than the video?

  14. There, unfortunately, is no option to make an on/off switch for the blur effect. However, it should be simple enough to take the effect away in the code. The code appears in each of the game views close to the top. You would just need to delete these lines of code: If that's too much, I can always post a copy of the theme without a blurred background this weekend.

  15. So much appreciated though. You do really amazing work. @CriticalCid amazes me sometimes though because it seems he has a knack for both lol.

  17. Hallo...just gauging if there's any interest at all in a theme I'm messing around with. Basing it off skainlurmis 's New Retro Big Box Theme. I like his theme but decided to tinker around a little and make it look like the consoles are in rooms that would match the decade of the console. Here's two that are a work in progress...One is for the NES. I didn't change the table/tv and a couple other elements that were already in the NRBB theme..just the wall, a new NES angle (i know the controller is cut off, was just for positioning purposes) and the posters/items/toys. The SNES one I started from scratch with a new table/tv and all that so that's why its brighter lit up than the original NRBB theme which has the darker arcade setting/lighting. Any other suggestions/comments? Doesn't necessarily have to be a bedroom...could be any room but using a blank wall as a background with some flooring makes it easier to use posters of the decade in the back. If there's no real interest that's ok..I'm still going to do them for my own use Here's the two samples. Work in Progress and I've never created a theme before so be gentle lol. EDIT: Added an update to the SNES pic...didn't like the table open on the bottom so closed it and added some stickers...also some soda and candy. EDIT 2: 4th image added for SNES...is the actual arcade game in a room too much? I figured this person loves games and may have an arcade in their room too.

  20. You'd be surprised. Not only is it ridiculously hard to make it in the music industry, artists aren't paid very well because all the music labels are all super greedy and take all the money. I'm happy sticking with development (also not having to tour is a huge win).

  25. Hey guys! So I feel kind of stupid, when I select 'RetroFresh 1.1' as a theme within BigBox, it reverts back to the default theme when I got back into BigBox. So I'm not actually getting the theme. I followed the instructions, put it in the Theme folder, installed the fonts, and went into BigBox and switched to that theme, but it doesn't seem to be working. *shrugs Any ideas would be great. Thank you! Can't wait to use the new theme!

  37. Can the disappearing taskbar thing be made optional? It is interferring with browsing at guides online, following video tutorials online, and the script making/testing procedure. (I'm a user that didn't have a problem with taskbar appearing on top of bigbox). Either that or make it only happen when bigbox is on top and is the focus, thx. Same with game place memorization. I'd like that optional too please.

  38. Thanks @kmoney, yes I am aware of that. If there's not a ticket for it, we should add one. It's not a super high priority, but we should add a Platform option to the Steam importer.

  39. Just to say @Jason Carr, messed about with bigbox for a few hours yesterday evening, and a few hours today. Absolutely rock solid, not a single crash for me. So great work as always! I say put it out. lol

  42. @Jason Carr One more thing I am not sure if you are aware of (has been going on a while now). When I purchase new games for Steam in my Steam account and then I rerun the Steam importer in LB it detects my new games correctly but it always imports the new games as the platform "Windows". My Steam platform is called "Steam" in LB and I have it set to Scrape as "Windows". I currently do not have a platform called Windows so the importer creates a new platform called Windows and puts the new detected Steam games in that platform. I can easily get them transfered back into my Steam platform by doing a bulk edit and changing the image and video folders but its just an added step I guess. Just wanted to point it out in case you were not aware.

  44. @Jason Carr So the upload is underway to Mega, but it's about 6GBs so it'll take a bit to finish; I split it into 100MB chunks. I have attached the results of the testing (this is also included with the videos). Out of 10 attempts (5 with VLC and 5 with WMP), I managed to get a crash 9 times. I exclusively used my SNES category since I am 100% sure every game has a video and MP3 associated with it. The issue that came up during the third WMP test has never occurred before, so that is a new one. I'll post back once the videos are ready for download. Test Results.docx

  45. I'll be home to start my testing in about 2hrs. I'm going to record the attempts and upload ones that error/crash to my Mega and I'll provide the link to it. Thanks for your concerted efforts!

  46. @Jason Carr I am in agreement with @shinra358 on the video issue of pausing and resuming. Although my system can handle it I am ok with the the game or platform video starting back over from the beginning of the video verses it pausing and resuming where the video left off when you exit back out from a game or platform. As long as the video starts back up automatically when exiting a game or exiting from the game list into the platforms list I am happy. On my system when exiting out of game the game video already starts back automatically from the beginning of the video. The only time I notice the pause and resume where the video left off is when exiting out of the games list back into the platforms list. I actually would prefer the platform video to start back automatically over from the beginning verses resuming where it left off when exiting from the games list. Maybe others can chime in and give opinion.

  47. Hey all, I just put out version 1.1 already lol. I added a bunch of features (and one fix) this past weekend and things seem to be working well enough. Here's the change log: - New "Move to Top" and "Move to Bottom" options are available under the Edit menu - New "Insert Separator" option available under the Edit menu - Each application can now have a separate set of commands for configuring the application - New explicit "Run Selected" and "Configure Selected" options are available under the File menu - New "Browse and Run" option is available under the File menu - New "Lock" option is available under the File menu to help prevent accidental changes - Changed the batch file process to better support DOSBox and older versions of MS-DOS I updated the download link in the main post, and here it is again: http://bit.ly/LBXDOS11 Happy MS-DOS.
