  1. And @Jason Carr being the creator, owner, and leader of these forums has decided that they deserve to be ignored.
  2. Well duh, it's your own fault for being dumb, and telling him the truth in the first place. This is why you should have lied straight to the guy's face, promised him that you weren't going to use it for a MAME cab, and then once you had it, you took it home, and made it into a MAME cab. He would never find out, and even if he did, there's not a damn thing he could do about it as 1, it's not illegal to lie to someone, and 2, once you gave him the money, it's legally yours to do whatever you want with, even if it's against his wishes, and goes against the philosophy of preservation. As long as you yourself are happy, then who cares?
  3. Then why hasn't PCSX2 added the 1.5.0 versions to their stable repositories yet? It's been over two years! What are they waiting for? Why hasn't Dolphin added anything other than 5.0 to their stable repositories yet? They add nightlies all the time too, and yet it's been over 3 years since they've had anything stable updated yet. What are they waiting for? @Jason Carr does Beta updates all the time too, but he also does stable updates constantly as well which is the way it should be done. He actually does things right unlike these other developers. I've always been taught to stay away from anything that's labeled Alpha, Beta, Nightly, Development, Testing, Unstable etc if I don't want to have to worry about potential breakage, and other problems, and if I want things to be as stable as possible which I do. Anything that's not stable is not meant to be for practical everyday use, or for serious use as your primary gaming setup, and shouldn't be treated as such. Most websites even say that under their Beta downloads. I can't trust, nor use something until it's considered stable. Besides you didn't even mention my two most important points. PCSX2 is shit because of the stubborn developers who even admitted in their forums that they don't plan on upgrading to x64 anytime soon which is the most idiotic design choice out of the history of software developing. Everyone knows that x86 is an inferior architecture, and only exists because of compatibility, but other than that it is outdated, and obsolete, and x64 should completely replace it as the only way to go at some point, and by then we might have 120 bit. The point however is that continuing to use x86 just cuz it's easier, and they don't want to take the time to develop for x64 is just lazy, and pathetic, and there's no real justifiable excuse for it. The second point is that they continue to use the obsolete inferior plugin system, and refuse to move on to plugin free setups, which again is the dumbest design choice in the history of software developing, and is again only being used still cuz it's easier which again means pathetic lazy excuses to stick with shit rather than taking the time, and effort to upgrade to what's currently best, and superior. So until they decide to get their heads out of their asses, and actually make some real changes, PCSX2 will continue to be ePSXe levels of shit.
  4. I know we should never say never but those types of emulators will probably never get more accurate. PCSX2 is pretty much the ePSXe back in the day. ePSXe is a shit emulator which never got more accurate but instead died, and got replaced by more accurate emulators like Xebra, Mednafen, and now Beetle PSX Mednafen core in Retroarch. Dolphin is a lot better than PCSX2, and even it isn't progressing forward that much. At least not in the stable builds anyway. We've been stuck at 5.0 for like 3 or more years now, and it's the same with being stuck at PCSX2 1.4.0 stable builds. Even if these emulators got more accurate it would be YEARS before it happened, and if the more realistic thing happens which is that these emulators die to get replaced by more accurate emulators then that will be even more years. These emulators updating will take years to begin with, and then them dying, and getting replaced will be more years, and then after that the new ones will have to start all over from scratch, and build from the ground up in the sake of accuracy, and it took a really long time just for things like NES, and SNES to get cycle accuracy. This is the PS2, and Gamecube, and Wii we're talking about here. Way more advanced than a measly NES, or SNES. So it's gonna take several decades before we start seeing anything accuracy based in these types of console emulators. So when @Lordmonkus said you would probably never have to upgrade your PC that wasn't far off from the truth. By the time you do need to upgrade it's gonna feel like it was never. There's already a promising looking PS2 emulator called Play!. Thank god for that too. We need a replacement for PCSX2. PCSX2 is such utter dog shit, and it's code is a mess that no one but the original developers can develop for, cuz they're constantly making dumb ass decisions all the time. Think about this, they still use x86 architecture, and refuse to use the obviously superior x64 architecture, (STUPID!) and they still use plugins for their emulators to this day (STUPID!) while most of the others has abandoned that monstrosity a long time ago for bigger, and better things. PCSX2 is living in the past, and needs to get with the times, or be left behind. It's the sad but accurate reality of the situation. So as for the whole accuracy thing, it's gonna be a little while buddy, so you may as well just forget about it for now, sit back, kick your feet up, and just enjoy what you have right now.
  5. "Kind of like my local PC shop that told me that the best way to save money in computers while still having good specs, and bragging rights is to deliberately stay behind in the race?" Really? They told you that? A company actually giving good honest advice to their customer to help them save money, knowing that the price for that good honest advice is the customer spending less money on them, and their products? I never knew those types of companies existed before. No! It's too hard to accept. I must have entered the Twilight Zone at some point, and I just haven't realized it yet.
  6. I accidentally deleted BigBox.exe.config thinking that would reset BigBox to default settings, and now BigBox won't boot. Can anyone give me the file I accidentally deleted specifically? That way, I won't have to reinstall the whole thing.
  7. You're missing one of the pictures. Unless this one was uploaded by someone else. https://www.google.com/search?q=launchbox+wallpaper&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwixi_rK-_TbAhVs0YMKHdUOBQwQ_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=974#imgrc=xOytbKeFX0CQRM: Also, do you know where I can find a 1920x1080 version of it? Google Images only has 1280x720 but that's too blurry on my 1080P 1920x1080 TV, as I'd have to stretch it to fill in the entire screen which slightly pixelates it.
