  1. I am having a very strange issue. Today while getting some new games setup I noticed that a lot of my lightgun games in my Sinden playlist had duplicates of most of their additional apps. So I used the Bulk Remove tool and mass removed all of them. The apps I was removing were for starting/stopping the Sinden software at game launch/close. So I used the bulk tool to add the applications back so that the games would only have a single copy as they should. So I added them back, problem solved right? Nope, I checked after restarting LB and noticed that it had doubled additional apps again, so I tested again, this time I just removed all the additional apps, didn't re-add them, so there shouldn't have been additional apps for starting/stopping the sinden software on any of these games. Restarted LB once again, and once again the additonal apps reappeared, and after another LB restart they had once again doubled.Ā

It is not doing this to all games using additional apps, it seems to be Arcade platform games in the Sinden playlist, and not all additional apps are duplicating. This is a very bizarre issue that was not happening previously. Not even sure where to look for what is going on. Any insight and help would be greatly appreciated.

The images attached are of the same game between a single restart, no idea what is happening.

    Thanks

    ****UPDATE*****

I seem to have found the issue, at some point I must have duplicated my Arcade Platform XML, it was labeled Arcade - Copy, and it seems to have been causing the duplicates to happen. I have removed the xml and tested multiple times and now everything seems to be staying correct. Luckily stumbled upon a post that mentioned something with XML causing duplication's and turned out to be the case for me.

The only way to really accomplish this is to create other playlists all the games not in your lightgun playlists. Then you can just organize your Platform Categories filter section with only the playlists you want to see.

Ya that would actually work, make playlists of all the platforms, of just the games I want in each one, then hide the platforms in BB. I will have to play around with it.Ā

Currently no. Any game hidden in a platform will be hidden in a playlist. Are these games in a platform with non-lightgun games?

Reason I ask is in LB you can edit a platform and check the box for "Hide in BigBox". This will hide the platform itself in BB but the games from the platform will still show in Playlists inside BB. Of course, this will not help you if the Sinden and Gun4IR games are in a platform with non-lightgun games.Ā

Ya, unfortunately the 2 playlists are a culmination of multiple platforms, each of which has non Lightgun games in it as well. I had a feeling that this wasnā€™t really possible, but figured it was worth asking.

  4. I have a strange question, would it be/is it possible to hide games from a Platform, but have them still visible in a playlist? This would be useful to me because I have both a Sinden Lightgun and Gun4Ir Lightgun playlist, and since each game requires different bezels to load, different installs of demulshooter, etc... The easiest way to do it was to have duplicates of each game added, each with their appropriate additional apps loading with them. I would love to be able to hide the games from Sinden or Gun4Ir in the normal Platforms games list, but still have the games show up in the Playlist I have created. Not sure if this is possible, it would just cleanup the way my LB/BB looks a little.Ā

I originally was going to have Gun4Ir load as a Platform and not a playlist, and just add all the games to that separately, the only issue with that was with LEDBlinky, I would have had to adjust all of the games individually pretty much, and that was just going to take forever. If LEDBlinky ever comes out with a way of bulk importing/exporting games from one platform to another, this would resolve my issue, but for the time being, I didn't want to deal with doing each game 1 by 1.

Thanks for any help/advice you have in advance!

  5. So Iā€™m not sure where the best spot to post this question is. But my cab is setup with 2 sinden light guns and I have 2 (soon to be 3) Gun4Ir light guns. What I am wanting to do is have 2 light gun playlists, 1 for sinden, 1 for Gun4Ir. I really just need to be able to load the games with separate scripts/versions of emulators so that the guns are all mapped and working correctly in their respective playlists.

Was curious if there was a way to duplicate games to create a new playlist with, or if it would be easiest to import a duplicate of each game and setup the playlists that way.

Just trying to find the simplest solution.

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

We have added logic to correct Rom import when importing MAME files in the most recent beta (11.18 beta 1). If not already on it, I would opt into the beta and try again.

Updated to the beta and tried importing again, same issue, seems I have to select something other than Mame as the emulator for them to import properly. Not sure what's causing the issue. Luckily it's only a couple games.

