This was a fun project that took far longer than it should have. Kind of hard balancing hobbies now with an 8month old! Built this for a friend after he really liked my 2-player cabinet at home. I said if we are building another one, let’s make it 4-player! This project featured a lot of firsts for me. My first cabinet featured an X-Arcade for the joysticks and had just some ordinary plexiglass covering the monitor, two things I definitely didn’t want to do again. So, I fabricated a box covering the 32” TV inside of it and did some router work on it to make it look halfway decent. Made several mistakes along the way, plenty of things I would change, but overall he was happy with it and so was I. Systems in LaunchBox: arcade, nes, snes, Nintendo 64, gb, gbc, gba, PlayStation, masterdrive, genesis, sega cd, 32x, game gear, and Dreamcast. All console and handheld games controlled with Xbox controllers attached to the sides, all arcade games controlled with arcade panel.

Full Dedicated Neo Geo Marquees Description There where quite a few full size dedicated marquees made for Neo Geo aside from the mini-marquee layouts, there where even some dedicated cabinets as well like Samurai Shodown II, The Irritating Maze and SNK vs Capcom Chaos. I wasn't able to restore all the full size Neo Geo marquees out there, the ones I couldn't are included in a folder as well. Features Full size Marquees for 25 Neo Geo games Made from the highest quality artwork available I could find Cleaned up and color corrected artwork Including restored/remade/revived artwork Exclusive Day mode / Night Mode (unlit/lit) for every marquee Almost all marquees are Ultra HD Resolution; 3840 pixels wide, some are not All are named with 03 and 04 at the end of the rom name so you can use these with my other neo geo marquees. Credits to those that made high quality scans, logo's or other artwork that I found and used to reconstruct the marquees, I don't take full credits of this project thereof. ------------------------------------------------- See the making of of this project: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/44355-coming-soon-neo-geo-marquees-v20/ Other Neo Geo Marquee work: Neo Geo custom Dual layout Neo Geo Mini-Marquee layout 🤘

    # WHAT IS IT ? A complete new series of platform video for our frontend, made with love form France. Colorful is a modern and elegant way to present each platform, with its hardware of the time. With maximum accuracy and future proof. (4K video) I hope you like it ! 😙 # I NEED YOUR HELP : PATREON ? I will make a first batch of 65 systems, according to my personal use. But we are far from covering any game system! If the community doesnt take over the creation, 2 choices: the project stops /or/ I finish it. Problem, creating these videos takes a loooooot of time. And I have to deal with a full-time CGI artist job and 2 young kids. So I opened a Patreon page that could allow me to dedicate days on my work time to continue creating video. I'm not trying to get rich, but like everyone else, I cant spend 1 day/week working for free! I hope you understand. If the project interests you: Here is my Patreon page. # IN DETAIL ? Obviously, Colorful is a direct legacy of my previous video set "Nostalgia". But improved on all aspects: Centred design with colorful background, according to the platform. (theme/logo/box/design) 4K video (3840x2160px) @ 30fps (MP4 H264 AAC) Only available in 16:9, but design compatible with 4:3 All designs are completly rebuilt. More care of details. More TV variety and better accuracy. Arcade cabinet fully made in CGI, by myself. More variety and better accuracy. Added characteristic effect on CRT TV. Added platform boot screen. (if existing) All sources will be available. (Community effort!) # ABOUT CODEC FORMAT ? Initially, I was thinking of working in H265, more modern for 4K. But after talking with Jason, this is problematic on some old configuration and with Windows Media Player, which does not support it. So, I will leave you the choice! There will be 3 formats. But to simplify maintenance, there will only be one available here. (The recommended one) Others will be available for download on EmuMovies FTP. 4K | 3840x2160 | mp4 h264 AAC recommended 4K | 3840x2160 | mp4 h265 AAC HD | 1920x1080 | mp4 h264 AAC (for small resolution screen) # A PREVIEW OF ALL THIS ? Instagram Youtube Twitter # A COMMUNITY EFFORT ? Yes, all sources will be available on a dedicated page. (soon) Everyone can create their own videos that will be included here, in this set. Some rules to follow: - Advertise on this thread which platform you want to achieve. - Post the work in progress on the same thread, for exchange/feedback. - Post the final video + sources on the same thread or by MP. To avoid scattering and centralize everything here. - I will moderate the general quality of your proposals for a coherent result. So, I acting like a modertor on this thread. Do you want to participate? Cool !! I post soon a guideline tutorial ! # OK, HOW TO DOWNLOAD ? 3 ways : One by one - right here, with the download button at the top right. Automatically - in LaunchBox > Option > Platform Video Downloader Tools > Select "Colorful 4K" By batch - On the Emumovies FTP ://Upload Here/_Video Snap Submissions/COLORFUL Platform Video Set/ # SPECIAL THANKS : @Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! @cleverestI have an 8 bay Synology with 2-drive parity disks (64TB usable). For large disks, it takes a long time to rebuild (~48 hours for 10TB depending on usage of system concurrently). So at least for RAID 5, large number of bays, if you have another drive crump while the disk is rebuilding, then unhappiness. Rebuilding puts a lot of stress on rest of disks so if something is wonky, likely that will happen then. Unlike UnRaid won't be able to easily recover data off the others if parity disk(s) and another fail. When had a 4-bay ReadyNas only ever used 1 disk parity since sucks up too much space otherwise. Have used WD Red Drives and now using Seagate IronWolf drives since the delta in pricing between two started getting a bit much. Have had some 5 plus year old Reds start throwing errors but never outright failed before replaced them. Never had any issues with Synology but they are fairly "proud" price wise of their systems. It runs 24/7 with Docker apps doing various things along with data serving. Definitely UnRaid gets a bigger bang for buck and flexibility/features whereas you pay for Synology to make more appliance like (plug and go). In the end, don't depend entirely on RAID. Backup key items (Nice CloudSync feature in Synology apps for example). I have never (knock on wood) had a catastrophic drive set failure but Murphy is always waiting to slap us upside the head!

