Hey all, I've made a mini emulation console with raspberry pi, but am finding it's a little lacking. I was wondering if anyone has used a mini windows 10 pc to create a launchbox based emulation console. Ideally, it would be similar in size to the raspberry pi 3 so it can be portable, have wifi, bluetooth, and SD/USB slots built in, and have a little more power than a raspberry pi 3. Most importantly, when booted up I would want it to launch directly into big-box mode, so it's seamless on the front end. Are there any relatively affordable windows 10 mini machines that might make this possible? From what I've read, I could not install windows iot on my pi3 and then install launchbox, launching into big box mode, correct?

Hello all, lurker for a while and decided I better create an account. I did a search and don’t see any mention of a portable app. I been setting up Launchbox/BigBox on my main work PC for testing and configuration. Can I then move this (easily) to my dedicated arcade PC? Is the program a true portable app where I can just copy and paste? Just trying to figure out an easy way to do this.

Hello good afternoon! In my case I have 2 devices with LaunchBox, however I wanted to do the following: -> When I update one, where I put a ROM I can copy "only" the files it needs for this, since my folder has 80GB total, and copying from one place to another all the time is very time consuming. Example: In the External HD I put 2 roms of PS1, and when I get home to copy only those 2 roms and the files that I need for the LaunchBox to recognize what I did in the External HD. No need to copy everything again. Thank you

I saw that Launchbox is completely self contained and portable. What are the prerequisites for it to run on a Windows 10 machine? For example - "DirectX End-User Runtime"

This is still very much a WIP as I test what games do and do not work well on this awesome little handheld, but I am very satisfied with how well these two work together. For those who are unaware, the GPD Win is a handheld Windows 10 device sporting an Intel Atom z8700 that is about the size of a 3DS XL which is just fantastic for portability. It has a built-in XInput controller, so I don't really need to do any tweaking to get Big Box working here. I copied my Desktop's LaunchBox/Big Box over to this little wonder and started sorting the games out, and I feel I've sorted out enough to give you guys a general idea of just how well this works. It runs a decent amount of PS2 and GC games smoothly, as well as a couple of more recent titles. Big box runs like a dream on here, effectively turning this mini PC into the ultimate handheld console. Apologies for the terrible quality in the photos. Screenshots of the collection wouldn't do the concept of this whole thing very much justice and I only have a phone camera ;_;
