Machtendo - Bezels Set ( v1.0 = 175 Bezels) - LaunchBox Community Appreciation Hello, all! I was inspired by the work of a few users here in the community to teach myself how to use Photoshop and I wanted to create my own unique set of bezels. I taught myself just enough Photoshop to accomplish what I'd hoped to accomplish. I made these for myself because I loved so many of the different styles and sets I'd seen on here, which varied widely - but I wanted a more uniformed set that I felt would work well with Viking's Colorful (Dark) Theme. I decided that I'd go ahead and post them here, to express my gratitude for all the hard work everyone has put in to make LaunchBox what it is. Since I am interested to learn more Photoshop, I think I'm going to continue experimenting with these. If the community seems to like them, I'll post an update every so often. If anyone has any feedback or tips, I'm always willing to learn! Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Categories: Generic or Abstract = 6 Platforms = 129 Games\Series = 10 Games\Individual = 30 Total = 175 Credit for the original artwork: @Orionsangel - @JRPGod - @nadonate - @Kondorito - @ci2own - @harryoke Also, super appreciative of @Jason Carr for creating and maintaining LaunchBox in the first place

  4. SNES MSU-1 Disc Media View File These Disc's are intended to be used along with my Box set for the SNES MSU-1 Roms, and used in CtriticalCid's Unified Launchbox Theme. While i have tried to stick to game themes/Flyers, this is not always possible with some of the older titles, so i had to use so artistic licence for some, and also had a bit of fun with a couple. All images used were found on google, so i take no credit for any of the amazing work that went into some of these pieces. Removed Mega Link, These are now posted to the forums on each new addition. Unified Theme https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1080-unified/ They are named as the roms are in my system, so you will have to add each one individually. I tried to make a Disc for every version of each rom, undoubtedly i may have missed a few, i will try to add these at a later date. Moving forward i will keep the Media for both 3D Boxes and Disc's updated for each new MSU-1 that becomes available. Big Thanks go out to RetroHumanoid who helped me yet again with some of the finer details in this set. Also to CriticalCid for his outstanding Unified Theme And ColPipes for being MAD! And Lordmonkus for his art ninja skills., he taught me well. Submitter MadK9 Submitted 04/22/2018 Category Game Media Packs

A set of MSU-1 Covers, in the UGC format. *UPDATE* New V2 pack, all covers so far now in two seperate packs, Single case or Dual case, You can use one or the other, or if like me you can use both. The Reflection effect has been removed, this was asked for a few times.. 60+ cases had some changes made to the front covers using the correct MSU logo's ie, Super Famicom games now using a Super Famicom Logo instead of the Super Nintendo one. All cases to date are in these packs, and as far as im aware, this covers every game that has had an MSU-1 Patch. There are 2 sets Single Faced - 292 Covers, most have alternates using the USA/JPN and PAL cover styles Double Faced - 293 Covers, most have alternates using the USA/JPN and PAL cover styles. These covers are not meant to be accurate representations of the original boxes, these are customs and are to be treated as such. The naming is standard Launchbox/Super Nintendo Game names, so unless you have them named different, you should be able to drag and drop into the Box - 3D folder. (i recommend if you have my older boxes to remove them, and start fresh.) (Note: Boxes are labeled using one of the options Single or Dual, if you want to use both sets, you will need to manually edit each title in LB and drag the new extra box(s) over and set it to 3D Box.) A lot of these covers came from http://thecoverproject.net . Covers that did not exist i tried to make as carefully as i could. I am no artist, all the images contained in these Cases are from the net and are made by more talented people than myself, i make these primarily for myself, so i hope you like them, and will use them.
  6. Hi all. Given the release of the grid-enabled version of Big Box, I thought I would get a start on the fan translations I keep of Super Famicom games. I'd done something similar before with American box art fronts, but figure as I get more game fan images into the database, it might be nice to have something to flip to for back-box art. I forget where I should upload a .psd resource, but here's at least a screenshot of the artwork:

