Machtendo - Bezels Set ( v1.0 = 175 Bezels) - LaunchBox Community Appreciation Hello, all! I was inspired by the work of a few users here in the community to teach myself how to use Photoshop and I wanted to create my own unique set of bezels. I taught myself just enough Photoshop to accomplish what I'd hoped to accomplish. I made these for myself because I loved so many of the different styles and sets I'd seen on here, which varied widely - but I wanted a more uniformed set that I felt would work well with Viking's Colorful (Dark) Theme. I decided that I'd go ahead and post them here, to express my gratitude for all the hard work everyone has put in to make LaunchBox what it is. Since I am interested to learn more Photoshop, I think I'm going to continue experimenting with these. If the community seems to like them, I'll post an update every so often. If anyone has any feedback or tips, I'm always willing to learn! Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Usage: I use these in RetroArch, I personally set the Configuration up by Content Directory in the ../config/[emulator] folder. In these config files, I point to the overlay file path with integer scaling turned on, with the opacity set to 1.0. I'll post a sample config later on. Categories: Generic or Abstract = 6 Platforms = 129 Games\Series = 10 Games\Individual = 30 Total = 175 Credit for the original artwork: @Orionsangel - @JRPGod - @nadonate - @Kondorito - @ci2own - @harryoke Also, super appreciative of @Jason Carr for creating and maintaining LaunchBox in the first place

  3. Hey guys, it's been a while since I last posted. I got moved and everything is all good now. My question is I run LaunchBox on my main PC using MAME & RetroArch (Windows 10 O/S) and it's wonderful. Does everything I need it to and I don't have a single issue. Now I have a second PC that's totally offline because it's connected to a consumer Sony Trinitron CRT using a component transcoder and hacked video driver (CRT_EMUDRIVER) plus Windows 7 (640X480) desktop resolution. which then allows me to run GroovyMAME in 240P @ 15kHz Is there a way with my main PC to create some image and setup that will allow me to run some barebones version of Launchbox with some theme and artwork/videos for this offline setup? I'm assuming here that LB requires modern dependencies and such so there would be problems with offline and old non-updated O/S [Feature Request] A current updated version of LB that's licensed has an option to create an image of a basic version of LB (doesn't need to be latest version with all bells & whistles) that would work with GroovyMAME on offline PC If this is already possible, please tell me how. Thanks!!

