I designed some overlays for my 4K TV since I couldn't find any at that resolution at the quality I was looking for. I'm in the process of creating more systems in Photoshop, but the console themed designs take quite a while at 4K resolution. Many of these are inspired by the consoles design, so they aren’t 100% accurate to the source, they are just formatted to look nice as bezels/overlays. These overlays are designed to maximize screen real estate (IE no integer scaling), so there is no gap on the top and bottom of the screen. Use standard 4:3 aspect ratio or custom scaling. So, I won't be creating designs for consoles / handhelds that display primarily in 16:9, as doing that requires shrinking the game. I use the CRT_Geom shader with these settings changed and the screens are curved exactly where they need to be: CRT Geom Curvature Radius: 3.00 CRT Corner Size: 0.00 CRT Geom Sharpness: 3.00

  3. hello, I manage to get FBA wotking with launchbox . But when I goto full screen it does this -a black screen with the game in the middle on low res When I play around with the res settings it pops up with a error "Problem setting '1357895832x1357896096x0bpp (oHz)' display mode." then goes back to a windows screen to play the game. Any idea how to fit it ?
  4. Hi all, I want to know if replacing Mame with Retroarch core FBA libretto 2012 or FBA libretto is a good idea ? I want to use retroarch shader in Arcade games for better rendering. Thanks.
  5. Retroarch loads all cps2 games with FBAlpha2012 but it just sounds terrible like sand in a piece of glass. On the other side when i load my games from WinKawaks (CPS2 and NeoGeo specific) it sounds perfectly! The problem is when WinKawaks is set as emulator on LaunchBox it does not load the game automatically, it apparently needs some kind of script add. So it leaves me two options: 1) Solve the retroarch sound problem (read about nigtly builds that work better the sound or past cores, i don't know or found on forums really) or 2) Learn how to make WinKawaks works with LaunchBox (read about scripts that work, i don't know or found on forums really) Can someone help me with these please? I would really apreciate it.
  6. Hi, new to LaunchBox and first post here. I've come over from the land of Retropie, where a few hard working folks have compiled a merged Arcade set by working out the best emulator for each game from MAME2003, MAME2010 and FBA, all placed into a single Arcade folder with a config file to tell the system which emulator to load for each game. This approach avoids having multiple versions of the same game on board and the struggle of having to remember which core to use for each game. I'd like to use a similar setup in LaunchBox on the PC, but there are a couple of differences this time round: - The extra power from the PC means some games may be more playable in later MAME versions (Retropie advise sticking to MAME2003 by default due to its lower power requirements over later, more accurate MAME versions) - I'm not sure of the best way to implement a setup like this in LB, but I guess it would involve trimming down the ROM set for each emulator to avoid duplicates, importing them as separate systems, then creating a merged 'Arcade' playlist? Has anybody worked on something similar before? Surely others have tried something similar to go through the game list and document which games are best to run in MAME and which ones to run in FBA for example? Not to mention all the other arcade emulators available on the PC platform!
