Finally finished my version 2 cabinet, and it is working awesome. It can play xbox 360, ps4, ps3, launchbox and retropie the video in the link if it works is a modded ps3. Special thanks to brook for building a board that supports thumbsticks!! The main joystick is actually Left thumbstick and the right thumbstick placement works perfectly for playing any game that requires it.
I 3d printed many of the parts, like the voltage usage, usb chargers, power button holder, the circles of the joystick themed (not sure what they are called) and various other parts inside for mounting stuff.
questions and comments welcome.

nice.

It has been forever since I have had time to play with Launchbox, but I will try and get to it in the next couple of weeks. Very busy.
There are some great resources on youtube, but I do recall it being very particular but once Joytokey recognized my joystick it just worked.
I will see if I can copy my profile up here and you can play with it.

No worries, glad it helped you out.

@ETAPRIME this would be a great tutorial video for those who want vector games in all their glory.

dvdbob,
in joytokey you can setup mappings for individual applications. Simply setup a profile for AAE and it will detect when AAE is running and take over joystick control. I kill the joytokey process after the application exits and it works very well. Youtube has videos on how to set this up.

This is a re-post of a thread started on shoryuken forms by jonyfraze. If you are going to build an arcade cab I would wait for this board!
This will be the only board I know of on the market that will provide pin-outs for analog sticks and touch-pad so you to play any emulated console on your arcade cab; Plus you can plug in to ps4 and PS3.
My hope is they update their UFB and it will work with Xbox one, 360 and Wii-U.
Features:
•Plug & Play PS3/PS4/PC (XINPUT)
•3.5mm jack for headphone and mic support (supports game audio and mic input)
•Micro USB Jack
•Additional access to Turbo, LEDs, SOCD, Touch Pad, Analogs, & 20pin connector for inputs.
•Screw Terminals for easy wire connections
•Same size as UFB
•Same low latency performance as previous Brook PCBsPinout:
J1 : USB Port to PS3/PS4/PC[X-input]
J2 : Player LED
J3 : Screw terminal to connect with inputting buttons
J4 : external port to connect with inputting buttons
J5 : Left and Right Analog Stick
J6 : Touch panel
J7 : Turbo function (Key and LED)
J11 : 3.5mm Phone Jack
J12 : Select Stick to map LS/DP/RS
J14 : Enable/Disable Left and Right Analog Stick
J15 : Enable/Disable SOCD functionjonyfraze's review on youtube.

Nice wood (is that maple?) it would almost be a shame to cover it up.
Nice craftsmanship as well, your cuts look pretty much perfect.
On your control panel you may want to rout-out the joysticks so they sit up higher.

I have the same issue.

@Jason Carrand if one could make custom layouts (themes) for marquees that would be awesome too.
-
@Jason Carr not sure if you caught my post on this before but a stretched lcd is basically a 1/3 LCD monitor which has been cut so you only see 1/3 of the monitor but the default display is 1024x768 but the actual size is actually ~1024x253. The settings need to include top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right to cover all possibilities. Making a custom display in windows 10 is a b*tch so this would be best.

This is a basic set of steps required to get this working with the best emulator for vector games.
IT took me a bit to get this going but I think I have a working solution to share.
- First you need to download AAE. http://pages.suddenlink.net/aae/
- Then roms *Hint:TheRomGuru*
- Need JoyToKey (or XPadder). http://joytokey.net/en/download You will need to map all the joystick buttons to keyboard buttons in a new joytokey profile including (start + select to exit use button alias under options). Make it detect the process so it only takes over joystick control when AAE is running.
- When importing make sure you select import duplicates.
- On AAE Emulator settings check use filename only without extension.
If you need screen shots let me know.

For power buttons I used this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ELEWIND-30mm-Lock-switch-With-on-off-symbol-PM301F-11ZE-Y-12V-S-With-on-off/1769383570.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.5VeAjp
You could use the 28mm easily because the ring is actually large and if your buttons are close together it can be an issue.
And it works fine for Raspberry Pi but for PC not so much as you want non-latching for PC but a work around it press then press again as soon as the button lights up.
Also, just a suggestion to everyone go with an 8 button layout for the most compatibility with recent games...I did a seven button layout originally (see Picture) and changed to an 8.
XYLSRS
ABLTRTLT = Left Trigger
RT = Right Trigger
LS = Left Shoulder
RS = Right ShoulderAdditional Buttons Home, Select, Start
I am actually looking to add Left Thumb Stick and Right Thumb Stick to the front of the control panel so that you can full play all games. (see image)
I did buy the PS360+ but quickly found that it is limited because no easy switching of Thumb Sticks and D-Pad. So I will end up using a wired controller and build a case for it to allow quick hook ups this way I can build ones for multi platforms because I also run modded consoles in my cabinet.
I will post pictures of the modifications and power buttons later if you want to see.

I like @ALIE 's suggestion! As well if some type of image or text that would indicate the Region plus an indicator that there are multiples. This will cut down the list and make it way easier scrolling through 1000's of roms.

@Jason Carr here is a good article it will explain how to implement.
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/207642/Video-Shadering-with-Direct-D
Moving forward not sure what Microsoft's plans are but Win2D will expose DirectX functionality without having to know DirectX. https://github.com/Microsoft/Win2D

Thanks, I see you can filter by type as well. Looks like the list needs a Moderator...

Can you point me to the current set of features being worked on. The issues/features database is just a mess right now, which is too bad since if used properly would allow people to vote for features.
-
lordmonkus, thank you for the reply.
Number 5. I think should be a priority.
Number 8. Thank You.
Number 9, it would be better if it was set on the emulator much like rocketlauncher.
Number 10, may not have explained it right or I am still missing something. I would like to import an xml file and then have it compare to the roms I have and then show me what I have vs what I still need to complete the collection.
Number 11, I think everyone will have some opinion of this. Mine is simplicity, if I am using big box in my arcade cab I don't want people messing with settings. Not to mention the controller settings are essentially duplicated because there is for launchbox and for big box.
Another bit of functionality I would love to see and I spent an hour setting up today was the per core configuration for retroarch. If LaunchBox had functionality like emulationstation (retropie) where you setup your controllers and it updates the settings for each emulator....this would be killer.

Just wanted to say an excellent job so far on this product, it has the potential to be great but needs more basic features.
I have included my list just based on my limited exposure to the product and feel free to set me straight if I posted something that is not accurate.
- Have an Issues Database and a Features Database keep them separate. It makes it easier to find and vote on features vs. bugs.
- Transition Animations/Screens - starting and exiting game
- Decompressing Animation/Screen - Show progress with option of cancelling with button press
- Importing Games - Wizard needs a back button also the option to pause and save progress. Technically it should save every record regardless.
- More Button Mappings using button combinations. Every keyboard shortcut or mouse option should have a matching button combination.
- Platform Images - Neo-Geo and Final Burn Alpha show as Arcade. Would prefer if they grabbed the right platform image or have the option to use "Arcade".
- Custom Bezels - RetroArch and RocketLauncher have this functionality would like to see one solution regardless of emulator. And for the love of GOD no TV bezels.
- No Background in LaunchBox. I personally don't like this feature where it uses my desktop background.
- File Extension Filter - sometimes other files exist in the directory when importing roms, ingore them by using only supported file extensions.
- Platform DB - showing all known roms and spellings so can compare what I have vs what is known to exist. This can be a view option in the Roms List.
- Big Box should have no options menu, this should all be controlled in LaunchBox.
- Big Box Start Animation and ability to customize.
- Cover Flow is too slow on large collections. The default view is the most resource efficient.
I know that you (Jason) are not a fan or reproducing functionality that exists elsewhere (like RocketLauncher) by the name kinda implies it is a launcher and therefore needs certain functionality that exists in RocketLauncher.
