  1. To start this off, I am new to launchbox and I don't really know much about the technical stuff, I just use it to run older games. So my problem is that, when I was importing some ROMS, I forgot to select the platform that they should be put in and left it on the default which is "all." And because of this, I now have 2 platforms titled "all" and it will not allow me to delete them. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to organizing files and such so this bothers me. Is there anything I can do to get rid of one of them? I attached an image of the problem. Thank you. Also, if I am asking on the wrong forum, let me know.
  2. Can't seem to find the answer to this, though I found a very similar post, that seems to have gone unanswered: I have my bin/cue Neo Geo CD games loading directly from Retroarch using the FBAlpha core. But, I cannot seem to get these to launch form within Launchbox. I used to do this through RocketLauncher, but i'm sick and tired of using it and would like to streamline things. Any ideas? I'm probably missing something simple... i'm still a little new to LB.
  3. Just thought I would give people a little tutorial here on how to use "mklink" to create a Symbolic Link for the Launchbox Cache. Some people say it improves performance (I certainly noticed it) and some say they don't notice much of a difference, I guess it depends on your set up. This method worked for me very well when I moved the Cache to my SSD, I found that I could now use images set to there highest quality without any impact on performance and the images look great on a 4k TV. So here is what worked for me: 1. First download and install LINK SHELL EXTENSION found here http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html (be sure to install the dependency's first)You should now have the option when you right click on a file to "Pick Link Source". 2. On your SSD where you want your CACHE to be located create a folder called "CACHE" (I find that creating a Folder named something like "Launchbox Cache" and then placing the new Cache folder inside it works best). 3. Go to your Launchbox folder and find the original CACHE folder in the IMAGES folder and copy everything in the CACHE folder to your new CACHE folder on your SSD. (this may take a while, alternatively you could just delete everything in the original cache folder if you wish but you will have to repopulate it later after the folder is linked, not a big deal really I just leave launchbox in "attract mode" so the Cache gets filled up). 4. Once you have copied everything (or deleted everything) from the original CACHE folder also delete the actual ORIGINAL CACHE folder itself as well (this part is important). 5. now go to your SSD and right click your new CACHE folder (or the folder it's in) you created earlier and select "Pick Link Source" 6. now go to your IMAGES folder in launchbox right click it and select "Drop as Junction" This will automatically create a new CACHE folder (where you deleted the original) INSIDE the IMAGES folder with a little chain icon attached to it indicating that it is now linked to your SSD CACHE folder! That's it simple but took me a while to get my head around so I just thought I would post this. A way to test if this is working correctly is to do the same with your platform videos folder, if after following the instructions above your videos display properly, everything is working fine! or of course you could just watch the space left on your SSD as the cache fills up.

    Exit in PES 2010

Hi everyone, I have a problem with PES2010 for Windows (on bartop), it is the only game that with the EXIT button that I assigned to the CAB, not only does not work but gives problems and can no longer return to the game or to bigbox . Does anyone know a method to fix the delta from this title to return to BigBox, or remove the EXIT function of BigBox just for this title so as to use the natural EXIT of the game? Thank you
  5. I have downloaded a pack of Actionmax shooter games and I wanted to add them to LaunchBox. They play well from the batch file but I am having difficulty adding them to rocket launcher or directly to launchbox. Mad Dog, Mad Dog 2 etc...
  6. Ev'ry Time I play PS2/PCSX2 Games with Launchbox My FPS always Dropping... But Without the RECORDER it's not laggy... Can you suggest me the BEST screen RECORDER? I mean, the best high performance SCREEN RECORDER for GAMING?
  7. Hi, I have windows 10 (64 bit), the latest version of Launchbox, and Retroarch. I am new to the emulation world. I originally had just a full set of SNES games and a few MAME games. Other than a few MAME games not playing, the SNES worked perfectly. Well, I added Sega, and NES. Once I did that I noticed my games drag at like half speed. Not just the new ones but the SNES as well. Music, the game itself, going from one screen to the next. It’s weird. Has anyone ever encountered this before? I feel like it’s a problem associated with Retroarch as its a gameplay issue, but I’m not sure. Thoughts?
  8. Hey! I was wondering how to add Breakout to Launchbox. This game does not have any rom files associated with it (that I downloaded) weirdly enough and as such I cannot find out how to add it to Launchbox.
  9. lol your content is awesome, excellent commentary, very clear instructions and voice overs. For the life of me idk why you didn't name this one to emulation with retroarch because as clear as that tut was I had no luck.. But this tut by far the best on the net even better than youtuber Simply Austin! I couldn't get it going with his video either until this vlog... Thank you also learned how to create my own .cue files which came in handy for 10 different games! Amazing work thank you so much! Happy Gaming!

