I created a few clear logos featuring the Steam Deck! Clear Logos The intention is to use these for playlists or platforms, like "Steam Deck Verified" as an example. There are black and white variants for use with light or dark themes. Icon Files I also included two .ICO files to use in Windows, the reason being that I now have a scaled down LB/BB build that lives on my Steam Deck, and my primary portable build that's much larger on an external drive that's accessible when the Deck is docked. I wanted to create icons to further differentiate them on my start screen. Credit Thanks again to @Dan Patrick - I used his recreations of the LaunchBox and BigBox cube logos, and sourced the Steam Deck outline image online and modified it to add more contrast between the outline and base colors. -

168 Clear Logos! I was looking around, and didn't see that anyone else had done this. I pulled all the clear logos from TeknoParrot's compatibility page and renamed them so that LaunchBox would pick them up properly. This package is complete as of 7/1/22. I'm not clear as to whether or not their compatibility page lists everything in their scope or if there are others. Enjoy!-

By far my largest contribution to date.. This set of Clear Logos was designed to work in conjunction with Dan Patrick's Platform Logos (found here), using a subset of these logos, and a font matching (or at least super close to) what he used in his own Playlist images. The intention was to stay simple and keep it consistent above all else. This collection is available in 3 Styles: Dark - Best used with Light Themes Light - Best used with Dark Themes Outline - Designed to read well regardless of Light or Dark theming. The Playlists available for each Platform are: Official Releases - Games released during the lifespan of the platform Aftermarket Releases - Games released after the platform's lifecycle (homebrew, indie releases, etc) Favorites - For games marked as favorites Translations - Translated games Unreleased Games - Games developed and intended to be released during a platform's lifecycle, but no official release Hacked Games - Hacked games! Finally, there are currently 73 Platforms covered in each set: Massive thanks to @Dan Patrick in all sincerity, for the countless hours he put in on these logos to begin with. I also wanted to thank @faeran - Even though we've never had any direct communication (that I'm aware of, at least), I learned a lot about theming and media by reading his posts and watching his theming videos on YouTube. Enjoy! I hope the community can make use of this, and I'm always open to suggestions, ideas and any way I can improve my work.-

If you are like me, and like to avoid using silver ring and docklets in your build then the following pinball clear logos maybe what you need. Pinball FX2 - Complete set. Pinball FX3 - Complete set. The Pinball Arcade - 165 logos. Future Pinball - 457 logos. I want to add, i did NOT create a lot of these logos, they are from various sources spread around the net, some are on LB's database, but i have yet to find them as a complete set, They may well exist on PinballX's private ftp, but as i have no access there i spent time going through each one to complete them for my own build. I made any logos that i could not find or ones that were exceptionally bad. Thanks goes to all persons involved in making any media for our hobby.- 1 comment

Machtendo - Platform Categories View File I created some Platform Category Clear Logos! I had been using a set created by @knewlife which I really liked (found here). I just ran into a problem with the images scaling quite like I'd like to see. I decided to go ahead and recreate a couple of my favorites from scratch for a refresh, and riffed on his original idea with the others. These all started as 4K images @ 600 ppi and trimmed down from there. Arcade = Capcom Logo (recreation) Computers = IBM Logo (recreation) Consoles = PlayStation Logo Handhelds = Gameboy Logo Pinball = Williams Logo I made sure to use colors pulled from what I consider the definitive collection of logos created by @Dan Patrick where I could. I also made variations with white and black outlines with a couple of different line weights to accommodate light or dark themes. Submitter machjas Submitted 06/13/2022 Category Platform Clear Logos

Hey LB community! I hope someone out there can help me. I have found a group of clear logos that I really love, but they are named according to their Launchbox ID#. Is there any way to easily assign them to the appropriate games in my RetroArch theme (as opposed to dragging and dropping each one individually)? Help and Thanks!