Mr. RetroLust's Neo Geo Dual Layout Marquees (complete) Pack 1 & 2 + Bonus Marquees, the full dedicated marquees will be released separately in the future. All these marquees have been uploaded to the launchbox database as well. Description I made these Marquees exclusively for the LaunchBox community as appreciation for the awesome work, software and everyone that contributes to this amazing community. I find the official single 'mini-marquee' system a bit boring with just one small mini-marquee on a huge red plate and as the games came with more instruction flyers and artwork I got inspired by the dual-marquee layout to use the second placeholder for more artwork, for some games I couldn't find extra flyer material so I used artwork from back-covers and such to fill up the second placeholder. Now it feels a bit more colorful. Features Marquees for 156 NEO GEO games Made from the highest quality artwork available I could find Cleaned up and color corrected artwork Custom translations from Japanese to English where needed and when possible Including restored/remade/revived artwork Exclusive Day mode / Night Mode (unlit/lit) for every marquee Optimized for 21:9 aspect ratio for full screen ultra-wide marquee monitors All marquees are Ultra HD Resolution; 3840 pixels wide See this thread for more details, kinda like 'the making of' lol: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/44355-coming-soon-neo-geo-marquees-v20/ List of games covered (not completely in alphabetical order): 3 Count Bout (Fire Suplex) Super Baseball 2020 (2020 Super Baseball) Aggressors of Dark Kombat (Tsukai GANGAN Koshinkyoku) Alpha Mission II (ASO II: Last Guardian) Andro Dunos Art of Fighting (Ryuko no Ken) Art of Fighting 2 (Ryuko no Ken 2) Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior (ART OF FIGHTING: Ryuko no Ken - Gaiden) Bang Bead (Bang Beads) Baseball Stars Professional Baseball Stars 2 Battle Flip Shot (Flip Shot) Blazing Star Blue's Journey (Raguy) Breakers Breakers Revenge Burning Fight Captain Tomaday Crossed Swords Crossed Swords II Cyber-Lip Double Dragon (Double Dragon 6-1) Eight Man (8 Man) Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash (Tengai Makyo: Shinden) Fatal Fury: King of Fighters (Garo Densetsu: Shukumei no Tatakai) Fatal Fury 2 (Garo Densetsu 2: Aratanaru Tatakai) Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory (Garo Densetsu 3: Harukanaru Tatakai) Fatal Fury Special (Garo Densetsu Special) Fight Fever (Wang Jung Wang) Football Frenzy Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors Ganryu (Musashi Ganryuki) Garou: Mark of the Wolves Ghostlop Ghost Pilots Goal! Just thought I would give people a little tutorial here on how to use "mklink" to create a Symbolic Link for the Launchbox Cache. Some people say it improves performance (I certainly noticed it) and some say they don't notice much of a difference, I guess it depends on your set up. This method worked for me very well when I moved the Cache to my SSD, I found that I could now use images set to there highest quality without any impact on performance and the images look great on a 4k TV. So here is what worked for me: 1. First download and install LINK SHELL EXTENSION found here http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html (be sure to install the dependency's first)You should now have the option when you right click on a file to "Pick Link Source". 2. On your SSD where you want your CACHE to be located create a folder called "CACHE" (I find that creating a Folder named something like "Launchbox Cache" and then placing the new Cache folder inside it works best). 3. Go to your Launchbox folder and find the original CACHE folder in the IMAGES folder and copy everything in the CACHE folder to your new CACHE folder on your SSD. (this may take a while, alternatively you could just delete everything in the original cache folder if you wish but you will have to repopulate it later after the folder is linked, not a big deal really I just leave launchbox in "attract mode" so the Cache gets filled up). 4. Once you have copied everything (or deleted everything) from the original CACHE folder also delete the actual ORIGINAL CACHE folder itself as well (this part is important). 5. now go to your SSD and right click your new CACHE folder (or the folder it's in) you created earlier and select "Pick Link Source" 6. now go to your IMAGES folder in launchbox right click it and select "Drop as Junction" This will automatically create a new CACHE folder (where you deleted the original) INSIDE the IMAGES folder with a little chain icon attached to it indicating that it is now linked to your SSD CACHE folder! That's it simple but took me a while to get my head around so I just thought I would post this. A way to test if this is working correctly is to do the same with your platform videos folder, if after following the instructions above your videos display properly, everything is working fine! or of course you could just watch the space left on your SSD as the cache fills up.

