@xevious1974 I've split this off to it's own thread to troubleshoot.
The error you're seeing is because the AddToGamesDb plugin has not been updated for LaunchBox 13.19. This plugin is no longer supported by the developer anyway, so please delete it from your LaunchBox\Plugins directory, and this should fix the error.
Cheers,
Thank you for your reply. I have deleted the plugin and now LB works perfectly!
Thank you very much!!!

Hi,
like always I have updated the LB using the pop-up message. I daily use lb, it works with no problems. I have 13.18.
After I have updated I get this error:

Thanks for the additional information there. For those experiencing issues where the save badges aren't appearing, after app startup, if you change from one sidebar filter to another, does that kick in the badges?
I have tried but nothing changed
13 hours ago, AstroBob said:Yes, this is the default RetroArch behaviour if you installed it a while back. There are options within RetroArch where you can organise saves by content & core directories, and LaunchBox will work with these options. Just be wary that if you turn these options on, it won't relocate your saves for you, you'll have to do that manually, but it's worth it once you've done it, since it's much more organised than just putting everything into that single RetroArch > saves folder
I have found the options in RA but I have 400 file to handle and I dont want to make disasters! It seems to me that I have some saves saved by core and some by content, I should adjust all.
Anyway, if I dont turn these option on Lb will not work? Or simply works "better" with that option? I'll prefet having all well organised but...

@xevious1974 can you confirm what your RetroArch > saves directory looks like? Do you have it set up to sort saves in content or core directories?
It should scan for saves and apply badges on opening LaunchBox, there isn't a separate scan like there is for achievements. We're investigating instances where folks who aren't using the default RetroArch save structure, in which case we're seeing instances where you need to click on the game in your library for the badge to appear.
If you can let me know what structure your `RetroArch > Saves` directory looks like, we'll look into this further
Thank you a lot for your reply!
I never changed something in the option, but I see that games are saved in a different way.
What is strange is that also for the platforms in dir, the saves are not recognized.
The other saves are a mess. Retroarch have mixed all platform in the main save directory.

Hi,
I can't understand how I do a scan of the games to search the saves.
Atm LB find only 1 games for PSP, I have others games with saves.
I have checked the ps1, and when I have clicked on Castlevania symphony of the night, the save badge has appeared. I have to do a manual check or there is another way?
regards,
g

That seems a great idea. Having thousand games, it is always interesting having some list to check.
Here my lists:
-Favourites LB staff games!
-Shortest games (for consoles, for example)
-Easyest Retroachievements games (to mine some!)
-The most played subset and hacked games (incredible that some people thinks that are not standalone game...)
-The most religious games list!
-The antihero games list!
-Falling in love list (the most sentimental games)
-The Freezing lists (games that are totaly covered with ice!)
-Do you milk the cow? (games were you control a cow)
-Need a pause? (games that can be played during a coffee pause, for example that have shor level and save data very often)
-Go to sleep (games that are so boring or so text long reading that you'll fall to sleep for sure)
-Have you a good controller? (games that put your controller to the edge)
-Autumnal leaves (are there games that are based on leaves?)
-The most funny games (do you need to laugh? here it is your favourite game list!)
-Are you going slighty mad? (games that for some reason push you to the limit. Can be ethical problem, strong visual effect, strange controls and so on)
ok, dont bother you more ❤️

Absolutely, Dolphin recognises it as a standard D-Input / X-Input device, so you can easily map it inside of Dolphin. One thing to note, if you do use it make sure you update the firmware on it. There were some updates to allow it to recognise the GameCube's analogue trigger inputs.
I have bought a simplier version. I dont like bt device.
This adapter can be installed using Zadig software. it is adviced in the Dolphin site
https://it.dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/?cr=it
Very useful if anyone wants to use it.
I am very happy atm

Apologies, when I said you have to update the firmware, I was referring to the 8BitDo G-Bros adaptor. Just something to double-check if you do pick one up since some can ship with older firmware.
Ok, dont worry, you are very kind!
Thank you again!!

