[Bigbox + Mame + Controller strange issue]

I'm close!

 

How do I turn:

$Joy12:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }

Into something that would work like:

$joy11 && $Joy12:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }

So that it uses R3 and L3.

I'm still fighting to get the controller button combo working.

Launch games from Launchbox/BigBox is great. But when using retroarch as the emulator, when you exit the game, you are still in retroarch. It takes away from the Launchbox experience.

Is there a way that when a game exits, it also exits retroarch?

When using RetroPie, it seems to work that way. 

I'm not sure if I just need to load my games with a certain parameter?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not running MAME or BigBox in Admin. MAME works perfect from LaunchBox.

Hmmm. Trying to think of what other variables could be. LaunchBox and BigBox use mostly the same config, right?

Are you using DS4Windows or InputMapper? If so, you need to run those programs as administrator.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not running any of those programs. Just using Mame and retroarch for mappings

Hi all,

First post, new Bigbox license owner.

When I launch a MAME game from Launch box, it works great with my PS4 controller. I spent the last hour mapping everything. All is good.

However, in Bigbox, when I launch the same game, the controller doesn't work. In MAME, when I press TAB and edit the controls, and I try to map the control to my controller, it's not sensing I pressed a button.

 

For example, I select P1 UP, I press enter, and then UP on the controller.... nothing... 

I quit Bigbox, boot Launchbox, and it works perfect.

 

Any ideas?
