Hello I have a small idea regarding how a game would be launched when you select it. For instance lets say I select the Nintendo 64 and i choose a game, I thought it would be interesting to show an animation of the animated system turning on and a rom inserted it. Also for disc orientated systems such as the PlayStation 1, we could get a close up of the console being opened and the disc you selected inserted and instead of closing it, to make it more interesting you would see the disk start to spin, then your game would launch. Another small feature would be the boot up sound some systems make, that you hear when turning them on could be added to make it more realistic. Of coarse all system animations would be different, I would love feedback on this idea since i'm not sure it would even be possible. Thanks!
Hello this is my first post, and I've got an idea that I would like to be made if possible, or some input.Well I was born in 95, but I grew up with the PlayStation 1 and N64, so when I was young I got this PlayStation 1 demo disc from Toys R Us i think and it came with a set of demos, that where outlined with boxes that showed game-play, with some rock music. Example(Skip to 17:18 for the interface) Not although this design is exclusive to the ps1 i'm sure it could be applied to all consoles. I would love to make custom themes myself, but I don't know the proper language to create an interface, but would appreciated being pointed in the right direction. Example2(Skip to 9:08 for the Interface) Alternate(Skip to 2:05) for the interface) I would love input & feedback Thanks!
Hello and good morning guys! I am so happy That I've purchased LaunchBox! Now i have this cool idea we play our games. The old games having achievements, also i think you can create your own. It would be a lovely combination, leaderboards, all of the cool stuff. I'd love to see this happen Retro Achievements
Hey guys, I've just started using LaunchBox, and I can already tell you that it is beyond all other applications. Management is a complete cinch! My only issue I've conceived so far is that while I can add a tonne of emulators to the application, some of my games are stored in compressed archives while aren't. This isn't a problem, but what is is remember how I'm handling some of these things on the backend. For example, while I have retroarch extracting archives prior to booting them, I have PCSX2 not doing so, and instead having the emulator handle the decompression with their own method. I also know that I've modified the data of some of the games in my collection for one reason or another. It'd be nice if, within the menus for emulators and games, I was able to leave myself helpful little notes to review if I ever encounter and issue and need to change anything. I know that this is kind of technically possible with a commented out message within the autokey header, but I'd rather avoid that for the sake of keeping things clean. I'm not sure if this is really a feature that people are going to want, as I know that we could just keep a little notepad file somewhere, but I thought it might help people who are arranging complex setups. Cheers, Dazz
