I really liked the retro bedroom theme, but there were a couple small things that I wanted to change. Then I ended up making an altered version of the background and changed the entire theme setup quite a bit with stuff from my childhood. Hope you enjoy it! If you have any ideas on how to improve this let me know!!! If anyone is interested in it, I may update this to be customizable where you can upload your own posters and such on the walls, currently only use the vertical scroll views, the others are not set up yet Looking to update some more stuff in the near future and tweak some stuff, when I do I'll upload the new version. Original Creator of bedroom theme Faeran was gracious enough to allow me to upload this so thank you! -
When I apply the Aeon MQ7 theme onto my Playstation 1 playlist, the game title screenshot that is supposed to be present throughout the themes list views is not there. When I use the theme on different platforms however, the screenshots do show up. I have not tampered with the html file yet, and all my screenshots are in their default folders for my Playstation 1 games as I deleted and reinstalled all the media for this platform. I am guessing I switched some setting on launchbox that is giving me this problem, and I do not remember when or how I changed it if that is the problem. All my screenshot priorities in the options tab under tools have been set to default and the issue is not fixed.

Is it possible to use more than one theme at once? And is it possible to have specific themes for each individual game? I had seen something similar to a Big Box theme, which had a per-game theme feature in addition to the per-platform themes. But I just want to be sure this is possible. Thanks.

These are some platform videos I have made to fill gaps in my setup that had not previously been done. I use Viking's Nostalgia theme, so the videos are in that style. They might not be as great as Viking's quality work but they do the job. I like to split some of my systems up into different categories/platforms. As the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive is my favorite system I have split it up into what you will find here. Sega Mega Drive (Brazil) Sega Mega Drive (China) Sega Mega Drive (Homebrew) Sega Mega Drive (Japan) Sega Mega Drive (Prototypes) Sega Mega Drive (Sega Game Toshokan) Sega Mega Drive (Sonic Hacks) Sega Mega Drive (SOR Hacks) Sega Mega Drive (Translations) Sega Mega Drive (Unlicensed) Here are the rest: Applied Technology MicroBee Cybiko Cybiko Cybiko Xtreme Doom Doujin Fujitsu FM-7 Galaksija IBM PCjr Infocom Interact Family Computer Microsoft MSX Turbo-R NEC PC Engine CD NEC PC-6001 Philips P2000T Philips Videopac+ PopCap Sega Master System (Brazil) Sharp MZ-700 Tangerine Oric Tatung Einstein TC-01 Thomson MO5 Thomson TO7 Thomson TO8 Videoton TV-Computer VTech Laser 200 Sorry about the file sizes as they are bigger than the norm. I did not know how to get them as small as Viking's, but size is not an issue with my computer so I apologize if it is with yours. Here are some of the custom logos I have done for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive:- 2 comments

Ps5 Theme for Big box View File Best theme for gaming on big box Submitter ANASS RAKID Submitted 12/20/2021 Category Big Box Custom Themes

Overall, Im pretty satisfied with Launchbox/Bigbox These last 2 years. Recently I saw a Coinops Theme called Arcade Elites 2 and I almost gave up on Launchbox over this one arcade based theme. However the lack of consoles and unfamilar, ackward file layout was the reason I didnt. Every Arcade game had its original cabinet design with bezels. I know about the coinops theme in launchbox, but it is a elementary and strupped version Does anyone know of a theme that uses all. Of the collected marquees, control panels, and cabinet artwork or a way to do this manually. I use the ultrawide theme that has a arcade cabinet but the marquee stays the same. It seems counops and hyperspin both have been doing this for years, but despite Launcbox having a mass amount of visuals and metadata handsdown, I have not seen a similar theme. They are mostly Emulation Station types.

So while trying to use the theme "Colorful - Light" I get this error message in BigBox.. "an error occurred while parsing the custom platform wheel1filters view". It's quite frustrating and was wondering who would be a kind fellow and help me out.