This is a collection of Sega Naomi 3D boxes with Discs. As the Naomi library has a lot of different versions of the same game and flyers are not available for a lot of games, and certainly not for all the different versions, I decided on one box and disc per game. These 3D boxes are loosely based around what a real Naomi game box looks like with real discs. I figured manuals could be used as box art. This is a ScummVM discs pack that goes along very nicely with Klopjero's 3D boxes REDUX set. Bear in mind that even though they have LaunchBox nomenclature for their naming, a lot of these files could not match the ones in your set, as ScummVM has different naming conventions. I am adding in here a clear disc (named #Base.png) for anybody to add any clear logos they want. Enjoy! Example: In action:

As some of you may know Dolphin is now like RA using the QT based frontend, and this doesn't currently work with RocketLauncher untill now. And with the QT Frontend very nearly feature complete they will stop work on the WX based exe (DolphinWX.exe). Unpack this module to your RocketLauncher Modules folder. You have 2 options with this module, 1. Use the QT Based Frontend all the time, with a method to use the old WX based Dolphin or Ishiiruka's, 2. Use WX solely until such time you wish to swap to the QT branch (if you use this method then you emulator must be the DolphinWX.exe or Ishiiruka's Dolphin.exe Fire up RL, go to your Emulators and set you GameCube/Wii/WiiWare emulator to the Dolphin.exe (All new versions of Dolphin have the Dolphin.exe as the QT version), and change the Module to the new Dolphin QT Based you just added. Now select your GameCube/Wii/WiiWare on the left side, and then go to Modules Tab highlight the Dolphin QT Beta and hit the Edit Global Settings button. If you are using the WX version as your main exe then on the settings page you MUST set 'Enable_WX_Mode' to True, leave this at default if using the new normal Dolphin.exe If you want to use say Ishiiruka or even an older version of dolphin, you can set this via a Game Only basis. Go to the Module and edit it again, and go to the Rom Settings tab, here you need to do 3 things. 1. Hit the Red+ and select the game you wish to use a different emulator version for. 2. Set the 'EnableLegacy' to True. 3. Set the LegacyExePath, select the exe you wish to use for this game (Note must be a WX Based exe, Ishiiruka's at the current time is only WX). While this seems a lot, it allows you to have a bit of control to what dolphin you want to use, and allows usage of the new QT version. If you get any problems with this, or find a bug, please do not hesitate to leave a message, and try to include as much information as you can on what/how its doing. Dolphin QT Beta v1.0.4.7z
