Welcome to Faeran's BannerBox. A horizontal banner based theme, inspired by 80s retro. This theme relies heavily on custom banner images that were created using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator. Because of reliance of custom banner images this theme is a whopping 2 GB. Please make sure you have enough space on your drive. Also note that this theme requires you to be running at least version 10.15 of LaunchBox. Download this theme from the theme manager within Big Box. This base theme has banners for the following systems (Some System packs will be released separately): Download extra banner packs and install them into: LAUNCHBOX\Themes\BannerBox\Images\Games\Custom Images 1 Explaination of some files: BannerBox.zip - The same theme that can be downloaded from within Big Box's theme manager BannerBox - Base Theme - No Game Banners.zip - Same theme as above, but without any game banners. Use this if you want to create your own banners BannerBox - Template - Create Your Own Banners.zip - Use this file to load into the COMMUNITY Theme Creator to create your own banner images Learn how to create your own BannerBox Banner Images: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtK2S7Owo8Y Download banners created by the community in this thread: BannerBox Community Banner Thread - Platform Media - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com) Looking to create your own theme? NEON DELUXE ARCADE - FINAL 16:9 ----------------------------------------------------- CREDITS Huge thanks goes out to @y2guru for his Community Theme Creator Software and his endless personal help, also he created the animated wheels for this theme! @Hexxxer for the original inspiration of his FutureState theme. @Rincewind for the inspiration on his use of the icons. Thanks guys! ----------------------------------------------------- INTRO This is the final version of Neon Deluxe Arcade, it's completely rebuild from the ground up. The old theme was slow, I couldn't even run it in 4K but with this rebuild it runs even smoothly with 4K theme graphics. This theme looks the same in any DPI setting now but it's only for 16:9 views. _Neon Deluxe Arcade Final.mp4 ----------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION 1. Download the theme here and place the folder in Launchbox/Themes/ 2. You might need to unblock the zip file or all the .DLL's in the plugin folder. Right click the zip or DLL files, choose properties and at the bottom you click "Unblock". 3. I recommend doing the following to speed up Big Box greatly: - Uncheck all Background Images in Launchbox > Tools > Options > Media > Background Priorities - Set all transitions to "None" in BigBox settings - Use the Clean Up media tool in launchbox/tools/Clean Up Media... (this can really speed up lists with thousands of games and duplicate media) - Defrag the drive that holds your media files Hope you like and enjoy! ๐Ÿค˜ ----------------------------------------------------- LINKS Neon Deluxe Arcade is a series of themes and elements, if you like you can download these to accompany the complete theme, visit this page to see all my other work: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/profile/88501-mr-retrolust/content/?type=downloads_file The excellent start up video by @PaDeMoNiuM

This theme attempt to be minimal and modern and maximise screen estate. Note: this is a beta release and features may change in future releases. Installation Unzip into LaunchBox\LBThemes directory In LaunchBox go to: Options -> Visuals -> Theme: Lambda beta Windows 7/8 user: Microsoft's โ€œSegoe MDL2 Assetsโ€ font ( SegMDL2.ttf ) is required for the buttons and icons to rendered properly. (If you have it it will work but itโ€™s not included here because of licensing reasons.) Settings guide tl;dr: You may have to tweak your Boxes aspect ratio and spacing. The top Details image is only visible when Fanart is available. Button bar can't be hidden because of the licensing info. Font and colour settings have no effect (font is based on system font). Settings used in screenshots are: Options -> Visuals -> Boxes -> Spacing: Aspect Ratio: 0.6 * Horizontal Spacing: 2 Vertical Spacing: 2 Horizontal Padding: 8 Vertical Padding: 2 Text Spacing: 4 Text Lines to Show: 2 *) For horizontal box art you may need to use a higher value. Options -> Visuals -> Boxes: Align Text Vertically : enabled Align Text Horizontally : enabled Show Subline : enabled (for platform info) Other recommended settings: Options -> Legacy -> General -> Game Details: Show Fanart: enabled other options at your own preference Options -> Legacy -> Images -> Background Priorities : Fanart : enabled other options disabled Options -> Visuals -> Backgrounds: Background Blur Amount : 100 Background Fade Amount : 0 (Imo. the theme looks best when blurred background Fanart and Details Fanart are the same image.) Settings that don't have any effect: Button bar can't be hidden because the license has to stay visible. Colours are hard coded. Font (including size and scaling) is based on your Windows system settings. Thanks to Grila for allowing me to use his LBPlex theme code, Retro808, neil9000, C-Beats and Jason Carr for testing and everyone who supported this release on the forum. The Community Theme Creator for BigBox is still in development and should be treated as an Alpha build, however it has enough features in place that would allow you to start building your own Themes. (Please see Pyramids by @Rincewind) As I have no documentation at this point, please visit my YouTube Channel as I demonstrate some of the various features. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCALHDoR8oQifl6sbIrdrW6w Installation 1. Download .zip file 2. Unblock (right click on the .zip file, select properties and click on Unblock) 3. Unzip where ever you like 4. Go to the unzipped folder and go to folder ".Install these fonts first to allow the demo theme to load correctly in the editor" 5. Install the 2 fonts (these are only needed for the included Theme) 6. Click on the "COMMUNITY Theme Creator for BigBox.exe" 7. Fill out the setup properties (userid / name and location of the BigBox.exe ) 8. Enjoy! FYI. If you wish to design a Theme in either 4:3 or 16:9 or any other aspect ratio then simply change your windows desktop settings to the desired resolution and open the editor.

