This collection consists of over 5000 single cassette, double cassette, plastic clam shell, disks, and big box commodore 64 games. I tried my best to stay true to the original box sizes where I can, but this was an almost impossible task, so I had to compromise with some titles. Many of the games where released and re-released numerous times, so you will find in this collection many titles with 3 or 4 different boxes styles. Where this is the case, I’ve named the games with the developer/publisher added in brackets. I’ve avoided on the most part compilation and educational games, although there may be one or two still within this pack. This pack is still far from complete, so if anyone has any box art (inc spines) that are not part of this pack, please send to me and I’ll add them to any future updates I may release. Enjoy!

  3. Hello! I started setting up LB for the first time this week, and all but two of my systems have imported as expected. After I import Commodore 64 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum the copying of files and scanning for metadata goes as expected, but the platform is never created. I don't see them on my platform list or when I go to Manage Platforms. All the games are in my LaunchBox/Games folder for the respective platforms but there is no evidence of the platform in LB's UI. I have not allowed all of the metadata and images to download completely as I am importing several platforms and don't want to wait that long, could that be what is causing the issue? Like I said, these are the only two platforms I am having issues with, but I have not allowed any platform to fully download metadata and images yet. In my source folder for the ZX Spectrum roms each game has a folder of 5-6 individual flies but when I import to LB all files seem to get mixed up into a single folder. Does this mean that each file for each game is being recognized as it's own game? Do I need to convert each game folder to a single file of some sort before I import? Is there a way to tell LB to recognize each folder as a single game instead of each file? I have several filetypes in my Sinclair ZX Spectrum Games folder in the LB Games folder. .$b .asm .dsk .fdi .jsw .mgt .rom .scl .sna .tap .trd .tzx .z80 .zxs All of my C64 files are .tap. I have already ensured that I have a core loaded in Retroarch as the emulator for both of these platforms. Any help you can offer would be extremely appreciated!

Commodore 64 holds a special place in my nostalgic heart. I have decided to create a number of fan made box fronts to fill in the gaps. I'm currently working off a cabinet friendly list of originals. I will work on those first then move to larger sets. I will do as many as I can to fill in some of the holes so we don't end up have 1000's of "No Box Image" pics. I have included 2 versions of a generic "No Box Art" placeholder in this release along with ~170 box fronts covering # to E. Subsequent releases will include more covers as I finish them. I have managed to located a few box covers as I have been going through the list. If I did any work on the images either cropping or other adjustments, I will include them in the release as well. Also, now I have included primary controller information in the form of a joystick or keyboard icon I created as well as number of player details. Also, you will notice a code for gamebase64 to help you with determining which game the cover represents in greater detail than the file names I provided. I am not a professional graphic artist, I have been learning a few tricks as I have been going along to streamline the process. I welcome positive feedback and constructive criticism. After version one is released I do plan on moving onto Themed Clear Logos and Tape/Floppy Disk Images (As shown in my post in Games Media forum) and to take any requests to fill a fan favorite box art I may have missed. I appreciate the hard work everyone has done do far making launch box a great aesthetic front end and this is my way of giving back to the community. I look forward to feedback. Cheers Lassiveran

  9. Hi, All I've decided to try and give back to the talented LaunchBox community and have started working on placeholder media. I figured I would work on the computer systems as they seem to be lacking the most. I have almost finished the cassette tape artwork and I will roll out that with the other art assets this weekend. I am looking for any suggestions and constructive criticism. Be kind, I'm a hobbyist and not a professional Graphic Designer. :-) ~ Lassiveran
  10. Hi all, I've been trying to find a way to automatically swap the joystick ports when loading a C64 rom. Many games use Port 1 as the default for Joystick 1, however a number of games have Port 2 assigned as the default controller. In CCS64 I believe Alt+F10 will swap ports when you launch the application, but does anyone know of a way to send this to CC64 on load or a way to configure per game? Just would rather not have to mess with hitting Alt+F10 whenever I load a ROM that has the joystick swapped to the other port. I am guessing I could map that combination someone to my Xbox One controller someone with a third party app each time I launch, but not sure I'm that committed to this idea. Just curious if anyone has come across any easier way to do this.

To compliment my other Commodore 64 work, I have create 5190 placeholder Clear Logos for use in Launchbox. Extract the file into the Images/Commodore 64/Clear Logo/ directory. Do not overwrite any existing files unless you know the files is the wrong Clear Logo for the game in question. I welcome any requests for additional titles you want created and please feel free to bring to my attention any error so I can correct.

  14. Hi, As the topic says, is there a way to add JoyToKey to all games automatic so that it starts with the emulator/game and ends when emulator closes . I saw that you could add this manually game by game but that aint a option on thousands of games. So have I missed something or is that not possible (yet?)?
