    # WHAT IS IT ? COLORFUL is a complete and coherent high quality graphic set, around a unique design. Made with love in France. I hope you like it ! 😘 Here are planned development axes: COLORFUL Theme : The main hub, a unique interface for BigBox. COLORFUL Platform Video : Complete 4K video set, with a unique design. COLORFUL Source : To involve the community in the platform video creation. (new) COLORFUL BigBox Startup Video : (soon) COLORFUL Startup Theme : (soon) COLORFUL Pause Theme : (soon) # HERE IS COLORFUL PLATFORM VIDEO SET: On this page we are talking about COLORFUL Platform Video Set: A complete new series of platform video for our frontend! Colorful is a modern and elegant way to present each platform, with its hardware of the time. With maximum accuracy and future proof. (4K video) # I NEED YOUR HELP : PATREON ? I will make a first batch of 65 systems, according to my personal use. But we are far from covering any game system! If the community doesnt take over the creation, 2 choices: the project stops /or/ I finish it. Problem, creating these videos takes a loooooot of time. And I have to deal with a full-time CGI artist job and 2 young kids. So I opened a Patreon page that could allow me to dedicate days on my work time to continue creating video. I'm not trying to get rich, but like everyone else, I cant spend 1 day/week working for free! I hope you understand. If the project interests you: Here is my Patreon page. # IN DETAIL ? Obviously, Colorful is a direct legacy of my previous video set "Nostalgia". But improved on all aspects: Centred design with colorful background, according to the platform. (theme/logo/box/design) 4K video (3840x2160px) @ 30fps (MP4 H264 AAC) HD video (1920x1080px) @ 30fps (MP4 H264 AAC) Only available in 16:9, but design compatible with 4:3 crop. All designs are completly rebuilt. More care of details. More TV variety and better accuracy. Arcade cabinet fully made in CGI, by myself. More variety and better accuracy. Added characteristic effect on CRT TV. Added platform boot screen. (if existing) All sources will be available soon. (Community effort!) # ABOUT CODEC FORMAT ? Initially, I was thinking of working in H265, more modern for 4K. But after talking with Jason, this is problematic on some old configuration and with Windows Media Player, which doesn't support it. So, I will leave you the choice! 4K | 3840x2160 | mp4 h264 AAC 4K | 3840x2160 | mp4 h265 AAC (only on EmuMovies FTP) HD | 1920x1080 | mp4 h264 AAC - On this download page = Only 4K - h264 - On Download theme videos tools = both, 4K + HD version - On EmuMovies FTP = The 3 versions! # A PREVIEW OF ALL THIS ? Instagram Youtube # A COMMUNITY EFFORT ? Yes, all sources will be available on a dedicated page. (soon) Everyone can create their own videos that will be included here, in this set. Some rules to follow: - Advertise on this thread which platform you want to achieve. - Post the work in progress on the same thread, for exchange/feedback. - Post the final video + sources on the same thread or by MP. To avoid scattering and centralize everything here. - I will moderate the general quality of your proposals for a coherent result. So, I acting like a modertor on this thread. Do you want to participate? Cool !! I post soon a guideline tutorial ! # OK, HOW TO DOWNLOAD ? 3 ways : One by one - right here, with the download button at the top right. Automatically - in LaunchBox > Tools > Download theme videos tools > Select "Colorful 4K" or "Colorful HD" By batch - On the Emumovies FTP ://Upload Here/_Video Snap Submissions/COLORFUL Platform Video Set/ # SPECIAL THANKS : @Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! Note: using these requires LaunchBox 9.10 beta 1, or above. The files in the attached archive are the start of my effort to create 'default' images for most of my installed platforms. Copy the archive to your <launchbox install directory>\Images\Platforms directory and extract there. Start Launchbox, select your matching platform names, then refresh all images. Any missing media in your same image categories as mine should now show up (you may have to rename some of the extracted directories if they don't match the platform names in LaunchBox). I modeled most of these on graphic types from EmuMovie assets. Please feel free to make requests, or post your own default images. The archive has files for the following platforms: 3D Nintendo Entertainment System Acorn BBC Micro Acorn Electron Amstrad CPC Amstrad GX4000 Apogee BK-01 Arcade Atari 800 Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari 7800 Homebrew Atari Jaguar Atari Jaguar CD Atari Lynx Atari ST Bally Astrocade Bandai Sufami Turbo Bandai Super Vision 8000 Camputers Lynx ColecoVision Commodore 64 Commodore 128 Commodore Amiga Commodore Amiga CD32 Commodore CDTV Commodore MAX Machine Commodore Pet Commodore Plus 4 Commodore VIC-20 Dendy Dragon 32 Dragon 64 Emerson Arcadia 2001 Entex Adventure Vision Epoch Super Cassette Vision Fairchild Channel F GCE Vectrex Magnavox Odyssey 2 Mattel Intellivision Microsoft MSX Microsoft MSX2 Microsoft XBOX Microsoft XBOX 360 MUGEN NEC PC-8801 NEC PC-9801 NEC PC-FX NEC PC Engine NEC SuperGrafx NEC TurboGrafx-16 NEC TurboGrafx-CD Nintendo 3DS Nintendo 64 Nintendo 64 (Japan) Nintendo 64DD Nintendo DS Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Famicom Nintendo Game Boy Nintendo Game Boy Advance Nintendo Game Boy Color Nintendo GameCube Nintendo MSU-1 Nintendo Satellaview Nintendo Switch Nintendo Virtual Boy Nintendo Wii Nintendo Wii U Nintendo WiiWare Panasonic 3DO Philips CD-I Philips Videopac G7000 Philips Videopac Plus G7400 PopCap RCA Studio II Sega 32X Sega CD Sega CD 32X Sega Dreamcast Sega Game Gear Sega Genesis Sega Master System Sega Mega-CD Sega Mega Drive Sega Saturn Sega SG-1000 Sharp MZ-2500 Sharp X68000 Sinclair ZX-81 Sinclair ZX Spectrum SNK Neo Geo AES SNK Neo Geo CD SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Sony Playstation 3 Sony Playstation Vita Sony PSP Sony PSP Minis SpectraVideo Super Nintendo Entertainment System Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Pal) Tandy TRS-80 Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer Windows WonderSwan WonderSwan Color

