  1. Are video snaps available in the free version of launchbox? And if so, how can i add them from emumovies? Edit: Do i just put the Video snaps in the Videos folder?
  2. Hi there, I recently discovered LaunchBox and was really excited about it. Unfortunately, I'm not able to install it as the installer says I first have to install .NET Framework 4.7. But no matter if I try to over the LaunchBox installer or manually, the installation fails. The fact is, that this should actually be no surprise as I currently have Windows 10 Pro 1803 (April 2018 Update) in which .Net Framework 4.7 is already installed. Nevertheless under "Turn windows features on or off" I additionally ticked and thus installed the whole ".NET Framework 4.7 Advanced Services" but no change: the LaunchBox installer still wants me to install .NET Framework 4.7. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Hi all, I have a quick query. MAME audit all sets throws up no errors, all correct nothing incorrect. 0.185 rom's and CHD's (merged). cmpro gives me a voluminous list of crosses and advice, mainly revolving around renaming. Just a little concerned at the amount of renaming and work cmpro wants to do. Downloaded what I thought was a full merged set, rom's CHD's, Just checking this looks right before I proceed and potentially destroy my rom set, although it is fully backed up, just a little nervous about this procedure. I have update packs to take me to version 2.0 which will then get me fairly up to date, and will match the artwork that is ready and waiting at version 2.0, once everything is up to date and ready to migrate to lunchbox. The full set can be imported, is it an easy matter of pointing everything directory wise so no downloading is required for launchbox to do? many thanks

Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel! My work blends a few influences relevant to the platform while showcasing the machine itself along with the games the platform ran: 1) Music made using sounds available on the platform (where possible) 2) The platform's boot screen (if possible) 3) Commercial influences usually in the form of the platform's marketing jingle. 4) The platform's packaging. In this way, the platform video itself gives an accurate interpretation of what the platform is, was marketed as, and what it looked and sounded like. In this video, the beginning displays the NTSC box design that expands into the PAL version to display game play.

i made a batch file to launch cgterm to connect to the title of the .exe (commodore4ever bbs.exe) when run it will extract cgterm in to temp folder then connect you to the bbs of your choice. when you exit it will deletc the temp folder. you need to add them one by one into LB the first one you make for platform type in BBS then on you second one go to the BBS tab in LB and start adding them this saves you from having to fill out the BBS platform everytime. ive made 17 BBS Launchers and can make more if you wish. i also will release the batch file (.bat) setup and the program i used to pack it into a .exe. if people want it to make there own.