  11. I've just started using this service and I'm feeling kind of a idiot asking about this, but.. I am trying to register into the cloud service through the LaunchBox app, but I'm having a problem about my login info.. The app tells me that I'm using incorrect login info, but I hve no toruble when I try to login on the website, as you guys can tell as I'm using the forum. However when I try to see my info on the website, it shows a smaller password than the one I created for my account, and I don't know what is this about.. I'm sure I am trying to use the exact same password on both websire and app, but there is something wrong with it, and I don't know what is it.. Maybe you guys can help me please..

Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel! My work blends a few influences relevant to the platform while showcasing the machine itself along with the games the platform ran: 1) Music made using sounds available on the platform (where possible) 2) The platform's boot screen (if possible) 3) Commercial influences usually in the form of the platform's marketing jingle. 4) The platform's packaging. In this way, the platform video itself gives an accurate interpretation of what the platform is, was marketed as, and what it looked and sounded like. In this video, the beginning displays a blue screen followed by a flicker/jitter common when starting a GX4000 game. An animated box art screen follows which slowly transitions into a 3D interpretation of the space pilot art followed by a Star Wars inspired jump into hyperspace to reveal game play footage.

Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel! The Amstrad CPC platform obviously doesn't come in a box (other than a boring brown cardboard box that is), so this time, I decided to let the system speak for itself for you all to enjoy.

  16. Hello, To clarify my question I want to launch an arcade rom through Retroarch but use a different core than what I usually use. For example the rom I want to launch is the 6-player version of X-Men Arcade and the core I usually run with all my arcade roms is mame2016, but because of screen issues I want to run X-Men with the basic mame core. This is what the game looks like running mame2016: and this is what it looks like running mame: I want it to look like the second image and the only way to do so is to run the basic mame core. So my question is that is it possible to launch X-Men with the basic mame core through LaunchBox while still being able to launch all my other arcade roms with the mame2016 core? Thank in advance!
  17. This is a collection of Playlist Genre Intro Videos. These are completely re-built animated versions of my original Intro videos I will be adding to the collection regularly. I was looking for a way to make the videos longer and this is the concept I came up with. Big Thanks to the Emumovies community for their work in recording the snaps also big thanks to @letstalkaboutdune for the use of some of his logos.

Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel! The arcade platform obviously doesn't come in a box, so this time, I decided to slap together some footage I found from across the web, put it together in a solid piece and bring it to you all to enjoy. I don't take any credit for any of the rendering at all, just the editing.
  19. Hi guys, i have a premium LB account and have seen the option to be able to exit games inside big box but I don’t have a clue of how to set it up or if this affects on the current game controls. For instance, I’d like something like in RetroArch when you can configure going back to main menu via start+select buttons. Thanks in advance

  21. Good Sunday from Switzerland everyone! I am basically new to the world of emulators and LaunchBox and whatelse there is out there. But a friend of mine had Ninendo games on his computer, what triggered me to try it myself this weekend. So I ended up downloading RetroArch and Launchbox this morning. I followed the steps of a Youtube tutorial. The next step was to download some games. I just went on Romsmania.cc and got the first game they recommended just to try it out. I downloaded and imported the game. Everything seemed to work. Now there is just one huge problem: The game won`t start. And I have no clue where I went wrong or which settings aren`t the right ones. Is there any one or any thing that could help me?