This is probably my 3rd (and last) go at making a 3D box art set for the NES. There are many 3D boxes out there for the NES, but what makes this one special is the higher quality source images used and my favorite part, authentic retail spines used on all boxes (except some unlicensed prototypes that never even had box art to begin with). A lot of NES 3D boxes out there have the annoying NES logo on the spines, like this: I used to prefer that NES spine logo, but it now annoys me to no end. I wanted a complete set with authentic retail spines for all games, so I headed to thecoverproject.net and found a boatload of high quality boxes WITH retail spines, but not for every game so I just filled in the blanks, created retail spines for those without them. I even created box images for unlicensed and prototypes games. 888 games in total, some alternate covers here and there. The new 3D box template is larger than the old one since I was working with ultra high quality 2D images from the cover project. Here is the new box: As you can see, much better and of course, authentic. The dimensions are 903x1401, so its quite a large set but it looks great in Big Box. I do have a complete 2D set WITH Back, Left Spine and Front images. The dimenions on those are 3366x2100, and its almost 6GBs in file size so it will be a massive upload. I'll see if I can upload it after I upload this. I included as PSD template for those that want to create their own 3D boxes. Enjoy!

AllNightLong is trying to be a clean simple theme with little animation and stuff going around. Designed for 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3 screens. Platform navigation features banner images for 52 different platforms. Includes default playlist image in the themes playlist folder. Supported Views: Platform Wheel 1 Platform Wheel 2 Text Filters View Text Games View Horizontal Wheel 1 Games View Horizontal Wheel 2 Games View Vertical Wheel 2 Games View Vertical Wheel 2 Games View Background color: Change the background image/color. (LaunchBox\Themes\AllNightLong\Media\Custom Assets\). The default background file name is "default-bg". So change the backgound file name to this and it will show up in the theme. There are now 5 alternatives or you can make your own also. The only limiting factor is the text color, which will always be white, so white or very light backgrounds will not work. Credits: Theme was created by @thimolor Theme was created using COMMUNITY Theme Creator by @y2guru Uses Google Fonts: Barlow and Barlow Condenced Designed by Jeremy Tribby. Platform Text Filters View Screenshot uses video made by @viking as a platform background. This theme uses some of the device images from EmulationStation theme Tronkyjared (https://github.com/cowboyjeeper/tronkyjared). Many device images and system logos are taken from Wikipedia. @Crylen did many new platform banners, that are now added to the theme. Support: Support will be slow, sorry for that. If you run into issues concerning the custom banner images, please refresh the images first. Also please check your LaunchBox image options for fallbacks. I could not test all the platforms so there could be file naming issues. Special Thanks: @bundangdon @Retro808 @proghodet @Tromzy I received crucial feedback from these fine gamers. Without them, the theme would be less refined.

Hey all, I have another set here to release. This took me far longer then I had hoped but I am happy with the result. After looking all over the internet there was no complete set for Game Boy Advance carts in a nice matching template... everything was poor quality and skewed images, etc. I took the task of making this set. I have 981 GBA games and this pack includes carts for all but two games that I simply cannot find images for anywhere. This is an NTSC only set. There are 983 files in the download (i think I had a few duplicates as I only made carts for 981 games minus the two missing for a total of 979, leaving 4 "extras" in this pack. If anyone finds those duplicates/extras let me know so I can remove them and re-upload. Also the two games I am missing artwork for are: Pocket Professor: KwikNotes Volume One Crash & Spyro Superpack_ Spyro Orange_ The Cortex Conspiracy + Crash Bandicoot Purple_ Ripto_s Rampage.png If anyone finds images for those two please contact me so I can get them added. Also, since I didn't get to verify my games against an "official" list it is possible I am missing some official NTSC games. If I am please also PM me the with what the game is and potentially a link. Looking online at various sources there are some discrepancies on a few releases and if they were NTSC or not. Anyways, enjoy everybody!