    # BETA ? Yes, for now, it's preliminary version. I have a lot of ideas, new view and things to fix in the near future! (new) COLORFUL BigBox Startup Video : (soon) COLORFUL Startup Theme : (soon) COLORFUL Pause Theme : (soon) # HERE IS COLORFUL THEME FOR BIGBOX: On this page we are talking about COLORFUL Theme for BigBox: Design for work with my platform video set, COLORFUL THEME is thought to be used on the big screen (TV) in gaming console mode. Modern, elegant and animated are the key words of this interface. # I NEED YOUR HELP : PATREON ? Same problem as with my video set ! Creating videos & theme takes a loooooot of time. The main features : 16:9 only. (Works on other ratio, but with black bands) Full 4K asset. (Any resolution must work, 4K assets) Totally responsive. No resolution deformation on text size or placement. Because of the white/black background, some ClearLogo comes with the theme. Gamepad connection indicator & battery level. # RECOMMENDATION ? Any design choice gives limitations. Here are some recommendations for this theme : LaunchBox/BigBox v.10.0 (and up) VLC highly recommended. Design for work with COLORFUL platform video set. (but you can use any video you what) Beware of full white/black ClearLogo. They will be invisible on Light/Dark views! I didnt test this theme on a lowend configuration. There may be slowdown. (Curious to have your feedback on this subject!) # COOL, HOW TO DOWNLOAD ? 2 ways : In Windows : Right here, with the download button. Extract the "Colorful" folder and place it in your "LaunchBox/Themes" directory. (dont rename it!) In BigBox : Option > Theme manager > Found "COLORFUL - Light" or "COLORFUL - Dark". # SPECIAL THANKS ! @Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! Thx man! To all Patreon guys! The Community Theme Creator for BigBox is still in development and should be treated as an Alpha build, however it has enough features in place that would allow you to start building your own Themes. (Please see Pyramids by @Rincewind) As I have no documentation at this point, please visit my YouTube Channel as I demonstrate some of the various features. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCALHDoR8oQifl6sbIrdrW6w Installation 1. Download .zip file 2. Unblock (right click on the .zip file, select properties and click on Unblock) 3. Unzip where ever you like 4. Go to the unzipped folder and go to folder ".Install these fonts first to allow the demo theme to load correctly in the editor" 5. Install the 2 fonts (these are only needed for the included Theme) 6. Click on the "COMMUNITY Theme Creator for BigBox.exe" 7. Fill out the setup properties (userid / name and location of the BigBox.exe ) 8. Enjoy! FYI. If you wish to design a Theme in either 4:3 or 16:9 or any other aspect ratio then simply change your windows desktop settings to the desired resolution and open the editor.

Welcome to Faeran's BannerBox. A horizontal banner based theme, inspired by 80s retro. This theme relies heavily on custom banner images that were created using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator. Because of reliance of custom banner images this theme is a whopping 2 GB. Please make sure you have enough space on your drive. Also note that this theme requires you to be running at least version 10.15 of LaunchBox. Download this theme from the theme manager within Big Box. This base theme has banners for the following systems (Some System packs will be released separately): Download extra banner packs and install them into: LAUNCHBOX\Themes\BannerBox\Images\Games\Custom Images 1 Explaination of some files: BannerBox.zip - The same theme that can be downloaded from within Big Box's theme manager BannerBox - Base Theme - No Game Banners.zip - Same theme as above, but without any game banners. New Version 1.3 Added a visual playtime setter/editor New Version 1.2 Fixed another string error that would sometimes cause the playtime to not record. Thanks @TheNewClassics. Everything should work now but please don't hesitate to let me know if any other problems arise. New Version 1.1 Please update to the new version. I caught a string error that would prevent any playtime from going over 23 hours. The new version will keep all your game's previous playtime intact. Also, you can now reset a game's playtime in LB from the selected games right click menu (@Krakerman). Drop the .dll in your LaunchBox\Plugins directory and start tracking how long you play your games. The playtime is recorded as a custom field so it is visible in LaunchBox on the game details bar and in BigBox in the game details. See the screenshots for reference. Known Issues: Per the plugin API (http://pluginapi.launchbox-app.com/html/a40a286d-83c6-e179-940c-7e4166d567fe.htm) this may not function correctly with all platforms (ie. Steam) but I have tested it with RetroArch, Dolphin, and PCSX2 without problems.

