Also maybe adding a bespoke or customizable field for us in case we want to add our own category to sort the games.

I always liked that idea, being able to use customizable fields.

I made once a request in BitBucket to be able to add customizable fields for the URL fields, there's only one for Video and one for Wikipedia, I would like to change the name f.ex. to Hack that would point you to the ROM Hack site instead of Wikipedia.

  2. The D-Pad is absolutely fine to play Mario and Co. I would never use the analog stick for retro stuff, I meant mainly for fighting games because a lot of people are always testing D-Pads with fighting games which I don't play at all, so I cannot comment on that.

  3. The D-Pad is fine, for me, don't know what you expect, but I'm not using it so much, don't play fighting games almost at all. It could definitely be better meaning if they would not have used this "circle" but just 4 single buttons, don't know what it's called.

I know that the D-Pad is very important for a lot of people, but not for me, so I don't really pay attention to it.

  4. My 2TB 2230 should arrive today, after that I can attack 😄

Although in 3 days my girlfriend's sister, husband and kids come to us on holiday from Finland, so I'm not gonna have much time to get into it, but I'm gonna let you know how it works out.

  5. Ok thanks. I have indeed everything in the LB folder. I think I'm gonna just copy that over, but first without games, images and videos. Then try to move them one by one to set up correctly.

I have my LB NAS backup network drive mapped to the Ally, so copying it over is also easy.

For the file path I will have to change anyway, I wanna put higher end to emulate stuff on internal SSD and all the other lower end stuff on the SD., thus having 2 different file paths.

  6. I got my ROG Ally today, still waiting for my 2TB M.2 2230 to get shipped tomorrow and the 1TB SD is already in to give it as much space as possible.

What would be the best solution to move ones existing setup to a handheld?

With the Odin Pro I had to do everything all over again because of Android, but with Windows it should be far easier. Only the xml files have to be altered as obviously the drive letter will change, but is it as easy as just copy paste all over?

Plus is the existing license still valid or do you need a second one?

  7. Where is this located? Can I access it?

Every time I backup my LB folder it also copies stuff from that recycle bin although it has long been deleted.

  8. I don't really understand what you mean? Clearly you are using games with trainers, so why don't you press the buttons what it shows?

Usually to continue you just press space, or first Y or N if you wanna use trainer or not. Don't need to load all the disks, and btw, Turrican has 2 disks and not 4.

When you need the 2nd disk, the game will anyway let you know when to swap, and then you just go back to the emulator and attach the 2nd disk.

Also the C64 has 2 gameports, if you use the wrong one it's obviously not working, there's on ALT-something key press to swap ports though.

  9. Seems a bit strange to me that you "purchased" several games on several platforms and you cannot keep track of them? How many did you "buy", thousands? I know which games I have and for which platform.

I think a lot of people here have done it manually, the time-consuming way, it's part of the work. You seem to try to make life easier for yourself by asking other people to basically do it for you.

So if I have my games stored in folders named by platform (or even just in one big folder), and Street Fighter exists for several platforms, and I make a search for Street Fighter in Windows Explorer, it will show me all the files for Street Fighter. I use a program called Everything which is a fantastic file search engine.

And btw, some days ago you asked already a similar question.

  10. I was updating, or basically finishing bigger sets like MSX, MSX2 and ZX Spectrum, which involved adding considerate amounts of files in one go, although I only did add them letter by letter.

Even though the process of adding and downloading media was finished, it kept my PC very slow, I didn't check HDD I/Os. Just strange that after the whole process the PC was still "recovering". The moment I closed LB, after 1-2 minutes, everything was running normal again.

I tried now adding around 10 missing PSX games and it didn't happen then.

The speed within LB itself increased drastically, but not only since .NET 6, already before, adding games is very fast, I mean adding 100 games is done in seconds and the downloading media process after that, like downloading 1.000 images is also done in 1 minute or less.

  11. Since the new version my whole PC slows down when LB is open. All of a sudden opening a single archive takes 10-15 seconds, browsing and working in folders takes forever, saving files, everything slows down in general. When I close LB, after 1 minute or so everything works normal speed again. Never witnessed that before.

Although LB only takes up around 2MB of memory.

Could that be an issue with .net 6.0?

Yeah there is nothing special to run CITRA. I also, like DeadVoivod said, don't have Remove "Quotes unchecked."

I actually tested this, enabled quotes and got the exact same message he has.
