  1. Hacks & Fan-Made Clear Logos

    View File

A set of 269 logos I either created or found on the web,for the Hacks & Fan-Made games Platform. These cover every game I currently have on my own system, but, certainly not every hacked game in existence. Much like my PSP mini set,I could not find a set without the rectangle box behind them,so I just created one.

  2. PSP Minis Clear Logo Set

    View File

Never been a big fan of clear logos in the rectangle border...so since I could not locate a set of PSP mini logos without the border,I decided to make them myself. Some were taken from the MAME logo set, some were found on google, but, most were cut out of the existing set,or from a screenshot of the title screen. A few are a bit crude, but, they look good in Big Box,so that was all that mattered to me,as I didn't want to spend too much time on these, with other projects taking higher levels of importance, and it already took me a week to do these. Not much exists for making a minted set of these, unless someone wants to sit and redraw every single one...which I don't. There are 294 logos in this set.

refried new idea.jpgUpdate: Okay, I figured out the video part and that's now taken care of :) However I'm still having trouble with the box artwork (location, size)

This question slipped by me,and I just happened to be perusing the forum to see it...but,if you still want to know, there are 2 ways you can do it...one way is to rewrite the entire grid to incorporate the dimensions of the box art you want, while still keeping the integrity of the rest of the theme (The hard way,but more accurate)...the other way is to use the grid space provided, but nudge it around with margins. I cannot help with grid changes,as it's like writing a whole new theme...but,for using margins you just look for the area in red and fiddle with the numbers...after a while you will understand what it is doing, but, basically the grid locks it down in a precisely measured frame, and the margin tells it how much you want to stretch that object inside,or outside that frame, and in which direction

Do you use your genre videos with the console playlists? .

I do not...but,only because I have big plans for that...

    8 minutes ago, Styphelus said:

I'm assuming there's no way to have Lunchbox play the video for each genre automatically right?

    That's correct

    9 minutes ago, Styphelus said:

Same goes for the genre views.

    Also Correct

  5. Got a new theme for Refried...but,it will not be uploaded to the Theme posting with the others...there is only one way to receive this theme...

Go to my youtube channel...subscribe or be subscribed, and comment and hit like on any video of your choice...then DM me here with your comment, and I will send you the theme...old comments, while appreciated, don't count...it must be a new one:)

    Really simple...

  6. *******1.6.4 Changes

Added a special Christmas Edition of the Default main menu theme for a limited time (will be removed January 1st)

1.Backup your views folder from the "Unified Refried" default theme

2.Unzip the theme and drop both folders into your themes folder, overwriting the necessary files when prompted

3.When you are ready to uninstall the theme,it's as easy as replacing 3 view files from your backed up default views.(A readme.txt file is included with instructions)

    Sorry, now I'm confused.

I'm indeed on Consoles 1.6.1, however I'm using View #2 with the wheel fade for all of my consoles.

The disc-based systems all show spinning discs in View #2 (thankfully the cart systems don't spin). For some reason Nintendo Wii-U game discs do not spin.

This is a bug, or intentional?

Sorry...got some sleep then thought about it

overwrite this one in the views folder of the wii-u addon

Thanks, these look great but where do they go? I created playlists for all my consoles but they are no where to be found in the launchbox folder structure. Launchbox only creates a folder if within launchbox I select each category/genre and click edit. Do i have to do that for every singe one?

    "Launchbox/Images/Playlists"

    "Launchbox/Images/Platform Categories"

I already created the folder structure in the download...just drop the Images folder in your Launchbox install folder, and merge it with your current Images folder, overwriting all the current ones that are there (All Games,Single Player, etc.)

@Jason Carr yep.  @RetroHumanoid, data folder is on its way.