This theme attempt to be minimal and modern and maximise screen estate. Note: this is a beta release and features may change in future releases. Installation Unzip into LaunchBox\LBThemes directory In LaunchBox go to: Options -> Visuals -> Theme: Lambda beta Windows 7/8 user: Microsoft's β€œSegoe MDL2 Assets” font ( SegMDL2.ttf ) is required for the buttons and icons to rendered properly. (If you have it it will work but it’s not included here because of licensing reasons.) Settings guide tl;dr: You may have to tweak your Boxes aspect ratio and spacing. The top Details image is only visible when Fanart is available. Button bar can't be hidden because of the licensing info. Font and colour settings have no effect (font is based on system font). Settings used in screenshots are: Options -> Visuals -> Boxes -> Spacing: Aspect Ratio: 0.6 * Horizontal Spacing: 2 Vertical Spacing: 2 Horizontal Padding: 8 Vertical Padding: 2 Text Spacing: 4 Text Lines to Show: 2 *) For horizontal box art you may need to use a higher value. Options -> Visuals -> Boxes: Align Text Vertically : enabled Align Text Horizontally : enabled Show Subline : enabled (for platform info) Other recommended settings: Options -> Legacy -> General -> Game Details: Show Fanart: enabled other options at your own preference Options -> Legacy -> Images -> Background Priorities : Fanart : enabled other options disabled Options -> Visuals -> Backgrounds: Background Blur Amount : 100 Background Fade Amount : 0 (Imo. the theme looks best when blurred background Fanart and Details Fanart are the same image.) Settings that don't have any effect: Button bar can't be hidden because the license has to stay visible. Colours are hard coded. Font (including size and scaling) is based on your Windows system settings. Thanks to Grila for allowing me to use his LBPlex theme code, Retro808, neil9000, C-Beats and Jason Carr for testing and everyone who supported this release on the forum. Vectrex 2D Front Cover Box Art - By Simon Quincey - hitt.man@ntlworld.com So i added all my Vectrex roms (113 at the time) to Launchbox, i let it do its "thing" and the artwork it downloaded was horrendous. Different sizes, wildly different qualities, some real, some custom and a whole load missing. Like 70% missing! Every rom needs an image, they should all be the same size and style too. I know, i'll make my own set using anything i can find online. 113 roms, how long can it take? If theres no artwork online i'll just use a screenshot from emulation. Every search for more images, lead me to more websites, more information and more roms. I joined a very cool Facebook group on 28th April, to learn more and find more artwork and there were plenty of helpful people there. There were also more roms... From the "Vectrex Fans Unite" Facebook group i would like to thank everyone for the encouragement and support. And particular thanks to these guys who provided much needed original artwork to complete this cover set. Graham Toal Chris Malcolm Jacek Selanski David Flemming Tony Holcomb Alan McClelland Manu Parssinen Steven Salter John Blythe If you helped me out and i missed your name here, sorry, but i do thank you. Also, from the Launchbox thread i started and did my daily progress updates to, i would like to thank... Lukeyboy67 Starbuck Dragon57 ...for the ongoing support. I started at 113 roms but ended up with 260! Seemed never ending but i've finally done it. So here in this pack are 260 unified images, all following the same design template, same resolution (1024x800) and (as much as possible) the same quality level. I have done the best i can with the online artwork i could find. I've used original box scans where possible, i've used other peoples custom box artwork at times, i've upscaled some, cleaned others, totally dumped and rebuilt others. I've used various emulators to capture screenshots and built totally new logos for some. Its been a lot of work and after about 6-7 weeks or so, i'm done... for now... Although this set of images was selfishly only going to be for myself to begin with, after sharing what i was doing it seemed there were others who were interested in using these. I was asked if i would share them, so thats what i'm doing. Of course, they are free to use, i don't own any of this. This set should now be uploaded to the Launchbox website/forum as a pack/zip and to my own GoogleDrive too. My GoogleDrive will also hold these as individual files and i'll have an area for new and updated files. The link to my GoogleDrive will be shared to both the Launchbox forum and Facebook group. Updates to this pack, error fixes, new covers, cover requests etc. may only be uploaded to my GoogleDrive. So if you have read all this waffle and you are using these images, please check there for new files. I will take requests for covers, if i've missed a rom and you still have artwork gaps after adding this set, just ask. I will fix any errors you spot too. All i ask is you request by email (top and bottom of this text), and if its for a rom i don't have, you send me that rom. I will update covers too if you have improved artwork, you just need to send me it. Comments, roms, requests, fixes, artwork etc. to... hitt.man@ntlworld.com Have fun. AllNightLong is trying to be a clean simple theme with little animation and stuff going around. Designed for 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3 screens. Supported Views: Platform Wheel 1 Platform Wheel 2 Text Filters View Text Games View Horizontal Wheel 1 Games View Horizontal Wheel 2 Games View Vertical Wheel 2 Games View Vertical Wheel 2 Games View Background color: Change the background image/color. (LaunchBox\Themes\AllNightLong\Media\Custom Assets\). The default background file name is "default-bg". So change the backgound file name to this and it will show up in the theme. There are now 5 alternatives or you can make your own also. The only limiting factor is the text color, which will always be white, so white or very light backgrounds will not work. Credits: Theme was created by @thimolor Theme was created using COMMUNITY Theme Creator by @y2guru Uses Google Fonts: Barlow and Barlow Condenced Designed by Jeremy Tribby. Platform Text Filters View Screenshot uses video made by @viking as a platform background. This theme uses some of the device images from EmulationStation theme Tronkyjared (https://github.com/cowboyjeeper/tronkyjared). Many device images and system logos are taken from Wikipedia. Support: Support will be slow, sorry for that. If you run into issues concerning the custom banner images, please refresh the images first. Also please check your LaunchBox image options for fallbacks. I could not test all the platforms so there could be file naming issues. Special Thanks: @bundangdon @Retro808 @proghodet @Tromzy I received crucial feedback from these fine gamers. Without them, the theme would be less refined.

NEON DELUXE ARCADE - FINAL ----------------------------------------------------- CREDITS Huge thanks goes out to @y2guru for his Community Theme Creator Software and his endless personal help, also he created the animated wheels for this theme! @Hexxxer for the original inspiration of his FutureState theme. @Rincewind for the inspiration on his use of the icons. Thanks guys! ----------------------------------------------------- INTRO This is the final version of Neon Arcade Deluxe, it's completely rebuild from the ground up. The old theme was slow, I couldn't even run it in 4K but with this rebuild it runs even smoothly in 4K. This theme looks the same in any DPI setting now but it's only for 16:9 views. _Neon Deluxe Arcade Final.mp4 ----------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION 1. Download the theme from Big Box's theme manager or download the zip file here and place the folder in Launchbox/Themes/ 2. You might need to unblock all the .DLL's in the plugin folder, I usually don't have to though. 3. I recommend doing the following to speed up Big Box greatly: - Uncheck all Background Images in launchbox/settings/image priorities - Set all transitions to "None" in BigBox settings - Use the Clean Up media tool in launchbox/tools/Clean Up Media... (this can really speed up lists with thousands of games and duplicate media) - Defrag the drive that holds your media files Hope you like and enjoy! 🀘 ----------------------------------------------------- LINKS Neon Deluxe Arcade is a series of themes and elements, if you like you can download these to accompany the complete theme, visit this page to see all my other work: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/profile/88501-mr-retrolust/content/?type=downloads_file The excellent start up video by @PaDeMoNiuM

Hey all, I have another set here to release. This took me far longer then I had hoped but I am happy with the result. After looking all over the internet there was no complete set for Game Boy Advance carts in a nice matching template... everything was poor quality and skewed images, etc. I took the task of making this set. I have 981 GBA games and this pack includes carts for all but two games that I simply cannot find images for anywhere. This is an NTSC only set. There are 983 files in the download (i think I had a few duplicates as I only made carts for 981 games minus the two missing for a total of 979, leaving 4 "extras" in this pack. If anyone finds those duplicates/extras let me know so I can remove them and re-upload. Also the two games I am missing artwork for are: Pocket Professor: KwikNotes Volume One Crash & Spyro Superpack_ Spyro Orange_ The Cortex Conspiracy + Crash Bandicoot Purple_ Ripto_s Rampage.png If anyone finds images for those two please contact me so I can get them added. Also, since I didn't get to verify my games against an "official" list it is possible I am missing some official NTSC games. If I am please also PM me the with what the game is and potentially a link. Looking online at various sources there are some discrepancies on a few releases and if they were NTSC or not. Anyways, enjoy everybody!

