Hi, just a quick question. I always makesure when importing a system that all games match the LaunchBox DB tags, my question is, will these auto update when new/edited Meta is edited, E.G. Someone changes the year or updates publishers?
I've been going through the SNES DB and making contributions where I can and fixing things I am 110% sure on while building my collection. However I added an alternative name for the SNES game Smart Ball. After submitting it I realized the name was not correct and not knowing how to retract the submission I put in another one saying that that submission and the previous one should be rejected... And now they both have +2 for approval lol. Maybe if there already isn't, add a retract submission option in the change status page for your account, before they are implemented. Peace.
Hey guys! I have a request for anyone that is willing to help, I have been working non-stop on filling the console data for the LBDB the past few days but I need help with making the images look nice that I found! It will not only help me but also Jason and Vlansix as well. Here's the link to the thread and any image with a URL is fair game to edit. Thanks!
I'm far from an expert on programming, but creating a script for matching a game name from the Launchbox DB and to artwork with the same name on a website should be fairly easy to automate right? Here are some sites I recommend for quality box art that could help fill in the gaps. No it won't be perfect but a few low-quality duds out of 1,000s of games fixed seems a whole lot better than no artwork for any of them at all. If the process can't be automated, no harm no foul, still some great resources for everyone to have for manually updating the LB DB. http://www.thecoverproject.
