I created this desktop theme for Windows 10 from 33 images and 30 wave files found around the internet and use them for my arcade cabinet. I take no credit for any of the images or sounds but thought I would share the theme in case anyone's interested. I put the Sound Scheme and Images together to create an ARCADE CLASSICS WINDOWS 10 DESKTOP THEME. Most images are 1920x1080 except for 2 that are a bit bigger and don't look that good scaled down. I know this is not specifically LaunchBox related but it is retro-gaming related so I though I would share. IN ORDER TO GET THE SOUND SCHEME AND DESKTOP THEME TO WORK TOGETHER: 1. Place the Arcade Classics Folder containing the WAV files into your %WINDIR%/media folder. 2. Double-click on the ARCADE CLASSICS THEME file (Arcade Classics.deskthemepack). It should connect the sound scheme to the desktop theme. I also included a VBS script that makes the desktop wallpaper rotate to the next random image and a shortcut to this script that makes it easy to double-click and run the script. You WILL NEED TO EDIT THE SHORTCUT depending on where you move the VBS script but I included it for completeness. Put the VB-SCRIPT wherever you'd like then edit the shourtcut to point to the vb-script. I have my script in my ../Hyperspin/ folder and the shortcut on my desktop but you can place it in your Launchbox directory or wherever you'd like. Enjoy, and let me know in the comments below if you have any issues with the theme or what your favorite images are. I like Space Invaders, Star Wars, and Battle Zone the best.

    FutureState Neon Deluxe

    Version v1.06 (Update 01-11-19)

    1,098 downloads

FUTURESTATE NEON DELUXE *Click follow to stay informed of important updates* ---Introduction--- This theme started out as a custom color skin for the FutureState theme by Hexxxer, I wanted to make something that would fit my gameroom's dark blue/purple blacklight lit environment, a bit like the good old dark arcades, where light plays an important role to the experience. It evolved after months of coding long, long... lloonng hours into this, I had to learn this coding language along the way, I hope it doesn't contain any errors and such. Huge thanks go out to @Hexxxer for his amazing theme (FutureState) framework, controls (HexControls.dll) and kind permission, without him I couldn't have done this. Also a huge thanks to @NJDave71 for making it possible to see the game count for playlists through HelperControl_v4.DLL which is included in this theme. Thanks guys! And everyone else for all the inspiration, enthusiasm and dedication. Enjoy please read these instructions well! ---Installation, Tips & Probable Issues--- 1. This theme uses images and video pretty heavy, it could run slow on older systems, I did add some faster/lighter views, try to see what works for you after you let the lists cache. Huge lists with thousands of games always run a bit slower as more data is being transfered. I recommend doing the following to speed up BigBox greatly: * Uncheck all Background Images in launchbox/settings/image priorities * Set all transitions to "None" in BigBox settings 2. This theme is probably only fit for use on a 16:9 aspect ratio, as I did use some absolute positioning of elements, I'm not very experienced yet to make a 4:3 relative positioning version, maybe someone else might be able to make such a version. 3. If you use a 4K display you probably have to set the Windows dpi settings to 200% in order to keep the layout intact. 4. You can find transparent background cabinets here at Arcade Cabinets Project 2.0: 5. Download the theme zip file and extract the content to Launchbox/Themes/ folder. 