Hello all, here is my first contribution to this community. I have enjoyed so many countless hours of fun as a result of Launchbox and everyone here and I have always wanted to give back so here you go. I made this originally after being inspired by @Palada. He made a Beautiful startup theme to go with my new favorite BigBox theme by @viking, called Colorful. At first I just wanted to add more platforms but you know how it goes. I went a little crazy. Anyway I hope you all like and enjoy this theme. Versions: Simple-Detailed-Startup-ml.zip - This one Uses Platform Logos from a folder in this theme that were made by ME. Simple-Detailed-Startup-yl.zip - This one uses Platform Logos that were set up by YOU in Launchbox. I am using assets from both @Palada and @viking and of course all over this community. Please give credit to both for making this possible. Once i got going though I ended up with very little that I did not make on my own. I am not sure of the proper way to give credit, but if anyone has an issue with anything I have posted, let me know and I will take it down immediately. Colorful Theme by @viking (please consider patreon to help him with this amazing theme) Minimal Colorful Start by @Palada This was designed for a 1080p big screen TV. That is where my set up is and all my kids play on it. I tried this on my laptop and it all looked good but if you have any issues with layout or other please let me know. I will do my best to fix it. IMPORTANT: Please make sure your Launchbox image priorities are set or no images will appear and the theme will look boring. I recommend setting: Background Priorities to: Fanart-Background and Screenshot-Gameplay in that order Screenshot Priorities to : Screenshot-Gameplay and then what ever you want after that. What Is It? OK, this is a startup and shutdown theme that is unique for every platform. It includes a controller silhouette, game art game details on startup plus it has an animated GIF loading icon as well as a GIF closing icon. Every platform has its logo displayed. I had to make all of these so that they would fit. This means that some may be missing, but there is currently 77 platform logos and I plan to add more as time goes on. The controller silhouettes are also all custom and may be missing a few but it has 77 currently as well. (some are the same for multiple platforms) It also has a favorite icon in the bottom right corner that will be red if your game is Favorited. How to use it: This is my first upload, but you should be able to unzip it to your Launchbox Startup Themes Directory and Then select it from within BigBox. Please make sure that all of the *.xaml files in the root of this addon match EXACTLY to your platform names or they will not work. FIXED If you have any requests or problems please drop me a comment, I will do my best to stay on top of it. I hope I am not forgetting anything, Please enjoy and thank you all for the many years of fun. Keep on Gaming! PS: I have also made a Pause Theme to match and complete the whole setup. (this is a remake of PausePie by @faeran)

Here is my first theme. This theme was made almost entirely in @y2guru's theme creator tool that is my absolute favorite community addition. Very cool for people like me who love to design. Thank you for making this y2guru. My intention was to make a seamless theme that felt like a console but offered a very different feel than all the already existing and amazing themes found on this forum. I Hope you like it. Let me know if you need more logos but keep in mind i can only work on this once a week. Credits: Not sure where to start, I was mostly inspired by @viking and @Rincewind for their contributions and then i found the 'Community Theme Creator' made by @y2guru which changed everything. But most of all, credit should go to Launchbox itself and this entire community. I have used several things i found at this forum but most of this theme was made by me. If I have missed someone I am truly sorry and it was not intentional. Please let me know and I will of course edit this page. ALSO: @Wanderer189 has made a huge contribution to this theme in the form of several downloadable add-on packs full of clear logos for each platform. These include literally thousands of logos made for each Genre, Playmode, ETC. This is an amazing thing and I thank you for your hard work Wanderer. You are awesome. If you would like to get these logos for your setup they can be found here: What is this theme: This is a video snap based BigBox theme. Heavily designed around the use and display of video snaps. This theme has several views including one that offers a different look for each platform including handhelds. There is a large amount of custom graphics and logos and images and icons etc. Hence the large file size. Use the startup and pause themes to complete the seamless setup. All icons including stars for 'consumer ratings' and 'ESRB rating' are custom and included in the theme file. Use them all you want. I am using the nostalgia platform videos and these are perfect for this theme. I may make my own someday but for now these are Great. Available Downloads: Retro Console Theme.zip - This is the entire theme including platform and platform device logos as well as all icons so you don't have to download them individually. This does not include device logos, startup video startup or pause themes, collection logos, etc. Retro Console Startup.zip - The startup and shutdown theme I made to match with this theme. (screens below) Retro Console Pause.zip - The pause theme I made also to match this theme. (screens below) Platform Clear Logos.zip - Included in the theme download but also here in case you just want them alone. These were made specifically for this theme and there are currently 194 logos. Platform Device Logos.zip - Also made for this theme for the platform view that uses device images. Currently 122 logos. Collection Device Logos.zip - Made to match this theme for the platform view that uses device images for each collection i use. I can make more upon request. Collection Logos.zip - Same as the platform logos. Made to match so they can be used in this theme. Platform Categories.zip - A bunch of category logos also made to match this theme. Startup Video.zip - A startup video I made just to add to the overall completeness of the theme. Not at all necessary but here if you want it. Retro Console Sound Pack.zip - Again not required but here if you want it. This is what i use in the video below. Just unzip it to your launchbox sounds folder and then select it in BigBox. Recommendations: Set your Image priorities in Launchbox as follows - Cart Front ( add disc images to the list - this is used in many views in this theme) Set your startup and shutdown time limits in launchbox settings. (mine are: startup=5 sec and shutdown=3.5 sec) I designed this around the Nostalgia Platform Videos. You can use anything but those will fit and line up best. This theme assumes an xbox controller setup: A=Select, B=Back, X=Search, Y=Game Details and Select Button=Change View (not required) I also set the left bumper to platforms and right bumper to platform categories. (not required but helpful) Get as many Banner, Steam Banner and Marquee images as you can. This theme offers a unique view for all arcade cabinet based games and will use those images. There is also a custom view for systems like Windows that also use them. Future Plans: Create a new view that uses the original loading video from each console. (started on 1-3-2020) Complete the white silhouette console and controller images that are used in the startup theme. Add animations to the theme ( @y2guru is working on this ability for his theme creator as we speak and I will update once it is ready) Make platform videos to match this theme (maybe) How to Install: Extract Retro Console Theme.zip to your launchbox themes folder. This includes all the platform and device logos you need and will automatically use them. ( In order to use other logos just delete the ones in this theme folder) You can also use the startup and pause themes to add more of a consistent flow. Drop the startup video (if you want it) in the launchbox videos root folder. This theme currently has 80 different platforms and includes the matching device logos, collection logos, category logos and more but some of these have to be added manually through launchbox (sorry). I can not figure out how to make them automatic. Startup Video: Theme Video: Screenshot System View: Screenshots of each Logo Type: Screenshots - Startup and Shutdown and Pause Theme: Screenshots - Random and Extra Stuff: Screenshots - Platforms Views: Screenshots - Games Views: Screenshots - Other Views: (a few examples of the platform specific views)

