  2. I am trying to download game clips (videos) from EmuMovies. I thought in the past that there was an video option under the Download Metadata and Media Wizard window. However, video download doesn't seem to be an option. Am I missing something?
  3. Hello, I've purchased a premium license but I'm interested in getting my video snaps to play in Launchbox premium not Big Box (I know they play in Big Box but I'm trying to troubleshoot some slowness in the UI). The platform I am working with is NES. I have the video in \LaunchBox\Videos\Nintendo Entertainment System and it is named the same as my Rom in the Games folder. Under Tools I have selected 'Autoplay Videos'. In the game I am testing it shows a path to the video file and it points to the correct file. I have the game details sidebar visible, but still I see no video snap. What am I missing here?

A set of 155 (with more to come) platform videos, that I have created to match perfectly with my Refried theme. I have used the same character,Background, and border art in the videos, that is in the theme, for the majority of the videos. I am sure it's obvious where the influence came from for the theme, but, this whole thing started out as an alternate version to the Unified theme, which sort of took off and became something slightly different overall. While I do have plans for about 60+ more videos to add to this set,I am afraid I cannot take requests,at least until the project,as a whole, is completed. A special Thank you to @RetroNi for allowing me to use his white bordered logo set, with a few changes, for the titles in these videos...As well as @CriticalCid for giving me the unspoken inspiration to even start this project in the first place! Samples - Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Sega CD - AAE - Capcom CPSIII - Pinball FX2 - Nintendo Virtual Boy - Microsoft MS-DOS - The Main Theme can be found here... 8. CriticalZone / CriticalZone - BlueBox View File Here you can download alternative versions of the CriticalZoneV2 theme that comes bundled with every LaunchBox installation. CriticalZone is a BigBox theme designed for the usage of widescreen platform videos and utilizes videos as backgrounds. This theme was designed for widescreen displays with 16:9 aspect ratios and optimized for a display resolution of 1920x1080. It will also work with other widescreen resolutions and 16:10 aspect ratios but it may not look as polished. Available Versions: - CritcalZoneV2 - BlueBox: A blue color variant of CriticalZoneV2. It features blue texts instead of green and has a different Default background created by @SentaiBrad - BackgroundVideoOnly: All Views, except the TextList Views, will only use video loops as backgrounds. Also available as BlueBox version. - BackgroundFanartOnly: All Views will only use Fanart images as backgrounds. Also available as BlueBox version. -> Use this version if you have performance problems! - 1.8: The original and now old version of CriticalZone. It's officially EOL and won't get supported by me in any way. It's just still here for archiving reasons. There’s also a red 80’s/Cyberpunk themed version of CriticalZone called “CityHunter”. It’s maintained by @keltoigael and can be found here: How to install: Just download the version of choice and extract the archive into: “..\LaunchBox\Themes\” Open the Options menu in BigBox -> go to “Views” and change the Theme to the version you just have installed. IMPORTANT: CriticalZone V2 requires LaunchBox v7.11 or higher! Known issues: - The description texts in all Platform Views and CoverFlowWithDetails Games View won’t fill the whole space of the descriptions box when you use CriticalZone with a higher DPI setting than 100% or a lower display resolution than 1902x1080. It gets progressively worse the higher the DPI settings and/or lower the resolution is. Thanks & Credits: Thanks to @SentaiBrad for creating the new Default background video for the BlueBox variant. 9. Starplayer's Local Scraper for Launchbox View File This program is a scraper for your video files, to be used with launchbox. ------------What it does:------------ Imagine you have in your possesison a full collection of video snaps and theme videos for launchbox. Now, you might just have them all in your launchbox\videos\ folder, and everything will work. However, you might prefer to have only some games that you like in your launchbox installation, in a faster SSD, or you might have a Raspberry Pi, which has limited space. In those cases, you will want to only get the videos that correspond to the games you have in launchbox. This program does that automatically for you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------How do you use this program then??------------ Glad you ask! -1: set the path of your launchbox installation. Usually C:\program Files\Launchbox for example -2: set the path of the folder in which you have your full video collection. For example D:\Launchbox Videos\ -3: Check the checkboxes "Run for videos snaps" and "Run for Themes" depending on if you want to get game snaps, theme videos, or both -4: Press Run ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------Things to have in consideration:------------ You have to have your video folders with the same name of the folders in the launchbox directory. ie, if a folder is called "sega saturn" in launchbox, the correspondent in the folder that containsall your videos can't be called only "saturn". The blue button "Correct Names of video folders attempts to solve this, but you should check. If you want, you can run the program for just one game platform. To do that, check "Run for One Platform Only", press "Get Platforms" and select the platform you want to run for. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------"Other Options" explanation:------------ --"Ignore platform if no original videos are present" - check this if you don't want to be reminded thatthe program didn't found any videos for a specific platform. --"Rename original videos": check this if you also want the original videos in your video collection to bepermanently renamed to the name that launchbox is expecting for each game. Any suggestions, you can find me on Launchbox's forum. You're welcome. Be happy. Starplayer Submitter starplayer Submitted 12/16/2018 Category Third-party Apps and Plugins

