Hello everyone.
Sundogak, thanks for the detailed installation instructions in this thread!!
I have Future Pinball running via big box. Unfortunately, I'm unable to adjust the volume once the table loads. I'm able to adjust volume when running other emulators via big box. Agnone have any suggestions as to why I'm unable to turn up or down the volume in future pinball by using the assigned volume buttons in big box on my arcade cabinet?
Thanks for any suggestions / direction.
You won't be able to use the built in volume commands via LB or BB as once FP takes over it runs exclusively. This is why the LB Pause menu doesn't work either (at least easily).
However, you can try mapping volume commands directly from within FP and see if that works.

I would like to make a 3d box for my arcade titles that don't have media available. Is there a psd template for Retrolust's boxes, or something similar?
There is a Photoshop action file template in his download here under "Arcade 3D Boxes 2.0 Tutorial and Tools.zip"

Hello. My name is Laurent and I'm French. I would like to know if il is possible to have some wheels BUT in carbon version (and not silver). All my whells are in carbon and 2-3 are missing. Thank you for your help (and sorry for my English).
There are some here along with a template inside the zip file. I have seen a few others in the Launchbox download section as well. I don't have a PSD template for carbon ring so not something I can help with.

Both looks splended! I'm leaning towards the one on the right as I noticed some platform clear logo might be too high to fit in that bottom frame. Not sure how it look on all the platform list I listed? Or perhaps sharing the template and I could edit as well? Thanks!
I think this is all of them.

Hey guys, just spent time to compile all the logos uploaded here from page1 till 70 and grouped by categories, enjoy! It's still WIP but the grouping helps me to decide which one to keep for my Unified Bigbox theme. All credits goes to the original uploader/content creators!
I renamed most of the files in _Collection folder because that's the one I used the most. Others might remain unamed.
Thanks for pulling that together. Hopefully that will reduce the requests for logos already completed.

where abouts is bios in mame ?
thanks
Three methods (although you said you had the bios files already):
1) download MAME bios only pack, it will have it in there, or
2) download a split or unmerged MAME set and hod2bios.zip will be in the set, or
3) if have a merged MAME set and don't want to do #1 or #2, then manually or using CLRMAME Pro or similar tool assemble the needed files with appropriate checksums and place in zip file called hod2bios.zip then place in the RA DC directory. They will be in various zip files in merged set such as the Naomi.zip file.

Thanks Mate , think its there but will check
have you got it running on flycast ?
is there a specific Rom version do you know ?
Thanks
Yes, running via flycast RA core. hod2bios.zip I had in DC directory was from 2019 as don't typically update stuff in DC directory. However, I tried it with updated 262 MAME set version bios (in DC directory) and ROM and worked fine.

I think the red looks "cooler". But overall for usability/readability for user control information the gray background is easier to distinguish.

hotd2.zip and hod2bios.zip are needed to run the game with the RA flycast core. Without knowing anymore details hard to say other than works on my system. The hod2bios.zip should be in this directory ..\Retroarch\system\dc

There is an "updates" Folder, but inside there is only a LaunchBox-setup file. Nothing to update eXoDos. And this file do not update eXoDos.
If a newer version than 6.0 still exists, why is nowhere a downloadable file of it?
At eXo's Discord site (under News and Status dated 1/10/24) there is a revised update batch files that goes in the .\eXo\Update\ folder which updates to work with language packs (and also updates to 6.02)

It's having issues with your second disk which I assume is you game disk. It doesn't recognize the disk so wants to format it (erase it). So would try a different disk image or make sure using files from MAME Software List set.

It says right in the error you posted you are missing files. You don't have a complete romset and/or you are not pointing to your full arcade MAME rom set within your MAME.ini.
Edit: If you are using a MAME merged set the files will be here:
If you are using a MAME split set the files will be here:
But again, your repeated issue based on errors above is that you are moving roms around rather than just pointing to your main MAME arcade roms directory with full set of correct roms or you do not have a complete set to begin with.

Hi! Not sure if this is present in core LaunchBox / BigBox but ... is it possible to export a collection (like eg. a System) to a PDF file, with screenshots? For visual reference of available games / systems. Thanks!
List yes, but nothing with screenshot. You would have to convert the text file output to PDF if you want that. Two options, for the second scroll down thread as they made updates later to script.

hi, thanks!
#2: well, i don't find the hacked version yet...as mine version isn't playable, i can delete it, it is useless for me... In any case i tried to change the command line as suggested, but it doesn't start, there are several pop up messages like those:
I added the apple2g1.zip file into the roms folder:
but it seems it doesn't work...
thanks!
I had typo in command above. Should be:
apple2gsr1
Also do not rename any MAME roms. The Apple2GS.zip is all that is needed.

yeah, with MAME 0.262 it works again! Many thanks!
I only have 3 games that still have stange issue.
Alien Mind: strangely it doens't save the 2nd disk game and i don't know how to save it again. I tired to add 2nd disk both in Read only or read-write mode,
but after the title screen, there is the sound "tac-tac-tac" for some seconds and then black screen...if i reboot the game, the 2nd disk game is still missing:
2) Future Shock 3D: in order to run the game it is necessary to double click on FS.SYS16
but now i'm not able anymore to retunr to the previous screen...:
3) Out of this world: it requires both the System Disk image anche Disk 1 and DIsk 2. But i don't know how to set up the 2nd disk:
thank you!
For #2 question, that game looks to have system files (ProDos and System folder) so should boot without a system disk. At least for me, if you run with MAME and get a blue screen with "Error=$ 002E" then you need to switch the Apple IIGS Rom from 3.0 to 1.0. To do this, where you have this in your custom command line
apple2gs
change that to
apple2gsr1
When it boots up the blue screen should say "ROM 1.0" on bottom instead of 3.0
Note you won't be able to play this game to control ball as it required a special "Future Pad" controller. There is a hack version of the game floating about that bypasses it and uses keyboard (the Exo Apple IIGS pack has it).
For #3 question, that is limitation of IIGS just like a real computer of the time. The IIGS by default has two 5.25" drives (-flop1 and -flop2) and two 3.5" drives (-flop3 and -flop4). Thus, you have to use the MAME interface to swap out Game Disk1 in Flop4 with Game Disk 2 and then let it load. More than likely it will ask for Game Disk 1 again and have to load that back into MAME interface. An alternative is to use a hard drive image with system files to boot instead of a floppy image. Then the two floppy drives are available. You can search for a HD image if do Google search for "System 6.0.1 Hard Drive Image ~13.3meg". It will have a "HDV" extension. For hard drive images you have to change the command to run MAME with hard drive to:
apple2gs -sl7 cffa2 -noautosave -gameio joy -ramsize 8M -hard1
the auto install ruined everything!!!

You could revert to your prior install by using the Tools, File Management, Restore Data Backup as LB makes a backup each time it shuts down and starts up. Look for one prior to update and revert. The zip files are stored in the LB\Backups folder.
Also, for existing systems the importer was supposed to be turned off by default (was on mine), so sounds like a bug for you in that case.
