Having a parameter like this in place would make it easier to make auto-populated playlists with games with the top star-ratings in an extensive collection, while also weeding out obscure games with a single digit amount of star ratings. Among some of the most revered games of all time, it is not uncommon to see the most unknown arcade games or licensed kids games for GBC all because they have one 5-star rating. If one had the ability to limit the resulting titles to those that have been rated, say, at least 10 times, it would create a better-curated collection of heavy hitters, and automatically, too! It would also be great to have the option to arrange game collections or playlists by "amount of star ratings", as Launchbox's star-rating count can often show which games are the most popular among users.

Hey guys, figure this place is as good as any to ask about this, hopefully I'm not just uselessly cluttering up the forum. I know it's not technically "troubleshooting", since there's nothing I can really do on my end to fix it, but is there any specific reason ratings are so universally low for Arcade roms? Nearly every game, including some very classic staples, are around .5 to 2 star rated with enough votes to have evened out to a higher average. Are people spamming the ratings system with low scores intentionally, or is something else going on?

2 questions: Alternate game star rating - keep roms name in title
Strathos70 posted a topic in Noobs
Hello, I started to use launchbox a few days ago and like it a lot so far but i'm wondering a few things. - Star rating Would it be possible without programming knowledge to not use stars to rate game, but simply a number (1-10) , If i do some crappy stuff myself, would it hard for me to use it in launchbox? - It is great that lauchnbox use its one games database, but there is one thing that bother me, maybe there is a way to do it i'm not aware about. I imported the no intro sega megadrive set, and noticed that it changed the title name to match the database (ex : The addams family > Addams family (the). This is not a big prolem obviously, so i don't mind that much. For another game, "Battle mania" and "Battle mania daiginjo", it found the 2nd game but did not found the first one, and decided to rename both to "Battle mania daiginjo", so you could think its the same game where it is not. It did not consolidate them though (which is a very nice feature). Is there an option I missed that can keep the exact rom file name? Thank you.
