Hi there, this is the second theme that I made as an extension to the excellent Coverbox themes made by @faeran if you want more platform-specific themes, go check out his Coverbox main theme down below. I recommend using this with Coverbox. However, this theme is different compared to others that it's actually a theme that only plays when you are on the Wii U game selection screen. In order to make it work you have to do the following: (Before starting Big Box, go to Launchbox/Themes/Coverbox - Nintendo DS/Fonts and install the Nintendo-DS-BIOS.ttf font in order to properly display the theme) 1. Head over to Options in the Big Box Menu 2. Scroll down to Keyboard Shortcuts 3. Look through the list of options until you find "Switch Theme". 4. Choose a key for the shortcut and head over to your Nintendo DS Platform Game Selection Screen 5. Press the Key and choose the theme from the list that pops up. 6. Congratulations you now have a Nintendo DS Theme that launches no matter what another theme you're using. I hope that this theme will help you show off your Wii U collection even more and I will soon upload Wii U Video Snaps so stay tuned. My Nintendo Wii U Coverbox Theme: Link to Coverbox by @faeran
  3. Starplayer's Local Scraper for Launchbox View File This program is a scraper for your video files, to be used with launchbox. ------------What it does:------------ Imagine you have in your possesison a full collection of video snaps and theme videos for launchbox. Now, you might just have them all in your launchbox\videos\ folder, and everything will work. However, you might prefer to have only some games that you like in your launchbox installation, in a faster SSD, or you might have a Raspberry Pi, which has limited space. In those cases, you will want to only get the videos that correspond to the games you have in launchbox. This program does that automatically for you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------How do you use this program then??------------ Glad you ask! -1: set the path of your launchbox installation. Usually C:\program Files\Launchbox for example -2: set the path of the folder in which you have your full video collection. For example D:\Launchbox Videos\ -3: Check the checkboxes "Run for videos snaps" and "Run for Themes" depending on if you want to get game snaps, theme videos, or both -4: Press Run ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------Things to have in consideration:------------ You have to have your video folders with the same name of the folders in the launchbox directory. ie, if a folder is called "sega saturn" in launchbox, the correspondent in the folder that containsall your videos can't be called only "saturn". The blue button "Correct Names of video folders attempts to solve this, but you should check. If you want, you can run the program for just one game platform. To do that, check "Run for One Platform Only", press "Get Platforms" and select the platform you want to run for. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------"Other Options" explanation:------------ --"Ignore platform if no original videos are present" - check this if you don't want to be reminded thatthe program didn't found any videos for a specific platform. --"Rename original videos": check this if you also want the original videos in your video collection to bepermanently renamed to the name that launchbox is expecting for each game. Any suggestions, you can find me on Launchbox's forum. You're welcome. Be happy. Starplayer Submitter starplayer Submitted 12/16/2018 Category Third-party Apps and Plugins

  8. HexControls View File A collection of custom user controls to make custom themes easier. I will be updating the tool periodically with new features. Install for use Download HexControls.dll place the file in the plugins folder in your theme Screenshots Control. Description A control to randomly display a list of screenshots available for a game. It will stretch itself to the bounds of the container it is placed in. Default Use in a Theme <Hex:Screenshots/> Advanced Use Using the properties below will allow the user to effect the maximum number of screenshots shown, spacing and border controls Properties ScreenshotBorderColor: Border Color ScreenshotPanelOrientation: "Vertical" or "Horizontal" Direction Screenshot span ScreenshotMaxImages: Number of maximum screenshots shown (Default is 4) ScreenshotBorderSize: How thick the border around the screenshot is. Setting the bordersize to zero will remove the border ScreenshotCornerRadius: Curve around all edges of a scrrenshot ScreenshotMarginSize= Space Between each screenshots edge Example <Hex:Screenshots ScreenshotBorderColor="Blue" ScreenshotPanelOrientation="Vertical" ScreenshotMaxImages="10" ScreenshotBorderSize="15" ScreenshotCornerRadius="13" ScreenshotMarginSize="5" Grid.Column="15" Grid.Row="3" Grid.RowSpan="15" Grid.ColumnSpan="15"> </Hex:Screenshots> Star Rating Default Use in a Theme In a Game view call <Hex:StarRating /> Pretty much it for the default use. These are some platform videos I have made to fill gaps in my setup that had not previously been done. I use Viking's Nostalgia theme, so the videos are in that style. They might not be as great as Viking's quality work but they do the job. I like to split some of my systems up into different categories/platforms. As the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive is my favorite system I have split it up into what you will find here. 11. Hi, I'm currently working to make a new BigBox theme, suddenly; I ran into a weird problem; when I changed the platforms wheel from vertical to horizontal (using the code available at the documentation.pdf) whatever image type I choose, I only get blank text, I tried using other image types, but it doesn't work either?! This is the code if you want to take a look: <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:transitions="clr-namespace:Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf.Transitions;assembly=Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf" xmlns:coverFlow="clr-namespace:Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf.Controls.CoverFlow;assembly=Unbroken.LaunchBox.Wpf" xmlns:cal="http://www.caliburnproject.org" xmlns:i="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/2010/interactivity" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="562" d:DesignWidth="1000" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Style="{DynamicResource UserControlStyle}"> <Canvas Name="Canvas"> <transitions:TransitionPresenter TransitionSelector="{Binding BackgroundTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding BackgroundView}" Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}" IsContentVideo="true" /> <Grid Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}"> <Grid. Background> <SolidColorBrush Color="Black" Opacity="{Binding BackgroundFade}" /> </Grid.Background> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="42*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="92*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <coverFlow:FlowControl x:Name="FlowControl" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Column="0" ImageType="Clear Logo" CurveAmount="0" CameraZPosition="6.0" VisibleCount="14" PageSize="6" ItemZPosition="1.0" SelectedItemZPosition="3.0" Spacing="3.5"> <coverFlow:FlowControl.CoverFactory> <coverFlow:HorizontalWheelCoverFactory /> </coverFlow:FlowControl.CoverFactory> </coverFlow:FlowControl> <Grid Grid.Column="2"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="5*" /> <RowDefinition Height="50*" /> <RowDefinition Height="2*" /> <RowDefinition Height="50*" /> <RowDefinition Height="5*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid Grid.Row="1"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="44*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="57*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="4*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Column="0" TransitionSelector="{Binding ImageTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding ImageView}" /> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Column="2" TransitionSelector="{Binding DetailsTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding DetailsView}" /> </Grid> <transitions:TransitionPresenter Grid.Row="3" TransitionSelector="{Binding ImageVideoTransitionSelector}" Content="{Binding ImageVideoView}" IsContentVideo="true" /> </Grid> </Grid> </Canvas> </UserControl> Thank you so much for support.

