I designed some overlays for my 4K TV since I couldn't find any at that resolution at the quality I was looking for. I'm in the process of creating more systems in Photoshop, but the console themed designs take quite a while at 4K resolution. Many of these are inspired by the consoles design, so they aren’t 100% accurate to the source, they are just formatted to look nice as bezels/overlays. These overlays are designed to maximize screen real estate (IE no integer scaling), so there is no gap on the top and bottom of the screen. Use standard 4:3 aspect ratio or custom scaling. So, I won't be creating designs for consoles / handhelds that display primarily in 16:9, as doing that requires shrinking the game. I use the CRT_Geom shader with these settings changed and the screens are curved exactly where they need to be: CRT Geom Curvature Radius: 3.00 CRT Corner Size: 0.00 CRT Geom Sharpness: 3.00

This file contains the complete cover set for all Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) games released in the United Kingdom Region and in the EU cover variant. All files have been collated by myself from the various repositories on the Internet and have been retouched where required and resized to uniform ratio. The quality does vary between the covers based on the source files available but images are scaled to the best quality size available. Image sizes in the pack are: 500x725, 750x1087, 1000x1450, 1500x2147, 2000x2900 If you are aware of better quality variants of the covers in this pack please let me know and I will update the pack as required. It should be noted that all are the original covers with the exception of Lethal Enforcers 2 which I could not find a high enough quality version of and so I have adapted the US cover to the EU style box to make this a complete set.

Hi everyone, a very little contribution ... Cut it and paste in .\LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\###\Banner ###: the name of your system Useless part, my reasons: I wanted to do a hyperspin theme before, but finally I prefer the BigBox, I do not know if I could customize as I wish. But for the while, with some of my work, I made this icon for the menu launcher. I hope you enjoy. I keep the same idea as the basic model that shows "16-bit ...." I found it very cool ... I hope to come back to post a theme for BigBox, which mean that I did what I want to do (animate a background with a grid of neon scrolling made with blender and some other things...). This is the first version of the system, my pretty machine, I cleaned it regulary with specific oil (really ^ ^) to maintain its brightness ... I think it must be the European version, or PAL. In any case, it was the one we have in France ... the red was the 60hz (U.S version for us), knowed to not to have the cropped image and to be a little faster. It's a tribute for this legendary machine for me... As you can see it's not called "genesis" but "megadrive", another difference. Cya and sorry for my english.

These are some platform videos I have made to fill gaps in my setup that had not previously been done. I use Viking's Nostalgia theme, so the videos are in that style. They might not be as great as Viking's quality work but they do the job. I like to split some of my systems up into different categories/platforms. As the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive is my favorite system I have split it up into what you will find here. Ok. So I tried to be as creative with this set as possible. There were alot of different packaging variants for the Sega Genesis. I think I got all of them right. Slide covers, unfold covers, pull offs, and Cases. I included tons of Hack Cases I made from scratch. I Included 3 different variants for Revenge of shinobi, as there are different versions for that game with significant differences! I hope you guys enjoy this pack, It's one of my favorite ones I've worked on I will upload the other Sega Mega Drive Regions soon.

  15. Here is a video of some custom videos and platform clear logos I have made for the SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis which is my favorite console. I like to split some of the systems up into various regions and categories etc. Number 1 and 4 in the list are the standard ones created by @viking and the rest I did myself. The first minute of the video is scrolling down to the MD / Gen. The regions and categories are: SEGA Genesis SEGA Mega Drive (Brazil) SEGA Mega Drive (China) SEGA Mega Drive (Europe) SEGA Mega Drive (Japan) SEGA Mega Drive (Prototypes) SEGA Mega Drive (SEGA Game Toshokan) SEGA Mega Drive (Sonic Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (SOR Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (Translations) SEGA Mega Drive (Unlicensed) I have made other custom videos and the likes for other platforms but will show it all off when I have completely finished, probably in fifty years. The video is unlisted on YouTube so if there is any problems viewing it let me know and I will change it.
  16. I have MESSUI64 set as my default emulator for Genesis roms and when using the MESS program on its own, without Launchbox, I can get my Genesis roms to run just the way I want, with correct full screen 4:3 ratio and really nice looking scanlines and saves states and preset volume control and everything I love about Mame that I can never get working properly on other Genesis emulators. So I was really dissapointed when I tried launcing some roms through LB. I can get them to run (using: genesis -cart -skip_gameinfo -nowindow as the command line prompt) but it will not use any of the settings I have stored in MESS and it gives me ugly stretched looking games that are in the wrong ratio, plus all the controller and keyboard settings are totally messed up. I have tried adding extra command line prompts (like -effect Scanlines75dx4_J4.png etc) but none of these seem to work or maybe I have the syntax wrong? I really want to work this out because because I'm hoping to run other systems like NES and SNES through MESS as well, because I prefer the usability and options in MESS a lot. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks
  17. Hi to all! Just bought premium and started to modify my collection with Launchbox! What i'm searching for is Sega genesis cartridges. I've already got NES cartridges from emumovies: https://emumovies.com/files/file/1615-nes-cartridge-pack-3d-vector/ https://emumovies.com/files/file/1480-nes-cartridge-pack/ And i'm searching for something similiar to this. But the only one Genesis pack that i found is - https://emumovies.com/files/file/1189-genesis-2d-cartridge-pack-raw/ Not a bad one, but NES packs looks more cleaner maybe. I don't have Emumovies paid account, is there any other genesis packs on Emumovies ftp or section for paid accounts (not sure how it really works there)? Thanks, great community here! and sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language

  22. So I've been doing my best to collect USB adapters (typically Mayflash) and original controllers. Often times original controllers require a LOT of maintenance to workout just right.I think that getting the "original" experience is what drives me the most for this. I mean, I've played through a lot of SNES classics with an XBOX 360 controller, but it never feels right. So I've been getting USB adapters and original controllers. But I wanted to know if the USB controller "knock offs" were any good. By knock off, I mean non-nintendo/sega branded controllers that look like the original SNES/Genesis/whatever controllers, but use USB to directly plug into your PC. I see them all over Amazon, and some are reasonably priced, but I know some cheaper electronics are as sturdy as cardboard (plastic can break from moderate use). But is it worth while to hunt down original parts and restore them? Or do these USB controllers work alright? My collection currently lacks NES, SNES, and Genesis. I already have adapters and original controllers for everything else from my childhood.

  24. I can confirm the roms are working and that the emulator loads them fine when selected from within the emulator. It just seems that theres something wrong with the default command line set up for this emulator. When a rom is opened from within launchbox, the emulator opens but it says something odd in the title bar "file was downloaded from <a href='h". It also says checksum incorrect in the bottom right but as I said all the roms work fine when loaded from the emulator. I just get this error when atempting to load from launchbox. Any help would be apreiciated. I've already tried messing about with the command parameters to no avail.
