  1. I am trying to run my CPS2 games from my .183 mame romset but when I try and fire it up through Launchbox or Retroarch it begins to load but then initially crashes. Ive tried to test this on several different cores including various versions of mame as well as fbalpha. I cannot seem to find a solution online through searching so I thought maybe the community would have an answer.
  2. Capcom Play System III - Dual and Single Cover 3D Boxes. View File I know there are a few 3DBoxes for Arcade and esp for the Capcom play systems, but i wanted to do my own take on these, so went with a MegaDrive/Genesis Sized case. I have included two version one with just a single faced front box, and a dual case showing back and front. I have more projects lined up that i want to complete, so i look forward to getting those out to you guys soon. If by any chance i have missed a game, please do not hesitate to leave me a message and i will try and get you the missing box asap. Submitter MadK9 Submitted 08/07/2018 Category Game Box Art

  6. Hi, I'm having trouble and I'm in a dead end. Launchbox and Retroarch is setup and work. I added the fulleset of CPS2 game in zip in LaunchBox. Some work, some doesnt. BUT, they ALL work if I launch them from Retroarch. I used the fbalpha2012_cps2_libretro.dll. My emulator settings are: ..\RetroArch\retroarch.exe -L "..\RetroArch\cores\fbalpha2012_cps2_libretro.dll" no options are check Since multiple games works, I tried in Retroarch and it works FINE! Anyone got an idea?
  7. I was wondering if there was an emulator that can do all 3 easily? Are bios files needed? Thank you my emulation friends!
  8. I'm at my wits end. I can run any of my cps2 roms on retroarch but they always fail in launchbox. Ive tried all the correct command lines, cores, emulators (fba, cps2, mame etc etc), rom sets. Nothing will work on launchbox. Again they work in retroarch. I have every other console and arcade game working fine. Any help greatly appreciated.
  9. Retroarch loads all cps2 games with FBAlpha2012 but it just sounds terrible like sand in a piece of glass. On the other side when i load my games from WinKawaks (CPS2 and NeoGeo specific) it sounds perfectly! The problem is when WinKawaks is set as emulator on LaunchBox it does not load the game automatically, it apparently needs some kind of script add. So it leaves me two options: 1) Solve the retroarch sound problem (read about nigtly builds that work better the sound or past cores, i don't know or found on forums really) or 2) Learn how to make WinKawaks works with LaunchBox (read about scripts that work, i don't know or found on forums really) Can someone help me with these please? I would really apreciate it.
  10. Hello all, the issue I'm having is with Capcom play system 2, my roms and emulator works just well I use Kawaks with the cps and cps 2 rom sets. The issue is when I add them to launch box and edit the individual rom to get the proper names box art etc. Launch box moves the rom out of the platform and makes a new play list called arcade or a duplicate cps 2 playlist which only has the edited rom with the proper name in it. If I rename all the roms to the proper name and in this case global rom may be a Euro rom but i want to use the USA version being i have both roms i can load the usa version. With this issue if i rename all roms and delete the old set nothing will launch. It sucks having to have the zip file name and duplicates in the platform catagory for cps 2. Anyone found a way to work around this issue? I"m pretty certain its something simple that I am missing.
  11. So this has been driving me crazy for way too long. All i want is for my various arcade systems to display their system specific overlays when running a rom. I want my CPS1 one games to use the CPS1 overlay, the CPS2 games to use the CPS2 overlay, the Konami classics to use their Konami Classics overlay, etc. Ill try to explain what I have done but maybe I am doing something wrong that is keeping this from working. I load up launchbox and click on manage emulators. First off I do have an "Arcade" category that covers all of my games. This is using the mame_libretro core. My parameters for this Associated Platform are: -L "cores\mame_libretro -c "config\mame_libretro.cfg" with the default box checked. This works all fine and great and I can use the MAME overlay and shaders with no problem. When I create an Associated Platform Capcom Play System with the Default Command Line Parameters set to -L "cores\fbalpha2012_cps1_libretro.dll" -c "config\fbalpha2012_cps1_libretro.cfg" with the Default Emulator box checked Launchbox continues to open Retroarch with the mame-libretro core. This also happens no matter what order I change in the Default Emulator boxes between the mame core and the fbalpha 2012 cps1 core. Also, I get the same outcome when I setup the CPS2 and CPS3 cores. The only way I can get Retroarch to fire up if I select to play a cps1 game is if I change the Default Line Parameters for Arcade under the Associated Platform column in the Manage Emulators menu to the fb alpha parameters. Another thing that I find weird is that if I open retroarch, load up a core, and then load the config file for that core the application closes down. Not sure if this is normal. I would love any help, if possible. I tried to include as much information as I could in this post to help further a solution. The only thing that I have not tried is deleting all of my games within Launchbox and then re-importing each platform individually and setting up their parameters, rather than importing them all as just a general Arcade category using one MAME core to run them all.
  12. Hi Folks, I am slowly working my way around Launchbox and I have to say the learning curve is much easier than Hyperspin ever was. I do, however, like both for their own reasons. I have a couple of quick questions. 1. Within Launchbox I am presented with my list of games. When I click on a game to see the details, a background image (Fan Art) loads behind all of the game icons. I would prefer a black or static background, as I find it hard to see the other game icons once one game has been selected. Is this possible? 2. Capcom Play System 2 -Should I bother? I have got FBAlpha up and running with CPS1, but cannot get a single CPS2 game to load with FBAlpha or the Retroarch FBAlpha core. I have followed the same import and emulator assignments as I used for CPS1, but there is no "1944" or "Marvel vs. Capcom" love for me. I get a full screen of darkness and then it flickers back to Launchbox and then back to a full screen of darkness again. It is not a big deal, but I was hoping to separate all systems into their own platforms e.g. NES, Super NES, MAME Arcade, CP1 Arcade, CPS2 Arcade, NeoGeo Arcade etc. It looks like FB Alpha knows to load the rom, but is looking for something else to help it along. I have attached a list of the games I am trying to get running (CPS2 Games Collection) and a list of the roms I have for these games (CPS2 Roms Collection). Maybe someone else here can see what I have overlooked. Cheers. John CPS2 Games Collection.rtf CPS2 Roms Collection.txt