mame64.exe - Normal Mame with Nags removed. For Version 0.220 mamearcade64.exe - Normal Mame with all Mess systems removed, and with NoNags Its recommended to download the full 0.220 official pack and install it, then just overwrite the exe with the replacment, this covers any changes the mame devs may have made to the support files. After you have done this, make sure you copy the folders artwork, ctrlr, cheat, hlsl, ini, folders and the mame.ini file from your original mame folder, and move/copy them to the new install. For those of you on old installs make sure in the mame.ini file you have the following set. Skip_gameinfo 1

WoodPanels has the old school retro feel of playing games on an old TV in a room with bad, green carpeting, but golden wooden paneled walls. The video game console or platform appears above or beside the television to match that look and feel. It is paired with a set of 8-bit fonts to complete the experience. Designed for 16:9 screens on a 1080p monitor (need feedback on different resolutions) Platform navigation features device images for 39 platforms. Games list view features device images for 39 platforms with support for game videos, game 3D/2D box art, game cart images (SNES, N64, Genesis, 32X, and Jaguar only). Consoles are paired with one of four different TVs from the same decade they were released (70s, 80s, 90s, 00s) "Wall View" for looking at game boxes on shelves is accompanied by the platform logo and image of the original console packaging. WoodPanels Startup Video is here! Alternate all-wood background available below, just unzip it under Launchbox/Themes/ and overwrite the default one. Trailer: Instructions: 1. Unzip in LaunchBox/Themes/. In BigBox under Options>Views>Theme> choose "WoodPanels" 2. To ensure you're viewing the image of the console and TV alongside the game list, go into the BigBox Menu (hit Esc on your keyboard or back on your controller) and select "View Platforms". 3. To view the carousel of devices in your platform view, go into Options>Views>Platform List View> and select "Platform Wheel 1". 4. Lastly, to make sure you keep this view the next time you start BigBox, go into Options>Views>Default Startup View> and select "Platforms". 5. For N64, SNES, Jaguar, Genesis, and Sega 32X, you need to download the game cart images AND you need to set your LaunchBox settings so your fallback images are disabled for this, otherwise when you have a missing game cart image it will pull something else and look...bad. LaunchBox Options>Legacy>Images>Cart Front Priorities>Uncheck all but "Cart - Front" 6. To enable a the "Wall View", change BigBox Options>Views>Games List View>Wall View. Switch it back to "Text List with Details" if you decide to go back. Hi all, I've been wanting to create a big box set for a while now and thought the Atari ST would be a good place to start, as it seemed to have the least amount of media available for it. Most of the boxes have been created from box scans taken from other platforms, such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, and DOS. As such a lot of the boxes should be able to re-used or easily converted back to those systems. To try and stay as accurate as possible, I've only created boxes for games that I've found a clear scan of the box spine for, or that I could easily recreate myself in Photoshop. This is still a WIP, so if anyone has any missing scans of boxes (with box spines) then please send my way. Enjoy!

It was requested if I would make a set of the PlayStation Japan 3D Boxes using the authentic templates made by @Suprakarma. I have made some modifications to the templates to fit with this set however. This is a collection of 3693 3D Boxes for the Japan Region Original Sony PlayStation. Only four are missing as original artwork for them is unavailable online because they are demo discs. Also included is a folder with 225 3D Boxes that are not in the ReDump rom set. The naming convention is based on the 2019-3-31 ReDump set. A Database is attached. This project was a collaboration between @Aorin, @diskmach and myself and has taken a long time to complete. diskmach was able to work out a way of converting the original covers serial number to real names (with out this the project would never of got started) so then Aorin was able to download and rename the original artwork. I then converted the images to 3D Boxes. Thanks to more help from Aorin, who converted all the covers with missing spines to Japanese names I was able to create Spines in Japanese for about 1200 boxes that there are not scans of. Any corrections that users find may be necessary please leave a comment and I will make the corrections in later releases. Sony PlayStation - Japan.xml