    # WHAT IS COLORFUL? COLORFUL is a complete and coherent high quality graphic set, around a unique design. Made with love in France. I hope you like it ! ๐Ÿ˜˜ Here are planned development axes: COLORFUL Theme : The main hub, a unique interface for BigBox. COLORFUL Platform Video : Complete 4K video set, with a unique design. COLORFUL Resources : You want create video? It's the place to be! COLORFUL BigBox Startup Video : (soon) COLORFUL Startup Theme : (soon) COLORFUL Pause Theme : (soon) # WANT TO CREATE VIDEO? YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE! On this page we are talking about COLORFUL RESOURCES. Have you considered creating a new Platform/Category/Playlist video for Colorful? This is the place to be! Done, by and for the community. You will find below my guideline and quick tutorial. If you are tempted by the adventure, please respect the rules below! Thx !! # READY FOR ADVENTURE? FOLLOW THE GUIDE! Before we start going into the technique, let's set up some basics on how we're going to do it. The idea is not to make me a tyrant, but to keep an overall coherence of design, style and to centralize uploads/downloads on a single page. The basic principles : On this Resources Page, you will find: 1 archive = 1 platform sources. (From me or from you) On the Platform Video Page, you will find: 1 file = 1 video. (From me or from you) Here are the rules to follow: ONLY use this forum thread for ALL that concerns the video creation. Form start to finish. Please, not used the comment section below. Announced on what platform(s) you want to work. (New or rebuild) Post your work in progress! This is very important, to have feedback from community and me. Follow the guideline below. There can be several videos from the same platform. I will add your credits. But keep the same background color please, for theme integration. Don't be susceptible if we make comments. ๐Ÿ˜‰ At the end, send me your video and source files. I will upload them to the corresponding pages, with your credits. Here, I will act as a moderator. ๐Ÿ˜… The goal of all these rules is to keep the set consistent, allow the community to take part in creation and centralize everything for ease of use. About software, I used Photoshop and After Effect in their old version (CS6) and without any plugin, to maximize compatibility with your systems. You can use other software of course, but try not to use plugins. # GUIDELINES? I created these guidelines, based on my experience with NOSTALGIA. They have a whole purpose and I ask you to respect them. Here is the principle:You can find these construction lines, as guides, in the Photoshop (.PSD) files, in each Platform archive. The goal is to let the design breathe, while allowing great versatility of use. Whether in full screen, in 4:3 or 1:1, this video set remains usable. I have created a theme around this set, but I hope it will not be the only one! A word for the wise ... # WHAT ARE THE STEPS ? Briefly, the steps I follow for each video. Find photo sources for each element of the montage. I try to put the credits in each archive. Carry out the editing in Photoshop, keeping a layer structure common to each platform. From Photoshop, save each layer group in separate PNG files. Find a Gameplay video (EmuMovies for most) and the boot section (Youtube for most) Go to After Effect, gather everything in 4K and render a "master" video file. (understand heavy one) Use VidCoder to make my different outputs (4K h264 / 4K h265 / HD h264) and size compression. A quick word for the arcade cabinet: It's too hard to find good photo sources. So I made them all in full 3D (CGI). If you have the knowledge, go there! Otherwise, I create my renderings so that they can be edited in Photoshop. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ # IN DETAIL, PHOTOSHOP ? I'm not going to do a beginner tutorial for Photoshop. Here's how I sort my slaps. It would be good to respect this nomenclature, always to maintain consistency. And post on this forum thread your work in progress ! Once the editing is finalized, I export these slaps in 4 PNG files, to go under After Effect. (see text in the left column above) Why in PNG and not directly use the PSD? Because I noticed "more file corruption with the PSD. In the context of exchange with the community, the PNG is much more universal for people not using the Adobe suite. # IN DETAIL, AFTER EFFECT ? Here it is more difficult to explain yourself with words or pictures. But here is the basic principle:The Mask Layer will be used for the Gameplay video. And post on this forum thread your work in progress ! I let you open the files to better understand. If the need arises, I will come and fill this part. # IN DETAIL, VIDCODER ? To optimize the size of the videos and multiply the formats, I use the free and open-source VIDCODER. (also on Microsoft Store) It is rather simple, allows batch processing, and as there are finally few "moving" elements in my videos, the optimization is pretty good.I created and tested 3 profiles that you can import and use. Here they are : VidCoder_Viking_Settings.zip # AT THE END, SHARING ! Once finished, send me the files directly: Video in the 3 export formats from VidCoder. Your source archive, trying to keep the same structure as mine. I take care of the conformation of the names, the addition of the credit, and the upload on the right pages. Thank you in advance ! # SPECIAL THANKS : @Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! To all Patreon guys! What is it? CoinOps Redux is a port of CoinOps Next to BigBox, co-created with @Klopjero. The theme has been developed using the Community Theme Creator (all the credit to @y2guru) and should display correctly in both 16:9 and 4:3 ratios. As in the case of CoinOps, it relies on 1120x1080 fanart images for game wheel views. Big thanks to BritneysPAIRS and the CoinOps team for their work in CoinOps and for their amazing theme design. Views It includes the following BigBox views: - 4 platform views. - 2 game wheels for arcade based systems. - 2 game wheels for non-arcade based systems. - 2 horizontal game wheels. - Systems view. Supporting more than 130 systems. For platform views, we suggest to use @viking colorful videos. Files available [CoinOps Redux 1.0.zip] The BigBox theme files. Just uncompress and copy / paste to Launchbox\Themes folder. All platform background images are included in the file. [Platforms] Sets of fanart images (1120x1080) for several platforms. If you want to use them, just unzip and copy / paste to Launchbox\Images\[Platform]\Fanart - Background. * It is also possible to use the fanart packs uploaded by @RedSnake for his DarkRoom theme (or use these in DarkRoom). Hey Guys, Here are all 296 released NTSC Nintendo 64 front carts. These are all high-res and much better then what is currently out there. I have decided to do this set because N64 could use some love and these are all accurate carts with the appropriate cart colors for each game that offered a colored variant. I have named them using the no-intro naming scheme (as all my files will eventually be updated to this format). When dropping these in your Launchbox build there are a handful that do not auto-load; you will have to manually update your game name in Launchbox. If anyone notices any issues or anything let me know otherwise enjoy!

I started out only making 2D boxes for this system, because I always felt the Atari 2600 3D box art set was up to par. But later I did notice that a lot of the spines were inaccurate. This set fixes that. I tried to be accurate and thorough as possible. All the major releases are included, as well as unlicensed, prototypes, European exclusives and dozens of alternates. I would love to add these to the gamesdb but that is so daunting. I wish I had access to the gamesdb and clean it all up in like a day. The entire database. Anyway, I did include templates for those that want to make their own boxes or improve the ones that are in this collection. Enoy!