  12. Can someone please explain to me why when I start up a platform in launchbox that uses Retroarch it opens in its own window instead of inside of Launchbox. Thank you for your help.
  13. Hi guys, So I have exhausted all methods and I think I've found what the problem is. I used ETA Prime's method in his Youtube tutorial to no avail. Emulator Details Associated Platforms Note the extra command-line parameters. I am unable to enter the full command line: -L "cores\fbalpha_libretro.dll" I enter the command line and click OK. But when I come back to check, the space is blank. The only way I can get it to save is by removing the "-" And that's what you see in the screenshot. I gather that this is a bug? I'm using version 8.5 of LB. I'm able to enter the full command line in the edit game section of any given rom. And the line saves without a hitch, the games run fine this way. Please see below: Anyone else run across this issue? Is there a fix other than editing each individual rom? Thanks in advance!
  14. I don't know if this is just on my side on my Android phone or if anyone else is having issue. I haven't removed anything yet, hoping I don't have to reset it all.
  15. I’m having trouble configuring my Aimtrak lightgun to work in Launchbox. I set it up in windows 10 without any problems. I then went into MameUI64 and set it up without any problems. I am able to hit tab, and configure the gun to the controls I want without any issues, but when I launch the game from Launchbox, it’s picking it up as a mouse on the screen. I’ve tried and tried to hit tab, and configure the controls for the gun with no avail. It will configure the trigger and 2 side buttons, but I cannot get the gun to register the X and Y axis. It pops up on my screen as a mouse cursor and I can move it on the screen, but I can’t get it to register to the X and Y axis. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
  16. I'm loving the new LaunchBox Next! It's obviously missing a lot of features right now but that's to be expected. My absolute favorite new thing about LaunchBox Next is how it loads your boxart images into memory. No more waiting for them to load up one or a couple at a time. It only happens the first time you view them all, but once that's done never again. It runs smoothly. I really hope it stays this way. Thanks for your hard work guys. It's appreciated.
  17. hi there i have a preminum license subscription for launchbox, i have emulator and games in my launchbox folder but i can't use the controller in the games, doesn't work. i have a third party xbox one controller but it functions like an official one. does anyone know how to setup a third party controller in the configuration in LaunchBox? Thanks
  18. Hi, I'm currently working to make a new BigBox theme, suddenly; I ran into a weird problem; when I changed the platforms wheel from vertical to horizontal (using the code available at the documentation.pdf) whatever image type I choose, I only get blank text, I tried using other image types, but it doesn't work either?! This is the code if you want to take a look: <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:transitions="clr-namespace:Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf.Transitions;assembly=Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf" xmlns:coverFlow="clr-namespace:Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf.Controls.CoverFlow;assembly=Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf" xmlns:cal="http://www.caliburnproject.org" xmlns:i="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/interactivity" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="562" d:DesignWidth="1000" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Style="{DynamicResource UserControlStyle}"> <Canvas Name="Canvas"> <transitions:TransitionPresenter TransitionSelector="{Binding BackgroundTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding BackgroundView}" Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}" IsContentVideo="true" /> <Grid Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}"> <Grid.Background> <SolidColorBrush Color="Black" Opacity="{Binding BackgroundFade}" /> </Grid.Background> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="42*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="92*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <coverFlow:FlowControl x:Name="FlowControl" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Column="0" ImageType="Clear Logo" CurveAmount="0" CameraZPosition="6.0" VisibleCount="14" PageSize="6" ItemZPosition="1.0" SelectedItemZPosition="3.0" Spacing="3.5"> <coverFlow:FlowControl.CoverFactory> <coverFlow:HorizontalWheelCoverFactory /> </coverFlow:FlowControl.CoverFactory> </coverFlow:FlowControl> <Grid Grid.Column="2"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="5*" /> <RowDefinition Height="50*" /> <RowDefinition Height="2*" /> <RowDefinition Height="50*" /> <RowDefinition Height="5*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid Grid.Row="1"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="44*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="57*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Column="0" TransitionSelector="{Binding ImageTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding ImageView}" /> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Column="2" TransitionSelector="{Binding DetailsTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding DetailsView}" /> </Grid> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Row="3" TransitionSelector="{Binding ImageVideoTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding ImageVideoView}" IsContentVideo="true" /> </Grid> </Grid> </Canvas> </UserControl> Thank you so much for support.
  19. I was wondering in Pinball Arcade, is there a way to get them to load as an individual tables instead of going through the program. Thanks for the help.
  20. Here is a video of some custom videos and platform clear logos I have made for the SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis which is my favorite console. I like to split some of the systems up into various regions and categories etc. Number 1 and 4 in the list are the standard ones created by @viking and the rest I did myself. The first minute of the video is scrolling down to the MD / Gen. The regions and categories are: SEGA Genesis SEGA Mega Drive (Brazil) SEGA Mega Drive (China) SEGA Mega Drive (Europe) SEGA Mega Drive (Japan) SEGA Mega Drive (Prototypes) SEGA Mega Drive (SEGA Game Toshokan) SEGA Mega Drive (Sonic Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (SOR Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (Translations) SEGA Mega Drive (Unlicensed) I have made other custom videos and the likes for other platforms but will show it all off when I have completely finished, probably in fifty years. The video is unlisted on YouTube so if there is any problems viewing it let me know and I will change it.

  25. In LaunchBox when I have one game selected it shows the generic Viking's Nostalgia theme background I use in BigBox, which I do not want to show in LaunchBox. Though, when multiple games are selected it shows the custom image I have selected in LaunchBox > Tools > Options > Default Background > Use Custom Image:Does anyone know why and how to 'fix' this?
