  1. would post a pic but it needs a link and wont take imgur so words will have to do I suppose. Launchbox woks fine, but when I run BIGBOX it gives me an unexpected error. running a windows 10 laptop and launchbox version 12.14 I've already checked antivirus, uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted pc, windows is up to date
  2. Hi fellow Launchboxers! I've been setting up the Daphne emulator the way I wanted so far. I just want to customize the screen resolution and dip switch depending on the game. All games use this resolution -x 800 -y 600 except for the Bluray remasters of Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II and Space Ace which uses -x 1280 -y 720 I've found this post on the forums that seems to be the solution Unfortunately I'm not able to have my parameters to save. Here's how I've setup my emulator batch file @echo off if "%1"=="ace" -x 1280 -y 720 set bank= -bank 0 00000010 -bank 1 00000001& goto :start if "%1"=="astron" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000000& goto :start if "%1"=="badlands" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000010 -bank 1 10000011& goto :start if "%1"=="bega" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000111& goto :start if "%1"=="cliff" -x 800 -y 600 -vertical_stretch 24 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 01000000 -bank 2 00000000 -bank 3 01111011& goto :start if "%1"=="cobraab" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 01001000& goto :start if "%1"=="esh" -x 800 -y 600 set bank=& goto :start if "%1"=="galaxy" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000000& goto :start if "%1"=="gpworld" -x 800 -y 600 set bank=& goto :start if "%1"=="interstellar" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00110001 -bank 1 00000000& goto :start if "%1"=="dle21" -x 1280 -y 720 set bank= -bank 0 11011001 -bank 1 00100111& goto :start if "%1"=="lair2" -x 1280 -y 720 set bank=& goto :start if "%1"=="mach3" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 01000100& goto :start if "%1"=="roadblaster" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000001& goto :start if "%1"=="sdq" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00100001 -bank 1 00000000& goto :start if "%1"=="tq" -x 800 -y 600 set bank=& goto :start if "%1"=="uvt" -x 800 -y 600 set bank= -bank 0 00000000& goto :start set bank= -bank 0 11011001 -bank 1 00100111 :start daphne.exe %1 vldp -blank_searches -fastboot -fullscreen_window -ignore_aspect_ratio -opengl -startsilent -framefile ..\..\Games\LaserDisc\%1\%1.txt -noissues -noserversend I also can't get "-vertical_stretch 24" value to work with Cliff Hanger to remove black bars. Thanks for helping me and I'm sure this will be great for many other LaserDisc users out there!
  3. I may just be dumb, but I've been fighting with this all day trying to fix this so I figure it's worth the ask. I use my computer as a smart tv/gaming console and I control it with a little 'Wechip W1" airmouse/remote control. I use AHK scripts to make the buttons on it contextual and behave differently based on the application that is focused. This has worked quite well with many applications (including BigBox at some point in the past). However, some recent update has broken this interaction. It's important to note that this isn't broken for all keys, just the very specific one my remote uses. The key in question is the "Browser_Home" key (Yes, that is the actual key name that AHK understands, apparently just as valid as "Space"). The default functionality of this key is to open your default web browser to the home page. I use it typically to close the current application and return to Kodi (which serves as my root menu and main UI). The Problem here is that whenever BigBox is focused, whatever functionality I have mapped to the "Browser_Home" key is completely ignored. Even if the script is as simple as unconditionally do nothing when "Browser_Home" key is pressed, it still just opens the web browser. This more or less breaks the perfect integration I had with Big Box previously. I don't really have any alternatives except maybe switch to just LaunchBox which lacks the clean UI of BigBox. Any suggestions here would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm not completely sure how long it has been this way but I recently went to mess around with my Amiga games and noticed a lot of the games were saying the files were missing, I ran a scan for new / removed files and it seemed to clean up the list, but every time I closed and reopened Launchbox the game list would revert to the old list of incorrect games. I have tried just deleting all the games in the list and scanning again and it reverts back to this old list every time I relaunch. I'm not sure if something has corrupted and won't save the changes properly, but how would I go about fixing this? As a test I created a new platform with a new name, that links to the same rom folder and this doesn't revert when launching, but I would like to have the correctly named platform working again.
  5. Is the Platforms.xml supposed to retain the previous data, as after updating in LaunchBox I have duplicate elements <Notes>The Atari 2600 is credited with popularizing the use of microprocessor-based hardware and ROM cartridges containing game code.</Notes> <VideoPath /> <Notes>A video game console is an electronic, digital or computer device that outputs a video signal or visual image to display a video game that one or more people can play. The term "video game console" is primarily used to distinguish a console machine primarily designed for consumers to use for playing video games, in contrast to arcade machines or home computers. Although Ralph Baer had built working game consoles by 1966, it was nearly a decade before the Pong game made them commonplace in regular people's living rooms. Through evolution over the 1990s and 2000s, game consoles have expanded to offer additional functions such as CD players, DVD players, Blu-ray disc players, web browsers, set-top boxes and more.</Notes> <VideoPath /> Platforms.xml
  6. Hi, I have an arcade cabinet with some MAME, consoles and some Windows games (Steam and direct). Does anyone else run windows games using a arcade 6 buttom setup? If so, how do you override the buttons to mimic the enter and escape buttons? (the ones usually used in games to go in and out of menus Thanks
  7. Doom Eternal was added in the last day or so but does not show up in my Launchbox when attempting to search the title in the game's Details. Is there a way to do a direct ID search? do I have to wait for the DBs metadata to update? Same issue with Doom 64 and UEBS
