  6. Hey Everyone. Here is a sneak peak of some things to come in my NES Hack pack in the future! I completed a Roll-Chan set with a template I made, and also some Metroid Boxes i'm proud of. Everything is from the ground up. Upon release, I will include Wheel art for all of my customs so no need to worry! I don't care if you "save as" but, you will receive much better quality when the pack is released. Samples Below, thanks for your time

natural 3d box set for the Nintendo Entertainment system. Have you ever been annoyed by the fact that the boxes don't match your childhood memories? are you fed up with the way the spine is projected to far back? With this new box set your childhood experiences will be vindicated, no longer will your boxes be off, but instead they are spot on.... omg I can't believe it..
  9. Hey all, I'm new to LaunchBox but looking for some assistance with Nestopia; whenever I launch a game and set it to run full screen all starts up fine, runs perfectly etc - issue is occurring when I try to exit a game in BigBox or LaunchBox. When tapping ESC (or similarly assigned controller hotkey, the game appears to attempt to exit out (goes to black screen with menu bar at the top) before returning to the game I was playing; trying again just loops this behaviour. Essentially I can exit out by pressing alt+enter or shift+tab but part of the joy of LaunchBox was being able to fully navigate etc using a controller and meant I could be lazy and not get up off of the couch... I've also successfully got N64 and SNES emus up and running and can exit out of those with no issues so I'm curious to know whether I'm overlooking a simple setting somewhere with this one? Thanks!

  11. This issues has been driving me nuts for weeks. I can’t seem to figure it out. I’m trying to configure Retroarch for the first time. I want to use it to emulate NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, etc on my Arcade. The arcade has an Xtension 2 player control panel, configured for keyboard inputs. Works just fine with MAME games & the standalone MAME emulator. But I’m just focusing on NES & Retroarch for now. This should be simple, since I just need to enter control inputs for up, down, left, right, A, B, Start & Select. I just can’t figure out Retroarch. I’ll load the NES core in Retroarch (NestopiaUE), then go to Input and then Input User 1 Binds. I assume these are the general inputs for Retroarch overall. Not sure if I need to setup a config file for each core tho. This should be simple, but it’s not. I head down to the User 1 D-pad settings. The correct settings should be up, down, left, right arrow keys. When I press enter to change & then press down on my joystick, the key is changed to keypad2, not down. So all my settings are set to keypad8, keypad2, keypad4, keypad6. It doesn’t matter if I enter inputs with the joystick or arrow keys on the keyboard. Doesn’t matter if the keyboard number lock is on or off. So when I launch an NES game, the joystick controls do not work. I’m at a loss how to fix. I suppose I could manually change the config file in notepad++, but I cannot locate the config file on my hard drive, and I’m not sure if config files need to be made for each core. And if individual config files need to be created, how do I get them to launch with each Retroarch core? Setting up my Arcade has been a ongoing battle every step of the way. So damn frustrating. This shit is going to take me years. Any help appreciated.

This is my first Platform video. I hope you guys like it. I noticed a major lack of platform videos here, so I was planning on creating more to go with my favorite consoles, including a separate version for Sega CD to differentiate from Genesis/Mega Drive. It features gameplay done by me, so don't be too harsh on my Ninja Gaiden, and TMNT skill, lol. Hope you enjoy it, and look for more in the future. Stylized to be somewhat retro, and tacky just like like the era that was defined by this system. Please let me know what you think of it, and I can adjust my next video accordingly.

  20. For most people emulating the NES through Retroarch using either the Nestopia or FCEUX cores is plenty good and is by no means a terrible way to emulate the NES. But for anyone looking for better emulation I would like to recommend the emulator PuNES. This emulation has a 96.2% accuracy according to TASVideos testing http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/NESAccuracyTests.html This emulator is pretty freaking awesome. After playing around with it for a while I like it a lot. It supports Retroarchs CG shaders, though not every single shader preset will work but crt-hyllian does and that is a very good shader. It also supports the Famicom Disk System and you can bind controller buttons to eject and flip disks like in Retroarch. You will need the DISKSYS.ROM file in the emulator directory for FDS support of course. Anyways, just wanted to make this emulator known for people who maybe do not know about this fine piece of work. Link for the emulator: http://forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6928 Edit: And before anyone jumps in with Nestopia and FCEUX being perfect. No NES emulator is perfect at the moment and it is not due to lack of cpu power or effort. It is because there are literally hundreds of custom mapper chips that came inside the cartridges and they all need to emulated individually. No emulator right now emulates 100% of them but PuNES and Mesen are the two closest.
