This is my first BigBox theme made entirely with @y2guru's fantastic, Community theme creator. I called it Memories of Yesterday (I suck with cool theme names). Many Thanks to @viking, for the Silver Ring Clear Logo set. @Mr.RetroLust (I cant seem to tag you for some reason) for the Marquee Screen Filler Magic, that I used on my arcade cabinet view. @nosh for the device images that I borrowed from the "Nosh on this Twice" Theme and Everyone else on the forums for all the code snippets, that helped me make this theme.! The theme is for 1920x1080 resolutions. If you have any issues, I would love8 points -

Massive thanks goes to @y2guru for the COMMUNITY Theme Creator for BigBox. Also thanks to @Grila for some of the code snippets I've used. _____________________________ INTRODUCTION I know there's been arcade machine based themes before, The reason I wanted to make this one was firstly to try out some of the new features that were added to the theme editor, and secondly I've always wanted to see the side of the cabinet with the artwork. There is a known issue with the theme and for that reason it's best used at 16:9 aspect ratio. _____________________________ INSTALLATION Dow2 points -

Thanks @TheNewClassics. Everything should work now but please don't hesitate to let me know if any other problems arise. New Version 1.1 Please update to the new version. The Community Theme Creator for BigBox is still in development and should be treated as an Alpha build, however it has enough features in place that would allow you to start building your own Themes. (Please see Pyramids by @Rincewind) As I have no documentation at this point, please visit my YouTube Channel as I demonstrate some of the various features. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCALHDoR8oQifl6sbIrdrW6w Installation 1. Note: using these requires LaunchBox 9.10 beta 1, or above. The files in the attached archive are the start of my effort to create 'default' images for most of my installed platforms. Copy the archive to your <launchbox install directory>\Images\Platforms directory and extract there. Start Launchbox, select your matching platform names, then refresh all images. Any missing media in your same image categories as mine should now show up (you may have to rename some of the extracted directories if they don't match the platform names in LaunchBox). I modeled most of these on graphic typ1 point -

I love the systematic theme for Retroarch, but since I use LaunchBox, I rarely get to see it. So I converted a bunch of it to .ico pack for all of my rom folders. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I couldn't find a more appropriate area. The icons are multi size, from 16x16 up to 256x256, so they should look good at any size. Not every systematic icon is converted, but pretty much any commonly used platforms should be represented. Enjoy!1 point -

I'll put the bezel i've made on here as well in case anyone needs it, it's not 100% accurate but it's something for this obscure system.1 point

To be honest, the PC game videos at emumovies are really old. You better off recording your own with something like Fraps. The free version only records 30 seconds but that's all you need. Emumovies are only 30 seconds long anyway.1 point

This works perfectly. Thank you so much! You just have to avoid pressing escape when the ui is active, because that will bring up the mame system GUI and I don't know how to retrun to the game once I see that. Now I just need to know the command line for a custom retroarch config so I can use the latest mame core with apple2.1 point

emumovies sync, its a program for premium emumovies subscribers to scrape artwork/videos for there games outside of doing it directly in the Launchbox UI.1 point

Its not possible to launch it on a second screen as far as i know. You can however use the Pause menu to open the manual and navigate it with a controller or keyboard while in game. Desktop 2019.11.17 - 13.57.36.01.mp41 point

Really nice! I particularly like how the arcade cabinet uses the box art for a skin. Makes every cabinet look legitimate! I've seen something similar in the theme CoinOP, which is the marquee changing using the arcade marquee image (not sure if you're looking for suggestions/ideas, but it was something that came to mind).1 point

Awesome work. Regarding the shader files, It has been a while that I wanted to ask about it. I am not an expert but, based on the file, it seems that you don't distort (or tilt) the screen to create the effect of a CRT monitor curvature, right? Any advice regarding distortions? I think for arcades I use some shader call CRT (CRT-Royale, maybe).1 point

1945k III arcade mame bezel, a bit of a boring bezel but I couldn't find any instruction stickers or anything, but it's a bezel, every Mame game should need one. 1945kiii.zip1 point

Beta 4 is out now with the following: Improvement: LaunchBox and Big Box now use improved processes for media downloads (threaded downloads). This should signficantly speed up downloads from the LaunchBox Games Database, especially. Improvement: In Big Box you can now individually hide view types while locked instead of all or none New "Games Missing Media" filters now have items for videos and manuals as well Fixed: "Scan for Removed ROMs" now removes additional apps that are missing as well Planning for this to be the last beta release with new stuff before th1 point

This is a good point. I kind of wish we could just remove adult games from the database completely, but I know that's probably too much to ask. I agree that we should at least have a flag of some kind. On my list. It's worth noting, however, that images like that are not allowed in the database, and should never have been approved.1 point

I have a suggestion to add a new art folder on lauchbox/bigbox, is the "Inlay Art". Inlay Art is the art they come inside of some Jewel Case Games, some arts are beautiful. Look the Inside Art of the PSX Final Fantasy VIII (USA), the first image is the inlay art left and the second is the inlay art right.1 point

If you want a pure fully-customizable database i would suggest to check Filemaker. I use it to keep track of my boardgame collection and it is easy to use with plenty of features (cross linked databases, full record customization, scripting, e.t.c)1 point