First, thank you again for you reply!
I have to update the Bongos firmware? I can do it using pc?
12 hours ago, AstroBob said:Same! I'm also making my way through F-Zero GX, it's hard as nails, but loving every moment of it (especially with the original controller! 🎮)
I love RA. It allows me to play games that I have never played with a new interest and it allows me to play again games that I have already finished descovering new way to play it and keeping me on titles that I love and that you usually dont play when you finish it.
I have read that C64 and DOS are on the way...cant wait!!!! ❤️

@xevious1974 well spotted 😉 It's the G-Bros adaptor from 8-BitDo. It lets you plug in a GameCube controller and connects wirelessly to a Windows PC or even Nintendo Switch. So yes, it would let you play DK Jungle Beat using your original Bongos (oh how I wish I hadn't sold my Bongo's as a kid 😭). I played through Jungle Beat last week using a controller and it's just not the same 😉
Some other products will let you do the same thing, such as the official GameCube adaptor for WiiU, but I like this one because it's wireless.
Hope you're enjoying the GameCube sets!Thank you very much for your reply! I'll try it for sure. Do you think that dolphin will recognize easily this adapter? I cannot wait to play Jungle Beat!!!
Atm I am playing F-zero GX, it is very hard! I have played the first one on SNES and I completed it on my console, but this one...too hard! And thank you for your tip for the GC boot-up sequence! I have inserted it immediately!

There's a definite issue with 13.15 and it "duplicating" Games within a platform (specifically Dreamcast in this case). For instance I had all of my Dreamcast games properly imported in (they were automatically grouped with the multiple games with different geographies all under the same game - where you can right click and choose version) - then I close Launchbox and re-open it and bam - now each of the games is duplicated. I've had this happen twice now. I'd used it in 13.14 just fine.
I can delete all of the Dreamcast games - and re-import them and this happens again. Ideas?
(maybe it's not related specifically to 13.15 changes, but after the update it seems to be happening when it wasnt before)
Thanks!
it is happened to me few time ago with windows games. It has duplicated some games, updating the "new" games with a new description and new badge. Now I have to delete them when I found one.

I am about 25Tb with more than 200k
But I have added some soundtracks, a lot of flash games and my favourite anime ( old toons, like He-Man, Kyashan and so on), and my Magazine!! Zzap, Ace, Videogiochi etc.
Instead adding atm I am deleting windows game that I dont like, or that I have finished and I dont want to keep. Now I am on ZetZillions, I dont know if it is a great game or a foul game.
I Love LB/BB because I can have all in one place. I'd like to add also my books..I'll add later, I have my kindle that can explode.
Game on!

Beta 1:
- Improvement: The advanced search functionality has been expanded to include the following new filters: Broken, Complete, Favorite, Hide, Installed, PlayMode, Portable, Rating, Region, Series
Hi all,
I love the new search function BUT I have a request. It is quite annoying trying to close that window.
When I click in the search field, it appears, and that's ok. But to remove it... Usually I should click again in the search field, or clicking next to it...no, I have to search where to click to close it, if I dont want to use it/changed mind.
Please, I know you can find a very smart way to close that popup/window without using it. I suggest the "click method" or to add a little X in the right up corner or all the solutions.
Please

Unless I am really misunderstanding your post and the ticket, platforms and playlists can already have different themes as well as views. A theme creator can even code specific looks for a platform or playlist within the multiple view options (wall, wheel, and text) in their theme from the get go.
Sorry @Retro808,
you are right, I am confusing terms, I have proposed that ticket years ago and I was making a mistake. What I'd like to change is this:
I have my platform and playlist set in a different way, but I'd like to set the Platform category in a different way. Arcade, computers, Playlist, console, movie and so on
Sorry for the misunderstanding

Here you can find something to vote
https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/6928/having-different-category-platform
Different theme for each platform, playlist and so on, can creat different world
maybe you like the idea

How do you handle these platforms in the new game discovery centre? Do you hide in Big Box simply?

I would guess that it might be related to the recent database changes where Steam IDs getting added to PC game entries. It could be the case that during this process some metadata gets automatically replaced with data pulled directly from Steam.
I have checked games that have changed in my collection and I can confirm that are all related to STEAM
Apsulov: End of Gods Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com)
Beautiful Desolation Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com)
and others...I can add if anyone needs
What is interesting is:
Bound by Flame Details - LaunchBox Games Database (launchbox-app.com)
I have updated it at november '23 and it has the STEAM description. But now on Games DB we have the old description and game ID is changed (from 20606 ro 19983)
Now I explain why I have seen this changes. I simply updated my windows games list (update metadata and media, does not replace) and when finished I checked my Windows platform to see if any new games were found, I have a lot of blank.
And what I have seen? Some games, that I already have, were doubled. A new entry appeared next to the old one, with a different description, same image and new badge on it (like gog, installed, version and joypad). I was curious and choose to keep only the newer but while I was checking the difference ...I have updated it again yesterday and again new entries...
