  2. Trying to keep the plugin updated to work with all of these various launchers and their unique problems (especially when most of them are going out of their way to make 3rd party overlays not function with their launcher/games) is honestly something that I am probably just not going to be able to keep up with. In nearly all instances, there are workarounds and solutions you can implement if YOU decide that it is worth investing the time and effort to learn what these are and how to apply them. However, given that I have spent many, many hundreds of hours developing this plugin by myself, in my free time, without so much as asking for a single donation, I hope you will forgive me when I admit that I'm probably just not up to investing the extra effort into keeping up with unique intricacies of each publisher's launcher and battling against their constant efforts to keep 3rd party overlays from working. I may make exceptions to this in some instances but it will probably require some help and effort on your part as well. Instead of just saying that "so and so" launcher doesn't work, you might 1st check if manually adding a non-Steam shortcut to Steam with one of their games works in the 1st place. If it does, then perhaps it is an issue that I might be able to look into and fix. If it doesn't, then this is likely not something I am going to be able to implement at the end of the day, as all this plugin does is to create a temporary non-Steam shortcut in a way that is convenient and transparent to the user. Any additional information, debug logs, or notes you are able to provide me can go a long way in getting a problem fixed. It makes me very happy to be able to share the efforts of all my work with all of you but at the end of the day, if you really want an issue that is important to you fixed, putting in just a little time yourself to investigate the issue and provide me with a little bit of background may be the difference between the problem remaining in limbo and the problem getting fixed. With all of that being said, perhaps you might be willing to look into whether or not Origin games in general work with the Steam overlay? If not, probably the only solution is going to be something such as GlosC as others have mentioned in reference to UWP/Window Store games. Sorry if my response was a little more direct than usual but I have been very busy and stressed out with work stuff lately and I just haven't had nearly as much time to dedicate to the plugin as I would like. The point of my response was just to indicate that any help I could get from any of you that would make it quicker/easier for me to fix issues (that are fixable) would really go a long ways. Let me know what you find out in regards to Origin games and the Steam overlay and I will try to look into it if I can.

Hello everyone, There are a few other Dreamcast sets that do exist out there however the difference here is the resolution is much higher and the set is uniform. This set will be part of a uniform series with other platforms to come that use the same exact jewel case style template along with same size dimensions and high resolution artwork. This set like all of my sets includes a uniform "Dreamcast" banner (both white and black spine games) when scrolling through your games for nice uniformity. This is all 247 released NTSC Dreamcast games following the no-intro naming scheme. When dropping these in your Launchbox build there may be a few boxes that do not autoload due to the name differences between how Launchbox scrapes the games and what no-intro names them. Therefore you may have to manually update a few images to your liking or use an alternate name within Launchbox itself. Also contained within this set is a second folder with an additional game that received an alternate cover! This should cover everything but as always if anyone notices any errors please let me know. Enjoy!

  4. That's where, in DS4Windows, the setting "Hide DS4 Controller" is for. It hides the original DS4 controller for Windows and games/emulators so only the virtual Xbox 360 controller is seen. This prevents "double presses".

  5. After reading what I just wrote, I realize that's probably not appealing to most people, haha.

  7. This view is edited in the OptionsPage.Xaml. Example shown of the color changed. The others I have never messed with and I have not seen any spot to edit those so it may be something under the hood in BigBox code. So will have to wait for our devs on those.

  8. The community theme creator wouldn't of worked anyway, you can only import themes to it that were made with it, the default obviously wasn't. I think i might be right in saying that the things you are trying to edit are not editable as they are fundamental to the program, but i may be wrong. I'll tag @Jason Carr and @C-Beats here to see if they can confirm or shine a light on what the issue is.

  9. For those waiting for access to Desert island Fruits, when you have registered and are awaiting acceptance for downloads, go to the Intro forum as requested an post a nice intro about yourself, not just a "Hi". The admins and others will soon come and approve you. Took me literally 12 hours from initial signup. As others have said its always good to get registered in case theres any issues with your setup - the guys over there are super friendly.

  10. Hello again Sir, Yes, I know about the Community Theme Creator for BigBox. I watched a video for Mr. faeran (an amazing themes creator here!) using it to create an incredible theme. It was a live stream and it was amazing! I tried it, didn't figure it out. It's beyond my basic and humble skills currently. Still, thank you so much for trying to help me in any way possible. Maybe someone will guide me to solve this final issue I have to finalise the theme. I still have hope. Oh, Also, Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm trying my best to enhance my English ? Best Regards!

  11. LaunchBox actually stores the whole database metadata content on your PC in XML format. You’ll find it in your LaunchBox folder under “\Metadata\Metadata.xml” I can personally verify that you can just take the file and import it into Microsoft Excel with the XML data import tool in the "Data" tab. If you’re familiar with Excel it’s really easy to filter for all the data fields like you wish. Besides Excel there are possibly a lot of other tools out there that allow you to easily access and filter XML data but i have no experience with that. Unfortunately, I’ll also have to tell you that the LaunchBox database does not provide any kind of ROM info, so you’ll have to work with solely the game titles. There’s no way to convert the LB data into a DAT file for ROM managers as there’s no useful data for that kind of thing, like files hashes, to begin with.