LV-101 is dark, futuristic and responsive theme. Theme uses custom device and playlist images (download the psd templates from here). 108 devices are included in this package. Should work well with 16:10, 16:9, 4:3 and 5:4 ratios. Theme was designed to use box art, gameplay screenshot and gameplay video. If you want to make changes you can download the Community Creator Tool Files. For view transitions I recommend the vertical animation, it just feels right with this theme. Requires a powerful system to run smoothly. Tried it with i5-4570t and performance was horrible. AllNightLong works better on older systems. Theme contains: Platform Wheel 1 Platform Wheel 2 Text Filters View Text Games View Horizontal Wheel 1 Games View Horizontal Wheel 2 Games View So not a lot, but I didn't want to make this theme as huge as my previous theme. # WHAT IS COLORFUL MEDIA SET ? COLORFUL is a complete and coherent high quality graphic set, around a unique design. Made with love in France. Modern, elegant and animated are the key words of this interface. # I NEED YOUR HELP : PATREON ? Same problem as with my video set ! Creating videos & theme takes a loooooot of time. And I have to deal with a full-time CGI artist job and 2 young kids. So I opened a Patreon page that could allow me to dedicate days on my work time to continue creating video. I'm not trying to get rich, but like everyone else, I cant spend 1 day/week working for free! I hope you understand. If the project interests you: Here is my Patreon page. # IN DETAIL ? The main features : 16:9 only. (Works on other ratio, but with black bands) Full 4K asset. (Any resolution must work, 4K assets) Totally responsive. No resolution deformation on text size or placement. Because of the white/black background, some ClearLogo comes with the theme. Gamepad connection indicator & battery level. # RECOMMENDATION ? Any design choice gives limitations. Here are some recommendations for this theme : LaunchBox/BigBox v.10.0 (and up) VLC highly recommended. Design for work with COLORFUL platform video set. Vectrex 2D Front Cover Box Art - By Simon Quincey - hitt.man@ntlworld.com So i added all my Vectrex roms (113 at the time) to Launchbox, i let it do its "thing" and the artwork it downloaded was horrendous. Different sizes, wildly different qualities, some real, some custom and a whole load missing. Like 70% missing! Every rom needs an image, they should all be the same size and style too. I know, i'll make my own set using anything i can find online. 113 roms, how long can it take? If theres no artwork online i'll just use a screenshot from emulation. Every search for more images, lead me to more websites, more information and more roms. I joined a very cool Facebook group on 28th April, to learn more and find more artwork and there were plenty of helpful people there. There were also more roms... From the "Vectrex Fans Unite" Facebook group i would like to thank everyone for the encouragement and support. And particular thanks to these guys who provided much needed original artwork to complete this cover set. Graham Toal Chris Malcolm Jacek Selanski David Flemming Tony Holcomb Alan McClelland Manu Parssinen Steven Salter John Blythe If you helped me out and i missed your name here, sorry, but i do thank you. Also, from the Launchbox thread i started and did my daily progress updates to, i would like to thank... Lukeyboy67 Starbuck Dragon57 ...for the ongoing support. I started at 113 roms but ended up with 260! Seemed never ending but i've finally done it. So here in this pack are 260 unified images, all following the same design template, same resolution (1024x800) and (as much as possible) the same quality level. I have done the best i can with the online artwork i could find. I've used original box scans where possible, i've used other peoples custom box artwork at times, i've upscaled some, cleaned others, totally dumped and rebuilt others. I've used various emulators to capture screenshots and built totally new logos for some. Its been a lot of work and after about 6-7 weeks or so, i'm done... for now... Although this set of images was selfishly only going to be for myself to begin with, after sharing what i was doing it seemed there were others who were interested in using these. I was asked if i would share them, so thats what i'm doing. Of course, they are free to use, i don't own any of this. This set should now be uploaded to the Launchbox website/forum as a pack/zip and to my own GoogleDrive too. My GoogleDrive will also hold these as individual files and i'll have an area for new and updated files. The link to my GoogleDrive will be shared to both the Launchbox forum and Facebook group. Updates to this pack, error fixes, new covers, cover requests etc. may only be uploaded to my GoogleDrive. So if you have read all this waffle and you are using these images, please check there for new files. I will take requests for covers, if i've missed a rom and you still have artwork gaps after adding this set, just ask. I will fix any errors you spot too. All i ask is you request by email (top and bottom of this text), and if its for a rom i don't have, you send me that rom. I will update covers too if you have improved artwork, you just need to send me it. Comments, roms, requests, fixes, artwork etc. to... hitt.man@ntlworld.com Have fun. WoodPanels has the old school retro feel of playing games on an old TV in a room with bad, green carpeting, but golden wooden paneled walls. The video game console or platform appears above or beside the television to match that look and feel. It is paired with a set of 8-bit fonts to complete the experience. Designed for 16:9 screens on a 1080p monitor (need feedback on different resolutions) Platform navigation features device images for 40 platforms. Games list view features device images for 40 platforms with support for game videos, game 3D/2D box art, game cart images (SNES, N64, Genesis, 32X, and Jaguar only). Consoles are paired with one of four different TVs from the same decade they were released (70s, 80s, 90s, 00s) "Wall View" for looking at game boxes on shelves is accompanied by the platform logo and image of the original console packaging. WoodPanels Startup Video is here! Alternate all-wood background available below, just unzip it under Launchbox/Themes/ and overwrite the default one. Trailer: Instructions: 1. Unzip in LaunchBox/Themes/WoodPanels. In BigBox under Options>Views>Theme> choose "WoodPanels" 2. To ensure you're viewing the image of the console and TV alongside the game list, go into the BigBox Menu (hit Esc on your keyboard or back on your controller) and select "View Platforms". 3. To view the carousel of devices in your platform view, go into Options>Views>Platform List View> and select "Platform Wheel 1". 4. Lastly, to make sure you keep this view the next time you start BigBox, go into Options>Views>Default Startup View> and select "Platforms". 5. For N64, SNES, Jaguar, Genesis, and Sega 32X, you need to download the game cart images AND you need to set your LaunchBox settings so your fallback images are disabled for this, otherwise when you have a missing game cart image it will pull something else and look...bad. LaunchBox Options>Legacy>Images>Cart Front Priorities>Uncheck all but "Cart - Front" 6. To enable a the "Wall View", change BigBox Options>Views>Games List View>Wall View. Switch it back to "Text List with Details" if you decide to go back. Advanced Retro Console Version 3. This has a more difficult and time consuming setup process but might be worth it once completed. The goal behind this theme is to make an entire eco system that matches in style, effect and overall feel. On this page you will find everything you need to build exactly that including the Theme itself(multiple versions), startup and shutdown theme, pause theme, sound pack, BigBox startup video and more. I will continue to support this for as long as humanly possible and will continue to improve or add new features as they become available but I will not be making any more new versions. My goal here is just to simplify my work time and allow this one to become the best overall. I also want to add a thank you right now for all the hard work from @y2guru. Without his Community Theme Creator, none of this would exist. There are several more who deserve credit for helping and contributing to this project such as @faeran and of course Jason for building the whole thing. That being said lets get to all the new stuff! I added several new Platform views for the ones I play the most. They are NOT meant to be exact in anyway, just meant to replicate each console enough to feel nostagic. I made logo packs for every single platform I have which is over 80 right now. This version of the theme will