Whoa quite a few of these poll items are really getting into the weeds, which is a testament to how feature-rich LB /BB has become. Great job!

Please direct your attention to the parsec intagration option on the poll. If anyone is unaware, parsec is a virtual desktop program that allows you to control another computer from your own system, at a respectable latency rate. Using this program, it is possible to play a game or ROM with a friend, without leaving the house. Wanna have 35 round game of Mario Party with your friend in Texas? No problem. Need to prove once and for all that you are the Street Fighter 2 battle master to your brother in Maine? Not an issue. Wanna enjoy a fun day of Kirby with your significant other in another country? Don't even sweat. While this definitely isn't the only cool thing on the poll, it is really exciting, and should have more votes in my personal opinion. Thank you all for your time, and thank Jason for all being extremely involved in this community.

Hey @Everyone I would like to take a moment to try to persuade you to vote for the (in my opinion) one of the most important features in this poll: Big Box Wall View Overhaul My case: As you can see HERE and HERE both @Grila and @CriticalCid (two of the most recognized theme developers) have had problems with the wall view since September 2018, citing limits on what it can do and limiting their creative visions. The goal? A real, well fleshed out, balls out, true 10 foot experience, console-like quality UI, like these dreams: Without these upgrades, this kind of User Interfaces are going to be VERY hard to exist on our premium product, Big Box. Believe me, once we have this kind of upgrades, I think the theme development scene will improve tremendously. Please, to all of you: Vote for Big Box Wall View Overhaul This is our opportunity to tell @Jason Carr that this is the most important thing for the future of Big Box, the main feature that keeps the development going as a succesful business! Thanks for reading, and thanks for all your hard work, Jason!!!

Note: using these requires LaunchBox 9.10 beta 1, or above. The files in the attached archive are the start of my effort to create 'default' images for most of my installed platforms. Copy the archive to your <launchbox install directory>\Images\Platforms directory and extract there. Start Launchbox, select your matching platform names, then refresh all images. Any missing media in your same image categories as mine should now show up (you may have to rename some of the extracted directories if they don't match the platform names in LaunchBox). I modeled most of these on graphic types from EmuMovie assets. Please feel free to make requests, or post your own default images. The archive has files for the following platforms: 3D Nintendo Entertainment System Acorn BBC Micro Acorn Electron Amstrad CPC Amstrad GX4000 Apogee BK-01 Arcade Atari 800 Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari 7800 Homebrew Atari Jaguar Atari Jaguar CD Atari Lynx Atari ST Bally Astrocade Bandai Sufami Turbo Bandai Super Vision 8000 Camputers Lynx ColecoVision Commodore 64 Commodore 128 Commodore Amiga Commodore Amiga CD32 Commodore CDTV Commodore MAX Machine Commodore Pet Commodore Plus 4 Commodore VIC-20 Dendy Dragon 32 Dragon 64 Emerson Arcadia 2001 Entex Adventure Vision Epoch Super Cassette Vision Fairchild Channel F GCE Vectrex Magnavox Odyssey 2 Mattel Intellivision Microsoft MSX Microsoft MSX2 Microsoft XBOX Microsoft XBOX 360 MS-DOS MUGEN NEC PC-8801 NEC PC-9801 NEC PC-FX NEC PC Engine NEC PC Engine-CD NEC SuperGrafx NEC TurboGrafx-16 NEC TurboGrafx-CD Nintendo 3DS Nintendo 64 Nintendo 64 (Japan) Nintendo 64DD Nintendo DS Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Famicom Nintendo Game Boy Nintendo Game Boy Advance Nintendo Game Boy Color Nintendo GameCube Nintendo MSU-1 Nintendo Satellaview Nintendo Switch Nintendo Virtual Boy Nintendo Wii Nintendo Wii U Nintendo WiiWare Panasonic 3DO Philips CD-I Philips Videopac G7000 Philips Videopac Plus G7400 PopCap RCA Studio II Sega 32X Sega CD Sega CD 32X Sega Dreamcast Sega Game Gear Sega Genesis Sega Master System Sega Mega-CD Sega Mega Drive Sega Saturn Sega SG-1000 Sharp MZ-2500 Sharp X68000 Sinclair ZX-81 Sinclair ZX Spectrum SNK Neo Geo AES SNK Neo Geo CD SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Sony Playstation 3 Sony Playstation Vita Sony PSP Sony PSP Minis SpectraVideo Super Nintendo Entertainment System Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Pal) Tandy TRS-80 Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer Windows WonderSwan WonderSwan Color

Proper Support for Year-Only Release Dates There are thousands of games from the 90s and 80s out there with uncertain release date. Nobody knows for sure when exactly they were released, except the year. Forcing Launchbox to use a random date isn't useful at all and it doesn't look nice. The better way is to implement an option to switch from a DD/MM/YYYY format to a "Year only" format.

Welcome to the LaunchBox 2019 New Feature Poll! This list was community sourced from BitBucket, the forums, and vetted over via a live stream with the community. Just thought I'd play around with LaunchBox and use it in a way that is wasn't intended. This took me over a month and a half of work tidying up my collection, creating covers with Comic Utility Belt and finally importing everything into Launchbox (as I added more and more platforms LaunchBox started taking more time to import them) In total its 38,663 comics in 3,572 platforms. The video is not what I wanted it to be as I envisioned it with captions that explained things but that just wasn't in my skill set so you got this shitty video instead. The platform category Cross-Over Events is made of all playlist and the reading orders were obtained from a website Comic Book Reading Order

Redream is pretty good overall, you can't upscale unless you buy the $5 license though. Demul is the most compatible but it's kind of old and clunky in my opinion. The Reicast core for Retroarch it's also a decent option, I use it myself for everything Dreamcast related that it's not WinCE (gotta go with Demul for that).