    # WHAT IS COLORFUL? COLORFUL is a complete and coherent high quality graphic set, around a unique design. Made with love in France. I hope you like it ! 😘 Here are planned development axes: COLORFUL Theme : The main hub, a unique interface for BigBox. COLORFUL Platform Video : Complete 4K video set, with a unique design. COLORFUL Resources : You want create video? It's the place to be! COLORFUL BigBox Startup Video : (soon) COLORFUL Startup Theme : (soon) COLORFUL Pause Theme : (soon) # WANT TO CREATE VIDEO? YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE! On this page we are talking about COLORFUL RESOURCES. Have you considered creating a new Platform/Category/Playlist video for Colorful? This is the place to be! Done, by and for the community. You will find below my guideline and quick tutorial. If you are tempted by the adventure, please respect the rules below! Thx !! # READY FOR ADVENTURE? FOLLOW THE GUIDE! Before we start going into the technique, let's set up some basics on how we're going to do it. The idea is not to make me a tyrant, but to keep an overall coherence of design, style and to centralize uploads/downloads on a single page. The basic principles : On this Resources Page, you will find: 1 archive = 1 platform sources. (From me or from you) On the Platform Video Page, you will find: 1 file = 1 video. (From me or from you) Here are the rules to follow: ONLY use this forum thread for ALL that concerns the video creation. Form start to finish. Please, not used the comment section below. Announced on what platform(s) you want to work. (New or rebuild) Post your work in progress! This is very important, to have feedback from community and me. Follow the guideline below. There can be several videos from the same platform. I will add your credits. But keep the same background color please, for theme integration. Don't be susceptible if we make comments. πŸ˜‰ At the end, send me your video and source files. I will upload them to the corresponding pages, with your credits. Here, I will act as a moderator. πŸ˜… The goal of all these rules is to keep the set consistent, allow the community to take part in creation and centralize everything for ease of use. About software, I used Photoshop and After Effect in their old version (CS6) and without any plugin, to maximize compatibility with your systems. You can use other software of course, but try not to use plugins. # GUIDELINES? I created these guidelines, based on my experience with NOSTALGIA. They have a whole purpose and I ask you to respect them. Here is the principle:You can find these construction lines, as guides, in the Photoshop (.PSD) files, in each Platform archive. The goal is to let the design breathe, while allowing great versatility of use. Whether in full screen, in 4:3 or 1:1, this video set remains usable. I have created a theme around this set, but I hope it will not be the only one! A word for the wise ... # WHAT ARE THE STEPS ? Briefly, the steps I follow for each video. Find photo sources for each element of the montage. I try to put the credits in each archive. Carry out the editing in Photoshop, keeping a layer structure common to each platform. From Photoshop, save each layer group in separate PNG files. Find a Gameplay video (EmuMovies for most) and the boot section (Youtube for most) Go to After Effect, gather everything in 4K and render a "master" video file. (understand heavy one) Use VidCoder to make my different outputs (4K h264 / 4K h265 / HD h264) and size compression. A quick word for the arcade cabinet: It's too hard to find good photo sources. So I made them all in full 3D (CGI). If you have the knowledge, go there! Otherwise, I create my renderings so that they can be edited in Photoshop. πŸ˜ƒ # IN DETAIL, PHOTOSHOP ? I'm not going to do a beginner tutorial for Photoshop. Here's how I sort my slaps. It would be good to respect this nomenclature, always to maintain consistency. And post on this forum thread your work in progress ! Once the editing is finalized, I export these slaps in 4 PNG files, to go under After Effect. (see text in the left column above) Why in PNG and not directly use the PSD? Because I noticed "more file corruption with the PSD. In the context of exchange with the community, the PNG is much more universal for people not using the Adobe suite. # IN DETAIL, AFTER EFFECT ? Here it is more difficult to explain yourself with words or pictures. But here is the basic principle:The Mask Layer will be used for the Gameplay video. And post on this forum thread your work in progress ! I let you open the files to better understand. If the need arises, I will come and fill this part. # IN DETAIL, VIDCODER ? To optimize the size of the videos and multiply the formats, I use the free and open-source VIDCODER. (also on Microsoft Store) It is rather simple, allows batch processing, and as there are finally few "moving" elements in my videos, the optimization is pretty good.I created and tested 3 profiles that you can import and use. Here they are : VidCoder_Viking_Settings.zip # AT THE END, SHARING ! Once finished, send me the files directly: Video in the 3 export formats from VidCoder. Your source archive, trying to keep the same structure as mine. I take care of the conformation of the names, the addition of the credit, and the upload on the right pages. Thank you in advance ! # SPECIAL THANKS : @Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! To all Patreon guys! This was supposed to be a simple flat theme, but evolved into a 2 in 1, so you have the regular view which is flat and sleek and also you have available an optional view (per device) that resemble some classic mini consoles (including consoles that do not have mini versions as of yet). Features of this theme: Simple flat version that runs fast and looks great. No flashy animations that may affect perfomance. Optional "Classic Mini" view for many systems. Every Classic Mini view has it's own background music. Improved original design of some "Classic Mini" (Such as PSX and Genesis). "Classic Mini" style views for consoles that do not have an oficial Mini version (such as PS2, WII, etc.). Platform/console selection with video (you need to download the video first from regular launchbox menu). First version (1.0.1) has most of the more known consoles in "Classic Mini" style: NES, GB, GBC, Sega Master System, SNES, Turbografx, Gega Genesis, N64, PSX, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, WII, WiiU, etc. Recommended configuration: Platform selection Regular GameList ViewOptional "Classic Mini" view . Video of the theme in action (no fancy editing for now) Please follow my channel for updates and related content. If you have any questions, please let me know. P.S.: English is not my first language so I apologise for any mistake. P.S.2: Thanks y2guru for your amazing theme editor.

Also thanks to @Grila for some of the code snippets I've used. _____________________________ INTRODUCTION I know there's been arcade machine based themes before, The reason I wanted to make this one was firstly to try out some of the new features that were added to the theme editor, and secondly I've always wanted to see the side of the cabinet with the artwork. There is a known issue with the theme and for that reason it's best used at 16:9 aspect ratio. _____________________________ INSTALLATION Download the zip file and unblock it (right click the zip file, goto "Properties" then at the bottom put a tick in the "Unblock" box, hit ok when done) then extract the folder to --\Launchbox\Themes\

