Ah I see, ok, got that all set up and working... except with no sound. This seems crazy insanely harder to setup than it should be. I spent 2 hours reading up on other forums downloading multiple "fixes" and things. I'll be happy if I can get this and the mario kart game working.

This emulation is still in it's infancy and can only improve with time. Its trial and error for most of us ATM.

    Happy gaming mate.

I got that part, now I've got another error. A box pops up saying "IO Error: Libraly" I click ok and the game starts to boot, but then asks for test switch to be pressed. I'm pressing what I have mapped in the game settings, but nothing happens. I went into the game's readme and it says t is the test, so I hit T to get into the test menu. the I/O stuff needs to be set I guess, the steering and gas and brake. the controller doesn't work at all, so I have to use the keyboard. The arrows should be steering left and right, and Gas = Space bar and Brake = Ctrl. Yet when I try to calibrate, it fails no matter what.

You have pointed technoparrot to the wrong exe ... use the one with original in title then the error will not happen and you will be able to start the game after you have calibrated the controls.

Any tutorials on how to use it?  I got the 1.21 file, opened it up, and it's really a terrible interface, looks like something that was designed by committee back in 2007. I figured out that the rom needs to be unzipped and the emulator needs to have each game configured and it told where the exe for the game is. Once that was done, I chose to boot up Chase HQ 2 and it comes up with error "cannot find parrotloader.exe". I searched through the directory and can't find it. and I searched online and no help is given. Any advice?

EDIT: It seems as though the Teknoparrot got picked up as a really bad file by windows and quarantined it. I restored it, but I hit another snag. Now when running the program it comes up with an error saying I have another emulator running (I don't) and it also wants me to remove a bunch of files in the game directory, but I can't find them.

Delete the files you can find from the list it gives you.... I think it's only 2 that I found ... then it should launch

best to read the technnoparrot forum on configs and such , they usually explain it all

    Took over 5 minutes. I haven't re-run the setup.bat again.

I'm wondering if these particular games just don't have covers. Do they have covers on yours?

Also - does the exoDOS collection have sound or video samples? Don't seem to see any in LB.

exodos does not contain sound or video samples , just scrape msdos metadata with emumovies ;)

  5. NEC Turbografx-CD

    working perfect with MESS

using this command line:  tg16 -cart "H:\NEC - TurboGrafx-CD\Games\[BIOS] Super CD-ROM System (Japan) (v3.0).pce" -cdrm

just point mess to where you have the  Super CD-ROM System (Japan) (v3.0).pce on your hard drive & replace path (it is usually included with full romset)

I agree Saturn is very underated and I grew up with the Sega Master System as my first console so I have huge nostalgia for it .

I think the systems we grew up with will always win over , mine were zx spectrum and Commodore 64 , my kids just laugh at the graphics when I show them... little b***** :D

I'm having issues with it getting achievements for the mega drive.. I think could be trying to use the name genesis instead.

it also doesn't display them for the master system?! could it be a sega issue?

I think it's a sega problem as the achievements have not been fully ironed out for the platform iirc
