  1. Retroarch always frustrates me with how easy it is to "corrupt" the control layout for machines.  Now it's MAME that doesn't want to work correctly. For instance I tried MKII and had messed up mappings where my normal kick buttons were acting like blocks.  Other games had the same issue.  I went and tried to map the controls but now they show as greyed out?  I've not seen this before.  Anyone have any ideas?  I renamed libretro_mame.cfg and that seemed to help some, but when I tried to run a different arcade game the mappings were way off.

    Sega Naomi

    Sega Naomi 2

    Sega System 16

    Sega System 32

    Sega Triforce

That's about all I can think of that you may have missed that's arcade systems.  You can check the mostly complete roms list from the launchbox games database.

  3. *Removed Links*

Great for American Laser Games and Daphne but not free.  Highly recommend them though.

For Type X and Nesica I suggest emuline and another free site... not sure what links I can post here.  I'm sure you can find what you need from there though.

Not sure about archive , sometimes you can also find good romsets there.

  4. Is it possible to have bigbox play theme videos fullscreen but HD videos in a window?  Is there a way to differentiate the two?  Right now both play in a smaller window, but if there is a theme video I'd like it to just play it fullscreen, leaving out the screenshot and boxart if possible as well.

  5. This works and takes 1 argument.

#NoEnv  ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.
; #Warn  ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.
SendMode Input  ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.
SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir%  ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.

    #SingleInstance force
    #MaxHotKeysPerInterval 200

    Run,"C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 1147940 -id=%1%

    Esc::
        Process, Close, 3dSen.exe
        ExitApp
    Return

  6. Just found that [profile id] is a number from 1 - N.  Doesn't seem to correspond to row/column, so have to map each number to the game.

Now just need to find a way to integrate this into an AHK script for launchbox... and kill 3dSen.exe on esc.

  7. I mentioned it in the requests page, not sure if it will get implemented.  For now just go to launchbox games db, go to playstation one  and check game by game, or audit and print the list of games you have them check them off if they are in the db.

I see a couple Platforms you could add.

    1. American Laser Games (singe)

    2. Daphne

    3. Openbor and M.U.G.E.N

    4. If your into pinball, Visual Pinball, Pinball FX2/FX3, Pinball Arcade, and Future Pinball

    5. Sega Model 2 and Sega Model 3.

Ooph missed those :D I do have Daphne and ALG (downloaded the packs from another website for $20, well worth it).  Openbor I have a few titles but could add in a few, it's not a platform right now though, I think I added them under Windows?  Maybe I should separate those out.  As for M.U.G.E.N... not sure, I love fighting games but a lot of those titles just seemed rediculous.  SM2 and SM3 I also missed, have both.  For pinball, I think pinball is probably left to a virtual pinball cab so I've skipped those for now.

  9. Getting close emulating most platforms that suit an arcade cabinet.  Anything I missed?

  10. I've been playing with BigBox themes and I find that I like the look of the default theme except that in the games list mode sometimes the game title screen from a previous selection "sticks" and shows on subsequent selections.  Also I don't like the fact that HD videos from EmuMovies plays fullscreen.  I did find that I could use CriticalZone V2 games list view alongside the default platform view to get very close to what I want.  In CriticalZone V2 the vertical scrolling mode plays HD videos in a smaller 4:3 screen under the box art, this I like.  However for Theme videos I would like them to behave more like the Default theme where they play fullscreen, and maybe after 2 seconds fade out the boxart and details.  I also don't know why the image background seems to be just a fullscreen view of the boxart.  I would like it to behave more like the default theme where it shows fanart backgrounds.

How would I go about doing this?

  11. I personally don't like RHLoader.  I've managed to get most Type X games to run with no problem with typex_config/typex_loader.  When that failed I went to TeknoParrot.  Look for tutorials on how to get the specific game to run, sometimes there are executable patches to run on windows 10, higher resolution, etc.  http://www.emuline.org/ has several tutorials and patches.  Even so there are a few stubborn type-x games I could not load, usually due to a Windows patch that breaks things.  I swear I had King of Fighters Maximum Impact Regulation A working just fine, then suddenly it crashes on load, probably due to a windows patch.

  12. Any game that utilizes digital controls.  I've been able to use PS3, Wii/Wii-U, PSP, PS/PS2, etc games but the library of games is limited to those that are 2D style platformers.  Anything with a keyboard is pretty much a no go as well.  This included Intellivision and Odysee2 and 5200 because most games required the digital keypad.  I did add two USB ports to the front though so I can if needed just use an analog PS2 style gamepad but I still prefer to not put those types of games on the cab.
