When I crank up Reicast's internal resolution to something like 1920x1440, it looks great, and runs great when I'm using Retroarch on its own. However if I launch the same games via Launchbox, Retroarch is crashing when using any Reicast internal resolution other that 640x480. Is there a conflicting configuration somewhere that Launchbox would care about? One that doesn't Retroarch when running independently? Update: Looks like the crashing is dependent on shaders, everything works great with no shaders enabled, once enabled starting a game from Launchbox crashes Retroarch. Update 2: Narrowed it down further to crashing only when a shader alters geometry, I can work around that but I'm still curious why this would only come into play when launching from Launchbox?
Hi! I stumbled upon a problem with the NAOMI and NAOMI 2 system. I tried different emulators and each one has his own problems. Can't figure it out. If hope to get one of these emulators to work. First Emulator: DEMUL v0.7 alpha I can get DEMUL to launch through Launchbox but it give me the error:"Unable to find 'epr-21576d.ic27' in romset naomi". But that file is located in the directory that I assigned to the games and roms. The type of game rom files are *.zip and contains type *.ic* files. Maybe I'm using incompatibele rom files? In the settings menu I tried already the 3 different rom options (gdrimage, gdrCHD, gdrDEMUL). What's the correct one with these type of files? Command lines (-run=naomi -rom=) are put in the right place, Correct boxes are checked. Note: I also use DEMUL for Sammy Atomiswave and that works perfect with launchbox. Once you put in the proper command line (-run=awave -rom=) and check the right boxes. Second Emulator: RetroArch 1.7.5 with reicast core Starting the game in RetroArch through Launchbox works, the game starts but I get black screen. I know the game is in running the background because I hear sound when I use the controls. I used the epr-21576g.ic27 (2048kB) that I renamed and put in the ...\system\dc\ folder. Help Thx a bunch!
Ok I followed the tutorial here to set up demul fromBrad, Brad, bo-rad Banana-fana fo-frad Fee-fi-mo-mrad Brad! LOL Anyway, IM having difficulty getting the game to start up AND couldn't find anyone wth this issue so maybe its just something small I'm doing wrong. Demul opens but doesn't start the game. I have tried going through retroarch and some of the games seem to work fine. IM assuming that some games just have a compatibility issue with reicast or needs a different bios. Can anyone help with this issue? Also, while using retroarch with reicast core, is there a way to automate or save that annoying pop up for the clock and date? Finally, has anyone had more or less success with the redream core? I believe it is newer so hopefully it works with more games. THANK YOU
I have been trying to download this for weeks but it looks like the main website is always down. http://reicast.com/ Does anyone know what is up with this and where I can download a windows build? Kinda strange because this link works: http://builds.reicast.com/ but I can not get this version to work it needs a file and when I tried to get that file in place it just threw another error and had to shut down.. Please someone tell me they have this working for windows..
