  1. Hello everyone, I have a problem. I want to play Xenoblade Chronicles II with Yuzu and have updated the romfile so it includes the Torna DLC. The DLC campaign can be selected on the main menu screen. If I start Yuzu and then launch the game within the Yuzu game list, everything works fine However, when I launch the same game with the same emulator from Launchbox, the Torna button isn't there. I don't know why this happens, can anyone help? I tried launching it with emulation station and the same thing happens. So in conclusion: - if I use yuzu to launch the game it works - if I use a launcher frontend, like Launchbox or EmulationStation, it doesn't. Any help?
  2. I have launchbox on a sd card and ever since the most recent update, I've been getting this error, I can still access the games, but I can't update to the latest version. Is there anyway to fix this?
  3. Hey everyone, I'm NOT sure LaunchbBox is at fault, I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention and ask if this is caused by LaunchBox some how. The scenario is pretty specific though, so I believe this bug might just not have been discovered yet: I tried setting up a Sharp x68000 platform by importing some zipped files. I had some trouble setting it up and found that if I extract the Roms before launch, I have better results. So I ticked this option: Since some Sharp x68000 games require multiple disk files, I also wanted to use the option to automatically create .m3u files. So I ticked this: Now when I launch the a Multi Disk game, it doesn't work. Retroarch stays black. And here is the potentially dangerous part: If I try to unzip the first file of the multi-disk game ("fiilename (disk 1), winrar will tell me that the archive is broken. I was able to reproduce this error several times with this Setup for the Sharp x68000. I redownloaded the disk files again and every time I launch a game with these settings, the archive breaks. Can anyone confirm that this is a common error? Or is there something wrong on m end? Thanks for your help!
  4. Hey, simply wondering what's the best Taito Type X launcher for Windows 10? The ones I have encountered so far either is giving me virus warning, changes my desktop resolution (even after quitting) or won't read Xbox one controller input in the config GUI.
  5. Hello, Is it at all possible to prioritise EmuMovies when scraping media to LB? I was hoping to be able to have EmuMovies pick up what it can and the LB fill in any gaps. I'm aware you can do this the other way around by limiting each image type to 1 when importing roms, but I'm sure I've seen a video that had a check box to do this but it doesn't seem to be there anymore Any help would be great Will. Edit - Found image from video mentioning said button https://i.imgur.com/4qGEHzf.jpg
  6. Hello everyone, I have a huge first world problem. Let me describe my setup to you first: My PC is located in my office, but I want to play games and watch movies on my TV in the living room. That's why I put long cables from my office to my living room, namely a 30 m HDMI cable and a 20m active USB cable with 3 repeaters. At the end of the USB cable in my living room there is a USB Hub on which I connect my XBOX One dongle for the controllers and some other devices. So fart so good. This setup has served me well over the last 2 years. There are zero problems with it. This is the USB cable I bought: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B01BLPSWTI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A few days ago when I was at my parents house I found my old SNES controllers in the attic and I wanted to connect those to the USB Hub in my living room somehow, so I could play SNES games on emulators using my original controllers, I'm sure you can relate. After some searching online, I found this adapter: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08PYZSJ5F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now here's my problem: Once I connect the ANES Adapter to my USB Hub in my living room, my PC won't recognize it. Why not? Well, turns out the three active repeaters on my USB cable are viewed as USB-Hubs by windows and you can only connect 5 USB hubs in a row until a device must be plugged in. The SNES adapter is also a USB Hub and it seems to be the 6th hub in the cascade. I'm not quite sure why, because the way I see it, it should be the 5th Hub (but I'm sure I'm wrong somehow). Just in order to visualize my understanding of the setup for you guys: PC (Host Controller + Root Hub) --> USB repeater on the cable (Hub 1) --> SB repeater on the cable (Hub 2) --> SB repeater on the cable (Hub 3) --> USB Hub in the living room (Hub 4) --> SNES-Adapter (Hub 5) --> SNES Controller However, my device manager tells a different story: PC (Host Controller + Root Hub) --> Generic USB-Hub (Hub 1 = ??? does the first connection of a USB device also count as a hub??? ) --> Generic USB-Hub (Hub 2 = repeater 1) -->Generic USB-Hub (Hub 3 = repeater 2) --> Generic USB-Hub (Hub 4 = repeater 3) --> Generic USB-Hub (Hub 5 = living room) --> Generic USB-Hub (Hub 6 = SNES-Adapter --> not recognized). Can anyone offer a solution to my problem? May what I need is a SNES adapter which does not count as a USB hub? Can I change something about my USB-Setup? I already measured if it's possible to use a 15m cable instead (that one has on 2 repeaters), but it doesn't quite reach my living room, it's about 2 m too short =/
  7. Hey everyone, jus a quick question which I couldn't find an answer to: From what I've read, "split" Rom sets are preferable to "merged" rom sets. However, when it comes to CHDs, I am only ever able to find merged CHD sets, not split CHD sets. So the question is: Can / should I combine a split mame rom set with a merged CHD set or should I go for a merged rom set to go with the merged CHD set?