6. Install the font file, you can find it in the extracted folder FutureStateNeonDeluxe/_InstallationFiles/ 7. To make the placeholder work which shows the Cabinets/Advertisement Flyer - Back/Box Back in the screenshots needs some changes in your image priority settings within Launchbox. As the cabinets don't have their own placeholder to be coded in a theme I used the Cart 3D placeholder as I figured most people will only use one cart view or can set Cart 3D in image priorities to Cart Front. You can control a lot to your liking within image priorities, as long as you remember it's Cart 3D for this placeholder. My setup in image priorities within Launchbox options: 8. You might need to unblock the .DLL's in the plugin folder for them to work properly. ---Features--- Slide-in/out platform/game wheel, disappearing when not in use to make room for more possibilities. The logo's have a glow beneath them so you can still see black/dark logo's apart from the background. Special Marquee monitor filler magic trick (previously released to be used in other themes as well). Using the empty space around marquees in a special way. If you rather have the default marquee views just copy 'GameMarqueeView.xaml' and 'PlatformMarqueeView.xaml' from the default theme views folder and overwrite in this themes 'views' folder. And loads more... ---Views Description--- Platform View 1 (PlatformWheel1FiltersView) * A lot of Platform details * Device image * Large video/image with ambient/glow beneath it * Total games counter for platforms and playlists Platform View 2 (PlatformWheel2FiltersView) * Same as Platform View 1 except for a few differences * Fanart platform image in place of device image * Device image to the right side overlaying video/image Platform View 3 (PlatformWheel3FiltersView) * Same as Platform View 2 except for a few differences * Details panel makes room for full size video/image Platform View 4 (PlatformWheel4FiltersView) * Full screen video/image Platform View 5 (TextFiltersView) * Text list of Platforms * In the mid collumn Platform banner image, device image, fanart image * Even more details about the platform/playlist Games View 1 (WheelGamesView) * 2 Game Screenshots * Details I found useful * Game description * 3D box (You can switch image view on this placeholder with a button) with Cart image overlaying. * Cabinet/Back Box/Back Flyer overlaying on left side over video/image * Details overlaying video/image like your star rating, developer, publisher, genre, playmode. * Custom icons for Broken, Portable, Completed, Favorite and ESRB rating. * Platform logo in the middle * Scanlines overlaying the video/image Games View 2 (Wheel2GamesView) Same as Games View 1 but with Cabs/Back to the right side Games View 3 (Wheel3GamesView) Same as Games View 1 & 2 but without cabs/back and without scanlines over the video, for views which have high quality video's and/or theme video's Games View 4 (Wheel4GamesView) A view which might be more suitable for quick browsing, slower systems and require more game details. * Cab images without transparency look better in this view * Static logo wheel * Video below with glow beneath. The cabs/back images are filling the screen (maintaining aspect ratio) to the right for better readability of back covers and high quality cab images. I prefer this view for inspecting/sorting out my games. * Larger Icons right/below side. Games View 5 (TextGamesView) A view to see even more game details, without video, the idea here is you can see the front and back image side by side while being able to read the back image. As if you would hold the cover in your hand. * Static Text wheel * Many details * Large Icons * Box/Advertisement fronts beneath image * Cabs/Back to the right Games View 6 (GameDetailsView) Same as Games View 5 Another example of FutureState Neon Deluxe in action: Here's the startup theme to accompany this theme:

    Unified Refried

    Version 1.6.4

    7,558 downloads

I set out to make an alternate version to the beautiful Unified theme, with modifications here and there, yet,as I worked on it more and more,I started to go a different direction slightly...and thus Refried was born. This theme is built to focus on artwork, and showcase each system in bright colorful high definition artwork. I have drawn all new original arcade cabinets, and designed custom borders for each platform, which set each system apart from each other, while maintaining a unified appearance across the board. The main difference between this, and many other themes that are out there...are the video borders. When using the Default theme, all video borders are the same size across the entire theme...but,when using the addons, the video borders will then fit the system properly...so that the video for Game Boy Advance, will fit the GBA Video Border...and the PSP video, will fit the PSP Video Border. In other words,by using separate themes,it allows the video to represent the system perfectly...rather than the same size border for everything. This theme is more than capable of running without a single addon theme installed, and only using the Default...the addons are merely to extend the experience of each system, with special added artwork, and tweaks. In comparison,This theme works very much like coverbox...except with a default to fall back on. On the other hand, the Addon themes rely on certain files that reside in the Default theme...so while it is still possible,it is not suggested to run the addons without running the Default as well. I have built this theme as a package...so If anyone chooses to run the addons, without the default,or make any changes to the xaml files...I will not provide any help with issues that arise...sorry. There are multiple views included with the default theme, including - 1.Border with No Box/Cart/Disc Art 2.Border with Box/Cart/Disc Art 3.Border with Box/Spinning Cart/Disc Art 4.Full Screen Video w/Centered enlarged wheel 5.Border Text List View with Box/Cart/Disc Art Each Addon theme has 4 views, which are - 1.Special Artwork/Special Border with No Box/Cart/Disc Art 2.Special Border with Box/Cart/Disc Art (With wheel fade) 3.Special Border with Box/Cart/Disc Art (No wheel fade) 4.Special Border Text List View with Box/Cart/Disc Art In the case of the Addon themes...if the system has CD's/Discs,then the Disc will spin in Views 2 and 3...but,if the system has carts or floppies, then they will not spin in views 2 and 3. ***Notes on the Arcade Addon Theme*** *The Arcade theme consists of a single theme that contains all of the artwork for 65 Arcade platforms/Playlists,and is installed the same way as the Collections/Genres/Favorites themes* *Capable of displaying Video Marquees for each game in the marquee area of the cabinets (Some samples are included, and more are on the way)* Any Video Marquees must be placed in "LaunchBox/Themes/Unified Refried - Arcade/Images/Theme/Video Marquees/" and must be in mp4 format *Capable of displaying Marquees for each game in the marquee area of the cabinets In order to make this work properly, you must go into LaunchBox options, and change the priority for Cart Back Image to Arcade - Marquee, and uncheck anything else. This has been updated from the previous method, and if you still have the version where you have to add marquees to the theme folder,i highly suggest you update it again to this new version. *The Arcade theme has 5 views* 1.Dynamic Marquees with Character Artwork 2.No Dynamic Marquees with Character Artwork 3.Dynamic Marquees with Advert/Flyers 4.No Dynamic Marquees with Advert/Flyers 5.Text List View with Advert/Flyers/Cabinets Installation: 1.Download the Default theme,as well as any platform themes you would like, and place them separately in the themes folder located at Launchbox/Themes. The structure should look like this.. Unified Refried Unified Refried - Atari 2600 Unified Refried - Atari 5200 etc. 2.If you have not done so,you will need to unblock the Plugins...This does not have to be done for every addon theme,as unblocking them once,in the default,is all that is necessary...excerpt taken from unified description - 3.Set the theme to "Unified Refried" in Options/Views/Theme 4.Make sure to have "Remember seperate view for each Platform" turned on in Options/Views 5.Browse to any platform that you have installed the Platform theme for,and press your "Switch Theme" Key,Then select the appropriate Platform theme from the list. If you have not programmed a "Switch