  3. I saw that android is a platform option bt how the hell do we use it.. I mean I have nox on my systems but it doesn't even install to a normal location so its impossible to locate the app exe... Can this be done with bluestacks? Again giving me files I don't have a clue about using with the movies is pointless... I created an acoount I got my API key etc but how the heck do we add movies to launchbox?
  4. Hello! I purchased and applied the Android lifetime license to my Launchbox installation on my Shield and loving it so far. I was trying to change the banner image of the SNES system (not a fan art fan) and it prompted me to select my license again? Even if I browse to the directory with the license, it's not there to select from this screen. The license is fully applied though, it says "Licensed to <firstname> <lastname>" so I have no idea why it won't let me select a new banner. Any advice on this would be great, thank you!
  5. Hello, when do you think you will be able to add custom playlists to the Android version? It's the one thing that is missing for me. Thanks
  6. Hola.
  7. installed the app my roms are on micro sd. i wanted to change the launchbox folder from main device to micro sd card. closed the app as suggested and used FX file explorer to copy the folder and put in in root of micro sd. i relaunched the app and try to data folder to micro sd/Launchbox but it wouldnt let me saying that it didnt have read and write access to that folder. i tried a couple of times i was able to make a folder inside launchbox folder on micro sd card with FX file explorer so it does have read and write? i deleted the lauchbox folder from main device and uninstalled the app. reinstalled the app and tried to select the lauchbox folder on micro sd card again but it wouldnt let me yet again same error message saying read and write. im guessing the app only asks permissions on install for device and not micro sd card? cause other apps can access the micro sd card just fine. im using a SM T835 android 10 (samsung galaxy tab s4)
  8. Hello, I'm just starting to try and set up remote play my emulators for Launchbox Big Box through Steam Big Picture. My issue right now is the controller I use remotely work fine up until the game starts. From there the controllers stop working. Is this a Launchbox issue? Or is this something I need to set up through my games?
  9. Hi, I am trying to use the built in update function to update from 1.0 (downloaded from LB website) but it fails when running, see attached Java error. This happens on Retroid Pocket 2+ and Anbernic RG552 running different versions of Android. Any idea how to update? Any chance of having the latest version available to download directly from website instead of this update method? Cheers.
  10. I have a question about how to put the movies on my SD card. I recently installed the 1.0 update and love that we can now use movies but the issue for me is storage. My device only has 32GB of internal storage (retroid pocket 2 +) so I want to move them to my SD card (have a 400GB sd card). I have my SD card set up as portable storage so I can place my rom collection on my sd card. I used a file manager to copy the contents of the Launchbox folder and copied them over to my sd card. When I go to the options to chose data folder and change it to my SD card I keep getting the error that the directory is not set up to allow read/write permissions in Android. I am thinking this is because I have the SD card set up as portable storage and not as storage for apps. I really need it set up as potable storage as I have my roms on the SD card as portable storage. Does anyone now I way around this? Is there a way to give read/write permission to the launchbox folder that is now on my SD card?
  11. Let me start by saying I love LaunchBox. It makes things so much easier. And I just got LaunchBox for Android which is also very good. The only feature I find lacking is a good game rating system. The community star system doesn't seem to have enough people using it to make it useful. Is there any way to create a game rating database from https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/games/rankings which has been around for a long time and to me seems pretty accurate. And combine it with the community star system. That way we could find some hidden gems and be able to separate the good from the bad. Especially important when deciding what games to move to android where space is limited. Well, I hope you will consider it. And thanks for all you do.
  12. hello all, my client wants me to add a binary to text conversion on my app. I am not an experience developer and I was really bad at this kind of number conversions in my college. Is there any code to convert binary to text in java? any reference to this conversion will be appreciated.?
  13. Hello everyone, I speak from Brazil and I am not fluent in English and I will use the Google translator to make this post, I apologize for possible errors. I have faced a difficulty / doubt in relation to uploading images to GamesDB more precisely images for Android games. games for android / ios are obviously distributed by their respective stores and in no way on physical media, so there is no cover, cart front's, etc. but I use android emulators to make it possible to run them on the PC and use the launchbox to start from it ... adding the missing games to GameDB I find the absence of a suitable category to place the images of the icons of the games (the same ones that are displayed in the menus of the cell phone and in the GooglePlay stores) so I started to upload these icons in the Cart Front category because it seemed the most suitable for this type of image and to be displayed correctly in the launchbox. but some of my uploads started to be rejected, claiming it is not a 'cart front' image, obviously it is not and this type of game will never have a cart front image The question is which category should I use correctly to upload these icons of apps for android / ios or if it would be possible to add a category for Games DB special for this type of app / games in relation to the covers I have searched for names like Zombie Tsunami Twitch Cover or Facebook Cover to find vertical covers in the pattern ation to the covers I have searched for names like Zombie Tsunami Twitch Cover or Facebook Cover to find vertical covers in the pattern so I would like some help on how to do this in the most correct way possible or that is creating a new category for these types of games in games db
  14. Hi All! Loving the Android app and paid for premium usage ? I have a massive games list ported to my Android and it's a really pain moving the right hand side scroll thing up and down to get to a game. Can we search yet? or even press the first letter?