  8. EDIT: Updated title of thread. Better description of the problem in second post. Original post: Hey everyone, I know I should as this over at libretro, but I kind of hate the way their forum is structured, so I'm hoping that someone here can help me out. I've run into a weird bug today and it happened to me three times, so something must be wrong. So, for some reason, sometimes, in circumstances unknown to me, my controllers stop working in RetroArch. Retroarch still recognizes the controllers and maps them to users 1, 2, 3 and so on, but when I press buttons on the controllers, nothing happens, not in games, not in the Retroarch menu. Nothing fixes it. I've tried resetting retroarch cofig file, deleting the autoconfig folder, unplugging my usb controllers. Nothing works. The controllers still work in windows device calibration, Launchbox and other emulators, such as SNES9x. But they won't work in Retroarch. The only "fix" is restarting windows. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? This NEVER happened to me over the last 2 years and today it happened 3 times. The only thing that changed is that I recently added a mayflash SNES to USB controller adapter to connect 2 original SNES controllers to USB, but I don't think these are the problem, since all controllers work fine until they don't, and once this error happens, no controller works, not the Snes controllers, not the XBOS One controllers. Only keyboard and mouse continue working.
  9. Whenever I import roms it seems fine but as soon as I launch big box all my games duplicate the first time. Usually it's not really an issue because I can just delete the duplicates and they wont come back but recently my Sony Playstation games have have been duplicating every time I open big box even when I try to delete the duplicates. I notice that the files for the originals end in .cue but the files for the duplicates always ends in 7z if that has any importance. I've already tried re importing the games, and deleting all the folders for them but that didn't work. How do I fix this?
  10. Hey ...So using the following method I have mostly got ps3 working in LB. I use emulator rpcs3 and in config / emulation / - launch game after boot - start game in fullscreen - exit when finish then add the emulator to LB and autoscript : Then add your game via the eboot.bin and then rename it and add images etc. It will then launch automatically and exit on escape. BUT if the game is a digital game ... which is usually comprises of a .PKG (with a rap sometimes) then this system doesnt work SO I need to know how to trick LB into launching a pkg ? Maybe adding a fake cue or iso or eboot or something!? Anyone....pls
  11. pc win 10 intel 5 3.7 8gb ram questions 1) pcsx2 - any progress on making VAMPIRE DARKSTALKER COLLECTION work on ps 2 emu ? This is a well known issue and there have been many posts on this in the past but ive yet to get it working. The issue is severe graphical glitches and stutter and slowdown. I used a .dll file and fixed the glitches but it still runs at about 10 fps with distortion. Was hoping it was a settings issue . ANy ideas? 2) rpcs3 (see squirrel girl) BlazblueChrono Phantasma Extend ps3 is meant to be compatable but what ever i do i get this see through characters despite the game running reliavely smoothly and no other obvious issues. Again maybe a setting issue . ANy ideas? Ive spent hours on this before asking... thanks
  12. Not sure where i post this... Can I make one game in 1 platform run a different retroArch core IN launchbox? I have my saturn platform but some games need the yabasanshiro libreto instead of the beetle all the others use. I think if i had a command line paremeter i could place that in EDIT GAME / LAUNCHING - use costom command line paremter ? (might be wrong). I do have the choice to select either core on launch, as ive set them both up but I cant have 2 defaults and i cant see a setting to default for an individual game :? when I select the game it goes to the default and so fails to work ? I also want to do the same for n64 and mupen64plus next and paraellel64 in retroarch so pls tell me if this is possible. Any ideas? pls Thank you!
  13. Win10 / intel 5 internal gpu / 8 gb ram / ssd 500gb / 2 tb support drive latest drivers (I think). Off line brand new dedicated EMULATOR PC for an arcade cab. Hey So having a rough day as after a week of setting up LAUNCH BOX , the software has started to lose all my games platform by platform, randomly with no reason or rhyme. I have set up many platforms using different emulators and everything works perfectly but...1 by 1 my days of work is being deleted and when I used system restore it does nothing. I am losing entire games and all their images. But only in LB not on the drive. I keep reinstalling entire sets which take like an hour or more to install but then they vanish after ive installed something else or restarted. And not always all the games...it's all so random. I think it is even deleting in real time while im using the software. I have no idea why any of this is happening but it is ruining my plan to build an arcade machine for my family haha Please help if you can as this is very serious to me after so much hard work and effort. Thank you for your help in advance
  14. NEW win 10 intel 5 8 gb ram 500 gb ssd internal gpu hello so my singe 2.00 / daphne games randly crash as they progress. Crashes to desktop closing the software entirely. A good example for anyone to test is - play mad dog 1 and progress to the choose a location menu and choose anyone then play and it will crash every time in those 4 areas. No idea if this is a time played problem or specific to those areas but it prevents progress. I am building an arcade for family and this game is the most important so I hope for it to work perfectly within reason. Ive googled this but its old tech. Does anyone use these lazer disc games and if so any issues? thanks for any help.