My Colorful Clear Logos Category Hello everybody! I would like to share my category logos with you. I made them to use with the Colorful bigbox theme. Of course, you can use them in other themes. They were made inspired by the Colorfull Big Box colors and contain 8 variants: simple gray Simple gray (caps text) simple dark Simple dark (caps text) 2.5D gray 2.5D gray (caps text) 2.5D dark 2.5D dark (caps text) All logos are 1920p wide, to maximize quality on high resolution displays. You may want to reduce the size using some image software. Feel free to do so. Please note, I only created logos for the main categories. But you can create your own, because include the source .psd file 😄 Any feedback is welcome. Enjoy!- 3 comments

Hello, all! I recently decided to overhaul my Launchbox setup, and rework it to incorporate Aftermarket Releases in a way the makes more sense. I decided on two primary categories - Official Releases and Aftermarket Releases: Official Releases are pretty much what you would expect. Aftermarket Releases then goes on to Hacked Games, Original Games, Translations, and Unreleased Games - I wrote up descriptions to accompany each subcategory (also included in txt files). I included a screenshot of my Platform Categories to help make sense of it. Once I decided on that, I set out to find Clear Logos to match, and either struck out, or what I'd seen wasn't fitting with the rest of my system, so I decided to make my own cohesive set that also included your standard Favorites, Collections and Playlists These clear logos and descriptions are meant to be platform agnostic so that I could use them for every platform in my collection that has these aftermarket releases.-

I'm currently creating/modifying a full(?) set of platform clear logos. By creating I mean literally DRAWING FROM SCRATCH in Adobe Illustrator in vector! One logo can range from taking one hour and go up to FOUR HOURS to perfect! Of course many of the logos have great versions already available and I won't be drawing those from scratch but simply examining thoroughly and touching up those if necessary. I will release all of these in extreme quality as well as my original vector drawing files. I don't want to take full credit for my upcoming collection because a lot of them will be essentially the same vector svgs used by the emulation station community. I'm combing over all of them though trying to fix flaws and redrawing logos if necessary. All of the ones shown here are either heavily altered or brand new drawings! Thanks to Pit's Arts on the forums for the TeknoParrot PNG that I traced from. I also drew a new arcade classics logo just for fun. The goal of this upcoming platform clear logo collection is to make all of the logos we use for platforms simply more accurate and higher quality. This is not to knock others who have worked hard to create currently used versions in the past but simply to improve upon that hard work further. Hopefully I don't come off as pretentious! I just want to make our platform logos the best they can be! This whole process started because I am also making a theme which needs accurate logos for a collection of hand drawn icons. I was touching up so many logos along the way that I decided to actually focus on just the logos for a while and get them fixed up some. I have spent around 90 hours doing just the logos as of right now! I know that this is not something people care too much about but I hope you can get some enjoyment from my labor of love once I release the full logo set. As a sneak peek of my theme's art, I'm going to show off a couple of my Icon backgrounds here for the first time. The theme will be called "ICONIC". I've been working on it everyday for nearly 3 months . The reason it has taken so long is because I wanted to draw all of these icons very accurately. It will support only about 40 to 50 platforms because It's just not reasonable to do more than that for me. The backgrounds scroll and loop continually through the magic of the theme creators animations. Currently it has a Nintendo style look with greys, reds and white. I know it looks really red but In the theme it's not too overpowering the way I'm using it. I plan to make a more neutral version as well. You'll see more of the ICONIC theme later. I have made a few long Youtube videos that show my tedious logo creation process in action! Feel free to skip around them because they aren't the most exciting videos in the world. If you take a peek at the (rough/unedited) recordings you can feel the vibes I'm putting into these logos. The logo collection will release very soon. The ICONIC theme will release....not as soon but still soon.

