  1. Recorded HyperSpin Sega Genesis themes uploading to my folder on the FTP as I'm posting this. I wasn't able to find many themes for this system and that's a shame as there are some real gems to be had on the Genesis. A lot of the links to specific themes over at HS are down and I grabbed what I could find on their FTP. 24 themes in total. If you've got Sega Genesis themes you want converted to video format, feel free to stick them in my folder on the EM FTP. I'll add them in the set. Now on to N64

    Videos are awesome.  Thanks Riffman!

:) Welcome! Glad you found them!

Awesome! Can you do some of the PS2 themes? I know there used to be a theme for Resident Evil Outbreak File 2 which is definitely one I want :)

My plan is to do all consoles and get as many HS themes converted to mp4 format as I can. It's kind of a difficult task as new themes usually pop up daily making it hard to keep up. But to answer your question, yes, PS2 is on my list to do! I'm currently working on N64 with a little over 200 themes (and I just found about 10 more to add to that as I'm typing this post).

I do, but I was trying to find this on the website. Now I realize it's through an FTP client.  Haven't been able to log in successfully but I'll figure it out... thanks!

Circo is in the process of doing a server upgrade so the FTP is currently down at the moment as I had no success logging in :( I'm not sure when exactly he'll have it back online but once it's up and running, you'll find all my themes in my folder. They currently aren't in the download section on the EM site.

Dont wanna ask for too much, but can u upload your Megaman Super Fighting Robot theme also. Your one of the few making art for these fanmade and hacked games and a lot of them deserve the love. Ive pretty much used all the art u have uploaded here since the games u pick seem to be more of what i like. So thanks for taking the time to make em and please dont stop.

Feel free to ask for whatever you want. If I've got it, I certainly don't mind to share with the community. I don't upload to the HyperSpin site much these days since I've made the switch to LaunchBox/BigBox. I have a thread here at LB for custom art/themes for hacks and fan-made games, also @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT has made/compiled a lot of custom art as well and also makes great theme videos. The HS themes are attached. Do you have access to the EmuMovies FTP?

Legend of Zelda, The - Mystery of Solarus (Version 1.11.0).zip

  6. I poked around and didn't see them on the FTP. Would they be somewhere in particular?

They're in my Folder on the FTP so they won't be in the official section until Circo gets around to approving them. Look in: Upload Here>video snap submissions>Riffman81>Video Themes HD

  7. I don't use the LB database for art personally, only for descriptions and that's it. I usually source out my own art or use my HyperSpin sets (I was a HyperSpinner before I was a BigBoxer). So I'm not sure exactly what's going on with the art on the db or whose overseeing/maintaining it.

  9. The "fake/homemade" art was actually made as place holders for some of the wheel art that hasn't been made yet. I don't believe a full set of wheel art has been made for Wonderswan Color (and a few other systems as well) but it's been awhile since I've checked as most of the art originally came from HyperSpin. It's been difficult to find quality scans of boxart and such for some of these systems over the years and that is why generic art was made to kind of act as place holders until the real thing has been made. As I said, it's been awhile since I've checked so I can't say for certain that complete wheel art sets haven't been made for some of these more obscure systems.

  10. I'm a metal guitarist as well! Great to see I'm not alone here :) and I believe Jason Carr plays guitar and has music out there as well. I really need to get my home recording studio back up and running again so I can do new music but having a 7 week old baby girl and 3 teenagers around the house takes up a lot of my time. Still, nice to see more musicians enjoying retro gaming with LaunchBox!!

  11. Hey guys! After my hiatus over the past few months due to real life circumstances, I'm still playing catchup on all the new features added into LB/BB. With that said, I still have a few questions mostly to do with adding new platforms/categories and playlists.

For starters, if a wanted to make a new Category/platform called "Game Series" or something like that and add all of my custom playlists in there such as Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man, etc. How would I go about doing this? I haven't actually made any playlists yet due to the fact that I'm not quite sure how to set them up the way I want.

My next question is related to Creating the missing Arcade sub platforms (Capcom Classics, Nintendo Classics, etc). How exactly does this work? Do I need to have those games already in my Arcade setup? What if I'm missing titles related to those platforms? The reason I ask is because my MAME set is trimmed down quite a bit and I'm not sure everything required to create those missing playlists is there.

If someone could give me a brief rundown of how this stuff works that would be great! All I'm seeing under tools is the option to create the missing Arcade playlists. I don't see anything about creating a new platform/category...