I designed some overlays for my 4K TV since I couldn't find any at that resolution at the quality I was looking for. I'm in the process of creating more systems in Photoshop, but the console themed designs take quite a while at 4K resolution. Many of these are inspired by the consoles design, so they aren’t 100% accurate to the source, they are just formatted to look nice as bezels/overlays. These overlays are designed to maximize screen real estate (IE no integer scaling), so there is no gap on the top and bottom of the screen. Use standard 4:3 aspect ratio or custom scaling. So, I won't be creating designs for consoles / handhelds that display primarily in 16:9, as doing that requires shrinking the game. I use the CRT_Geom shader with these settings changed and the screens are curved exactly where they need to be: CRT Geom Curvature Radius: 3.00 CRT Corner Size: 0.00 CRT Geom Sharpness: 3.00
  8. I have all the Snes roms (No-Intro) renamed as they are in the Hyperspin XML DB (807 total). When I import the roms from Launchbox and check the Emumovies option (videos HQ), I only care about 300 videos when they should be at least 807. Why does this happen?
  9. Hey Everyone, I'm new to Launchbox. I spent about 2 months configuring my home arcade machine with HyperSpin+RocketLauncher and hated every minute of it, but it was all working. Then I moved, and my HDD was damaged in the move. I almost decided to throw in the towel but stumbled across Launchbox and decided to give it another go and rebuild the PC. I can't say enough how much easier it was getting this configured over my last experience, so thank you! Above I'm referring largely to MAME. I'm having some issues (not Launchbox's fault) getting my console ROMs to load reliably. I downloaded version 228 of the Software List ROMs (merged), I imported them with @JoeViking245's import utility so I could map the MESS naming convention to something Launchbox understands. That all seemed to work well, however using Snes9x as my emulator, I'm encountering many games that either crash the emulator or give me a "bad checksum" and don't play. Unfortunately, it's some of my favorite games, like Link to the Past, and Super Metroid. This is my first time using the MAME "software list" ROMs. In the past, I would just go to some random ROM website and download the games I wanted piecemeal, and they all worked. And sure enough, if I do the same now for, say, Super Metroid, that works just fine with snes9x. So I'm not sure what the difference is between the SWL Roms and the ones I grab from one of the many emu websites that abound. But in any event I decided to see if one of the other popular SNES emulators perhaps dealt with the "bad" ROMs better than snes9x. And sure enough, both Higan and bsnes seem to run these roms fine. Great, I thought, I'll just point Launchbox to one of these emulators instead -- I have a pretty beefy CPU and I think it can handle the more taxing nature of these emulators. And that's where I've run into a brick wall. Higan has this funky approach where you have to first create a console, "connect" a cartridge (rom) and then power on the system. Launchbox doesn't seem to do these things when launching Higan. I then found a blog from the Higan developer saying you must first run the "icarus" application to create game paks - this added even more confusion. So then I decided to try an older version - bsnes - and sure enough that doesn't have all the additional icarus complexity, but I still can't figure out how to get Launchbox to launch bsnes. First of all, there is no bsnes option when configuring the emulator, so I just chose Higan and pointed it to the bsnes executable. But I don't know what command line options I need to specify so that bsnes launches with the game in question appropriately. So I have a couple questions: Does anyone have any theories as to why snes9x doesn't like a large portion of my SWL SNES roms that other emulators (e.g. Higan) run fine? Did I make a mistake opting for the "merged" SWL roms and should I have instead gone the "split" route? Any advice on how to get Launchbox to properly launch either Higan or Bsnes with the selected game given the other complexities that exist with these emulators? Thanks very much. -Rick

  11. Hi i've recently followed the guide to install SNES ROMs through Retroarch (Emulating the SNES tutorial) - and it worked well using the balanced core !! Although I skipped the config element. I now want to play with shaders so i have gone back to follow the tutorial... I know that since the tutorial that launchbox has since been updated, so I couldn't completely follow the steps. I therefore placed the config file reference into the 'extra command line parameters". This appeared to work ok for the shaders I set ( they look great) but on starting the game it opens in a separate window and I lost control settings for my joystick.... If I delete the config its back to normal game opens in big box but shaders not applied... I don't think I touched any other settings... I assume that I need to copy or change other settings in retroarch .... but would welcome any thoughts...

  23. Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I have a little issue with my PS4 controllers on the Snes9X emulator. I use the utility DS4windows. So basicially, everything is working fine, except the triggers when mapping them on the emulator, under input configuration. For the "L" and "R" buttons on the emulator, I use the Left and Right Trigger buttons on my PS4 controllers, however...they are being recognized and mapped as "Z down" and "Z up"; and in-game the triggers don't work. Any help would be greatly appreciate it. Thank you guys and have a nice day.
