About Me

  1. Version 2.0.0

Hey guys! In the last few days I added the 'Recently Played' auto-populating playlist to my set, and I was bummed to realize that there is no media for this category (that I could find), so I went ahead and created two simple videos and a clear logo to go with them. I am nowhere near the great video creators from this forum (I would have loved to make a video with a synced equalizer, and graphics flying all over the place hehe), so be easy on me. Option 1 Disclaimer; the video source clips and song are from Polygon.com by Reverse Enginears featuring P Sus. I edited stuff in and out, changed resolutions, times, blurs, fades, etc. Recently Played.mp4 Option 2 (ALT) Disclaimer; the video source is a fan-video made by Kriskappashox and FreankExpo's Staff. The song used is "Donkey Kong REMIX [Super Bass Boosted]" by San Holo. Recently Played ALT.mp4 Option 3 (ALT 2) Disclaimer; the video source is from YT user 4096 called "Evolution of Game Cartridge". The song used is "Donkey Kong REMIX [Super Bass Boosted]" by San Holo. Recently Played ALT 2.mp4 You can also grab the logo I made that goes along with the videos. The bitten gamepad is based on an idea from designevo. If somebody wants to improve or create a video/logo for this category, please be my guest; the more options the merrier Enjoy!

Hi, First time submitting files on here, so forgive me if miss anything. I noticed I couldn't exactly find what I was looking for (a consistent playlist design) so I ended up creating them myself. The zip file attached is a copy of all my MAME playlist banners (I didn't create them all). I have also added the template I used to create the ones which were missing.
  3. i made this video watch it i hope all of you out there enjoy
  4. Hi I have a collection of Amiga games separated in to ADF and WDHLoad files. And under that separated into A, B, C folders. I'm trying to reflect that under Platform Categories. But if I create a Category then I can't include/exclude games which creates an item with all amiga games. If I create a playlist then I don't seam to be able to create a playlist underneath that. It is created on the filesystem but it does not show up in LaunchBox. What I'm trying to archive is something like: Amiga +- ADF (only files where path is like /adf/ ) +- A (only files where path is like /adf/a/ ) +- B ... +- WhdLoad (only files where path is like /whdload/ ) +- A (only files where path is like /whdload/a/ ) +- B ... Is what i'm trying even possible? I'm using v 13.0

About: Use this plugin to quickly convert from a Hyperspin collection to a Launchbox playlist. Choose a Hyperspin database XML file and this program will compare the rom names for all games in the Hyperspin XML file to the rom names for all of your installed Launchbox games. Any games with matching rom names will be added to the new Launchbox playlist. Installation: Copy RB_CreatePlaylistFromHyperspinXML.dll to the LaunchBox/Plugins folder. Restart Launchbox. Usage: In Launchbox, select Tools->"Create playlist from Hyperspin XML" from the dropdown system menu. Select the Hyperspin XML file to import from. Choose which Launchbox platforms to pull games from. Enter a name for the new Launchbox playlist. Click "Create Playlist". Update History: 1.0.1 - Added the option to specify which platform(s) to search. - Added option to include hidden games. - Added option to include broken games. 1.0.2 - Available platforms are now listed in alphabetical order.

Hi all friends! I have created this playlist to make it easier when you want to play retroAchievements for arcade! I have added 207 games MANUALLY!!! 🤣 You can find the original list here: https://retroachievements.org/gameList.php?c=27 there are 211 games in total BUT: -Street Fighter Alpha 3 | Street Fighter Zero 3 [Subset - Bonus] -Tetris the Absolute: The Grand Master 2 Plus Are in the parent games, so you have togheter the first rom. And ~Hack~ Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Plus ---> it is not in the mame, I have not understand where I can find it. Also monkey ball bin is not in the mame but I have added the mame version (you have to change that) ~Prototype~ Marble Madness 2: Marble Man ---> I have set 242 and this game is available if you got 245 or newer... You can find also a logo that I have created using the original RetroAchievement logo. If I am inspired I'll prepare also a video...we'll see I hope you enjoy this Have fun!
  7. Having a parameter like this in place would make it easier to make auto-populated playlists with games with the top star-ratings in an extensive collection, while also weeding out obscure games with a single digit amount of star ratings. Among some of the most revered games of all time, it is not uncommon to see the most unknown arcade games or licensed kids games for GBC all because they have one 5-star rating. If one had the ability to limit the resulting titles to those that have been rated, say, at least 10 times, it would create a better-curated collection of heavy hitters, and automatically, too! It would also be great to have the option to arrange game collections or playlists by "amount of star ratings", as Launchbox's star-rating count can often show which games are the most popular among users.