Well, guess I figured it out. Don't need the custom playlist after all--I just needed to restart LB to see that the custom field and all its values are inserted into the filter list automatically, so now I can easily filter by Emulator. Cool.

I dont get why this is needed, all emulators have a option for input and its usually as simple as clicking a button in the UI then pressing the button you want on your controller. I dont see why a frontend should have/need to handle this at all as its complicated to implement and has to be done on a per emulator basis. At the end of the day it would end up being very similar to what you already do inside of the emulator to set controls. So yeah, i dont get the need for it.

Jason went off the input of the users in the chat and at the end of it there were 38 green items that got a lot of positive response. This left 2 slots to move yellow items over to the final poll which we discussed as a group in the mods channel in Discord and felt that Parental Restrictions and Name Media to the File Name were the 2 most important features out the other "yellow" items. This is just how putting things to the community goes, the majority rules. I do feel your pain though, there have been times in the past polls where something I wanted to see added not get enough positive response from the community and even times when items I did want got added they ended up getting only a handful of votes. On the bright side though Jason does at times add in a feature that missed the poll if it's something that takes very little time. If that doesn't happen this time around it's a pretty good bet that the yellow items from the discussion will probably make it into the next poll when that happens.

Clear logos are as follows : Beat em up, Shoot em up, Shooters, Puzzle, Vs fighters, Sports, Run and Gun, Platformers, Light Gun, .....they all have a silver ring which ive given a retro look This is my first upload so hope you all enjoy....just hoping someone will now create the playlist videos to match ...big thanks to the original creators of the Jukebox/Arcade and Light gun icons

Hey guys, missed the stream due to work. I understand the polls are closed but if Jason is still reading.., I'd like to see the ability to use specific sound packs for specific platforms. I thought I saw this on the previous poll but I dont remember if it was implemented. If so, my bad lol.

I'm currently trying to wrap up the version 4.0 release, with a target release of August. Here is the current list of new features, changes, etc... The following is a list of changes, from an over view perspective, that have been made to the version 4.0 release (so far). New changes will continually be added to this list. • All 5 volumes have been combined into a single project. • MT-32 \ SC-55 Project – Added support for 797 MT32 games, 501 Gen. Midi/Sound Canvas games. • Nuked OPL3 – Added support for 22 OPL3 games to use the Nuked OPL emulator • Gravis Ultrasound - Enabled in 249 games • CMS, GameBlaster, Covox, Sound Source, and Innovation sound options added to a handful of games each (those that support them). • Enhanced Tandy check – 80 games with enabled Tandy 3 Voice sound. This includes enhanced Tandy versions enabled over their IBM versions. • PC Speaker Upgrade check – All games from 1988-1992 checked for optimal quality sound. Dozens of games previously set to PC Speaker have been upgraded to adlib \ sound blaster. • CD \ Rip Replacement – All games marked as CD at moby games checked against eXoDOS. Rips were removed in lieu of clean CD images. • Composite Video – PC Jr and CGA games upgraded to DosBOX ECE in order to take advantage of its advanced composite modes. • CD Audio check – All games marked with CD-Audio (from multiple sources) were checked. This led to clean CD images and changed settings which have enabled CD Audio in dozens of games that previously were not using them. • RPG Save Game Transfer Support – All known games that support the importing of save games from previous games have had scripts added to them to allow you to move all supported save games around to games which support them. This is all built into the games standard launcher, so it works with any front end that uses my launch files. • ScummVM Updated – All DOS games ScummVM currently supports have had ScummVM launch options added. The full screen prompt during install now changes this setting for both DosBOX and ScummVM. • 3DFX Update – All 3DFX games were checked and upgraded to DosBOX ECE, along with replaced glide drivers. This removes prior issues that forced full screen, caused flickering, and other issues with frame rates. • Pixel Perfect patch support - An alternate launch file for each game now exists in the extras folder. This will launch the game with ECE and enable pixel perfect output. This is the most accurate, per pixel, representation of the original game image. Some games will not run properly in ECE, which is why this was built as an optional launch and not rolled into the main launch. This patch also upgrades the emulation of the PC speaker and uses the Nuked OPL emulator for all midi. • Missing Manuals project – Multiple users have trolled the computer museum, archive.org, old-games.ru, and other sites to find as many of the missing manuals as possible. To date, over 1,000 have been added, including multiple “extras”, such as maps, reference cards, etc… • Linux Support project – v4 will include scripts that allow the pack to be run on linux • Major bug squashing initiative led by @Python – Unfortunately we don’t have a count of how many bugs have been squashed, but typically I address between 10-30 a day, and have been at that pace since last fall. • Old-Games.ru / TDC acquisition projects: @Smiling Spectre compiled spreadsheets of all DOS games listed at old-games.ru and in TDC15/16 that are not currently in eXoDOS, and then subdivided into English vs Foreign. These lists contain thousands of games. Nearly all old-games.ru entries have been added to date, and the TDC list provides a road map going forward. • Application of the NewRisingSun patches, which fix timer, sound, and other issues in many Sierra games. This includes the addition of “ultimate versions” of games such as King’s Quest 4, Space Quest 3, Monkey Island, etc… These ultimate versions are in addition to standard versions. Explanations in what each version adds are in the launch menu. • Patches and enhancements for dozens of games such as Elder Scrolls, Ultima, and the like have been added. • retropie support via @Jemy Murphy 's dos game installer, including standardized joystick to keyboard mapping for most action, racing, and shooter games.