This is a MASSIVE collection of clear logos focusing on Genres (categories) and with some Collections included. There is a download pack for 40 different platforms. There are 1000'S of clear logos in this collection. They work fine with all the available themes that I've tried. There is a separate download pack for each platform. Each downloaded zip contains 2 folders (one is a folder with the clear logos which is pretty much a drag-n-drop thing, the 2nd is a folder with matching playlists (auto-generated) if you wish to try them, (keep in mind the playlists are far from perfect and still being updated), along with Readme.txt that explains where everything goes. I was inspired to do this when I switched to the Retro Console Theme by cemfundog and some logo work done by scooter1974. It got me started when I wanted to create a couple for myself and well, that couple just keeps growing now.... Thanks to both of you for your help. Per request, I added the complete set in a single file called for easier downloading. It contains everything that's in all the individual downloads. (it is the very last file in the downloads or use the link) Complete Collection v4.1.1.zip (at the bottom of the list) You can get the matching videos here: Extreme Gamer Collection (works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Ultimate Playlist Beginner Setup Guide & Starter Collection (with New Video Sets, smaller in size and easier to download) Massive #1 - 100's of Videos that match these clear logos - The screenshots above are NOT using the matching videos Massive #2 - Another set of almost 500 genre/category Videos that match these - Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2. TV Commercial Platform Videos Download Retro Console Theme: Retro Console Theme or Retro Console Theme V2 These logos really pop if you set BigBox to use Platform Categories as the view. Of course, the better your genres are defined, the better your playlists (and logos) will work for you. That's why I included my matching playlists to help you get started if you have been putting it off like I did for years..haha. Make copies or backups of your files (the one mentioned in the Readme) then you can try these and if you don't like them, you can delete them and easily put things back like you had them. As it stands right now, there are close to 20,000 files in the collection. If you are working with limited storage space, you can always download the systems you need, pick out the ones you want to use and delete the rest. Each system download has the same content concerning the genres/categories, meaning if one system has a clear logo for "Baseball", every system will have a clear logo for "Baseball. I done it this way so if you add a new game and you choose a new genre for it that is new to your setup, and the genre files have already been installed from here, they will be picked up automatically for you. (If I create a new category, genre or collection, it will be added it to all the systems.) Concerning the Play Mode images: I have tried to make all the images that pertain to the # of players, local, online, single player, multiple player, local co-op, split screen, 2-Player Alternating, etc., specific to each individual platform. Like the Xbox 360 images have 360 controllers on them or the Wii U images have a Wii U on one side and the Wii U Controller on the other. Just a added touch. All systems will play mode images for up to 8 players (starting in version 2) in both Simultaneous and Alternating, so I tried to fit many different setups, as we all have have different likes. My objective it to finish through my library with the genres I have, then I will either begin all over again maybe focusing on Collections I have or try to make matching video snaps, not sure yet. I will try to accept requests now for other genres/categories....I ask you be patient as I am only one old feller and I'll do the best I can. PLEASE keep requests to things that will have at least 5-10 games that will pertain to it. I am trying to focus it around single word genre/categories best I can. This is a work-in-progress and on-going I'm sure. The better the metadata, the better searches and organization it makes. Here are the systems included so far: (Updated to v4 on 06-15-20) 3DO Interactive Arcade Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Atari Lynx Atari ST ColecoVision Commodore Amiga Mattel Intellivision Microsoft Xbox Microsoft Xbox 360 NEC TurboGrafx-16 Nintendo 3DS Nintendo 64 Nintendo DS Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Game Boy Advance Nintendo Game Boy Color Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Switch Nintendo Wii Nintendo Wii U ScummVM Sega 32X Sega CD Sega Dreamcast Sega Game Gear Sega Genesis Sega Saturn Sharp X68000 - NEW SNK Neo Geo AES SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Sony Playstation 3 Sony Playstation 4 (no playlists) - New emulators are starting to show progress now so just preparing Sony PSP Super Nintendo Entertainment System Windows Wonderswan Color Feel free to leave comments, questions and suggestions and I will get back as soon as I can.- 39 comments

Created using the Silver Ring template made available by @viking I use "Homebrew" as a platform category in Launchbox to encompass OpenBOR, MUGEN, as well as mods, hacks and fan-made content for other consoles. I spent hours looking, but could not, for the life of me, find a silver ring clear logo that just said "Homebrew" so I made one! I created this using the logo for the Wii's "The Homebrew Channel" as a nod to my first console softmod back in the day. I hope someone finds this handy!-