  12. I am not doubting your ability to edit .xaml files. But when it comes to editing .xml files for LaunchBox/BigBox you really have to know what your are looking for. Some things even may be hard coded into the Default theme. As an alternative maybe you can try the Community Theme Creator for BigBox? Although I haven't tried it myself, maybe you can load the copy of the Default theme and alter the colors? You English is very well! But, as I am also not a native English speaker myself, any errors would cancel out and it becomes perfect again.

  13. To work off that image provided and to make a presentable image is amazing. I havent been able to find quality scans online since this was a prototype. But thank you, this is perfect for frontend use

  15. in BigBox, maybe you are using a hotkey to bring up the pause menu that interferes with Mame? Or in LaunchBox > Tools > Manage Emulators > Mame > Pause Screen tab, you could try ticking/unticking "Suspend Emulator Process While Paused" and "Forceful Pause Screen Activation". (I have them both ticked for the Pause Menu to work correctly with Mame.)

  16. Maybe a good place to start would be the LaunchBox audit function? In LaunchBox go to your Atari 2600 platform > Tools > Audit Atari 2600. You can sort on any field you like.

  18. Popping in to say I just ran into these visual glitches and this thread was a godsend. I had uninstalled Sonic Suite 3 for being an awful memory leaking POS (Seriously how do audio drivers use 30 gigs of ram?!?) but it turns out this service was lurking and causing my beautiful launchbox to have its mouseover effects corrupted. I had no idea Nahimic service was lurking in the background being awful.

  20. Rename iso's to parent folder name. I am not very good with batch files. But I made a little script with AutoHotKey that renames iso's to the parent folder name. If you want to use it, copy the script to a newly created text file and rename it with an .ahk extension. From the LaunchBox\ThirdParty\AutoHotkey folder copy AutoHotkey.exe (together with the .ahk file you just created) to your root PlayStation 2 games folder. Rename AutoHotkey.exe and the script to whatever you like, as long as the names are the same. (so for example you have a script.ahk and a script.exe.) Start the script by double clicking the .exe. Note: The script assumes that ALL THE ISO'S are in their OWN FOLDERS and subfolders and only ONE ISO PER FOLDER. (No Iso's in the root Playstation 2 games folder either.) Please, if you have the space, back-up your iso's before renaming. SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% Loop, Files, %A_WorkingDir%\*.iso, R { NewFileName := RegExReplace(A_LoopFileDir, ".*\\","" ,0 , -1, 1) FileMove, %A_LoopFileFullPath%, %A_LoopFileDir%\%NewFileName%.%A_LoopFileExt% if ErrorLevel { MsgBox,4,Error,Could not rename: `n%A_LoopFileFullPath% `nDo you wish to continue? IfMsgBox No return } else continue } msgbox Done ExitApp The script will not rename multi-disc games with multiple iso's in the same folder. (It will not iterate on the folder name.) Instead it displays a message box with the location of the game and asks if you want to continue or not, so you can rename it manually. ("Yes" continues renaming the rest of the iso's. "No" exits the script.)

  21. I normally don't use the Neon BigBox theme, but I installed it to check. In your image where you circled "Missing?" it does not show images for me to. You can map buttons or keys to change views or images. But ultimately what images are shown is theme depended. Also in LaunchBox > Options > Media you can select and prioritize what kind of images you want in your image group.

  22. @ejz372 Those logos were from @RetroHumanoid set in the download section. I don't have the source PSD for any of those (bg, fonts, etc) so this is approximate to others.

  23. These are pretty cool. I am gonna use them for my platform category. However I want something like this but says MAME. Different color from all of these if that's okay. I am very close on completing my Launchbox. After I complete, I may stop bugging you guys lol. There's also 3 more that I want but I will write it on the next message so there's no confusion. TIA.

  24. Version 0.232

    138 downloads

NOTE: This does NOT interfere with the Leader boards at all. **This removes the nag screen that informs you if a rom doesn't work correctly, or if at all, if you use this no nag, then please do NOT go to the mame support site with issues with games, please only use if you understand that there will be no help from anyone at mamedev as you are using a modified version of mame. mame.exe - Normal Mame with Nags removed. For Version 0.232 (Note mame no longer carries the 64 in its exe name changed by Devs in 0.229) It's advisable to download the full 0.232 official pack and install it, then just overwrite the exe with the replacement, this covers any changes the mame devs may have made to the support files. After you have done this, make sure you copy the folders artwork, ctrlr, cheat, hlsl, ini, folders and the ini files from the root of your original mame folder, and move/copy them to the new install. make sure in the mame.ini file you have the following set. Skip_gameinfo 1

  28. Is there a way to auto-generate only if its a complete word, with parenthesis? Meaning, I want to create a 007 playlist, however, if I create a filter for "Title" and "007" it shows me tons of options such as MLB 2007, NFL 2007, etc. Also, if I want to show Mario only and not Super Mario, you would think to add (2) title criteria, but this doesn't work as intended. Title - Contains - Mario Title - Does not equal - Super The setup above, will output every title without Super and does not account for the first title option "Mario"
