[BigBox Crashing in Main Menu]

It was yes. Didn't matter which theme I installed nor how many accommodations I made in the settings, kept freezing when I would switch consoles in the platform view of the main menu. I saw others were having the issue a few years ago and was trying literally everything I could think of.

UPDATE & FIX: Clean (actually clean) install. I downloaded the latest stable release, at the time 10.0, and installed it to a completely different directory/drive. Moved all of my roms and emulators to a folder internal to the Launchbox directory, and rebuilt my library from the ground up (imports, metadata, etc). Low and behold, it works! It still hangs up for about a half second when my background music kicks in, but as opposed to completely freezing and crashing, it catches and fixes itself and runs smoothly from then on. I can switch between consoles and platforms freely. Very happy as I spent 3 days troubleshooting this.

Thanks for checking in though Retro. For those who may also have this problem, there is hope and when you get it working properly, big box is sweeeeeeet.

[BigBox Crashing in Main Menu]

Hi all, so I've read up on the forums with Bigbox crashing and I've yet to find a solution for myself. I have a Win10/32GBRAM/I9/GTX1080 with the latest drivers while running the CityHunter2 theme on stable release 10.0 and I can't seem to pinpoint why Bigbox crashes after the startup video, when I start scrolling through platforms. I've tried installing K-Lite codec pack and uninstalling VLC to see if that was it, tried removing all transitions from the options menu, setting the big box app to remove fullscreen optimizations, resetting the bigboxsettings.xml, reinstalling the theme, reinstalling bigbox, turning off all music and sounds, and turning off the smooth wheel. Nothing seems to work. 

I did notice that it only freezes when randomly switching between two platforms, otherwise it's stable. I've attached a log and bbsettings for reference.
