  1. Hi everyone, I am trying to emulate Bandai Super Vision 8000. I managed to run this system on mame and mess thru launchbox by typing command line "sv8000 -cart". However I cannot run Bandai Super Vision 8000 or even Fairchild Channel F (although FreeChaF core does the trick) on Retroarch with mess2015, ume2015 mame cores. Would you please help me if there is any way to run first and second generation games on Retroarch with mess2015, ume2015 or mame core?
  2. I have MESSUI64 set as my default emulator for Genesis roms and when using the MESS program on its own, without Launchbox, I can get my Genesis roms to run just the way I want, with correct full screen 4:3 ratio and really nice looking scanlines and saves states and preset volume control and everything I love about Mame that I can never get working properly on other Genesis emulators. So I was really dissapointed when I tried launcing some roms through LB. I can get them to run (using: genesis -cart -skip_gameinfo -nowindow as the command line prompt) but it will not use any of the settin
  3. Hi I'm following the guide to update my MAME Rom set from 0180 (from arhcadepunks) to 0193 and to include MESS Im using the guide my updates folders look like this I used the guide and wanted each machine in a different folder so I clicked "move sets" It took a lot of time but that doesn't seem to of organised anything (the are not in folders by machine) Is there a way to check the update worked and that I am running 0193? How can I get all the roms in the correct folders? Is launchbox going to make a section for each machine? Sorry............It's my
  4. The FM Towns is the big brother computer to the FM Towns Marty console. While most games are on CD you will find some on floppy. The Towns Marty Rom is literally nothing but a FM Towns computer stripped down with less ram and less compatibility. There are some original games and a lot of ports (some enhanced) found on other Japanese computers like the NEC PC-9801 and Sharp X68000, like other Jcomputers expect some Eroge/Hentai. ROMS: The roms and Bios can be found all over the internet but adding Neo Kobe to your search might help give a 91GB treat on archive. Emulators: UN
  5. So I am trying to get The Philips CD-i machine emulated in MESS/Mame but for some reason I am getting an error message while trying to load a game. It's telling me "sorry to play this disc your cd-i player must be equipped with a cd-i digital video cartridge" what exactly does this mean and how can I fix this issue?
  6. Hi Guys, hoping someone can help me out. I have a full MAME list (mess) romset and bios set. I've downloaded MAME 0.185. I cannot seem to get rca studio 2 working alone, through LaunchBox or RocketLauncher. Mame will open but immediately close. This makes me think I have a bios issue. Is there a folder structure I need to follow? I have the roms in their own folder and I put the MAME list roms in the roms folder of MAME. I've also added the rca studio 2 roms directory and my MAME arcade roms directory. Not sure what I'm missing. any help is appreciated.
  7. Hey all, has anyone gotten the former MESS systems playable in MAME? None of these seem to be working for me - (Edit: except for Arcade)
  8. Hey guys, got an odd issue in MESS that I can't find an obvious answer to, mostly due to how convoluted MESS is as a piece of software. It's worth noting straight up that I've installed and configured MESS exactly as the Launchbox youtube video on it shows to. So... the problem! I'm using MESS to run Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Lynx, and the ColecoVision - and all of them load etc just fine, however my mapped controls in MESS (using a wired xbox360 controller FYI) only work on the Atari 7800 and the Lynx. The other 3 systems (2600, 5200, ColecoVision) don't respond to any button presses etc.