I've been creating these simple but fun videos to go with each collection I create using the Unified Refried 2.0 collections. They can be used for any collection but go great with the built-in ones in Unified Refried 2.0. Also included videos for collections for All Time Top 100, All Time Top 100 Indie Games, Top 100 DOS, and the Video Game Hall of Fame. Will keep adding new ones as I make them. I present a labor-of-love. It is a project that I have been working on for a while. It is part-theme and part-playlist. Basically, it's a historical look through Nintendo's console history with playlists designed to capture the best of every release (in 20, 50, and 100 game lists). Included in the zip file are customized clear logos, XML playlist files, and downloaded Youtube commercials. The Best of Nintendo - Please check out the video and let me know what you think. Notes: *I started by aggregating data into spreadsheets for each console. Based upon review scores, polls, and web lists, I created my own lists of the best, most important, successful, or under-appreciated games for each console. Spreadsheets with sources here. Best of Nintendo Home Consoles Best of Handheld Consoles If you feel these lists are criminally incorrect, please let me know. *I created clear logos for each playlist. I used a variety of sources from the web and the clear logo collection in the Unified theme pack as starting resources. I haven't used Photoshop in quite a while, but it was fun getting back into it. If you have any requests or suggestions regarding the logos, please let me know. *Then I scoured Youtube seeking interesting and funny commercials for each platform. Clearly, I could not find many of them in high quality. For many videos, I had to edit out intros or outros. Apologies to original uploaders for not giving proper credit. If anyone has suggestions or higher quality versions of these commercials, please let me know. *Grabbed general console information from Wikipedia - slight editing. *Used a combination of the excellent Unified theme, Coverbox theme, Famicom theme , and BG Clean theme for the game lists. *Obviously Game & Watch is not a real top 10 - I'm still waiting on Mame to start emulating some of the more popular releases. *Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are limited to top 20 for now. Also waiting for emulation to catch up with these newer platforms. *Big thanks to Colpipes78 for the great set-ups, implementing Rocket Launcher, media, roms, and making my life (and many others) a thousand times easier. I hope some of you find parts of it useful. Next - Sega or Sony?

I created a few clear logos featuring the Steam Deck! Clear Logos The intention is to use these for playlists or platforms, like "Steam Deck Verified" as an example. There are black and white variants for use with light or dark themes. Icon Files I also included two .ICO files to use in Windows, the reason being that I now have a scaled down LB/BB build that lives on my Steam Deck, and my primary portable build that's much larger on an external drive that's accessible when the Deck is docked. I wanted to create icons to further differentiate them on my start screen. Credit Thanks again to @Dan Patrick - I used his recreations of the LaunchBox and BigBox cube logos, and sourced the Steam Deck outline image online and modified it to add more contrast between the outline and base colors.

    # What is it? Clear Logos I created for myself to use with my Playlists categories I modified a music playlist icon and created custom icons for each - the font is based on the Famicom Disk System logo. It's simple, uniform, fairly minimalistic, and to the point. I'll likely end up creating more as I work my way through my structure, so if you dig it, keep an eye out!

I have created playlist clear logo sets, which I have based on the logo font for each system. I had to create entire fonts and edit other fonts to resemble the logo font for many of the systems. Each set contains a black, white and a colour version of clear logos for the following... Playlists logos include: Genres logos include: Regions logos include: Years logos include: Not every platform category\playlist will utilize every logo depending on your build. I have used the same naming system thats used in the Unified Theme. So I would suggest verifying the playlist/platform names before dropping them into your images folder... as some may differ from user to user and wrongly named files will not show up in BigBox. If you do have different platform names you can use Bulk Rename Utility to rename them quick and easy. How to add them to LaunchBox. Instructions: Drag and drop the Platform Categories and the Playlists folders into the Launchbox Images folder. Launch BigBox and go into -> Options -> Image Cache and Refresh Platform Wheel Images. Here's links to all the fonts and .psd templates i used to make these for anyone who wants to create their own missing playlist logos. Playlist Templates Playlist Fonts Enjoy!

Here is a set of ,currently, 270 Collection videos to be used with playlists. This coincides with all of the media released in the @CriticalCid theme "Unified". I have decided to upload them here, because Jason is a busy man,and I understand how much work it could be to enter this many videos in manually. I do plan on releasing more in the future, with an estimated goal of around 500-600 total playlist videos,as well as all of the artwork for the Unified theme that's needed. I do not have an estimated time-frame as to the release of more,I just know that's the plan. While I never expect anyone to actually have 600 playlists in their BigBox setup,I do believe that variety is the spice of life, and this will give plenty of options for personalizing your lists.Enjoy! Here was the release video I made for the initial 70 Collection videos : And here was the preview video of the 200 videos that followed : You can also find the Genre videos here : And the Favorites videos here: And the Developer Video set here...

Hello, all! I recently decided to overhaul my Launchbox setup, and rework it to incorporate Aftermarket Releases in a way the makes more sense. I decided on two primary categories - Official Releases and Aftermarket Releases: Official Releases are pretty much what you would expect. Aftermarket Releases then goes on to Hacked Games, Original Games, Translations, and Unreleased Games - I wrote up descriptions to accompany each subcategory (also included in txt files). I included a screenshot of my Platform Categories to help make sense of it. Once I decided on that, I set out to find Clear Logos to match, and either struck out, or what I'd seen wasn't fitting with the rest of my system, so I decided to make my own cohesive set that also included your standard Favorites, Collections and Playlists These clear logos and descriptions are meant to be platform agnostic so that I could use them for every platform in my collection that has these aftermarket releases.