This includes media for all 96 Pinball FX3 tables through Volume 5 released in December 2019. This pack includes: Clear Logo Docklet Gameplay Screenshot Full Table Gameplay Screenshot Background Pseudo-Backglass - I use these for Game Title snaps Advertisement - Front and Back (for the recreation tables only) I only made a few of the backglass/background images when no others were available. The rest are credited to others, gathered from Zen site, Steam, www.gameex.info pinballx media site, and around the web. If someone objects to an image they created being in this pack, let me know and I will remove it. For those that have two screen setups, then the images for the background on screen #2, named according to the PXP (Steam) file naming convention (which is not straightforward) are in the "Two-Screen Images - PXP Naming.zip" file. The Pinball FX3 Images.Zip file contains a zip of the Launchbox images folders. Within the folder structure they are as follows: Clear Logo = Clear Logo folder Docklet = Box-Front-Reconstructed folder Gameplay Screenshot = Screenshot-Gameplay Full Table Gameplay Screenshot = Screenshot-Game Select Background = Fanart-Background Pseudo-Backglass = Screenshot-Game Title Advertisement - Front and Back (for the recreation tables only) - Flyers folders If you want video snaps, you can find those here: Lastly this platform XML file contains data for each table, PXP name, year, manufacturer, brief description (usually from Zen site), and base information that would normally be downloaded from LB DB. NOTE: The XML file is now located with rest of image downloads. Just click "DOWNLOAD" button at top right, and it is the last entry.

Spectrum is a complete rebuild of my theme Blade Runner. It focuses heavily on full screen 16x9 video backgrounds, animation, fading with 4 platform views, 5 game views and 5 color variants Blue, Green, Orange, Purple and Red. Platform 1 uses a color shifting background that fades elements on the UI and goes completely UI free aside from the BigBox Logo after 40 seconds of idle. Switching to another platform brings the UI back. Platform 2 uses the same elements but focuses on using Platform videos such as vikings color themes. Both of these can be changed in the video folder under background.mp4 and platforms folder. Platform 2 and 4 mirror their 1 and 3 views but do not fade any UI elements for those who want to always see the platform images. Games 1 view uses full screen video or stretched if 4:3 to output 16:9 and overlayed scanlines with animation and UI fading with slightly different timings than the platform views. Games 2 view uses the same techniques as view 1 but keeps the original aspect ratio of the gameplay videos. Games 3 and 4 are mirrored views of 1 and 2 with no scanline overlay. The text view offers no fading and outputs video as stretched with scanlines. An optional folder is included to change the images of the button layouts from an XBOX controller to a PS4. These are located inside the Optional Button Layouts folder. Pick your option and inside is an Images folder, drag and drop these in the root of the theme(s).

Mr. RetroLust's Neo Geo Dual Layout Marquees (complete) Pack 1 & 2 + Bonus Marquees, the full dedicated marquees will be released separately in the future. All these marquees have been uploaded to the launchbox database as well. Description I made these Marquees exclusively for the LaunchBox community as appreciation for the awesome work, software and everyone that contributes to this amazing community. I find the official single 'mini-marquee' system a bit boring with just one small mini-marquee on a huge red plate and as the games came with more instruction flyers and artwork I got inspired by the dual-marquee layout to use the second placeholder for more artwork, for some games I couldn't find extra flyer material so I used artwork from back-covers and such to fill up the second placeholder. Now it feels a bit more colorful. Features Marquees for 156 NEO GEO games Made from the highest quality artwork available I could find Cleaned up and color corrected artwork Custom translations from Japanese to English where needed and when possible Including restored/remade/revived artwork Exclusive Day mode / Night Mode (unlit/lit) for every marquee Optimized for 21:9 aspect ratio for full screen ultra-wide marquee monitors All marquees are Ultra HD Resolution; 3840 pixels wide See this thread for more details, kinda like 'the making of' lol: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/44355-coming-soon-neo-geo-marquees-v20/ List of games covered (not completely in alphabetical order): 3 Count Bout (Fire Suplex) Super Baseball 2020 (2020 Super Baseball) Aggressors of Dark Kombat (Tsukai GANGAN Koshinkyoku) Alpha Mission II (ASO II: Last Guardian) Andro Dunos Art of Fighting (Ryuko no Ken) Art of Fighting 2 (Ryuko no Ken 2) Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior (ART OF FIGHTING: Ryuko no Ken - Gaiden) Bang Bead (Bang Beads) Baseball Stars Professional Baseball Stars 2 Battle Flip Shot (Flip Shot) Blazing Star Blue's Journey (Raguy) Breakers Breakers Revenge Burning Fight Captain Tomaday Crossed Swords Crossed Swords II Cyber-Lip Double Dragon (Double Dragon 6-1) Eight Man (8 Man) Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash (Tengai Makyo: Shinden) Fatal Fury: King of Fighters (Garo Densetsu: Shukumei no Tatakai) Fatal Fury 2 (Garo Densetsu 2: Aratanaru Tatakai) Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory (Garo Densetsu 3: Harukanaru Tatakai) Fatal Fury Special (Garo Densetsu Special) Fight Fever (Wang Jung Wang) Football Frenzy Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors Ganryu (Musashi Ganryuki) Garou: Mark of the Wolves Ghostlop Ghost Pilots Goal! Retrotastic was built during a Theme Stream broadcast. If you are interested in creating themes, follow me on Twitch, or watch the videos later on YouTube. A Catalog of past Theme Streams can be found on the forums here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/54760-retro-faerans-theme-stream-big-box-theme-creation/ This theme only works on version 10.15 and above due to its reliance on some new bindings! Retrotastic I recreated my Retrotastic theme in the theme creator. This was an ambitious project, but one that was well worth it. It still has all the fun of the original theme, with over 150 platform specific backgrounds and a plethora of game specific backgrounds and graphics to play around with. This brings the theme up to a new, modern standard that includes many performance benefits. I also managed to tweak the views here and there to make the theme snappier. Please enjoy this new version, along with the COMMUNITY Theme Creator project files for you to play around with and create your own version of my theme. Use this plugin to filter and import MAME Software Lists into LaunchBox. Features:- Choose to import clones as Additional Apps, separately or not at all - Skip Prototypes (filter option) - Skip Non Supported games (filter option) - Import the selected (filtered) Console/Computer games into LaunchBox - Adds the appropriate command to each imported games' Command Line (ex. a2600 -cart) - Copy the filtered selection of roms to a separate folder (optional) (After copying files, they will automatically be imported) *New v1.32 - If a newly imported game is tagged as not supported by MAME, it will be marked as "Broken". Will also check existing games in the Platform being imported to (in case MAME updated its' status) What's needed: - (2) dll files included in the zip file Starting with v2.0, only the (1) dll file included in the zip. - MAME Software List hash files (located in the "hash" sub folder of your Mame's main folder) - MAME Software List roms* and BIOS files (only if you want to actually play them) *The rom set needs to be either a Split set or a Non-Merged set for a full import - If you plan to not import clones, any type set will work. What it won't do: - Filter/Sort by Region (it's a MAME hash file limitation) - Determine if/what BIOS files are needed - Import Metadata and Media (just use LaunchBoxs' built-in Tool) How to: - Copy the "ImportMameSoftwareLists" folder from the zip file to your ..\LaunchBox\Plugins folder. - Navigate to that folder and unblock the 2 dll files. (Right click, Properties, and click Unblock) *New in v1.31 - Start LaunchBox. Click on "Tools" and select "Import MAME Software Lists". Note: - The "Destination Folder" is required even if you don't plan to copy the files. It's needed to set up the Application Folder for the games when Importing. See what's new in Change Log. * MESS xml * To see MAME's Overall and Emulation status [Preliminary/Good/Imperfect]in the Import Mame Software Lists plugin, you will need to have the MESS xml file that matches your version of MAME. messxxx.xml (where 'xxx' is the MAME version. i.e. mess215.xml) This file needs to be located in the same folder as the plugin (..\LaunchBox\Plugins\ImportMameSoftwareLists\) and can be download from: http://www.progettosnaps.net/mess/ These files are [relatively] large (24MB+) and will slow down the screen updates when selecting different consoles/computers. Use "Shrink_MESSxml.exe" to reduce the mess xml file size to a little over 1MB to eliminate slow screen updates. (April-2020 V2.0 is available. Reduces file size even more.) After 1st making a backup, it then removes unneeded data from the xml file. Place only the one 'shrunken' xml file in the plugin folder. ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\ImportMameSoftwareLists\mess215.xml (a 'shrunken' mess215.xml is included with v1.30) The Import Mame Software Lists plugin will search for "mess*.xml". So as you update, just replace the old xml file (mess215.xml) with the new one (mess216.xml). ONLY HAVE ONE MESS XML FILE IN THE PLUGIN FOLDER AT A TIME! v1.32 includes mess219.xml (shrunken, of course) Other Notes: (things I've learned) - Software List folder/file locations: - *Associated Platform Command line parameters - MAME and CDROMS