only use these custom logos. It is made to be specific to this theme and to match in style. These are avilable on a seperate download page here: Click Here Added a new wall view. Simple but sweet and clean. I cleaned up all animations and simplified some to make it more helpful rather than intrusive (hopefully)! New Controller Matching button packs are available. Added a new Banner location and created custom banners for those views. Several have been made already and are available on a separate download page here: Click Here Finally made a new Dark version for each and every part including the startup and pause themes. Also, finally figured out how to get the Category and Playlist views to work properly. (you can find the custom logos for those views on this page including the collection logos) You will need the following files: Game Logo Packs: Click Here (or make your own) Banner Image Packs: Click Here (or make your own) Custom Platform Logo Packs: Found on this page (each file name matches the platform name) Step by Step Setup: Download the Theme itself. There are 2 versions, dark or light. Download the startup theme to match, dark or light. Download the pause theme to match, dark or light. Download controller button pack(s) if not using an Xbox controller. Download the sound pack if wanted. Download the startup video for BigBox also if wanted. Download all the console specific logo packs. The files are named after the platform or console itself. (ex: for PS1 download the โ€˜Sony Playstation.zipโ€™) This theme has custom views made for some consoles, listed below, and these are the required logo packs for those to work. Download platform logos. (these are for the main platform view) Download platform category logos. (these are the main logos for categories such as genres, playmodes etc.) Download playlist logos. (these are for all playlists such as Arcade Action or Arcade All Games, etc.) Download collection playlist logos. (these are for all your custom collections such as 19xx or mario or 007, etc. Over 1700 logos in here.) Follow the links below and download a logo pack for each console and platform you have in your setup or download my Retro Console Logo Creator.zip and make your own set to match. Finally, follow all the steps below to make sure you put each file in the right place and most importantly, HAVE FUN. If you need help just ask and I will do my best! Instructions and File Locations: (all logo packs, etc: are placed within the theme folder, you must install this theme for any of them to work) NOTE: in the examples below I am using the 'Retro Console Light V3' theme as an example. If you are using the 'Retro Console Dark V3' then please replace that part as needed. Platform Logos(on this page) : Please place these inside this folder: ?:\LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Platforms\Custom Images 1\ Custom Platform View Logos(on this page) : ?:\LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 3\ Custom Banner Images(found here) : ?:\LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 2\ Game Clear Logos(found here) : ?:\LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 1\ Once each pack is installed you will be able to run this theme the same as it is in the video above. The custom Banner packs are not required, but the rest are. While using the new logo packs you may find that your game list is different or you just want to make some of your own. @faeran has made a video tutorial on how to use the new Custom Image Creator to make your own logos. It is very good. If you want to make your own logo packs for any of the views in my theme, watch his video and then download the file, 'Retro Console Logo Creator.zip'. found on this page. All the files you need to make each one exactly are included, even for the custom platform views and the banners. How to make your own custom logos for this theme: Click Here (watch first and then return here and follow the instructions below) Once you get an understanding and are setup to go you can follow these instructions to make matching logo sets from your own collections for this theme: So once you open the logo creator file (that you got from here) in the community theme creator, you need to select the platform that you want to make logos for from the left panel at the top (3rd drop down) and then you will notice a long string of dots toward the bottom of the screen from left to right and centered just above the box that offers 2 or 3 options such as 'Theme, Platform and Game'. Use the following for each sub type of logo you want to make: Platform Logos: Use the first dot for these and select 'Theme' from the box below. (Put these in the 'images/Platforms/Custom Images 1' folder within this theme) Game Logos: Make sure to select the correct platform from the menu(panel) on the left. Then use the second dot and choose 'Theme' from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 1' folder within this theme) Custom Platform View (game logos): Use the same instructions above but select the 6th dot and choose 'Platform from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 3' folder within this theme) Custom Banners: Use the same instructions above but select the 4th dot and choose'Platform from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 2' folder within this theme) Now you will be able to make logos for your exact set of games using all of the assets that are in the ones I made so they will match. You now just have to select the Hamburger Icon form the menu at the top of the screen and then hover over 'Render Custom Images', now select 'All Games for Selected Platform' from the menu that pops out. Once you have completed making your set you will need to go and get that whole folder of logos you just made and move them to the 'Retro Console' theme folder in the 'Custom Images 3' folder with the others. Remember, each platform logo set needs to be in a folder that exactly matches your Platform name as it appears in your LaunchBox setup. How to make your own custom Platform Category and Playlist logos for this theme: (the ones I made are boring but they work and fit with the theme very well) Same as above except for: Make sure to select either 'Platform Categories' or 'Playlists' from the second dropdown on the left panel at the top. And then select the first dot for each at the bottom center portion in the editor. Once selected, click the hamburger menu icon at the top left and select "render Custom Images' and then select the appropriate option. Here is a video clip of all the new custom platform views: Downloads on this page: Retro Console Dark or Light V3 = The main theme files need. Just choose dark or light or both. Retro Console Pause Dark or Light = Just what you think, this is the pause theme for each version. Retro Console Startup Dark or Light = This is the startup and shutdown theme for each version. All controller button packs = These are meant to replace the ones I use with whatever controller you use on your system. Almost every view has these somewhere. Obviously just download the ones you want . To install just unzip to the following location: ?/LaunchBox/Themes/Retro Console (Dark or Light)/media/buttons/. Make sure to overright them. Sound Pack = Just the sounds I use incase you want them. Startup Video = This is the startup video I made for this theme. Enjoy! Platform original boot videos = These are short video clips of the original startup sequence for every platform I could find. They are used in only one view but it is pretty cool and nostalgic. All Platform named logo packs are for the custom platform views only. The ones in the screenshots. To install you must unzip and upload to: \LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 3\ Super Nintendo Entertainment System.zip Sony Playstation.zip Sony Playstation 2.zip Sony Playstation 3.zip Sega Genesis.zip Nintendo 64.zip Nintendo 64DD.zip Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Gamecube.zip Nintendo Wii.zip Nintendo Wii U.zip Nintendo Switch.zip (still to come) Microsoft Xbox.zip Microsoft Xbox 360.zip Microsoft Xbox One.zip (still to come) Pinball FX2.zip Pinball FX3.zip Sega Dreamcast.zip Turbografx-16 Platform logos = All platform logos for this theme. (Required) Thes go into the following: \LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Platforms\Custom Images 1\. If folder does not exist please make one and remember if using the dark version to change that part. Platform Category Logos = These are for the platform category views only. If you use this view then you will need these for sure. Playlist Logos = This is a large pack of playlists logos and includes custom playlists like collections, etc. Also needed if you intend to use the category views in BigBox.

