It worked a couple months ago. I don't think I updated Afterburner since then. I may have and just forgot, though.

Thanks guys... It was Afterburner/RivaTuner... this never gave me a problem before. Think it will be fixed eventually?

Upload your crash log please.
It isn't producing a log, the folder is blank.

Not sure what is up but I reinstalled Launchbox in a new folder and it crashes anytime it tries to play one of the videos when highlighting a game. It also crashes when trying to launch BigBox. Anyone have a clue? Thanks.
EDIT: Here is how I fixed it. Add the .exe files to RivaTuner and turn on Custom Direct3D Support option for them. It doesn't occur with everyone as my friend can play fine with default AfterBurner/RivaTuner settings and it use to work default for me.

Cannot figure it out... use to work.

That could be the case here. I'll try asking in libretro forums soon to see if anyone knows about N64 hacks or this one in particular.
-
I don't know why anyone would want to make rom hacks like this where you have to use PJ64. Unless its too comprehensive to make as a patch.
-
I think the ROM does indeed come with the download because they are using a modified version of the rom with some hair fix or something.
-
I dont think its a patched rom, just a bunch of textures and stuff that go in PJ64 folders. Also a save file. Do you know the best program to use to swap data in n64 roms?
-
Roms are in a roms folder and chds are in a chd folder. That is how the set came on a certain pleasureful domed-chromed site. I just tried moving a chd to the roms folder and it still just loads the DEmul game list without loading the game. They work fine without launchbox.
-
I'm having an issue launching DEmul NAOMI chd files from LaunchBox... but non-chd games work fine. I did not split platforms for GD, just NAOMI and NAOMI 2 platforms and everything seems setup correctly. Does GD Roms /CHDs for NAOMI need to be a separate platform or something? I just wanted all NAOMI 1 in a NAOMI 1 platform, zips and chd games.
-
I'm unfamiliar with Project 64 since I do not use it, but I was wondering if there was a way to turn hacks made for games in PJ64 into actual patches to manually patch the full rom? So that they can be used in RetroArch cores.
The hack in question is for WWF No Mercy and is called WWF Legends 2.1 -

In past times i update the neogeo aes with all the japanese boxart available in the best quality i could find, at least in japanes boxfront is complete, you have work with the western art, many custom cover and very difficult to find the real ones in good quality. Be careful with tgas is really hard to find the real covers and not customized ones for shock boxes and others.
Yeah I noticed. I'll mostly just be adding "reconstructed" western box art, screenshots, and fixing/creating any missing clear logos. As well as updating missing information. I doubt there are many original cover scans, if any at all other than what is already on the database.
Quick question regarding NAOMI. There are games missing in Arcade that are in the NAOMI sections. Should I add them to arcade or should I just wait until they will be merged into it? I just don't want to waste a bunch of time.
-
Alright, I'll update the ARCADE section for NAOMI and CAPCOM games if anything needs improved... and stick to improving the AES section for NeoGeo.

NEOGEO AES NO! It's a different machine than NeoGeo MVS, not the same catalog. It's the same with typex (a typical windows pc) and windows. Diferent platform. You could add flyers and full mvs catalog in arcade and keep the neogeo aes diferent catalog.
I'd rather keep all of them but I'm asking what they plan on doing because I started updating NEO GEO AES and was planning on doing the others too... but not if they are going to delete the platforms.

The ones that we already talked about, and merging the few we talked about. Actually, when all is said and done, there will be more platforms than we currently have.
So NAOMI 1 and 2... CPS 1, 2, and 3 will all be removed? If so, what about Neo Geo AES?

Yes I think Clean install fix it! however i am on 7.4 for now. I guess is more stable/faster.
Why do you say it is more stable and faster? The problem was not the version, just a borked update.
-
Ok, it seems that was the problem. I re-downloaded a fresh 7.5 launchbox from the site here and it works fine now. I guess the clean LaunchBox install I have been updating somehow corrupted Big Box with the most recent update.
MSX2+ and MSX turbo R

Is the MSX2+ platform getting removed from the Database or should we update it? There is only 3 games currently...
It looks like some games need added/moved. It also seems like there should be an "MSX turbo R" platform, since it has a handful of exclusives like MSX2+.