Ok...so I made a boo-boo apparently...in my rush to make sure the new plugin was working perfectly,I forgot that I removed those art files from the release version...and I meant to put them back in before I updated, but,it slipped my mind. That is why copying the addons files over worked. I apologize, and I will upload a version with the borders and backgrounds intact.

updated to 1.62 on refried and arcade. Default them set to Refried, Platform category view/arcade platform.  Should the arcade playlists have the custom video border?  the only view that has it is the text gamelist and it uses the default Arcade border.  example: viewing as Arcade/Fighting. views 1-2 are plain black square.  view 3 is full screen like normal.  view 4 is text list with Arcade video border.

I am not experiencing the same issue at all...Is there any way you can send me your data folder ,so I can get a better idea of how your setup is,and maybe figure out why it works for me but not you.

  11. Auto Generated Playlist Clear Logos

    View File

83 unique playlist logo sets I created to go with the new Auto Generated Playlist feature recently added. These took quite some time to make, considering I had to create entire fonts for some of them (ScummVM,MAME,NEC SuperGrafx, etc.) due to no font existing, and editing similar fonts to resemble the system fonts for others. Each set contains 8 logos covering the following..

    All Games

    Genres

    Favorites

    Play Modes

    Regions

    Single Player

    Multiplayer

    Cooperative

Not every playlist/platform will utilize every logo, but, just for completionist sake,I made them all for each one anyways.

I have organized the file to be drag and drop, but,I still suggest to verify the playlist/platform names before dropping it into your images folder...as some may differ from user to user, and wrongly named files will not show up.

After placing them in the appropriate place, you should also refresh platform clear logos in options as well.

    Example Set:

  12. Theme has been updated...here is some large obnoxious text that I use to avoid questions...

    *******1.6.2 Changes

Added the new plugin as well as new properties, that fix the previous issues with Arcade Playlists displaying the proper artwork when either user created,or nested. The update has been applied to the Default theme,as well as the Arcade theme. The Consoles,Handhelds,Pinball, etc. did not require any changes, and have not received an update. The current versions, with the fixes, are labeled v1.6.2

If you receive an error, please make sure you have unblocked the DLL file in the plugin folder of the theme.

This does Require Launchbox/Big Box Version 9.1 or higher to work

If you are experiencing issues with The playlist functions, please make sure you are using version 1.6 of this theme or above,as well as version 9.1 of Launchbox.

  13. @Jason Carr Ok....

So there actually was exactly 153 characters in the line, and the line ended just after the final " in the code...which is why I was confused by the error, because to me ,the whole thing looked ok..

I found out the problem though. When I CTRL-C copied the code you posted, something weird happened. It wasn't actually visible until I manually pressed the right arrow key through each letter to count them. It placed an invisible spacer in the middle of some words...6 of them to be exact. I had to delete these, but, when I did,it looked as if I was deleting nothing because the cursor didn't move at all...but,it deleted them. I am guessing, since you are pro at coding, you know some term for this strange phenomena, but,I have no idea what happened.

Long story short, after heavy testing,I can say everything is peachy now, with no errors. I reverted all my playlist Auto Generate settings back to default, and it looks good to go. Thanks for fixing the issue !

  14. @Jason Carr So I added the plugin to the folder...unblocked it...added the xmlns line to the usercontrols... and changed my code to this..I added line numbers for reference...

     <!-- BACKGROUND -->

    Line 80:            <PathSelector:PrioritizedPathSelector x:Name="BackgroundFileName" FolderPath="Themes\Unified Refried\Images\Theme\Background" FileExtension=".jpg"
    Line 81:                    Priority1FileName="{Binding FilterTitle}"
    Line 82:                    Priority2FileName="{Binding KnownPlatformOrPlaylistTitle}" />
    Line 83:            <Image x:Name="BackgroundImage" Grid.ColumnSpan="7" Grid.RowSpan="8" Source="{Binding PrioritizedFilePath, ElementName=BackgroundFileName, FallbackValue='pack://siteoforigin:,,,/Themes/Unified                     Refried/Images/Theme/Background/_Default.jpg'}" Opacity="100" Panel.ZIndex="0" Stretch="Fill" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" />

I now get this error message...