This was supposed to be a simple flat theme, but evolved into a 2 in 1, so you have the regular view which is flat and sleek and also you have available an optional view (per device) that resemble some classic mini consoles (including consoles that do not have mini versions as of yet). Features of this theme: Simple flat version that runs fast and looks great. No flashy animations that may affect perfomance. Optional "Classic Mini" view for many systems. Every Classic Mini view has it's own background music. Improved original design of some "Classic Mini" (Such as PSX and Genesis). "Classic Mini" style views for consoles that do not have an oficial Mini version (such as PS2, WII, etc.). Platform/console selection with video (you need to download the video first from regular launchbox menu). First version (1.0.1) has most of the more known consoles in "Classic Mini" style: NES, GB, GBC, Sega Master System, SNES, Turbografx, Gega Genesis, N64, PSX, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, WII, WiiU, etc. Recommended configuration: Platform selection Regular GameList ViewOptional "Classic Mini" view . Video of the theme in action (no fancy editing for now) Please follow my channel for updates and related content. If you have any questions, please let me know. P.S.: English is not my first language so I apologise for any mistake. P.S.2: Thanks y2guru for your amazing theme editor.

Hey all, I am back again with another set of carts! Here are all 501official released NTSC Nintendo Game Boy front carts. These are all high-res and much better and more accurate then what is currently out there (The current set actually uses stretched box arts and not cart art). Also unique to this set compared to whats out there is an actual accurate cart template, correct wording "this side out" on the right of the cart compared to the other set, and each cart has its correct DMG number. I have named them using the no-intro naming scheme. When dropping these in your Launchbox build there are a handful that may not auto-load; you will have to manually update your game name in Launchbox. (Now with alternate naming this should correct any issues.) If anyone notices any issues or anything let me know (Especially doing 501 carts... there potentially could be an error with a DMG number but they SHOULD be good.) Enjoy!!!!

For Version 0.220 mamearcade64.exe - Normal Mame with all Mess systems removed, and with NoNags Its recommended to download the full 0.220 official pack and install it, then just overwrite the exe with the replacment, this covers any changes the mame devs may have made to the support files. After you have done this, make sure you copy the folders artwork, ctrlr, cheat, hlsl, ini, folders and the mame.ini file from your original mame folder, and move/copy them to the new install. For those of you on old installs make sure in the mame.ini file you have the following set. Skip_gameinfo 1

It was requested if I would make a set of the PlayStation Japan 3D Boxes using the authentic templates made by @Suprakarma. I have made some modifications to the templates to fit with this set however. This is a collection of 3693 3D Boxes for the Japan Region Original Sony PlayStation. Only four are missing as original artwork for them is unavailable online because they are demo discs. Also included is a folder with 225 3D Boxes that are not in the ReDump rom set. The naming convention is based on the 2019-3-31 ReDump set. A Database is attached. This project was a collaboration between @Aorin, @diskmach and myself and has taken a long time to complete. diskmach was able to work out a way of converting the original covers serial number to real names (with out this the project would never of got started) so then Aorin was able to download and rename the original artwork. I then converted the images to 3D Boxes. Thanks to more help from Aorin, who converted all the covers with missing spines to Japanese names I was able to create Spines in Japanese for about 1200 boxes that there are not scans of. Any corrections that users find may be necessary please leave a comment and I will make the corrections in later releases. Sony PlayStation - Japan.xml

This is a template you can use to generate custom marquee images with the amazing 'Community Theme Creator for Big Box', the examples you see are generated in a 21:9 ratio as I use a secondary 21:9 marquee monitor, you can however easily change the template to any ratio or other changes you want. The reason I don't include the generated images is because I don't have complete sets, just custom edited selections. The results will depend to what media you have gathered for your games. I used the following image categories to create these: Box Front, Box Back, Box 3D, Clear Logo, Cart Front. ===How to use=== 1. Install this to the My Theme Projects folder in the Community Theme Creator folder. 2. Select this theme in CTC (short for Community Theme Creator), go to the "Create and Modify Custom Images" icon (the painter palette icon next to the eye icon) 3. Click edit view if you want to change anything (I'm too lazy to explain the way this works, please see other threads and videos to learn how to use this) if not skip this step. 4. Go to Menu > Render Custom Images > Uncheck Save Games to ID Database if you like to use game titles as file names instead of database number. 5. Pick your render selection 6. Once rendered go to "COMMUNITY Theme Creator for BigBox\My Theme Projects\Marquee Generator\Custom Images\Custom Images 1\Games" here you'll find the render results. 7. To use these images as marquees in Big Box create or move the images to it's subfolders inside Launchbox\Images\*Platform name of choice*\Arcade - Marquee 8. Enjoy! and don't forget to thank @y2guru for his amazing software that makes all of this possible.

Hi all, I've been wanting to create a big box set for a while now and thought the Atari ST would be a good place to start, as it seemed to have the least amount of media available for it. Most of the boxes have been created from box scans taken from other platforms, such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, and DOS. As such a lot of the boxes should be able to re-used or easily converted back to those systems. To try and stay as accurate as possible, I've only created boxes for games that I've found a clear scan of the box spine for, or that I could easily recreate myself in Photoshop. This is still a WIP, so if anyone has any missing scans of boxes (with box spines) then please send my way. Enjoy!