  17. I'm fine with doing this, even though it's a depressing experience with all the wait timers and such.. But I'm just curious if LaunchBox supports a method of finding and downloading the relevant game video snaps (the videos that play for each game) automatically? Emumovies process is arduous as it goes like this: Click download button See list of files Click 3 that you want (after ctrl+f to find the games you need) As soon as one file starts downloading, it closes the file list and you have to scroll back to the top to start again Rinse and repeat. I've almost finished my N64 set of video snaps, but I'm dreading doing this for all my games. Is there a better way? Thanks! PS: I know you can pay to remove the download limits and such, but I'm a chronic pain sufferer and unable to work as a result, so I really don't have the money to do this (otherwise I would gladly support them). Please don't take this as a complaining thread, it's far from it. I just want to see if i'm missing something obvious. If this feature doesn't exist, maybe it could be a feature request?

These are some platform videos I have made to fill gaps in my setup that had not previously been done. I use Viking's Nostalgia theme, so the videos are in that style. They might not be as great as Viking's quality work but they do the job. I like to split some of my systems up into different categories/platforms. As the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive is my favorite system I have split it up into what you will find here. 20. Here is a video of some custom videos and platform clear logos I have made for the SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis which is my favorite console. I like to split some of the systems up into various regions and categories etc. Number 1 and 4 in the list are the standard ones created by @viking and the rest I did myself. The first minute of the video is scrolling down to the MD / Gen. The regions and categories are: SEGA Genesis SEGA Mega Drive (Brazil) SEGA Mega Drive (China) SEGA Mega Drive (Europe) SEGA Mega Drive (Japan) SEGA Mega Drive (Prototypes) SEGA Mega Drive (SEGA Game Toshokan) SEGA Mega Drive (Sonic Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (SOR Hacks) SEGA Mega Drive (Translations) SEGA Mega Drive (Unlicensed) I have made other custom videos and the likes for other platforms but will show it all off when I have completely finished, probably in fifty years. The video is unlisted on YouTube so if there is any problems viewing it let me know and I will change it.
  21. Is there a feature, similar the one that cleans up unused images, for cleaning up unused videos?
  22. Okay, this is a really weird problem I cannot figure out. I have added tons of system and games to my LaunchBox and when I did so originally I had everything ticked for EmuMovies (I have a full premium account), Everything has worked perfectly up until now. Recently I updated all the metadata and media for my 15k+ games, I selected the option to not replace any existing stuff but just to fill in the blanks. It took 4 days to do but afterwards in BigBox most of the game preview videos do not work. I only mention that as it is the only thing I have done lately to everything. Not the games are either showing a game-play screenshot instead or nothing. Here is an example: I only have 8 PS1 games and before they were ALL showing their preview videos, then they did not, just before posting this I updated the media for the 8 PS1 games only selecting to update the videos from EmuMovies and now they are all showing correctly again. I cannot figure out what is going on as everything originally worked just fine.
  23. Hello, I am currently using Viking's wonderful Nostalgia videos with the BigCouch theme and it looks great. Though, I like the look of this far more. I am pretty sure the Nostalgia videos are being used with the Default theme there? Would anyone be so kind as to give me a little tutorial on how to achieve this?
  24. I've run into an issue where my game videos for certain platforms (mostly Nintendo) just won't play as a background video anymore. I had installed some themes from the forums, they didn't work well (I have a weird 16:10 video poker display) and so I went back to the default theme. Now certain systems won't play game videos. Platform theme videos work and other system games and mame games work. All the files are in the right spots. The folder paths are correct. I've messed with every setting and nothing works. Please help me, I am going insane with this! Update: I rebooted my system and everything worked. Another reboot, Gameboy doesn't load game videos!
  25. I have some small questions and i do not think I should create a thread for each so I want to post here. You can also point to any helpful videos Videos: How do I add background videos to the frontend? I would like to edit the background video for critical zone..
