It should move the images to the appropriate folder.

You could also click on the LaunchBox ID link (next to the game name) and check the database to see if the image type is mislabeled, and if they are, you can put in a request to correct it.

Was just curious, thats a good tip on the request option. I didn't know that

  2. I setup a new copy of LB and have been downloading a fresh images. Especially in Windows, I have gotten a bunch of cd disc images as Box Front.

My question is this, if I use the context menu and tell LB the image type is "Disc" does it move the image to the appropriate folder or just change the xml file?

I know if I delete theme they are deleted from the folder.

Isn't built into the CTC but you can use the RandomGame binding to access a random game from the platform currently being hovered over.

With the theme I just did, if there are no Platform Videos present it is pulling a random game video. What I was hoping to do, was a overlay on the video its showing to display it's game title on it. Yeah I know, that a bit much haha

  4. I am trying to record a sample of my startup theme. Using OBS to record it. It records everything expect the Exit screen, it is just a black section in the video.

It shows on the monitor every single time.

I disconnect my 2nd monitor to see if that would correct it, it does the same thing.

    Anyone have any ideas???

  5. Generic Television Commercial Platform Videos

    View File

I did a similar set of Television Commercial Platform Videos that had a background & borders and was more designed for themes using video snaps on the right side.
hey have been pretty popular. So I decided to do a generic set without the borders and backgrounds.

Some of the screenshots are more blurry than the actual videos. Keep in mind, Television was 480 and over-the-air back then. These things are really hard to find, especially with a decent quality.

Some of the videos are the same commercials, some are new

These are being showcased in my NEW Fading Elegance v1+ theme

Still looking for more commercials, so feel free to share if you have some!

    This set includes (so far):
3DO Interactive (Multiplayer - you may have to rename depending on your setup)

  6. Fading Elegance Pause Theme - Designed with 4k Large Screens & TVs in mind.

    View File

PauseTheme that matches the Fading Elegance theme. Designed with 4k Large Screens & TVs in mind.

"Fading Elegance v1" and "Fading Elegance v1+" Theme
Matching Startup-Exit Theme - can be used with any theme of course

The pause button in the center is animated. It loops from Pause to Play.

Includes a text file with instructions

Funny Fact - Look at the Play Count on the screenshot; well I used the 4 different 007 games in Gamecube to test my changes every time I would make a change. Between the 4 games in my collection, I have played them 430 times when you add them together. Thats a lot of starting and stopping. - xDxDxD

The video shows the Startup, Pause and Exit

    Thanks @faeran & @Retro808 for the help

    -Enjoy

The star-burst smoothly slides in from the right resting behind the Clear Logog and then continues to rotate making it look like a live star.

There's a green animated loading bar above the "NOW LOADING (not in real-time)"

I been trying to use some of the code from the Default Startup. Use the Nintendo Wii.xaml in the Default Startup theme.  I've tried adding the portions that I would think I would need, but that ain't worked.

In the Nintendo Wii.xaml it has starting at line 16:

    <Storyboard x:Key="Load">
                <!-- DISC ROTATE -->
                <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="DiscImage"

Do I change the TargetName= to my image file name, or use the "DiscImage"?

I've tried just pasting the UserControl.Resources portion into my file above the Canvas and that doesn't work either. (Line 1-43)

Let me just rename one of the CD based files to default and start that way....thank you sir for replying, maybe I can figure it out that way

Look in the Default Startup theme folder. Open one of the CD based platform xaml files. In there you will see an example of rotation. Triggering animations is not too hard. You may spend more time refining the movement/speed than anything else.

  10. I've got a decent looking startup theme about finished. What I am wanting to do is make one of the images expand and retract a little in size or maybe rotate real slow.

    Here is what I got:
    <Image Grid.Row="1" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" Source="pack://siteoforigin:,,,/StartupThemes/Fading Elegance/images/Star Burst.png" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Stretch="Uniform" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" Width="1000px" Margin="15" />

Is it something easy to do?

I have been trying to whack up pieces of the Default one using a spinning disc, but can't figure it out.

@The Papaw @PaDeMoNiuM @sucramjd I might finally have this rotten issue fixed. It appears to have been a PHP setting, but of course it was nonsensical. I actually lowered a PHP setting from unlimited to a static value, which I think fixed it (it has for me). Can you test yourselves? Again, sorry for the trouble here.

I WAS able to upload it without issues!!! Thank you, thank you....You the MAN!!!xDB|

  13. Fading Elegance

    View File

I have brought the Fading Elegance themes "up-to-date" to work better with the newer versions of Bigbox. Covers over 200 platforms and 60 common playlists. Other cosmetic changes and fixes

    Feature: Slow changing color background
Feature: various fading in-and-out information areas
Includes: over 300 custom made genre and play mode images (includes a PS template)
Updated: added or replaced some badges, controllers and artwork.

    Updated Video: (12-04-23)

Assets used in the video (already included in the SE version of the theme)

The reason I had called the theme "Fading Elegance" was that I went for an elegant look, sharp edges and straight lines and designed certain information sections to be displayed for a few seconds, then fade out while fading in something new. Like in the platform views, it may start showing an image of the platform device, it will fade out, as the maximum number of players will fade in. These will rotate between the two. You will see this throughout the themes with various types of information. They have a smooth, slowly color changing background and have most all the bells and whistles that are available.

Just a heads up, the Fading Elegance themes are pretty resource hungry as there are some "behind the scenes" videos going on and all animations that are used. Feel free to give them a try on low end systems, if you have issues, you may be able to delete the audio clips and background videos to gain some improvement.

    - To activate LAN - add LAN as a new "Play Mode" for the desired game(s)
    - To activate ROM - add ROM as a new "Source" for the desired game(s)
    - To activate Karaoke - add Karaoke as a new "Genre" for the desired game(s)

(bulk edit is easiest way to add new badges)

If you would like to use the new badges in Launchbox, you will need to download the Badge pack.

The SE version is being used in the video. The SE versions of my themes always have additional views and include Platform & Playlist audio clips. And of course, my supporters can change many of the assets by downloading them from the download section of my BMAC page.

Listen to sample clips of the New voices
Listen to sample clips with Reverb

380 Platform/Playlist Audio Clips (SE versions only)

Yes, but if internet cuts out for example or I accidently close the browser the download just fails and you need to start again. With IDM or any other download manager you can just resume it.

On a small download it's not an issue, but for stuff 5-10gb in size it's a pain having to start again as I have found out 2-3 times already.

It is just what I am used to on every other site I use, so I thought I would bring it to your attention as I am sure many others use IDM or similar.

All I am saying is for years IDM worked perfectly in this forum and now it doesn't.

    Thanks for your input.

@zugswang I think Invision Community is trying to deter multiple download connections to their servers. I found that if you bring up the file you wish to download, instead of clicking on the "Download" with the left mouse button like you normally would, right click on it instead and "Download with IDM" should be in your context menu. Is for me.

  15. Well, I have tried from 3 different browsers, tried creating a new LB test account, changed my IP address, it's got me stumped. Biggest file I can upload it less than 10mb.>:(

I uploaded the theme to g-drive for now

Videos for it are on Youtube:

    and the Marquee views:

    G-drive link to download is:
