A set of 155 (with more to come) platform videos, that I have created to match perfectly with my Refried theme. I have used the same character,Background, and border art in the videos, that is in the theme, for the majority of the videos. I am sure it's obvious where the influence came from for the theme, but, this whole thing started out as an alternate version to the Unified theme, which sort of took off and became something slightly different overall. While I do have plans for about 60+ more videos to add to this set,I am afraid I cannot take requests,at least until the project,as a whole, is co

The idea of this set is to place the gameplay video in context, with the hardware of its time. A touch of nostalgia to better understand an unknown material especially for the youngest. Most of the montages use the EmuMovie gameplay videos. The others are mine. This video set is also available in 16:9 ratio here I also share the gameplay videos I create with the help of the community. On EmuMovie FTP : "Upload here > _Video Snap Submissions > Viking (Platform Video)" /!\ IMPORTANT NEWS /!\ Dad of 2 young children, I dont have enough time to make anoth

  3. This is a guide on how to import Blizzard Games into LaunchBox correctly. Aim If logged into Battle.net/Blizzard app, clicking on a game will immediately launch the game. This will avoid the situation where you click on a game and the Battle.net/Blizzard app opens and waits for you to select a game. Let's get started: First of all, we need to create shortcuts that bypass the launcher for each game. Navigate to the location of your Battle.net client. e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net" Right-click on the shortcut titled "Battle.net"

Hope you all enjoy it! It was a toss up between the Juno Reactor's remix of Traci Lords's "Control" or Napalm Death's "Twist the Knife Slowly" from the original movie soundtrack. Decided on this one, but if someone would prefer the Napalm Death track, just let me know and I can upload a version with it, though I'd probably take out the gong sound effect and the two "Get over here" and "Fight" sound bites from that one. @angelobodetti, Here it is! MAME 0.218 NO NAG It’s time for MAME 0.218, the first MAME release of 2020! We’ve added a couple of very interesting alternate versions of systems this month. One is a location test version of NMK’s GunNail, with different stage order, wider player shot patterns, a larger player hitbox, and lots of other differences from the final release. The other is The Last Apostle Puppetshow, an incredibly rare export version of Home Data’s Reikai Doushi. Also significant is a newer version Valadon Automation’s Super Bagman. There’s been enough progress made on Konami’s medal games for a number of th

Hello everyone! My Name is Filipe and i've been making some themes for emulationstation, specially for the Retropie version. I've bought a license on the last Black friday sale and started to messing with Launchbox and i loved it! it's such an awesome frontend! I started to learn about custom themes and made a port of one of my ES themes to Launchbox. I hope you like it! Special thanks for @CriticalCid for all the help and for his awesome theme, without it, i surely wouldn't understand XAML for sure!

83 unique playlist logo sets I created to go with the new Auto Generated Playlist feature recently added. These took quite some time to make, considering I had to create entire fonts for some of them (ScummVM,MAME,NEC SuperGrafx, etc.) due to no font existing, and editing similar fonts to resemble the system fonts for others. Each set contains 8 logos covering the following.. All Games Genres Favorites Play Modes Regions Single Player Multiplayer Cooperative Not every playlist/platform will utilize every logo, but, just for completionist sake,I made them

So based on what "JPGIII" started by creating 650+ Silver Ring Logos for Arcade games. I have created an additional 2,316 Logos which now completes my Mame .202 romset. So If you download this set, make sure you download JPGIII set as well. ArcadeAllKillNoFillSilverRing I created a lot of the Japanese/far east logos as well even though I will delete most of those games from my set. so there could be some missing as I have deleted some already. But this should complete most peoples setup of arcade Logos. Template enclosed in case anyone needs to make some more.

  11. Looks like I've figured out all the pieces needed to do this. It's too early for me to post the dll, but I will need some help testing especially for Win 8/10; I use 7. The plugin will be a simple dropin, with minimal-to-no config required. The plan is to facilitate overlays for emulators that do not support them, and also to have a pause menu to facilitate a universal way to save and load states, as well as to display game manuals. Ideally, it will also have fade screen on emu start and stop, but I've run into some snags with that. Any advice is welcome.

  12. I can add this to my list, but I don't think there's a way to do it currently without me adding something to the code. I know that some themes do it with the wheels already, but I doubt that solution would work for CoverFlow. I'll add it to my list.

  13. I'm not overly concerned with loading screens, fading, or bezels. They'd be nice to have, but not if they'll significantly impact performance or delay implementation of the more useful features. Pause screen features, however, would be a huge improvement. In my ideal setup, the pause screen would display the controller mapping, have a button to bring up the game manual, state save/load buttons, and reset/quit buttons. It doesn't need to be particularly fancy. Just having a unified pause menu across all emulators would go a long way to perfecting the bigbox experience.

  15. You know what would be awesome @harryoke ? if you could write up a tutorial that takes us all through your creative process. sort of like "hi I'm harry and I'm responsible for the bulk of the startup videos here at launchbox, I use these and these applications for creating my content and here is how I do it"

  16. yes all changes will be written to that specific ini file. adding games is easy, if you hold shift in the scummvm menu you can bulk import, so point it at the folder where you store your games and it will scan the underlying folders recursivly. it will add everything you have stored there. btw, if you are using retroarch, I ended up renaming all the .epicfail file extensions to .scummvm, the epicfail files were not taken for some reason. I used powershell to make it easier. from the root folder where you store your games, open a powershell command box and feed it the following c

  17. I have a dedicated arcade machine with an exit button, so I have not. My GUESS would be, with the Dolphin bar in Mode 4, all the Wii remote buttons are captured by Dolphin itself and mapping to an exit key would not work. Looking in the controller configuration inside of Dolphin, doesn't look like it possible to map buttons outside of the emulation itself. (aka an exit key)

  18. Holy crap, glad I came in to check what was new with the plugins. I've been waiting for something like this since I got back into retro-gaming. I've tried to play with RocketLauncher, but didn't like it, found it too bloated and cumbersome to setup. Looking forward to this immensely

  19. Will this be in Launchbox? Would be great to be able to set platform specific views - for example setting box size settings per platform!

  20. Couple things: I'll look into updating the plugin themer to the newest version. I'm sure that will fix a bunch of issues with playlists. @Scratcher There should be a property on the video somewhere called StretchVideo, which you can remove. That should keep native aspect ratio intact. That property may be located in the Retrotastic.xaml file.

Theme for a Mario series playlist. Similar to Mega Man, I put all Mario games into a single category; Mario Kart to Super Mario Bros. However, since some people might use separate playlists for things like Mario Kart, I put focus on featuring gameplay from the platformers in the series and didn't incorporate any art from non-platformers in the theme. Hope you guys like it! Pixel art banner. Just put in the Banner folder in your Mario Playlist folder.