  7. Iā€™ve been trying to import some new games to my arcade platform, but no matter what file I select, once I go through all the import options, when I get to the end where it shows all the files that are going to be imported nothing shows up.

But if I select the same files and select something other than arcade as the platform they import just fine. Not sure what is stopping them from importing, itā€™s almost like the platform thinks theyā€™re already imported?

Only thing I can think is that when I first setup the Arcade platform I imported a full mame set, but have since deleted the vast majority of them from Launchbox.

  8. Ya Iā€™m going to try and see if I can figure out a way to get it working properly with everything, might just try compiling the ahk and see if that makes a difference, seems like itā€™s a timing thing possibly, something loading to soon/to late that causes the issue one way or the other. Not a huge deal either way in the end

  9. After doing some testing I think that it isn't so much the ahk that is causing my issue with the shutdown screen, it is something to do with the way the ahk is loading the bezel and the emulator. I am only running into these issues with the handful of NES (using Mesen launched via ahk), SNES (using SNES9x launched via ahk) and PS1 (duckstation launched via ahk) games, these are all lightgun games I am setting up with the Sinden Bezel packs. It seems that the way the bezel packs load the bezels for these systems interferes with something in the Startup and Shutdown screen, for NES and PS1 I have to override the default Startup/Shutdown screen and set the Load Delay to about 1 second, if I go any higher than 1.5 seconds, the bezel will load but the game is behind everything and clicking just takes focus away from the game as a whole, setting it to 1 second the game loads properly with the Bezel, but the Shutdown Screen doesn't work. Also, ticking the "hide everything not in exclusive fullscreen" box, creates the same issue as setting the load delay to high, the bezel loads, but the game is behind everything. The exact same pattern is present with SNES games, the only difference being that the load delay has to be set between 0 and 0.25, anything higher and it was showing the bezel and hiding the game.

The issue is definitely linked to the ahk, I have tested the ahk with and without the portions the load the bezel and the issue persists either way. Not really sure where to start for a solution, in the end its not a huge deal, its just a handful of games without shutdown screens.

Just ran a quick test, and I do see shutdown screensĀ working, but you would need to set the Startup Load Delay higher than 0 seconds. Are you able to see if that makes any difference for your setup?

I have some games set higher than 0 and some at 0, same issue either way for me, I did not test a non ahk game above 0 though, so tonight I will test that. Could very well be linked to the way the game closes with ahk still.Ā

  11. @faeranĀ Thanks for all the help. I got it all sorted. Was actually pretty simple once you pointed me in the right direction with your first response. I added the Wheel and Pointer sections from the Unified theme XAML, but I also replaced the grid info in the Refried theme with the Unified grid info. Then it was just a matter of adjusting a couple little things so that the upper and lower ā€œglassā€ extended to the end of the screen (I think I had to change the row or column setting from 7 to 8 or something like that). End result is exactly what I wanted, Iā€™ll attach a couple images. Perfect blend of the 2 themes.Ā

  12. Not sure if this has been reported, or where the proper place to report it is. I discovered that if you edit a individual game and choose to "override the default startup screen settings" even if you enable the startup screen and the shutdown screen, only the startup screen works, when you exit the game it doesn't bring up the shutdown screen.

At first I thought it was just happening with the lightgun games I have setup launching with AHK, but decided to test it with games that don't use ahk. Same issue was present for both. Not sure if this is something that has been reported or not, seems like the "enable shutdown screen" just isn't working though.

  13. So I got what I want like 95%, what I canā€™t for the life of me figure out is how to get the game logos to move slightly to the left next to the pointer, so that the largest logos touch just the tip of the pointer instead of over lapping. Iā€™ve tried messing with the grid column and grid row, as well as the camera position. But I either end up with way to big, or way to small logos. Iā€™ll attach a picture of what Iā€™ve got, if I could just get the logos over slightly it would be perfect for what I want.Ā

  14. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I would like to combine the curved wheel with pointer from the Unified theme, with the background (with addons) of the Unified Refried theme, my attempts to combine them have resulted in errors. Not really sure where to start with it, seems like it would likely be pretty simple to someone who knows what theyā€™re looking atĀ

  15. I am running into a issue with Teknoparrot, some games launch right from LB/BB, and others just launch the Teknoparrot GUI but don't load the game. I have them all imported and launching using their xml's from the UserProfile folder in TP, 2Spicy works perfect, same with HOTD4 and others, but then games like Far Cry Paradise Lost, Rambo and others just launch the TP gui, but don't load the game. Not sure what the issue is.

