1296 SHMUPS! Split playlists for arcade and consoles. Download the .xml files and place them in your LaunchBox\Data\Playlists directory. Here's how many games are in each playlist: SHMUPS (Arcade): 501* SHMUPS (Dreamcast) 24 SHMUPS (Game Gear) : 9 SHMUPS (GB/GBC) : 42 SHMUPS (GBA): 21 SHMUPS (Genesis) : 70 (including Sega CD and 32x games) SHMUPS (MSX): 144** SHMUPS (Naomi): 18 SHMUPS (NES): 132 (including Famicom and Famicom Disk games) SHMUPS (PS1): 69 SHMUPS (PS2): 34 SHMUPS (PSP): 24 SHMUPS (Saturn) 54 SHMUPS (SMS): 20 SHMUPS (SNES): 39 SHMUPS (Turbo Grafx): 99 (including Turbo CD/PC Engine/PC Engine CD/SuperGrafx games) SHMUPS (All-in-one) 1296 *2 games in the Arcade list, 'Pilot Kids' and 'Zero Gunner', will require a Sega Model 2 emulator for them to work. These two games are made by Psikyo...quality SHMUPS. **The MSX list still needs a bit of work, there are a few 3D/rail shooters that need to be edited out. A future update will probably have less games in the list. What these playlists have: 2D and 2.5D horizontal and vertical SHMUPS Some classic fixed screen SHMUPS (Space Invaders, Galaga, Asteroids, etc.) mostly No Clones (These lists were handpicked. Lots of 'Same game, different name' games were filtered out) No Run 'N Gun style games (Contra, Metal Slug, Turrican, etc.), but some hybrid games did make it on here. No 3D Shooters (Afterburner, Galaxy Force II, Space Harrier, etc.)- 10 comments

Clear logos are as follows : Beat em up, Shoot em up, Shooters, Puzzle, Vs fighters, Sports, Run and Gun, Platformers, Light Gun, .....they all have a silver ring which ive given a retro look This is my first upload so hope you all enjoy....just hoping someone will now create the playlist videos to match ...big thanks to the original creators of the Jukebox/Arcade and Light gun icons -

Doujin Soft Platform Logo View File Some simple Doujin Soft manga style clear platform logos I made. I just used the plain "Doujin Soft" logo but if you wish to break things down like I see people do "Shooters", "Fighting Games" and "Eroge" are included. I've put together a set of frontend video themes intended to be used with arcade genre-based playlists. The genres correspond roughly to the "All Killer, No Filler" playlists compiled by BadMouth and the ArcadeControls forum community: I designed the logos and edited the audio/video collages, but much credit and many thanks are due to the EmuMovies community, HyperSpin community, and @CriticalCid for creating the game-specific video themes and capturing all the gameplay footage. The video files are hosted at EmuMovies and are available here. Clear logos for these genre playlists are available here. You can see a preview of the videos below on YouTube.

Hi all, first time poster, long time Launchboxer. I wanted to get people's experience/opinions/advice on an issue I've run into as an arcade-shooter fan living in Australia, & also post this a caution to anyone in Aus who might be thinking of buying a light gun from overseas. I was about to spend approx. $170 AU on importing an AimTrak Lightgun from the US, having learned that they're the most compatible across a wide range of games & emulated platforms. Then I ran across some people online saying that they've had their arcade guns seized by Australian customs as 'Replica or Imitation Firearms'!? There are some rather strenuous gun laws in this country- & it seems to be that you can't even import a giant plastic thing in the rough shape of a gun without running the risk of getting into a whole lot of trouble, or at the very least losing your $170... Here's the issue https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Impo/Proh/Firearms-and-weapons/imitation-firearms "Imitation Firearms are defined as a copy or reproduction or has the appearance of a firearm that could reasonably be taken to be a firearm. This can include goods such as ornaments and arcade or video game controllers. ... To import imitation firearms into Australia, police certification in the form of a B709A Form - Importation of Firearms – Police Confirmation and Certification Form is required. ... The original B709A Form must be presented to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection at the time of importation." I suppose I can understand it in the wake of 3d-printing, thanks to that guy who created printable weapons. But this is an awful lot of bureaucracy for a game-controller, it really comes down to it being misclassifed as an imitation firearm. Not many guns I've seen have a lead running out of the grip and a big red button on the side for launching special attack If you want to import an "Imitation Firearm" you have to get a permit/license from the police before hand, once you finally get the approval (good luck with that)... I think most people give up at this point. I did find a caveat however, (at least in NSW legislation not sure if it applies to the whole country) http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/#/view/act/1996/46/part1/sec4d (Ahem!) Firearms Act 1996 No 46, Part 1, Section 4D, Paragraph 4 states (phew!): "an imitation firearm does not include any such object that is produced and identified as a children’s toy." So I imagine that would be the way to get them in. Just say they're for the kids ;-)