This is a Basic Platform Clear Logo Set containing over 500 clear logos. It contains platform, platform category, playlist and a few third-party clear logos. There is variations of some platform clear logos as well. This set works well with themes that have light coloured backgrounds and i have also made an alternate white version for themes that have dark coloured backgrounds. Back with yet another nice set. The current Game Boy Advance sets that I see out there are all compiled from different resources that have different coloring for the GBA side label, and include different sizes and varying qualities. This set eliminates all of that. I have mad a full NTSC accurate and uniform high res GBA front box art set. Included are all 986 NTSC box fronts. A count of USA 948 + Game bundles 38 = 986 boxes. I have named them using the no-intro naming scheme. When dropping these in your Launchbox build. There are a few boxes that may not auto-load; you will have to manually update your game name in Launchbox using the new alternate naming. I also want to note there is a possiblity of two more boxes getting added in a revision, they are the the following: 4 Games on One Game Pak (Nickelodeon Movies) (USA) 4 Games on One Game Pak (Nicktoons) (USA) Just waiting on official confirmation these were licensed and released in the USA. Version 1.1 will be posted if that is the case. Enjoy!

A Catalog of past Theme Streams can be found on the forums here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/54760-retro-faerans-theme-stream-big-box-theme-creation/ This theme only works on version 10.15 and above due to its reliance on some new bindings! Retrotastic I recreated my Retrotastic theme in the theme creator. This was an ambitious project, but one that was well worth it. It still has all the fun of the original theme, with over 150 platform specific backgrounds and a plethora of game specific backgrounds and graphics to play around with. This brings the theme up to a new, modern standard that includes many performance benefits. I also managed to tweak the views here and there to make the theme snappier. Please enjoy this new version, along with the COMMUNITY Theme Creator project files for you to play around with and create your own version of my theme. This is a Pause theme for use with CriticalCid's Unified theme. The theme will pull its Platform background and clear logo images from CriticalCid's Unified theme folder so it will not work properly without the theme being installed. The theme was designed for 16:9 screens and display resolutions only. I have made 2 versions of the pause theme, one will display the box and cart art and the other will display the controller layout for the system being used. I have also included the .PSD template for the controller layout so you can create your own. Installation: Box Art pause theme: Extract the archive and drag the 'Unified' folder inside to the "..\Launchbox\PauseThemes\" folder. Install the font supplied in Font folder. Launch BigBox and go into -> Options -> Game Pause -> Pause Theme and change the Theme to "Unified". Controls pause theme: Extract the archive and drag the 'Unified' folder inside to the "..\Launchbox\PauseThemes\" folder. Drag the 'Game Controls' folder from the 'Controls' folder you want to use, to the "..\Launchbox\Images\" folder. Install the font supplied in Font folder. Launch BigBox and go into -> Options -> Game Pause -> Pause Theme and change the Theme to "Unified". IMPORTANT: Never rename the theme folder! The theme folder has to be named exactly "Unified" or the theme won't work properly! NOTE: All images must be placed in a specific folder structure and follow a standard LaunchBox naming convention to work with this pause theme. All platform specific control images must be named as the platform in your set-up is named and placed in the "..\Launchbox\Images\Game Controls\" folder. All game specific control images must be named as the LaunchBox Database ID and be placed inside a folder that is named as the platform in your set-up is named and the folder must be placed in the "..\Launchbox\Images\Game Controls\" folder. I have also made a Startup and Shutdown Theme to go with the Unifed theme to complete the setup.

Here you will find 154 covers for the 3DO in 2 flavours. 1: With Spine (3DO Custom.zip) 2: Without Spine (3DO No Spine.zip) 3: Templates To create New Or Missing Covers (Template.zip) * Covers are .PNG format.* * Covers are the following dimensions - (With Spine 1539x2156) (No Spine 1197x2156)* * You will need Winrar, Winzip or 7-Zip to extract the ".zip" file you download containing the images. * This took me several months of 16 plus hour days to complete. I don't have a clue what I'm doing and was high most of the time. I did this project because I wanted to do something special for my good friend. One of his favourite memories was renting a 3DO from a tiny corner store/video shop and playing Road Rash. Some of my fondest memories come from gaming as well. The images found were sources from all over the net. Many were pre-made covers that were found in various places. Many were from ebay amazon photos on blogs etc... A large bunch are also made from scratch to fill a void. Using skewed box images or multiple box pictures. A bunch of text I tried to recreate and some are my best shot at recreations. Some titles I could not source any good images for. This is NOT an accurate collection by any means. I hope you guys find this useful until someone is able to make a very nice accurate one. Please if you download this take a second to say Hi and comment. Be safe all. djweevil