Theme" key,you may do so by going to Options/Keyboard Mappings or Options/Controller Buttons. Thanks @RetroNi for the use of his Logo set. @CriticalCid for his theme Unified,as I used alot of his coding as a base for the assembly of this theme. @kyoken @neil9000 @bundangdon @zetec-s-joe @Retro808 @Porl Hendy for their feedback during testing. @faeran for his help early on in the development stages. @Jason Carr because I used a bit of code from his Redux version, and took on some of his ideas from the changes he made @NJDave71 for his HelperControl plugin @bmonomad @Suhrvivor for their work on the Community Star Ratings,Favorites, and Play Mode code, which formed the base for implementing it into this theme @Ghostlines for his additions to the theme Examples: Theme Lists Arcade Consoles Handhelds Computers Pinball Ghostlines Additions The Platform/Playlist video set can be found here... 7. CriticalZone / CriticalZone - BlueBox View File IMPORTANT: We have recently encountered issues with the background video plugin in V2 which causes BigBox randomly to freeze. We don’t know yet how often this happens and what circumstances triggers them but if you want to make sure to run BigBox with a maximum of stability be sure to either use the FanartOnly versions or V1.8 and wait until these issues are fixed! CriticalZone is a BigBox theme designed for the usage of widescreen platform videos and utilizes videos as backgrounds. This theme was designed for widescreen displays with 16:9 aspect ratios and optimized for a display resolution of 1920x1080. It will also work with other widescreen resolutions and 16:10 aspect ratios but it may not look as polished. Alternative Versions: - CritcalZoneV2 - BlueBox: A blue color variant of CriticalZoneV2. It features blue texts instead of green and has a different Default background created by @SentaiBrad - BackgroundVideoOnly: All Views, except the TextList Views, will only use video loops as backgrounds. Also available as BlueBox version. - BackgroundFanartOnly: All Views will only use Fanart images as backgrounds. Also available as BlueBox version. -> Use this version if you have performance problems! - 1.8: The original and now old version of CriticalZone. It's officially EOL and won't get supported by me in any way. It's just still here for archiving reasons. There’s also a red 80’s/Cyberpunk themed version of CriticalZone called “CityHunter”. It’s maintained by @keltoigael and can be found here: V2 of CriticalZone now features a complete new video engine created by @eatkinola which supports the following: - Multiple background videos and randomized shuffle between them - Individual background videos for all Platforms, Platform Categories and Playlists Check the “Guide - How to set up your own background videos.pdf” file inside the theme folder for further instructions. If you need a great source for generic background videos, than I highly recommend this YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/dvdangor2011 How to install: Just download the version of choice and extract the archive into: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\” Go to the “Plugins” folder inside of the extracted folder and right-click on of the .dll files. Choose Properties -> Click on “Unblock” at the bottom of the window. Close the window. Repeat that for all 3 .dll files in that folder. Open the Options menu in BigBox -> go to “Views” and change the Theme to the version you just have installed. IMPORTANT: CriticalZone V2 requires LaunchBox v7.11 or higher! Known issues: - The star rating won't show up sometimes when you jump too quickly from one game to the next. - The description texts in all Platform Views and CoverFlowWithDetails Games View won’t fill the whole space of the descriptions box when you use CriticalZone with a higher DPI setting than 100% or a lower display resolution than 1902x1080. It gets progressively worse the higher the DPI settings and/or lower the resolution is. Thanks & Credits: Special thanks to @eatkinola for creating the new video engine and helping me with the star rating banners. I also would like to thank @SentaiBrad for creating the new Default background video for the BlueBox variant. Check out his YouTube channel were he continuous his RetroStyleSpotlight video series he once did for the LaunchBox channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/brad2008 Background video of the standard version: In The Deep - FREE Video Background Loop HD 1080p by NIZ.co (http://niz.co/wp/) Submitter CriticalCid Submitted 11/03/2016 Category Big Box Custom Themes

