  1. Like many people here I am a RetroArch whore That means I use Overlays to add borders to some things...To fair I dont actually use many overlays but then again my setup has never been polished and tends to be a testing ground more than an actual game machine. Cant help but tinker.... Anyway I totally love bezel artwork and enjoy collecting bezels for all systems (not so much Arcade) I would love to put a big global pack together in Metalzoic's Mega Bezel Pack style (if your familiar) for everything except Arcade.....PM me if your interested. I guess the size of a pack like that will probably need a home on a decent server. I expect EmuMovies is the obvious place if they will have it. So here are my ongoing projects.... Adding Overlays to the Libretro Repo's...They are free to download from the below links. Just click "clone" and "download as zip" Console Type Mainly or Collections like @Nyny77 and @nosh at the moment. https://github.com/libretro/overlay-borders Arcade Type (RetroArch is well suited to Arcade Overlays....best use MAME or RocketLauncher) https://github.com/libretro/arcade-overlays I also just started helping out @JamesBaker with his Bezel efforts All that info will be here eventually http://emulationguide.com/james-baker or his YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxNgRrtLSth94xOHNUHqUfw @MetalVinnie are you cool for me to share your New Black Box NES bezels in the above places? (When time permits) If you missed those they are here I LOVE A BEZEL
  2. These custom console themed overlays were made by me to play retro console games on Retroarch. I wanted these overlays to evoke a nostalgic feeling. Please enjoy and have fun. Please give me credit if you use it on your channel. Thanks. You can download them here - https://bit.ly/2qRffPJ Here's a Tutorial on how to add them to Retroarch. Please donate if you can. So I can keep bringing you more bezels. It's appreciated. 👍 https://www.paypal.me/orionsangel

Following @CriticalCid awesome Unified theme project, and so you can seamlessly transition from the theme to the emulator, this pack consists of each of the +200 system backgrounds, made as overlays in 1080p, 3 variations each. IMPORTANT (In case you will be using these pngs with Retroarch): Overlays require at least one image (.png) and a configuration file (.cfg) in order to activate them. The configuration file should have the exact same name as the image file. DO NOT use spaces in the filenames (for this pack you will need to remove the spaces from the file names). These files (the png and its corresponding cfg) should be placed together in the libretro overlay folder. In order to activate an overlay, go to the RetroArch Settings menu. Find the Onscreen Display submenu. From this menu you can activate the Overlay system and select which overlay file to display. Example: 4:3 with integer scale 4:3 with integer scale and a drop shadow 4:3 full screen

  10. I got the rocket launcher to make overlays happen for each my systems but the issue is when I get to sega game gear. I need to push scale to 1.45 and have rest at 1.0.

  13. Im trying to have platform bezels setup on retroarch but there doesnt seem to be any info out there on how to make this work. Does anyone have a link of any kind on where I need to add these and have them active? Id like to slowly add game specific bezels eventually but I thought I would start with something a bit easier first. These are the bezels I have downloaded and look to use
  14. So this has been driving me crazy for way too long. All i want is for my various arcade systems to display their system specific overlays when running a rom. I want my CPS1 one games to use the CPS1 overlay, the CPS2 games to use the CPS2 overlay, the Konami classics to use their Konami Classics overlay, etc. Ill try to explain what I have done but maybe I am doing something wrong that is keeping this from working. I load up launchbox and click on manage emulators. First off I do have an "Arcade" category that covers all of my games. This is using the mame_libretro core. My parameters for this Associated Platform are: -L "cores\mame_libretro -c "config\mame_libretro.cfg" with the default box checked. This works all fine and great and I can use the MAME overlay and shaders with no problem. When I create an Associated Platform Capcom Play System with the Default Command Line Parameters set to -L "cores\fbalpha2012_cps1_libretro.dll" -c "config\fbalpha2012_cps1_libretro.cfg" with the Default Emulator box checked Launchbox continues to open Retroarch with the mame-libretro core. This also happens no matter what order I change in the Default Emulator boxes between the mame core and the fbalpha 2012 cps1 core. Also, I get the same outcome when I setup the CPS2 and CPS3 cores. The only way I can get Retroarch to fire up if I select to play a cps1 game is if I change the Default Line Parameters for Arcade under the Associated Platform column in the Manage Emulators menu to the fb alpha parameters. Another thing that I find weird is that if I open retroarch, load up a core, and then load the config file for that core the application closes down. Not sure if this is normal. I would love any help, if possible. I tried to include as much information as I could in this post to help further a solution. The only thing that I have not tried is deleting all of my games within Launchbox and then re-importing each platform individually and setting up their parameters, rather than importing them all as just a general Arcade category using one MAME core to run them all.
  15. Just wanted to ask you guys if you knew how to use overlays in RetroArch? Do you guys know how to apply an overlay for a specific console and apply an overlay on a game per game basis, like in the case of the overlays for each Vectrex game?
  16. So, I've begun work on making custom overlay & "hint" graphics, and found a really nice pack some awesome people put together and made available over here at Open Game Art. I've attached the whole thing here (so we've got it in case the original host goes down), as well as some examples out of this pack in case you're wondering what these look like. These seem to be nice vector images, with most buttons 100x100, which is smallish in the grand scheme of things but just about perfect for use as on-screen help graphics.