This is my design under another Front End and it became the default Theme. I have gotten several requests to bring it to BigBox. Here are a couple of screen Shots to give you an idea. I am working on the design and as i get closer to a working version I will post an update. Happy Gaming

I'm having a little trouble with the apply to function, specifically with Colorful - Dark. When I apply the selective process to a games view list, it gives me the option to not apply the theme to my platforms list. So I can maintain a custom theme (that doesn't have the apply to function) as my platforms view and have colorful as my games view. But when I try to do the inverse, apply colorful to my platforms view and keep the custom theme as my games view, it resets my games view to match Colorful as well. Anybody know what could be causing this and/or if it's even fixable? Also, is there a way to apply a separate view to a game once you select it and keep another theme in place in the games list?

Everytime I try switching off Default I get a barrage of error messages saying it can’t parse basically everything in the views folder -.- Why does this happen? I’ve tried reinstalling multiple times with no fix. Please send help! I see a bunch of people have this issue and no one has an answer so far!

This program is a scraper for your video files, to be used with launchbox. ------------What it does:------------ Imagine you have in your possesison a full collection of video snaps and theme videos for launchbox. Now, you might just have them all in your launchbox\videos\ folder, and everything will work. However, you might prefer to have only some games that you like in your launchbox installation, in a faster SSD, or you might have a Raspberry Pi, which has limited space. In those cases, you will want to only get the videos that correspond to the games you have in launchbox. This program does that automatically for you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------How do you use this program then??------------ Glad you ask! -1: set the path of your launchbox installation. Usually C:\program Files\Launchbox for example -2: set the path of the folder in which you have your full video collection. For example D:\Launchbox Videos\ -3: Check the checkboxes "Run for videos snaps" and "Run for Themes" depending on if you want to get game snaps, theme videos, or both -4: Press Run ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------Things to have in consideration:------------ You have to have your video folders with the same name of the folders in the launchbox directory. ie, if a folder is called "sega saturn" in launchbox, the correspondent in the folder that containsall your videos can't be called only "saturn". The blue button "Correct Names of video folders attempts to solve this, but you should check. If you want, you can run the program for just one game platform. To do that, check "Run for One Platform Only", press "Get Platforms" and select the platform you want to run for. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------"Other Options" explanation:------------ --"Ignore platform if no original videos are present" - check this if you don't want to be reminded thatthe program didn't found any videos for a specific platform. --"Rename original videos": check this if you also want the original videos in your video collection to bepermanently renamed to the name that launchbox is expecting for each game. Any suggestions, you can find me on Launchbox's forum. You're welcome. Be happy. Starplayer Update: You can find the source code here, in case anyone wants to change it. License is GPL: https://github.com/rafcon-dev/Launchbox-Local-Scraper -