  15. Getting multiple errors first installing launchbox. Error 1 - No data was found on your devices internal or SD card storage (happens on startup) Error 2 - An unexpected error occurred while trying to initialize Launchbox folders: Object reference not set to an instance of an object(happens on startup) Error 3 - When I try to select a folder to import games it just shuts down and says unfortunately lauchbox has stopped I had already installed retroarch and the few emulators I tried work. I have even tried roms on both internal and external SD cards; both work. Another thing I have noticed is that Launchbox does not see retroarch as an emulator? All I see is Android native and customer emulator. Please help and thanks in advance.
  16. When configuring retroarch at the Launchbox platform, I could not find the core I wanted to use when running PSX using retroarch (The core Beetle PSX HW), that's such a shame because that is the core with the best customizations at least for me
  17. Due to moving the folder my roms are in and re-importing some of them, I have some dupes, some work, some don't...it's a mess...rather than delete from phone individually in Launchbox via press down menu, is there another way to just start over and have LB scan a folder to add only 1 instance of a game? (in this case NES)?
  18. Please remove if not allowed. Hey everyone. This is my very first android theme I have made so don't be to hard on me ? Posting here as it's game related and thought you may all be interested! Here is a little bit about the theme... This theme was made with a mate 20 pro device and you may need to make some tweaks, I will include 3 screen sizes (19.5/9, 18.5/9 s8+, 18/9, more to come) but may have graphical off sets on some devices. You navigate the device like a real console, buttons and all! There is special effects when playing music such as a sliding game cartridge with album art and song title that slides down when paused or song skipped etc. Coins and shrooms fall down on all screens when music is playing. Battery light changes too >60% = green <60% = yellow <30% = red Charge cable connected = flashing green Cable connected to PC = flashing Blue Favorite apps You navigate these with the Dpad and press A on the desired app. (be sure to set up your apps under globals tab, and setup the right shortcuts to each app under shortcuts tab) Weather Up/down toggles different weather pages A launches weather app Rss Up/Down scrolls next feed on that current site Select button changes to 2nd site in globals A opens currently displaying feed B returns you to the most current feed Any questions, just shoot me an email to the provided email on Google play and I will either help or take feedback. Thanks and I hope you enjoy! Ps. Light and dark mode are activated by touching the logo under the screen! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=retroboy.kustom.pack
  19. When launching a game in Launchbox on android, is it possible to load separate .cfg-files for each system, like what’s possible on Launchbox for Windows by typing in »-c coreconfigfilename.cfg« i think?) in emulator settings. This would solve the problems i am facing trying to set up my Nvidia Shield TV not having to remap the buttons each time i’m playing N64 with a N64 usb Retro-bit controller or Sega with a Sega usb Retro-bit controller each time.
  20. Hi, great work so far but how can I remove "games" from my "Android" platform? Not only most of my apps are now linked there but also many system programs as shown in the attached screen shot. Is there a hidden way or do I simply have to wait for an update? This would also apply to all the other platforms but as far as I'm concerned, I'd like to sort out my android platform. With kind regards, Niklas
  21. Hey, is it planned to automatically sync your collection from the desktop app to your android phone (server-client-style)? Many thanks in advance! Regards, Wonderwhy
  22. I went to the google play store today to download launchbox for my gpd xd and it said it wasn’t compatible with my device. Did I do something wrong, because I play all my retro games on it up to psp and I feel like it could handle it ok. Thanks in advance for your reply.
  23. Well I was watching the latest news and android got a mention which peaked my interest. As a Nvidia Shield TV user it would be amazing see an Android power of LaunchBox. Maybe one day ? I setup GameCube recently and I have tested some games with great results it's impressive what the Shield TV combined with Dolphin can get you. I also updated my Shield firmware last night and it's brought some great additions that hampered the emulation user experience BUT I have not tested all my emulators yet to see what problems it's caused. We all know updates cause problems!! Other than that I have started and not finished so many projects since last here SO MANY. I will get something done one day. blogs are strange, it's like talking to yourself idk if what I have to say is worth your time but thank you for reading it all. Good day to you (go play some games)
  24. Hey all, I just found out I can stream BigBox to my android phone and use my moga controller to navigate the interface and play the games! Nvidia have an app that allows you to stream from your pc to a Shield Device with very low latency. An app on the Google Play Store called Moonlight allows regular android phones to do this as well. It also supports controllers. To do this you need an Nvidia graphics card. Download the Geforce Experience app from here: https://www.nvidia.co.uk/geforce/geforce-experience/ In the Geforce app click the settings gear icon and select shield. Click the Add button and navigate to bigbox and select it. On your phone go on the google play store, search for "Moonlight" and you should find Moonlight game streaming. The rest of the instructions are best followed here on the developers site: https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-docs/wiki/Setup-Guide It's really easy to do and takes like 5 min to setup.
  25. So, I am interested in making an Android section, so I ask, any one already messing around with Android emulators and recommend a great one? Thus far I have found these few but haven't played with any: ANDY Droid4X NOX