This is a complete Hyperlist collection of PlayStation 2 3D Boxes. There are 2585 3D Boxes in the collection. These 3D Boxes use the same template as my Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and Steam 3D Boxes. There is a Blue case design as an option for Pal games in the Download. The Collection was the made by myself and @dejarik (from Hyperspin Forums) I made Boxes that Spine art was not available for and added script to make them look as official as possible. dejarik made the full cover boxes with the correct Spine art. This is a complete Collection of 3D Boxes, 2D Carts and Logos for the Sega Genesis USA Region. The set is named after the 2019 No-Intro Rom set and includes all Betas, Protos and Sega Channel Covers and as a result of the naming convention used with No-Intro there will be a lot duplicate artwork with slightly different naming. The concept behind these No-Intro named packs is that the user can either have seperate systems with an entire library of artwork for each system or choose a region they would prefare and simply overwrite the region artwork that is not wanted as the artwork and roms will have the same names (for example: Japan, USA), doing this will leave a library of artwork with a complete region and only the exclusives would be left for the region that was overwritten, then all that is left is to delete the unwanted Artwork. There are three different versions of 3D Boxes to choose from: Normal, With Plastic Cover, With Plastic Cover and Sheen. A big thanks goes out to @Aorin who put a lot of work into the Logos and helped create artwork for many parts of this project. This project wouldn't of been finished if it wasn't for his help. The great looking carts were made by @WallyWonka and I have added and made many of my own using his templates. Though some of the naming may seem a bit strange in some instances, LaunchBox and Emumovies will download the correct information and videos for all games. This is a collection of 189 3D Boxes for the Nintendo Wii U. These use the same template as my PC, Steam, Xbox, Xbox 360 3D Boxes. These Boxes are for games released on Disc format. These are named after the official Hyperlist XML and all boxes are included. However only about half of them have spine art as many full covers are not available yet on the net however I have added script to the boxes missing spine art to complete the set. Also some of the boxes in this set may have European covers where American covers should be as I tried to find as many full covers as possible and I always took what ever was available regardless of region. this did not happen often though. **5.0 Version - Updated to Volume 5 Pack** Here is a set of 1920 x 1080 game play video snaps (~30 seconds each) for Pinball FX3 that I created. Note the pinball table logos that fade in at end; credit to others on those. The files have been compressed by about 50% since in most cases the window used to view these in a theme will be much smaller. If someone wants the native 1920x1080 files, let me know (~65 MB each). Here is what is included: Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Volume 5 Update.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Universal's Monster Pack.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps 3.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps 1.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps 2.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Marvel Tables Pack #2.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Star Wars Tables Pack #2.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Universal and Other Tables.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Zen Tables #1.zip Pinball FX 3 Video Snaps - Zen Tables #2.zip

Initially a variant of Grila's Fundamental, Stark is a minimal Big Box theme focusing on usability, clean looks and fast access to what matters: the games. Suggested image packs: Platform/Playlist Banners (strongly recommended) https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/113-minimal-platform-logos/ Platform ClearLogos https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/403-basic-platform-clear-logo-set/ Platform Device Images (also supports videos) https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/109-hardware-platform-set/ Requires LaunchBox 9.6.7 or above Expect gremlins, I'm new at this Currently requires 1080p resolution or equivalent (eg 200% DPI scaling at 2160p). A fix for this is in the works FIXED! hopefully Todo: Fix platform quickselect (favs/recent) title font Fix non-displaying A-Z index bar in some game views Add star rating images Adjust margins on wall view (I'm yet to figure out how to do this, the spacing adjustment only seems to apply horizontally).
