  1. Hi, I am trying to set up PPSSPP currently and got it all mapped with AHK using the standard "key down, Sleep 10, key up" method which works fine except I realized something playing Mega Man. Because it just recognizes that the key is pressed down for a short amount of time he only jumps a really low jump. I could increase the sleep time but then he would always just super high. Does anyone have a script for different variables which I can use? What is the workaround that people use for this issue? Thanks.
  2. Hi LB, I have this External HD (Seagate Backup Plus 8TB) with a format of NTFS (100% Health) Brand New. (Powered by wall outlet) Also I have another External HD (WD My Book 4TB) with a format of ExFat (100% Health) 1 Year Old. (Powered by wall outlet) Now my problem is, whenever I play PPSSPP in Seagate External HDD, It stutters, and the FPS suddenly drops random times. But I dont experience this with my WD Extrnal HDD, it runs smoothly without a problem (same Game). Emulators and ISO are installed on each Drive. Main Question: Does the format of HDD affects the performance of an emulator? or It is depends on brand of the External Hard Drive?
  3. So I got my PPSSPP core set up in Retroarch and everything works fine, except for the system messages (as shown in the attachment). I've tried adding multipe versions of the PPSSPP assets folder, as well as the actual PSP fonts, to the retroarch\system\PPSSPP folder. The PPSSPP core (1.8.5) should be up-to-date. Of course, I've tried Googling the problem. It seems the issue is usually a mismatch between the version of the PPSSPP core versus the version of the assets (specifically ppge_atlas.zim). However, I've tried pasting in the assets folder from the master branch of the PPSSPP github (as linked in the retroarch documentation) as well, figuring that one should match up. No dice. Has anyone else recently run into this issue? If you've managed to fix it, could you point me in the right direction as well? **EDIT**: Annnnd of course, I only decide to check the actual version of that master branch and compare it to the core version AFTER having posted this topic... It seems the maser branch was on 1.9.0. Downloaded the 1.8.0 assets now, and they work fine. Sorry about that! Why would the core downloaded through retroarch be a major version behind, though? Apparently, version 1.9.0 released quite a while ago, too (Sep 25, 2019).
  4. in the autohotkey script section of PPSSPP, ive been trying to create a script that will alternate Alt+F4 (Which Is Escape) to the actual escape button. ive come up with these but no luck still.. can anyone help? Ive Tried: Escape::Send {Alt F4} ESC::Send {Alt F4} Send {Alt F4}::ESCAPE Send {Alt F4}::ESC The reason im using this is because im using an actual arcade cabinet with no keyboard. i have made an esc button go to one of my microswitches. if this script works, hopefully i can map it to all my emulators which require alt+F4 to escape the emulator.
  5. having issues when uploading my PSP ROM's to launchbox where its not differentiating between the files internals and the actual game therefore not uploading the game properly. any help with this?
  6. Retroarch is not working with PPSSPP. When I try to open a game it just goes to a black screen. When running in debug this is what I get. Any help is appreciated. 7. As far as I can tell, since updating to 8.1 LB this is happening, my PPSSPP emulation will not run a game properly, but only within LB... I get a STOPPED RESPONDING error, I've tried updating PPSSPP in case something was corrupted, no good....I CAN right-click a game in Launchbox and launch only PPSSPP and it plays a game fine, from within its own menu....but if I open ANY PSP game within LB I get a crash... (see image) Anything else I can try?
  8. Hello People - Nice community forums ! I have been cracking my skull for the past week with problems exiting Emulators on Big Box, some of them work fine, others like PPSSPP just crash the Big Box on exit. I try everything I was able to search on the forums and at the end I think I found the cause and temporary solution: Possible cause: The Crash happens when using Big Box Auto Controller Automation method, but this do not happens when using the same feature on LaunchBox or when using the "esc" key on the keyboards... only on Big Box using the controller automation (X-Box 360 Controller). Temporary Solution: After trying almost everything I disabled Controller Automation on Big Box (OPTIONS), end up installing Xpader and configure the program to get "esc" output from the controller by pressing Select + Play Button.
