  1. So after getting into Launchbox from EmulationStation I wanted to port my PowerShell script to mount ISO for RPCS3 over to run on Launchbox. I found the same thing as @Landcross that you can't run Powershell under Launchbox for some reason. Finding his\her thread here helped me in a few ways. How to convert PowerShell scripts to exe, very easy. nNASOS is awesome! Will be converting my collection after this....tested his script and worked great! used his script to verify my own, Thanks @Landcross This script will take ISO and mount it as a drive letter, then launch rpcs3.exe with the path to the mounted ISO's eboot.bin. Then waits for the rpcs3.exe process to close and un-mounts the ISO. No need to extract ISO files to play games! Usage: Download the file attached and create a folder under launchbox (or wherever you prefer) with the RPCS3-Launcher.exe and .config file inside. I included the pre-created EXE and the .ps1 script as well but not needed for Launchbox. Add the RPCS3-Launcher.exe to as an emulator. Emulator Name: RPCS3-ISO Path: path to RPCS3-Launcher.exe Default Parameters "path to your rpcs3.exe in quotes" Make sure to associate with platform tab: Sony Playstation 3 and click OK to finish and close if needed. Now go into your games and edit an ISO game you have. Select the emulation tab and choose your newly created emulator RPCS3-ISO (or whatever you named it in step # 2) Do this for EVERY ISO you have. Once completed..... Start playing ISO games with RPCS3 under Launchbox! How to use relative path: Put RPCS3-Launcher.exe and .config into your RPCS3 folder along with rpcs3.exe. setup your default command line parameters with ".\rpcs3.exe" Let me know if issues for you and I can try to help! Also putting on github so I can learn. https://github.com/ptmorris1/RPCS3-ISOLauncher-Launchbox RPCS3-ISOLauncher-Launchbox.zip
  2. Hey ...So using the following method I have mostly got ps3 working in LB. I use emulator rpcs3 and in config / emulation / - launch game after boot - start game in fullscreen - exit when finish then add the emulator to LB and autoscript : Then add your game via the eboot.bin and then rename it and add images etc. It will then launch automatically and exit on escape. BUT if the game is a digital game ... which is usually comprises of a .PKG (with a rap sometimes) then this system doesnt work SO I need to know how to trick LB into launching a pkg ? Maybe adding a fake cue or iso or eboot or something!? Anyone....pls
  3. pc win 10 intel 5 3.7 8gb ram questions 1) pcsx2 - any progress on making VAMPIRE DARKSTALKER COLLECTION work on ps 2 emu ? This is a well known issue and there have been many posts on this in the past but ive yet to get it working. The issue is severe graphical glitches and stutter and slowdown. I used a .dll file and fixed the glitches but it still runs at about 10 fps with distortion. Was hoping it was a settings issue . ANy ideas? 2) rpcs3 (see squirrel girl) BlazblueChrono Phantasma Extend ps3 is meant to be compatable but what ever i do i get this see through characters despite the game running reliavely smoothly and no other obvious issues. Again maybe a setting issue . ANy ideas? Ive spent hours on this before asking... thanks
  4. Hi everyone! I´m trying to use launchbox to execute PS3 games with Rpcs3. I add the rom using the path of the EBOOT.BIN file, under "dev_hdd0\game\Name of the game\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN" but this doesn´t work. If i open that bin file using the RPCS3 emulator all works ok, but if i point that path with launchbox to open with the RPCS3 emulator, nothing happens, it shows "Failed to mount disc directory for the disc game (Code of the game)" Does anyone knows how to launch rpcs3 games with Launchbox? There is a command line parameter or something? Thanks in advance!
  5. Great to see my favorite PlayStation 3 game with almost perfect emulation, but you gotta let those shaders cache before it will run so well.
  6. I spent the morning setting up Rpcs3 with the intent of playing demon's Souls When the game started up the audio would skip for a half second about every 2-4 seconds The audio skipping wasn't horrible so I just ignored it... but once I got into the game this is what I saw as you can see the gui works fine but you cant actually see anything in game. The game is running fine my character responds to all controller inputs, I just cant see anything. here are my settings If anyone knows the reason for the problem any help would be appreciated
  7. I have googled, I have researched, have studied, have watched tons of tuts, I have tested etc... If anyone from this community has this emu successfully running I'd love to know how the hell you did it! Off topic: my sega dream cast emu works fine just one small issue... days ago it started up only booting GTA 2? no matter what game I launch from LB it only plays gta 2 why and how do fix this issue... fyi for those few always complaining and moaning about google etc... unlike most ppl if I have a fix for someone I am going to share it with them! I am not going to send them elsewhere when myself can assist them. have thousands of video tuts and tens of thousands of written tuts teaching and sharing what I know and learn to keep people from going through the chaos I went through to get to that point. 20 years ago I would read/watch tuts and it was always jumbled or missing small but damn important info. That's why I started doing tuts. Mine are dummy proof and very detailed. Again if I can help IM not going to send you elsewhere to get it. Back on topic: each of the video tuts i watched about ps3 emulation are well done just different outcomes on my end, so maybe someone is not adding or saying something I need to see or hear to fix it. tuts are how got each emu running perfectly. only defeat was commodore 64 and playstation 3 emus... well dreamcast if can't get it to boot all my games not just GTA 2