  16. Trying to preview any platform theme videos over the past couple of days has been impossible. VLC does not want to run the preview. when I select a theme video to download, the green bar goes to the end and it sits for ages (10-15mins) without finishing the download. When running Big Box, only about half the video plays. Is this a known issue?
  17. Can anyone help me identify which theme is being used at the very beginning of the Big Box Multi-Theme Demo video on YouTube? It's so awesome looking. I've searched through so many of the Theme downloads but can't seem to find it.
  18. Hi, I use the Critical Zone theme, I'm trying to change the clear logos, in the game wheel, to banners, I made a copy of the theme, edited Imagetype"Clear Logos" to "Banner", didn't work, so changed it to "Banners", still doesn't work, I'm super new to theme designing so any help is highly appreciated. Thank you. -Nasr A. Bajbair
  19. Hi all! I got a noob question. I'm moving from a RetroPie fully loaded to my PC that can run way more stuff than a RaspberryPie3. (My pc is FAT but is FAST) I installed Lauchbox, got a license since it's an awesome piece of software. I installed Retroarch, setup a couple emulator and add a couple of games. I got most boxart, description, etc working (some roms are just messy and was not identified). I install the custom theme RetroFresh since the demo video was magnificent. (I'm sure there other really great, I will find them too!) I started BIG BOX MODE and it's really not like in the video! I guess I have to scrape a bunch of custom art... Is there a tutorial about how to setup the theme properly and get all the game name in logo, the intro video for the console (for the game too if possible)? In other word, I would like to setup my theme like it's showed in this video! Edit 1: Looking deeper I found stuff about EmuMovie. I make an account and will try to sync with LauchBox. Thanks!!
  20. Hey boys, anyone know where I can find these themes?
  21. This is my design under another Front End and it became the default Theme. I have gotten several requests to bring it to BigBox. Here are a couple of screen Shots to give you an idea. I am working on the design and as i get closer to a working version I will post an update. Happy Gaming

This was designed as a tribute to all of the amazing content creators besides myself who give all they have to this community and movement! Thank you for all your hardwork and dedication. The theme is 29 seconds long purposely 1080p HD res. Intros have been integrated as of 7.8. You can download THIS intro under downloads then "Launchbox/Bigbox Official Media " and "Epic LauncBox Collaboration Theme" To get this working. Simply download the intro, rename it to startup.mp4 the drop it into your ...\Launchbox\Videos\ folder. Open BigBox/Options/general and set a startup delay/turn off bigbox logo on start.
  23. I know some of you have been waiting for these for awhile and due to real life circumstances, I've had to put them on hiatus. However, I'm now back in the swing of things and wanted to see if recorded HyperSpin themes are still of interest to anyone? With all the new cinematic 16:9 themes being made, I'm not sure how much interest still remains for these old 4:3 themes but I personally prefer these for representing my old console systems in BigBox and leave the widescreen themes to the newer consoles (PSP, Wii, etc). Either way, I still feel these old themes should be preserved so I'm going to continue recording all I can with N64 being the latest set I tackle. I'm hoping to have these done within the next few weeks and ready for @circo to add to the EmuMovies FTP. I'll update back when they're released. I'll also be adding some new themes to the previously released sets (NES, SNES, Genesis, etc). Hopefully the community will make use of them... Stay tuned