    Unified

Unified View File This theme is a port of the HyperSpin Unified Widescreen Megatheme project, which was originally started by gibbawho and continued by many other talented artists over the years. It’s supposed to bring a unified look (hence the name) across all platforms while giving every platform it’s own individual touch. I’ve tried to stay very close to the original look and feel but also took some creative freedom, especially when it comes to the new fading info panel at the bottom of the screen. This theme was designed for 16:9 screens and display resolutions only. Big Box will automatically scale itself to a 16:9 aspect ratio when you use a different aspect ratio on your machine. Features: Individual Artwork for a lot of different platforms and playlists + some alternatives you can choose from Matches with the Unified platform video set from EmuMovies Fully animated wheel pointer Spinning discs for disc-based platforms Various other custom animations Uses the weather plugin by @Grila Templates to build your own platform artwork are included as .psd files Brings a small taste of the HyperSpin feeling to your Big Box setup Currently featured Views: Games Text List View: 3D Box Games Vertical Wheel View 1: 3D Box Games Vertical Wheel View 2: 3D Box + static cart/disc Games Vertical Wheel View 3: 3D Box + rotating disc Games Vertical Wheel View 4: Fullscreen video Platform Vertical Wheel View 1: Fullscreen video + scrolling text Platform Vertical Wheel View 2: Fullscreen video without scrolling text More Views are planned, so stay tuned. The theme includes artwork for the following 198 Platforms/Playlists: The Add-on package includes artwork for the following 295 playlists: The theme will also display a default artwork for Platforms/Playlists which are not yet covered or wrongly named. How to install: This theme only works on LaunchBox version 8.2 or higher! Just download the archive and extract it to: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\” Go to the “Plugins” folder inside of the extracted folder and right-click on of the .dll files. Choose Properties -> Click on “Unblock” at the bottom of the window. Close the window. Repeat that for all .dll files in that folder. If the "Unblock" button isn't there than you are already good to go. Open the Options menu in Big Box -> go to “Views” and change the Theme to "Unified". Change the “Games List View” and “Platforms List View” to one of the currently featured Views that are listed above. Make sure that in the Big Box Options -> Views –> “Show Games List Title” is enabled. Info: Never rename the theme folder! The theme folder has to be named exactly "Unified" or the theme won't work properly! (that's btw. an universal tip for all other themes as well) How to install the Add-on package: Just extract the contents of the .zip file into your LaunchBox folder. Note: You have to create the proper playlists for the collections yourself! How to change the location and temperature measurement unit for the Weather plugin: 1. Close BigBox in case you have it opened up 2. Visit the website http://www.woeidlookup.com/ and search for a location of your choice 3. Go to the “Plugins” folder inside the Unified theme folder Path: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\Unified\Plugins” 4. Open the “GrilaBBWeather.dll.config” with a text editor of your choice. For example: Notepad 5. Copy the WOEID from the website and replace the already existing ID in the config file with it 6. If you want to change the temperature unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius just change the “f” under Units to a “c” 7. Save the config file and you’re done Known issues: The logo of the Platform/Playlist and the individual video border don't show up in the Game Details screen and the theme displays the generic Big Box logo and metallic video border instead when it gets opened through any other Games View than the Text List View. Tips for tweaking your LaunchBox setup for this theme: In LaunchBox: Tools -> Options -> Cart Front Priorities -> Select all Cart and Disc related entries, deselect everything else. In Big Box: Options ->Transitions -> Change "Game Image/Video Transition” to “Fade” In Big Box: To avoid spinning cart art go to: Options -> Views -> Make sure that „Remember separate View for each platform” is checked. Than go either to the Keyboard Mappings or the Controller Buttons settings and set up a key/button for “Switch View”. Now you can go back to your platforms and switch the games Views for each platform individually on the fly. Use the Unified Platform videos from EmuMovies for an overall uniform look. You can either download them as free user from the EmuMovies website or if you are an EmuMovies premium user you can get them directly through LaunchBox under: Tools -> "Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos". What is the Add-on package? The theme itself will always only include artwork for Platforms and Playlists that also have a Unified Platform video available on EmuMovies in order to provide a seamless experience. Everything else goes into the Add-on package. More generic playlists like franchises, series, genres, etc. are also only included in the Add-on package to avoid that the theme gets unnecessarily blown up it in its size. The same goes for everything that differs too much from the default Unified style. Individual platform artwork not showing up?: The media files that are inside the “..\LaunchBox\Themes\Unified\Images\Theme\..” folder have to be named exactly like your platforms inside LaunchBox. I've went with the HyperList/RocketLauncher naming conventions for the filenames in this package. If Big Box doesn’t show any individual artwork for a system that is listed above you may need to manually rename the relevant files for that platform in all four sub-folders. Also make sure that in the Big Box Options -> Views –> “Show Games List Title” is enabled! Discs are not spinning / showing up?: Make sure you have the right Games List View selected and Disc images in your Cart Image Priorities enabled (see the tips section of this download description). Switch Theme