Ok, here is version 2 of my Retro Console Theme. This is a MASSIVE overhaul and Includes ANIMATIONS. Thanks to @y2guru and his unending support and development of the 'Community Theme Creator', which now offers an animation tool, I was able to completely rebuild this theme and make it the way I originally intended. Thank You as always my man! * Language issues have been fixed. Should work now! 5-1-2020 The original theme without animations can be found here: Retro Console Version 1 Pretty much every single view has been redone with at least more flare and details, but some of them are totally re-imagined. I have also added several new views and many more platform specific views. All with animations, subtle but informative (hopefully). One of the game views that has a smaller monitor window on the right side of the screen now plays a video in a loop of the matching consoles original startup or boot screen. Not all are included as I have not been able to find them on YouTube. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on where to look for more, would be very helpful! NEW: Playmode Icons - All custom and added all over the theme. NEW: I made a new view that is intended for use with newer consoles like PS3 and XBOX360. Looks good but does not require as much artwork since there is not much available yet. NEW: New version available, "Retro Console Theme Anim V2-center videos.zip". This version is designed to let users select a platform video set other than the Nostalgia set that I have been using. It is much better for center aligned videos. ALSO NEW are several controller button packs that can be swapped out to match your setup. These include 4 buttons each and are color coded throughout the theme: GREEN = Select RED = Back Blue = Search Yellow = Game info screen To use these you should just download the pack you want and drop it in the following folder: ?\LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Theme Anim V2\Media\buttons\. Make sure to overwrite the existing ones. controller buttons - arcade.zip: This is a set of generic arcade buttons that can be used for any setup. Just colored and round. controller buttons - numbered.zip: This is a set of numbered controller buttons (1 - 4) for controllers that have numbered buttons. controller buttons - ps3.zip: This is a set of PlayStation controller buttons controller buttons - xbox.zip: This is a set of Microsoft XBOX controller buttons I will gladly take any requests for additional controller buttons as long as they don't require changing the theme. (max of 4 buttons in a pack) ALSO: @Wanderer189 has made a huge contribution to this theme in the form of several downloadable add-on packs full of clear logos for each platform. These include literally thousands of logos made for each Genre, Playmode, ETC. This is an amazing thing and I thank you for your hard work Wanderer. You are awesome. If you would like to get these logos for your setup they can be found here: What is this theme: This is a video snap based BigBox theme. Heavily designed around the use and display of video snaps. This theme has over a hundred views including one that offers a different look for each platform including handhelds. There is a large amount of custom graphics and logos and images and icons etc. Hence the large file size. Use the startup and pause themes to complete the seamless setup. (also included here) All icons including stars for 'consumer ratings' and 'ESRB rating' and the new 'playmode icons' are custom and included in the theme file. Use them all you want. I am using the nostalgia platform videos and these are perfect for this theme. I may make my own someday but for now these are Great. @Wanderer189 is currently making videos for every genre and playmode. (you are awesome buddy, thank you so much for all your hard work and contributions to this and other themes) Available Downloads: Retro Console Theme Anim V2.zip - This is the entire theme including platform and platform device logos as well as all icons so you don't have to download them individually. This does not include the startup video, startup or pause themes, collection logos, etc. Retro Console Theme Anim V2-center videos.zip - This an alternate version of the theme. This version is designed to let users select a platform video set other than the Nostalgia set that I have been using. It is much better for center aligned platform videos. controller buttons - arcade.zip - Arcade panel based controller buttons controller buttons - numbered.zip - Number based controller buttons controller buttons - ps3.zip - PlayStation based controller buttons controller buttons - xbox.zip - XBOX based controller buttons Retro-Console-Pause.zip - The pause theme I made also to match this theme. (screens below) Retro-Console-Startup.zip - The startup and shutdown theme I made to match with this theme. (screens below) Platform Clear Logos.zip - Included in the theme download but also here in case you just want them alone. These were made specifically for this theme. Platform Device Logos.zip - Also made for this theme for the platform view that uses device images. Collection Device Logos.zip - Made to match this theme for the platform view that uses device images for each collection I use. I can make more upon request. Collection Logos.zip - Same as the platform logos. Made to match so they can be used in this theme. Platform Categories.zip - A bunch of category logos also made to match this theme. Startup Video.zip - A startup video I made just to add to the overall completeness of the theme. Not at all necessary but here if you want it. Retro Console Sound Pack.zip - Again not required but here if you want it. This is what i use in the video below. Just unzip it to your launchbox sounds folder and then select it in BigBox. Platform Original Boot Videos.zip - This is a pack of just the new startuo videos for each console or platform I could find. (included in theme so no need to download unless you want just these) Recommendations: Set your Image priorities in Launchbox as follows - Cart Front ( add disc images to the list - this is used in many views in this theme) Set your startup and shutdown time limits in launchbox settings. (mine are: startup=5 sec and shutdown=3.5 sec) I designed this around the Nostalgia Platform Videos. You can use anything but those will fit and line up best. This theme assumes an xbox controller setup: A=Select, B=Back, X=Search, Y=Game Details and Select Button=Change View (not required) I also set the left bumper to platforms and right bumper to platform categories. (not required but helpful) Get as many Banner, Steam Banner and Marquee images as you can. This theme offers a unique view for all arcade cabinet based games and will use those images. There is also a custom view for systems like Windows that also use them. Future Plans: Create a new view that uses the original loading video from each console. (started on 1-3-2020) DONE Complete the white silhouette console and controller images that are used in the startup theme. DONE Add animations to the theme ( @y2guru is working on this ability for his theme creator as we speak and I will update once it is ready) DONE Make platform videos to match this theme (maybe) - In the works How to Install: Extract Retro Console Theme.zip to your launchbox themes folder. This includes all the platform and device logos you need and will automatically use them. ( In order to use other logos just delete the ones in this theme folder) You can also use the startup and pause themes to add more of a consistent flow. Drop the startup video (if you want it) in the launchbox videos root folder. This theme currently has over 80 different platforms and includes the matching device logos, collection logos, category logos and more but some of these have to be added manually through launchbox (sorry). I can not figure out how to make them automatic. Startup Video: Theme Video: Screenshot System View: Screenshots of each Logo Type: Screenshots - Startup and Shutdown and Pause Theme: Screenshots - Random and Extra Stuff: Screenshots - Random Icons and Controllers Made for This Theme:

Alright I had been working on these for a year now so this first pack is a whooping 1GB (blame my lazyness) and don't worry, other packs will come in the future and be much smaller in scale. I'll update this description later with all the games included but for now there is plenty in here, I'm sure you have some. Of course you'll need @faeran's amazing theme that you can find in the theme manager of Big Box or over here, you'll also find the instruction on how to set these backgrounds for yourself and don't worry, my files are organized to be an easy import Also in this pack, you'll find graphics with no backgrounds and that's because these are my own personnal addons to @Scratcher's already great contributions to this theme which you can find here if you don't already have them IMPORTANT NOTE: A few of my backgrounds use animated graphics as gifs which in the current version of Retrotastic do not show up, Faeran has already mentionned on forums that this will be remedied in a future update so keep in mind that games like Baba is You, South Park: Stick Of Truth and Cuphead will feel empty as a result.

This set is based off of ABeezy's Nintendo Game Boy Advance Carts which was released fairly recently. Beautiful set which includes all USA releases, but unfortunately no Euro exclusives. This set includes most Euro exclusives, and some Japanese translated games I have. I also included the GBA Video titles which are not really games, but cool to have anyway. I did remove a lot of the multi game carts that did not include original releases. Games like 2 Games in 1: Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventures + The Incredibles were excluded because single cart version of these games do exist.