To Hillbilly or NOT to Hillbilly, that is the question! This is my first attempt with themes and I'm not sure if it was is ready to share yet, but I did. I'm sure there are things that need fixin' that I haven't found yet. It sure ain't perfect and I'm still a workin' on it as I learn. I want to especially thank the folks that replied to my questions in the forums as I worked on this. I also want to say thanks to ALL the great folks of the LB/BB community that simply contribute. They are incredible folks spending 1000s of hours of their time creating new content or taking ideas that others have shared and coming up with new things, designs and looks and share it with us. I am sure many of you can do it with this theme even and reciprocate it back to all of us. Enough about that. Bigbox is all about being able to customize things to your preferences. I really like much of the different Unified themes out there. I also really like the Colorful themes and the Colorful videos. Hillbillies patch things together with bailing wire and duct tape. Me being a "briarhopper" aka hillbilly (couldn't find enough artwork for briarhoppers), and patching things together like we do, I borrowed from the different version of the Unified and Colorful themes. The Hillbilly Edition theme is more of a Unified type theme, but I added some of the features and colors to go well with the Colorful videos, like the Fanart Backgrounds I created for it. One of the main reasons I decided to try to do this was to do something more with Play Modes. I wanted, especially for my large collection, a easy way to see the play modes quickly. So I turned all this into my own mess the best I could. In the older days, you had Single or Multiplayer games, but now there are so many more play mode options. Now there are play modes like Single, Local Multiplayer, MMO (online multiplayer), Co-op, PvP, Simultaneous, Alternating, Shared Screen, Split Screen, Virtual Reality, and all the others and different combinations of them. If you watched the video, maybe you noticed the Players section shown at the bottom of the video. I created over 120+ playmode images to accomplish this (Of course, I still have many games that are not fixed in my collection and you will see that too). It was pretty easy to change all my Play Modes using the bulk edit feature in LaunchBox, and of course I continue to fix games if I find one that isn't correct or has no play mode as I run across them. In the screenshots, I tried showing the different Platforms first, then the Wheel Games, then the Text Games views. There is also one screenshot of each platform that is without the hillbilly using the Un-hillbilly video borders. The video shows more. Video Example What's used in the video: - Startup Video - Robot Voices sound pack - Hillbilly Edition theme (templates are included in the appropriate folders to personalize) - Colorful videos (with a few generic platform videos I attempted to make, that can be downloaded from here) - Platform Clear Logos (included in the theme) - Gold Rating Stars (included in the theme) - Platform Fanart Background images (included in the theme) - Hillbilly Edition-Startup Theme - Hillbilly Edition-Pause Theme Other Downloads: (you might be able to use some of these in other themes) - Un-hillbilly VideoBorders if you want to remove the hillbilly - VideoBorders without the Play Mode legend (looks cleaner and not really needed once you get the hang of how the play mode images work) - Fanart Platform backgrounds to match the Colorful videos (these are included in theme) - Different colors of Star Icons for rating stars - Legend template & Legend Images to make you own legends for Play Modes. - Blank Clear Logo image to make you own Platform Clear Logos - Colorful type platform videos I made until Viking makes the good stuff. - Extra Platform and Collection Backgrounds (500 of them, most were included with one of the other Unified versions) Instructions: Download & extract. Place the "Hillbilly Edition" folder in the "..\Launchbox\theme\" folder Download any of the extra things you might like to use or change, like the VideoBorders or Stars. Each download should have a Readme.txt in it as well as the template (if there was one). A lot of the stuff is included with the theme already, so check above to make sure not to download it again. I uploaded them seperate so folks might download them to use with other themes, like folks using the Colorful videos might like the Fanart Backgrounds. Additional Notes: - To stop spinning game cartidges, you need to go into BB Options > Views and make sure to check "Remember Seperate View for Each Platform", then back out of the Options and use the <TAB> key on your keyboard to change views until you get the views you want. - If you want to change the Options background, there are a couple alternates called Background (Alt).jpg, just rename the one you want to use to "Background.jpg" or put any jpg image you want to use in the MainMenu folder and name it to Background.jpg. (I recommend at least 1920x1080, but I tried using 3840x2160 throught the theme) - To achieve the side-ways view of the cartridges, I turned all my cartridge images 90 degrees using a free image editor called FS-Image Editor in just a couple minutes. - I also resize all my images using FS-Image Editor (usually once a year or so). It can save a ton of HDD space and it also makes everything more uniform. So if you have something out of whack as far as sizes, like boxes way to big, you might wanna give this a try. Bonus: I wanted to make sure anyone could change the theme as easy as possible to their own tastes. Dont like something I did in the theme? No problem, swap out the hillbilly for a picture of your dog. I have included all the Photoshop templates. Some as simple as clicking things off/on and saving your changes. You can completely re-do about any part of the theme using nothing more that Photoshop and Notepad++. I just barely get by with Photoshop, so if I can do it, I'm sure you can too. I hope you enjoy the theme!! I appreciate any and all comments, reviews, likes, etc.. If ya have any questions or issues, let me know and I will get back as best I can.-

Hello all! I applied a new theme in Launchbox which caused the "Options" to get corrupted. Upon selecting "Options" a small little window pops up which you can see in attachment "snip.png". Attachment "snip2.png" is the result of dragging the window open. All the options have been replaced with an image called "options". Is there a way I can manually fix this issue? Reinstalling did not fix the problem. Thanks, kagemurax