Was also curious if anyone knows how to hide the TP "Game Running" screen so that it doesn't come to the front and appear in front of the game on launch. Some games have worked by adding "--startMinimized" to the commandline parameters, but not all.

    Any help is appreciated!

  16. Iā€™m getting Steam games setup, and Iā€™m having to use Xarcade-Xinput to convert my keyboard to xinput to play fighting games on my cabinet sticks.Ā
    Ā

I currently have a script to launch the game and keep LEDBlinky having the buttons lit correctly, and a script to close the game and XArcade-Xinput at the same time. The issue Iā€™m having is when I close the game the lights donā€™t change back. Arzoo replied to a comment saying I need to send a ā€œGameQuit (4)ā€ command in order to have the lights revert back to the front end lights. Iā€™m not sure how to add that command into the script that closes the game. Any idea how to do this?Ā

  17. I wanted to see if anyone here has any suggestions for a few issues I am running into. I have a arcade cabinet, I run it off an IPac Ultimate board. I have all my console games and emulators working great alongside LEDBlinky, but then I decided to add PC games into the cab and have started running into some issues, specifically with Steam games.

The first issue I have ran into, and KINDA resolved. I want to be able to use my cabinet sticks and buttons for newer fighting games (DB FighterZ, SFV, MKX, MK11, etc...) the issue I found, and I'm sure others reading this will have found too, is that most of these newer games only support 1 player on a keyboard, or xinput controllers. The workaround I have found the works, but with other setbacks is running "Xarcade-Xinput" which works great, except I have to unplug all the Xbox controllers I had plugged into my cab for consoles that required a controller. I have to unplug them because Windows 10 doesn't necessarily load your devices in the right order, so if I have the controllers plugged in when I run Xarcade-Xinput, they end up loading as 2 random controllers, the only way I have found the works to make sure they load properly is to have all the other controllers unplugged, not the end of the world if this is what I have to do, but if anyone has any other options for making my sticks work in those games without using "Xarcade-Xinput" I'm all ears to try new things.

    Ā

The second, and more annoying issue is running steam games with LEDBlinky. I haven't tested all of my games, but I ran into this issue with DB Fighterz, when you launch the game the lights will flicker on real quick and then go right back to my Launchbox active controls being lit up. I found a ahk script that works awesome at getting the lights on for the game, but the issue is when I quit the game the lights don't revert back to the Launchbox active lights. Here is my ahk:

Ā ; Create a shortcut from steam to the game you want to play and replace XXXXXX with the game id from that shortcut. Copy the game id below and then delete the shortcut you just created.
    Run, steam://rungameid/678950

; Sleep a few seconds to wait for it to activate. This may not be needed, it's
; just to be certain it's good to go.
    Sleep, 5000

; Use the window title since the game launches additional exe.
; This will wait for the window to exist, then wait for it to close.
    WinWait, DRAGON_BALL_FIGHTERZ
    WinWaitClose

; Shut off the splash image, if any.
    SplashImage, Off

    ExitApp

    Ā

I'm not sure if there is something I need to add in order to get the lights to change back, or if there is a better way to get LEDBlinky and Steam games to work together. I'm all ears for any suggestions!

    Thanks!

  18. Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but we will see. I am getting all my light gun games setup in anticipation of receiving my Sinden, and I have most everything setup, except PCSX2, I have run into a issue. I currently have 2 pedals to use for games like Time Crisis, and I have them working for every game except my PS2 games. I can't figure out how to make them work. I have the pedals mapped to "t" and "y" and this has been fine for everything else. But I can't figure out if I can make them work in conjunction with the nuvee plugin. Does nuvee just use the api buttons that it is configured with (currently my mouse) or is there something I can add to the ahk script to have the pedal work in its place? I found a tutorials for someone who got it working with the infinity pedal, but unfortunately I do not have that (but may have to get it...). Any help would be great! Thanks!