Switch Theme View File Switch v1.0.3 BigBox Theme 8/30/2017 Display scaling over 100% will cause alignment issues with the platform wheel banner images. Switch Changelog: v1.0.3 (8/30/2017): - moved the GrilaControlLibrary.dll to the theme Plugins folder, which is an added feature since the theme release (the .dll will still need to be un-blocked before launching BigBox) - fixed the large outline bug reported by @jamesclarke555 (thanks again for reporting it to me) v1.0.2 (5/2/2017): - redesigned Text Games View (thanks for the inspiration @NahuelDS) v1.0.1 (4/21/2017): - Dark version added v1.0.0 (4/20/2017): - Initial release Theme Description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Switch is a very lightweight, clean theme that was designed to be as close to the original UI as possible. There isn't much artwork in this one: banners for the platform wheel view, covers for the box game view, and a video snap in the game details screen so it should run pretty smooth on low spec systems. It includes a custom control library that I've started to build that contains the battery status indicator as well as a separate 12 and 24 hour clock (since we can't change the format of the built-in one without changing Windows settings). Theme Notes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * Requires the file GrilaControlLibrary.dll to be un-blocked before launching BigBox. Make sure to do this for both the light and dark versions of the theme. * Utilizes the font Oxygen-Regular, which is included in the root theme folder. Install it before running this theme. * Designed for 1920x1080. I can't guarantee it will work at any other resolutions (really only the platform wheel), even in the same aspect ratio, because of the margin that is applied to the wheel to get it off center. The box game view and all text views are NOT affected by this and will work at any resolution, although text spacing and some other misc. elements may not look as perfect as they do at 1080. * Included is a sound pack for BigBox. Move it from the theme directory to LaunchBox\Sounds and select it in the BigBox options menu. It can also be downloaded here https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/467-switch/ * I've included some extra buttons and controller images along with the .PSD and .AI files to edit them if you feel the need. The extras can be swapped out to fit your system by simply copying them from the extras folder to the core image folder and renaming them. The file names have to match what's in the XAML, so you'll need to overwrite or delete the ones you are changing. Filenames are controller.png, play_button.png, and back_button.png. This is my latest theme and has taken many weeks of work to get to this stage. A big thank you to @eatkinola for his assistance with getting the video plugin working. The theme is loosely based on the Netflix interface and is designed to be a clean dark theme with an emphasis on fanart and videos. The plugin is included within the theme for the videos to work correctly. As with Netflix the theme is designed to show the fanart for approx. 4 seconds before then fading in the video. As the videos do not use the inbuilt Launchbox control and instead use the plugin I have found the experience smoother with the video option set to Windows Media Player rather than VLC and have not experienced any issues in doing this though your mileage may vary so if one doesn't work/stutters try the other. There is one platform view in this theme and 7 Game views. The Game views are clear logos vertical, screenshots vertical 4:3 format, screenshots vertical 16:9 format, horizontal clear logos, horizontal screenshots 4:3, horizontal screenshots 16:9 and a two row Wall View. The game details screen includes full controller layout for the various platforms (all major ones covered) and there is a template file included for Gimp GNU in the theme/images/controls folder should you wish to change the control images / styles. As always comments and suggestions welcome. Enjoy!

Here is a set of ,currently, 270 Collection videos to be used with playlists. This coincides with all of the media released in the @CriticalCid theme "Unified". I have decided to upload them here, because Jason is a busy man,and I understand how much work it could be to enter this many videos in manually. I do plan on releasing more in the future, with an estimated goal of around 500-600 total playlist videos,as well as all of the artwork for the Unified theme that's needed. I do not have an estimated time-frame as to the release of more,I just know that's the plan. While I never expect anyone to actually have 600 playlists in their BigBox setup,I do believe that variety is the spice of life, and this will give plenty of options for personalizing your lists.Enjoy! Here was the release video I made for the initial 70 Collection videos : And here was the preview video of the 200 videos that followed : You can also find the Genre videos here : And the Favorites videos here: And the Developer Video set here...

This is a loose port / interpretation of the Aeon MQ7 skin for Kodi. It’s one of my absolute favorite skins for Kodi and was a huge inspiration for my first BigBox theme: CriticalZone After @NJDave71 already brought Aeon Nox to BigBox I thought it would be time to bring Aeon MQ as well. This theme was designed for 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios and tested on 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 resolutions! This is just an early preview version that I built last September. Due to my new job I hadn’t much time to finish it up as an extensive theme like CriticalZone. I used the holidays to polish the Views that I already had as I don’t want to just sit on it any longer and I have definitely planned to add a ton of new Games Views to this, but I don’t know when I will find the time to do it. So for now just take it as it is and tell me what you think about it and what do you wish for potential updates. This theme currently features 4 Platforms and 3 Games Views. It also uses the Current Weather Control plugin by Grila. It shows the weather and temperature of a location of your choice. How to install: 1. Just download the archive and extract it to: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\” 2. Go to the “Plugins” folder inside of the extracted folder and right-click on of the .dll files. Choose Properties -> Click on “Unblock” at the bottom of the window. Close the window. Repeat that for all .dll files in that folder. If the "Unblock" button isn't there than you are already good to go. 3. Open the Options menu in BigBox -> go to “Views” and change the Theme to "Aeon MQ7". IMPORTANT: This theme requires at least LB v8.0 Beta-2 to work properly! It may run on previous versions as well but some features won't work properly with them. How to change the location and temperature measurement unit for the Weather plugin: 1. Close BigBox in case you have it opened up 2. Visit the website http://www.woeidlookup.com/ and search for a location of your choice 3. Go to the “Plugins” folder inside the Aeon MQ7 theme folder Path: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\Aeon MQ7\Plugins” 4. Save the config file and you’re done Showcase video of the Game Views by @pipes78 I like to thank the following persons for their indirect help to create this theme: @Grila for his weather plugin @NJDave71 for letting me use his HelperControl plugin that allows horizontal scrolling text in BigBox. @eatkinola for his guide on how to add fonts as a plugin And of course everyone who was working on the original Aeon MQ skin! Known issues: - The navigation for the game boxes doesn’t work in the Horizontal Wheel Platforms View 1 - The available space for the horizontal scrolling text gets smaller the higher the DPI settings are on your PC.