Hi, I've designed this theme to work with every 4:3 resolution up to 3200x2400. I did the graphics and @wallmachine did the coding. This theme is a variant of the ARCANE theme. I changed some codes and did a new Platform View and added some new graphic. The theme uses custom banners for each platform showing the corrispettive controller, if you want a specific platform banner let me know (Note that i didn't draw all the banners, i search and modify other images). The theme also uses custom platform logos. If you have questions or problems, let me know! PS: Sorry for my english. Notes: At the moment i no longer support the theme, sorry. At the moment only supports 2 views as shown in the screens, Game list: Vertical Wheel 1, Platform list: Platform Wheel 1. Any other views will be the default theme one. Install the font inside the zip file in order to make the theme work. If you don't like the icons in the platform wheel (the star and the clock) i've put a background without them in Images\Core, simply overwrite the old background with the new one. The playmode icons work like this: The icons with the plus sign are for all the modes with more than 2 players and for the multiplayer tag. For the modes "Alternating" the icons will be trasparent. For the non-favorited games, the star will appear black and trasparent, otherwise will appear yellow. Features: The platform view shows the controller of the system selected, and the Favorited\Recent games wheels. The game view shows a playmode icon and a favorited icon. Under the game title shows the Publisher - Genres - Year of the game, And of course the Video\Screenshot with the Front cover. Video\Screenshots don't stretch but they maintain aspect ratio, so for example vertical arcade games do not look weird. For videos and screenshots that doesn't have 4:3 aspect ratio will have black bars to avoid stretching. Known issues: The videos and screenshots with low res (320x240) scales at 300x240 with black bars on the right\left sides, even though the grid has the same aspect ratio. However this doesn't happen with videos\screenshots with 640x480+ res. The genres are seperated like this "Action;Platform" but i would like to separe them like this "Action, Platform" But i don't know how to do it. Currently supported custom banners and logos:
  5. FluxCRT View File FluxCRT is a relatively simple text view-based retro theme. It's designed for 16:9 monitors and displays filter and game videos (or screenshots) in a 4:3 format, using the Ao.Bigbox.Themer video engine. FluxCRT applies a CRT barrel distortion effect when using Windows Media Player. It's bundled with a collection of category, playlist, and platform banners; to which one can easily add their own banners. Due to its reliance on certain plugin features, the current version of this theme requires LB version 10+. CUSTOMIZATION: See bundled PDF documents. FluxCRT was designed and tested on a 1920x1080 display with 100% (default) text scaling, so you might need to adjust the font sizes (should pertain to options page only) if your display is otherwise; edit the font sizes at the top part of FluxCRT.xaml in the Styles directory as needed. WOOTLAUNCHER INTEGRATION: FluxCRT integrates with WootLauncher... WootLauncher-v1.3.mp4 https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1619-wootlauncher/ EMULATOR OVERLAYS: These overlays should pair nicely with this theme: NOTE: Unblocking the ZIP file will also unblock the DLLs (e.g., Ao.Bigbox.Themer.dll and others) contained therein, giving your computer permission to run these DLLs. This is an issue with all plugins you might download from this forum. It's a Windows security feature. You basically have to vouch for a file before Windows will use it. I liken it to how a MS office document you download from an email runs in Protected Mode until you unblock it for printing, editing, etc. Below is the error you'll see if you don't unblock the file, as well as a screenshot of the solution. 6. Hi everyone, i've designed a 4:3 theme for my arcade cabinet.. but since i don't know how to code it (i tried with visual studio with no results) i figured i would try to ask here if anyone wants to help. I hope you guys like it, i think it would be nice for the community to have more 4:3 themes. The current design is 800x600 but i will be using it with a 640x480 resolution. Here are all the resource files, in the psd files is pretty much all explained and you can see the colors and shadows settings. But i will also give a description here. If something isn't doable let me know and i will adjust things. 1. This is the Favorited games wheel (centered in the grid) if it can contain all the favorited games of the platform would be great. And i would like to access it with the UP key bind. 2. This is the Platform wheel (centered in the grid), i would like it like the Foundamental theme (the selected one bigger and the rest smaller with fade effect) Also i would like it to contain more logos if possible. 3. This is the Recent games wheel (centered in the grid) last 10 recent games would be enough. And i would like to access it with the DOWN key bind. 1 and 3. The front boxes have a shadow effect like this (you can see the shadow settings in the psd files). 1. This is the Games wheel (centered in the grid), i would like it like the Foundamental theme (the selected one bigger and the rest smaller with fade effect) Also i would like it to contain more logos if possible. 2. This is the game title (centered in the grid), has a gradient color and a shadow effect (you can see the settings in the psd files). 3. This are game information (centered in the grid), White text with shadow effect and overall 45% opacity (you can see the settings in the psd files) And contais tags in this format "Developer - Genre - Year" i don't know if its possible to do it like this, also for the games that have more than one genre tag i would like if it displays only the first one, so if its like Action;Platform it displays only Action same thing for Developer tags. 4. This is the Screenshot - Video (centered in the grid), with shadow effect (you can see the settings in the psd files) and the corners have a 10px radius like this. 5. This is the PlayMode icon (centered in the grid) in the resource files are all the icons. 6. This is the Favorited game icon (centered in the grid) if possible i've put an icon for No-Favorited games aswell, in the resource files are all the icons. 7. This is the Front box (aligned bottom right in the grid) with no shadow effect. NOTE: in the psd files all shadows are made with OuterGlow effect with Black to make a shadows that spread out in all corners. Like this, and have differents settings and opacity (you can check on the psd files). If someone is interested in coding this and have questions etc you can either post here or add me on Discord where i'm always online and i can reply right away (Jack#0189) Also if you wanna make it more complete i can do the grapich part. Sorry for my english and thanks.

  8. Mame allows us to activate the filter HLSL, which brings us back to what was the quality of a CRT monitor also on our LCD . The problem is that the HLSL filter is very heavy for the CPU and Baytrail Cherrytrail . I wonder if maybe someone has guessed some configuration where he managed to run the HLSL filter on these CPU Intel , Otherwise, it is not easy to find a low-cost mini PC that has an Nvidia GPU inside to activate these filters without any suffering.
  9. What would be the best way of setting the vertical games to use a different shader in RetroArch when I load those? I am currently using a MAME romset in Launchbox (Arcade Platform) set to launch RetroArch MAME 0.170 core. The shader I like to use for horizontal games is crt-royale-kurozumi.cgp. This shader does not work for vertical but I found one that does. I just don't really know the best way of going about configuring all the vertical games to use another shader. If anyone knows, Thanks for the help!
