I designed some overlays for my 4K TV since I couldn't find any at that resolution at the quality I was looking for. I'm in the process of creating more systems in Photoshop, but the console themed designs take quite a while at 4K resolution. Many of these are inspired by the consoles design, so they aren’t 100% accurate to the source, they are just formatted to look nice as bezels/overlays. These overlays are designed to maximize screen real estate (IE no integer scaling), so there is no gap on the top and bottom of the screen. Use standard 4:3 aspect ratio or custom scaling. So, I won't be creating designs for consoles / handhelds that display primarily in 16:9, as doing that requires shrinking the game. I use the CRT_Geom shader with these settings changed and the screens are curved exactly where they need to be: CRT Geom Curvature Radius: 3.00 CRT Corner Size: 0.00 CRT Geom Sharpness: 3.00

    SNES MSU-1 Disc Media

SNES MSU-1 Disc Media View File These Disc's are intended to be used along with my Box set for the SNES MSU-1 Roms, and used in CtriticalCid's Unified Launchbox Theme. While i have tried to stick to game themes/Flyers, this is not always possible with some of the older titles, so i had to use so artistic licence for some, and also had a bit of fun with a couple. All images used were found on google, so i take no credit for any of the amazing work that went into some of these pieces. Removed Mega Link, These are now posted to the forums on each new addition. Unified Theme https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1080-unified/ They are named as the roms are in my system, so you will have to add each one individually. I tried to make a Disc for every version of each rom, undoubtedly i may have missed a few, i will try to add these at a later date. Moving forward i will keep the Media for both 3D Boxes and Disc's updated for each new MSU-1 that becomes available. Big Thanks go out to RetroHumanoid who helped me yet again with some of the finer details in this set. Also to CriticalCid for his outstanding Unified Theme And ColPipes for being MAD! And Lordmonkus for his art ninja skills., he taught me well. Submitter MadK9 Submitted 04/22/2018 Category Game Media Packs

  9. Nintendo - MSU-1 3D Cases (Single and Dual Covers) (501) View File A NEW set of MSU-1 Covers, in the style of Cases rather than the Blu-Ray Style. There are 2 sets Single Faced - 250 Covers, most have alternates using the USA/JPN and PAL cover styles Double Faced - 251 Covers, most have alternates using the USA/JPN and PAL cover styles, All back covers are covered with proper information. These covers are not meant to be accurate representations of the original boxes, these are customs and are to be treated as such. You will need to add these covers manually, and i suggest if using these with the Unified theme to grab the Disc images i have also done. (Note if you do this, you will need to remove the Cart image folders, as the SNES system auto looks for carts before Disc's. These covers will be replacing the Blu-Ray covers going forward. If you would still like the Blu-Ray versions then please message me, and i can help you make them yourself. A lot of these covers came from http://thecoverproject.net . Covers that did not exist i tried to make as carefully as i could. I am no artist, all the images contained in these Cases are from the net and are made by more talented people than myself, i make these primarily for myself, so i hope you like them, and will use them. 15. Custom Platform Clear Logos View File Thought I would share in case anyone else is interested in using any of these. These are some of my custom Platform Clear Logos/Wheel Art. Some of these are from platforms that did not have adequate art. I use Viking's Nostalgia videos and plan on making custom background videos to go with some of these in the future. Submitter Dane Submitted 04/01/2018 Category Platform Clear Logos

    Issue with Retroarch

Hi guys so for about a year now im into emulation, slowly building my collection of games and systems. So yesterday i thought it was time to step it up a little bit. for the past i've been using a ps4 controller to control my games. I had a idea to buy system specific controllers. so yesterday i bought a usb nes controller and a snes controller. So while is was setting up i notiched that for one system it worked but once i changed the controller and system it all got messed up again. so thats where i find out asbout custom configs. But now a other problem pops up. i've got all the buttons that are needed mapped properly and saved to the right config but somehow once i go ingame all the buttons mess up again. for example i just have my nes controller mapped as button b to button b button a to button a ect. but ingame button a is fast forward and my start key is exiting the game . I only changed the buttons that where needed everything else is still default. What did i do wrong

    My custom SNES game borders

I've been working on a few border-overlays (bezels) and thought I would share them with the community! All overlays are intended for a 16:9 format using the core provided system aspect ratio in RetroArch. Adjust the opacity to your liking. These should work fine in Launchbox, but I haven't tested this as I have only ever used RetroArch to display overlays. For those interested, I use Solid12345's excellent analog shader pack (#3) for scan line filtering. You can find this pack over on the RetroArch forums. You can check out the filters and borders in action by clicking on the images below for my uploaded videos . Secret of Mana I loved staring at the box and cart art when I was a kid. I found a high quality scan and decided it would make a nice border! Final Fantasy VI (III) This is a tribute to Yoshitaka Amano's art. I used his Chibi versions of most of the game characters. I decided to make this border functional by adding Sabin's blitz combinations (SNES versions) in the right side border. It looks fine on my 60" LCD, but may look a little cluttered on smaller displays. The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past Another artist tribute. Shotaro Ishinomori's LTTP comic was originally serialized in Nintendo Power, it was reprinted in 2015. As a seminal nostalgia piece I picked it up and highly recommend to any collector (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Amazon $17.99). Scans and touch-up coloring done by myself. I have more planned, and will post them as they are completed. Thanks for letting me share!

Emulators won't launch my ROM files

Whenever I open games in launchbox, the emulator won't launch the games but the emulator will open. In the gba one it says unrecognized rom file but if I launch a gba rom manually it will work. Anybody has fix for this? I'd love to play lots of retro games with just clicking and pressing enter.

  23. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to report such a problem, but this appears to be the only forum section labeled for posting "issues". While this is admittedly a very minor issue, I figured it was worth reporting. The "Super Mario World" [SNES] theme music that plays when highlighting that game is incorrect. I don't know what game's theme music it is playing, but it definitely isn't Super Mario World. I manually played the mp3 at "LaunchBox\Music\Super Nintendo Entertainment System\Super Mario World.mp3" and it is indeed the wrong music (so it is not an issue of LaunchBox simply playing the wrong mp3). I'm not sure what database this music is downloaded from, so it is entirely possible LaunchBox has no control over fixing this problem. Being that I do not know who to contact to sort such a thing out, I figured I would post it here so that someone who is more knowledgeable could pass the message along to whoever is responsible for such things. I was able to find the correct MP3 to replace the incorrect one with, but I assume there might be legality issues with attaching said file to this forum post. Instead, I will provide instructions for locating the MP3 from an outside source for anyone who is interested. The way I obtained the file was finding the Super Mario World title song on YouTube at the following URL: I then used the following webpage to convert that YouTube url into a downloadable MP3: https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/mp3-converter Thanks for all the hard work on LaunchBox!
  24. I have been using LaunchBox for a while now, I recently went to open the program and it told me there was an update. I installed the update (November 4, 2017) and Now the Roms inside of the Program (I only use SNES) will not launch with the emulator SNES-9x unless I go select the rom file information, go into Edit & make it Launch with Snes9x......... I have tried to change the emulator path and I know I have SNES9x selected, yet every time I double click a box it says emulator path does not exist, unless I change the path manually, its not a big deal, it only takes 5 or 10 seconds, but still annoying and something I wanted to bring up for the next update if its happening to other peopl. Once you select the ROM files new path it will remember it, but you have to do it for all the games you want to play if you havent played them. So Im not sure If the update now requires emulator in the launchbox folder or what......... I would really appreciate some help on this, thank you