    Unified Refried

UnifiedRefried View File I set out to make an alternate version to the beautiful Unified theme, with modifications here and there, yet,as I worked on it more and more,I started to go a different direction slightly...and thus Refried was born. 19. To all the fantastic and skilled BigBox theme developers in this forum: Ever since I paid for my Launchbox licence, I've been waiting for a theme to closely resemble a "grid / console interface like", but sadly most of them have centred mostly on wheels (which I personally dislike), most of them rely on a "retro" or "snazzy neon oranges Republic of Gamers", and almost all of them rely on clear logos to be displayed properly. Since I use BigBox for retro AND current windows games, and since most windows games don't have a clear logo in the database, I've been running the Futurestate Black theme with text list view for as long as I can remember. Now, don't get me wrong: I'm not saying that wheel based, retro or ROG based themes are wrong. It just a matter of personal taste. I looked into making the theme myself, but XAML looks daunting and I don't think I have the time (or skills) required for me to develop a theme to my liking. So I wanted to ask the theme community if any developer would like to work on a new BigBox theme for a bounty: WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR Yeah, I know the Polymega and all its shenanigans smell fishy, but I really like its UI. The grid interface for selecting a game is clean and simple. I would love to have a grid with Fanarts/screenshots/backgrounds with the Clear Logo on top, or just the cover art cropped and centred. I don't know if we can theme the Games Details screen yet, but I would love to be displayed as Polymega's UI: screenshot or video at the top, the box on the left, followed by info to the right. Also, I would love a view with the same grid as the classic Kodi theme. I know the AEON theme has a similar view, but I wanted a cleaner look, boxes really close together, less text on top, boxes on the left and game description with the developer, publisher etc info on a more organized way. Also, a couple of requirements: Must work with 4k displays Must work with DPIs higher than 100% The theme can and should be released publicly So... I don't know how much I should offer at the start of this bounty since I really don't know how much time something like this would need in development. So if any developer would like to tackle this, let me know and name your price I'm not rich, but I personally would offer something like $60 USD? Don't know if any other forum members would like to add to this amount. Calling out for help: @gibbawho @Styphelus @Klopjero @Neonrage @knewlife @Creloce @CriticalCid @ghostlost @RetroHumanoid @ninja2bceen @THK @Rkh @scooter1974 @guyverjay @hoscarconh @viking Anyway, worst case scenario: Thanks for reading! Cheers.

    Modern Mini

Modern Mini View File This is a theme based on two themes. One is ClassicMini from @Grila https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/35204-classicmini/ And the unfinished theme "Red 84" from @Jegeroel https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/35634-red-84/ This theme is only possible with the helping hand from @Grila and his magic (and fast) codding skills. I only did the layouts (Kinda, because mostly it's based on what Grila did and Jegeroel) but I did some touches here and there. Also, I strongly recomend using @reignstumble console Artwork Packs : https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/33483-reignstumble-console-artwork-pack/ The main focus is to have the video playing in the Background and launch the game right away. But if you want more info about the game (like the ROM filename) take a look on the details page.I've been using this theme for about two weeks, and haven't encountered any problem on it. If someone needs the PSD files, so they can change the buttons layout, feel free to PM me and I release the file. Again, it wouldn't not be possible with the help of Grila! I hope you guys enjoy it!
